False Advertising

I chose not to use Lowry, because of their misleading bait-and-switch advertising tactics. They have been running the same advertisement that people have complained about to the Better Business Bureau last year 2020. If this were an honest company they would have stopped running the ad/coupon. They claim to offer up front pricing. When you contact them they say that they are "no longer offering that promotion ". Yet the promotion is Copywritten 2021 and doesn't expire until a future date. They insist on a $49 trip fee, no free estimate as advertised. They have no idea how much the job they do everyday typically costs. What company doesn't have a (estimated) price list for work they perform every day? They also run an ad for drain cleaning that they do not honor. After multiple complaints regarding their tactics, Lowry Services continues to run the same deceitful ads. Go with a service that offers up front pricing. If you go with Lowry's you will end up paying more anyway.

People need to know about there practices

Did a good job but completely raped me on pricing. Got a quote done after they did work because my bill seemed very high. Talked to 2 of there competitors and they said my bill shouldn't have bin more than $600 max. Was charged $1200 after a $400 military discount. Not to mention they didnt give me a price amount for any of the work, just what they wanted as payment. If it wasnt a time sensitive issue I never would have went with them and will never again. I'll just go without electric before I higher them again.

Maintenance scheduled twice. Never showed. No phone calls.

We scheduled routine annual maintenance on our oil furnace. We waited an entire day the first time and when we called the rep said they had tried to call us - verified phone number, no missed calls. We re-scheduled. Same experience.

Problems caused by Lowry

In June 2020 I noticed a leak on my finished basement's ceiling. I called Lawry Services and Angel came to my house. After inspecting the area, it was concluded that the main stack pipe was probably broken and causing the problem. He drew up a contract of over $11,500.00 (which I have since found out was extremely high) and work began on 6/22/20. The crew was in my house for four days and it seemed at that time, they did a good job. If wasn't until later we found several problems. 1st-When the toilet in the upstairs bathroom was reset, we discovered that the plumbing was moved closer to the wall. Now the toilet is only 7 1/2 inches from the wall making it uncomfortable and harder to clean that area. 2nd-When the plywood was put down on the bathroom floor, *** was drilled into the board and the tile floor beneath it, resulting in an increased cost to repair the tile floor. 3rd-After the heavy rain in August, I observed rain water running down the outside of the new stack pipe. It seems that when the new pipe was installed the seal around the vent on the roof was compromised. We need to hire a roofer to fix this issue. 4th-The worst issue turn out to be when the old pipe was being removed, debris fell into the main pipe causing three blockages to the main sewer pipe. I discovered this several days later when I ended up with raw sewage on the basement floor and bathroom. I had to hire a sewer clean out company to unblock the main pipe and clean up all the sewage. 5th-I called Lawry services on July 11th to explain the problems. Angel came to the house again to check it out. There was very little he could do since I have been taking care of things as they happened. Angel said that there was nothing he could do. He did take a couple photos of the roof vent, and he said that he would give this to his boss who would call us back. No call was ever received. In conclusion, I will never use this company again and I will not ever recommend them to anyone else

A big ripoff

Come out and give you a quote double the price and then charge you $49 dollars when you tell them forget it. Great way to fleece customers and build your reputation. Stay away from this company at all costs!

Took money never heard again.

Tech came, did not listen to what was wrong, duct work and jumper connection on A/C , did not like that he had to go under the house to fix. He told me what I already knew, that the insulation was down and that the duct work had tears. I already knew that. He said he would turn it into his boss to get a estimate. Have not heard a thing since. But they took the $89.00 fee and told me nothing and this was a week ago. I called today and there was nothing on file other than what he saw but not when to re pair it or how much. Girl on the phone was as perplexed as I am.

PLUMBING WORK QUOTE

A plumber from Lowry, Dan N. arrived at my house and quoted me $1100.00 to add a frost-free silcock. In the quote he noted that he had to "DRAIN MY SYSTEM DOWN"; no kidding that's called being a plumber. I spoke with five Master Plumbers after getting this insane quote and they literally laughed at the cost. In the end I did it myself. I drained the system down all by myself. This company is a total joke and attempts to take advantage of consumers who don't know what they are looking at. I, on the other hand, am an Engineer and work for a very large company. I have made sure everyone I come in contact with gets an ear-full about how this company attempted to rip me off!

Larry Heimbaugh

not sure this is the correct web site. Larry was at my home 6 hrs. he finally found the problem which could of burned down my home. He was patient and dedicated to finding the problem. although he was here most of the day, he finally was able to pinpoint the problem. Hats off to him as he not only fixed the problem but saved my home. He is a excellent employee that did not give up when trouble shooting was a challenge but fixed it. Thank you for the professional courtesy and the courteous nature of his task at hand. He is a valued employee and deserves to be recognized for his excellent performance in completing his job. Yes this was expensive, but how do you put a price on your families and home. Thank you so much. I can now sleep better knowing that the problem is solved and my home is safe. Flooded bathroom

I called Lowry on a Friday around 5:00 PM.. told them we had a service agreement with them for plumbing.. explained that our toilet was clogged and overflowing.. I would consider this an emergency, wouldn't you? They looked and said they could send a tech on Monday!!!! For an overflowing, clogged toilet!!! We called another place and had someone out within an hour!! This is unacceptable coming from what as they call themselves a reliable, 24 hour emergency based service.. We have been ripped off by them before and this is the last time!!! We had just called them the week before for another matter and they came 2 days later.. What should have been 2 separate services (I had told the person taking the call this) ended up they only sent the one person out!!! That person had to call and have the other tech come out... a waste of a day in my books!!!

Lowry Services Plumbing Service Review

Do not use,made a promise to add a pan under the water heater they installed. Found out later that when they installed the heater it should of had a pan because without it does not meet code in cumru twp. They told my wife it would be free,but when they finally showed up two days later they said it would cost 622.00.Way over priced call another plumber.

Do not ever call Lowry for anything!!!

Called Lowry guy came out put A camera in my line. He said I need A new pipe to the Street in my front yard for $9,000. Called another Co. They cleaned the pipe for $400.said the pipe is fine.What A RIPPOFF Co!!! You call them You will get ******over. Going to call the BBB on them. The guy tried to sell my wife A warranty as soon as she let him in the door. The other Co. I called said they had A lot of complaints about Lowry. They will take your money and run run Dennis.

DO YOU THINK I'M CRAZY ?

AFTER CALLING LOWRY SERVICES FOR AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE ON JULY 18TH, 2013, I DECIDED TO CALL THEIR SERVICE FOR 2 MINOR PLUMBING ISSUES. THE GUY SHOWED UP ON THURSDAY ,AUG. 1ST TO GIVE ME AND ESTIMATE TO, (1) COVER APPROXIMATELY 30'OF 3" P.V.C. PIPE AND ADD 40 LBS. OF WATER NEUTRALIZER TO A WATER TREATMENT TANK. I NEARLY HAD A HEART ATTACK WHEN MIKE QUOTED ME A COST OF $706 TO ADD 1 BAG OF NEUTRALIZING PELLETS. THEN QUOTED ME,ANOTHER $1,583.92 TO COVER THE P.V.C. PIPING FOR A TOTAL OF $2,290.37. IS LOWRY F**KIN CRAZY " I'M FROM N.Y. NOT " *** , PA. ! " *** GO CHARGE SOME *** PENNSYLVANIAN THIS ! *** NOT ME ! *** LOWRY XERVICES IS BUSINESS TO MAKE MONEY, BUT I'M " NOT " GOING TO PAY MORE THAN 3 MONTHS MORTGAGE FOR A FEW HOURS OF EASY WORK! I THOUGHT LOWRY WAS O.K. OBVIOUSLY, I WAS WRONG !IS THERE ANYONE, EVEN IN PA.*** *** ENOUGH *** TO PAY 2,290.37 FOR A FEW HOURS OF WORK ? *** NOT ME ! *** SEE YA, LOWRY, YOUR GREED IS TOO MUCH ! P.S.
