Report racism

Hope you take this complain serious. I am helping reporting horrible experience of my mothers' when she flying with Lot on 28th Aug, 2023. She is a frequent traveler of LOT Airline whose age is 62. When traveling from Incheon to Budapest, she took the 08:15 flight on August 9th, 2023, in a business class seat. On her way returning to Korea, she was on flight LO 2001 at 15:55 on August 28th, 2023, in a premium economy seat. She had a very unpleasant experience from a flight attendant during the flight, which made her uncomfortable and unable to sleep because she is really upset and disappointed. As soon as she got to on board, the unfair treatment by this male flight attendant who is serving the premium economic area was started. 1.Luggage my mother was not able to reach out the component to put her luggage so that she asked help to the male guy and he complained " the luggage should be under 8kg sth.. " I am wondering why my mother should lecture from the steward, and that she already already aware of and went through inspection when she checked in her luggages. on top of that how he so sure that the luggage is over 8kg ? 2.footrest She is aware that everything should be returned to its place upon landing, but the switch of the footrest was tight, and she couldn't push it back with the strength of her fingers and feet (she has finger joint pain and imagine she is 62). However, suddenly, the flight attendant kicked the footrest aggressively by his foot without giving my mother any notice. Moreover he was shaking his head back and forth after he kicked the footrest. We think this is an inappropriate behaviour of the the steward and it's a racism. if my mother was a white old lady, do you think your staff will act the same way he did to asia old women? because i dont think so. if he showed same attitude to the old white woman, you hired absolutely wrong person or you trained wrongly your staff. I take this person attitude as racism and I am looking this case very carefully and seriously how LOT AIRLINE solves this problem. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. sue

Availing Covid traveling law for travel Booking ref: MPHYGZ

BOOKING REFERENCE KCPG72 | Change of Seats

Good morning. The question is as follows. Our travel agent told us that check-in was done automatically by assigning distant seats with our 2 minor children. I wonder how your automatic systems that assign seats (having a single booking of 4 people from the same family) can not take into account the age of the 2 minors ??? Baggage not arrived

our luggage was not found to have arrived from Warsaw airport. We had travelled on 5th Afternoon flight LO 011 arrived at Newark Airport @***.10 pm local time. Our original journey commenced from London via flight LO 282. We jad complained to Lost and Found people at Newark Airport about the luggage missing. Pla do the needful immediately. Flight delay

In past I many times have Business trip by LOT flight without any problems. June 18-2023 I flew from Chicago to Bulgarian plant to make presentation. But unfortunately this Business trip was a complete mess. Copy of my air ticket: June 18-2023 LOT flight Chicago --- Warsaw # LO 4, arrived late to Warsaw. In additional, plane was not served at the Warsaw terminal and the passengers were waiting for the bus on the airfield. Photo: It was only 15 minutes before my next LOT flight # LO 633 to Sofia. Should be 1 hour and 4 minutes. After my arriving in Sofia, my luggage was missing. Since I had no luggage, I could not continue my business trip. I had to wait 24 hours in Sofia for my luggage and pay for the overnight stay at the Sofia hotel. Also from the hotel I must had to come\drive to Sofia airport to pick up my lost luggage. Hotel and taxi receipts: Unfortunately my adventures did not end there. June 23-2023 I has LOT flew back from Sofia to Chicago. I saw my luggage being loaded onto the LOT plane Sofia---Warsaw: BUT: June 23-2023 LOT flight Sofia ---Warsaw # LO 632 arrived late to Warsaw. June 23-2023 LOT flight Warsaw --- Chicago # LO 3 arrived late to Chicago and LOT again lost my luggage. Also, due to a late LOT flight # LO 3 to Chicago, I missed the last bus at 08-45 PM from Chicago O-Hare Airport to Milwaukee WI USA. and was forced to spend one night at the O-Hara Airport Hilton Hotel. Hilton O-Hara Airport receipts: Forced spending: 1--- 136-91 LEV = $ 76-91 usd 2--- 23-01 LEV = $ 12-92 usd 3--- 20-39 LEV = $ 11-45 usd 4--- $ 332-49 usd Total: $ 433-77 Since all the money spent was not my fault, I asking LOT to compensate please expenses and send me a personal check $ 433-77

Warning: My Negative Experience with LOT Airlines - Beware of Fraud and Unpleasant Treatment

Be careful if you decide to travel with LOT, as they are experts in fraud! I booked a ticket from Hungary to India with luggage included, but at the check-in desk, they couldn't find it in their system and made me pay again for another 20 kg. To make matters worse, I am still waiting for a refund since February. The staff were not nice at all and claimed that they were a third party and didn't work for the company. They even threatened not to take my luggage if I didn't pay! And guess what? The same thing happened on the way back from India to Hungary. The staff were rude and dismissive once again, making it clear that they didn't care about the inconvenience and stress that they were causing me. To make things worse, they were weighing every single item I have to make me pay even more. Another incident that happened to my friend: He missed one way flight so they automatically cancelled his return ticket (3000 km ++). He was denied boarding!!! It seems like the only way to travel with LOT is to travel with no luggage and never miss your flight, or else you can forget about everything! It is unacceptable for an airline to treat their customers in such a way and to make them wait for months for a refund that is rightfully theirs.

Descrimination

In the evening of the 6th of February, my parents, sister and baby nephew were flying from Chicago airport to Cairo airport connected at Warsaw airport, when the airline denied them flying, allegedly because they needed a Schengen visa to be able to land on the polish airport, not even staying or getting out of the airport just landing and using the airport to get to the connected flight. My sister has had just given birth with her baby born ( who holds an American passport) while the rest of my family hold an Egyptian one. They tried to argue to at least get their money back to be able to book another flight home And they were denied their money and their flight, despite the fact that they flew from cairo using the same airline and there was no problem whatsoever. Thank god they had enough money to book on the Turkish airlines and they were able to fly back home at the same night, but the psychological and the physical damage is unrepairable. Fast forward to when they reached Cairo we figured that this rule does not even apply to Egyptian, and that this whole act was just pure racism and negligence. Fast forward theyve been sending us emails telling us they will pay the money they stole out of our pockets but we mever received anything. Declaration: they flew on the airlines, and they were on transit without needing a visa and this was their return tickets ! They go their confirmation om their emails . And nothing mentioned anything, they received an email later with an apology saying this was a mistake and money should be returned but no money was returned.

Refund

More than 3 years ago I bought 2 tickets to Delhi. LOT canceled all flights due to covid-19 and they still haven't refund me. I wrote to passengers rights, all EU bodies responsible for law enforcement, court in Warsaw... First they lied that I have never even asked for refund. Then they lied that the case was time-barred, and at the end nobody wanted even to respond to my emails. So, if you don't want to lose your money, NEVER buy plane tickets from Polish Airlines! They owe me 1018 euros for canceled flights. It's some 1100$.

Refusal to re-imburse for overcharge on checked luggage

We have paid over $500 for one checked suitcase each for flights from Toronto to Europe and return last summer. The agent who spoke with us mis-charged us and then didn't enter the confirmed luggage payment properly on the computer. This resulted in the computer system at the Warsaw airport not recognizing that we had already pre-paid $300 ($Cdn) for our luggage. They therefore charged us another 140 Euros so that we could get our luggage on the flight. Our e-ticket showed that we had paid for luggage on both departing and return flights but their claims department refused to refund any money for the 140 Euro overcharge. We then re-submitted a claim to the complaints department who also refused any payment (same person controls both departments).

I have flown LOT Polish Airlines a few times in the past, and generally I have found them to be a reliable provider. Yesterday (Sep 13), I checked in two bags in Houston (IAH) with United Airlines on their flight 1633 to Chicago (ORD). I had booked (on the same reservation) a connecting flight nonstop from ORD to Krakow, Poland on LOT flight 10. Both bags were clearing marked to go from IAH through ORD to KRK. Only one bag arrived at KRK. United has an automated system which, through the United Airlines website (united.com) tracks the bags it handles. The bag that made it through to KRK was shown by United to have been handed off to LOT. The bag that did not make it through to KRK was shown as having received by United does not show arriving in Chicago and being handed off to LOT on the United app. I called United, and United insists that their records show that it was delivered to LOT at ORD. So, I guess the first issue I have is that either United's app is unreliable or United is lying to me. I have no way of knowing, but I can say that the person I dealt with at United was rude and impatient. All she seemed interested in doing is blaming LOT. She had no interest in answer questions as to why the United app was not showing the missing bag as being received in Chicago and delivered to LOT but was showing the delivered bag to have done so. She was completely unhelpful. I reported the missing bag to LOT's baggage handling service at KRK. They could provide no information on when the bag might appear. 1. They provided a telephone number to call for updates. I have called than number 20 times midday on a Wednesday, and no one answers. Lousy service? Yes. 2. The said that I could check online at "World Tracer." It turns out that website is used by the airlines to sort these things out, and members of the public (me) cannot access that data. Misinformation? Yes. 3. I asked what reimbursement would be made for me to purchase the clothing I need for business meetings and to attend a wedding this weekend. The agent at the airport could provide no information. Helpful? Absolutely not. When I got to my hotel, I had been wearing the same clothing for nearly 22 hours. I need fresh clothing. So, I started called LOT. The numbers given for LOT are as useless as a tit on a bull. +48 1* *** **** (Poland) does not answer the phone. (212) 789-**** (USA) is a general information number. The people there are clueless. (773) 894-**** (USA) is LOT's operational office in Chicago. They are open between 6 PM and 10 PM Chicago time. That is 1 AM - 5 AM Polish time. So, to speak with someone in Chicago, where I suspect the bag was mishandled, I need to be up in the middle of the night. THAT IS ABSURD. The other number I was given was (not a typo): 22 577-****. That is not a real phone number. Seriously! I suspect it should have been (212) 577-**** (NYC). When I call that number, it is not in service. So, here I am in Poland in stinky clothing with no one able to tell me whether my suitcase has been located and will be on the next flight to get it to me. I will be in Krakow for two days. Then I drive to Przemsyl, Poland for two days for a wedding. There is no airport there. The closest airport in an hour away. Then I drive back to Krakow for two days. Then I fly to Munich for four days. I need appropriate clothing for various events, and no one is accessible other than one person who said that I can spend up to $100. Well, I need a business suit for business meetings and for the wedding. I need a dress shirt, a tie, and dress shoes. I have a seat at Oktoberfest in Munich next week. I brought with me German attire (lederhosen, etc.) for that. However, that is all in the missing suitcase. So, my guess is that I will have to buy about $1,000 worth of clothing that is fully duplicative of what I had in the missing suitcase. Then, I suspect, I will end up in arbitration or a lawsuit against LOT Polish Airlines. My advice to anyone who reads this is that LOT is not a responsible airline. That lack the people, systems, and service commitment required to handle these problems. There were about five or six people on my flight who had similar issues -- missing baggage. There were probably about 200 people on the flight. So, that is about 3% of passengers having lost baggage. If LOT could tell me that they have the bag and it will arrive tomorrow, I could understand and deal with that. However, being told (1) we have no clue about where your bag is, (2) we do not have a method or people who can find out now, (3) don't worry, it will all get sorted out, (4) you can spend up to $100 to cover your needs (implicitly for 10 days in four cities in Europe), and (5) not having people who answer the phone -- that is just too much. Avoid LOT. They are an irresponsible company. Its now more that 24 hours since my flight from Chicago departed for Krakow without my suitcase with all of my clothing and most of my toiletries for 10 days. It has been 14 hours since I reported the missing bag to LOTs agent at Krakow Airport. I have heard nothing. NOTHING. I had checked two pieces. One piece a carton of medical supplies for Ukraine was carried on my flight. The other piece all of my clothing and most toiletries for the trip didnt make the flight. United did get the bag from Houston to Chicago more than two and a half hours before the LOT flight departed. I also saw both unloaded from the United flight in Chicago, and United scanned both as delivered to LOT. There are only a few possibilities: 1. LOT screwed up and just didnt board the bag to Krakow. A. It may still be in Chicago due to gross incompetence by LOT. B. LOT may have caught the error and put it on the flight to Warsaw. 1. It may be sitting in Warsaw rather than forwarded to its marked destination Krakow more incompetence by LOT. 2. It may have been flown to Warsaw and sent to Krakow where LOT has it but hasnt informed be yes, more incompetence by LOT. 2. LOT screwed up and put it on a LOT flight to Warsaw either the same day or today, in which case, if LOT had ANY concern for decent customer service, they would have informed me of where is it and when to expect it. 3. It may have been stolen from Chicago, Krakow, or Warsaw, in which case LOT should have checked each of those three locations for my large bright orange bag to confirm it is not present. I doubt theyre done that either. The simple point is that almost any scenario you want to describe results in either gross incompetence by LOT or complete lack of concern by LOT employees and management. If the four telephone numbers given to me by LOT, one is out of service, one is for customer reservations not baggage issues, one never answers at all, and only is only staffed between 1 AM and 5 AM Polish time. If I try to send a complaint communication to LOT on the LOT website, their computer doesnt accept it. That can only be gross incompetence. So it is now nearly 1 AM Polish timeC and I am Hoping to get a call from the Chicago operations staff to see what (if anything) they have done or learned. I dont expect much from them, because the management style at LOT doesnt seem to take the customers need into consideration. Thats why I advises to avoid taking LOT. They show no interest in resolving lost baggage issues timely or keeping their customer informed. I have silent about $400 to provide underwear, socks, slacks, tee shirts, one pair of sneakers, one pair of business shoes, and a waterproof jacket. If I dont have a firm commitment to have the missing suitcase in hand Friday morning at Krakow, I will need to buy a suit dir a Saturday wedding. By the time this spate of incompetence is complete, I will be flying home from Munich with the bag being sent there separately from me. Thats a level of incompetence that should make heads roll at LOT. That wont happen because, I am convinced that LOTs senior management doesnt care about getting baggage to its destination at all. New update: I called LOTs Chicago operations office at 12:30 AM Polish time (5;30 PM Chicago time) and got a recorded message saying that they are open 6-10 PM. I specifically asked for a call to my US phone number even if it woke me up. The recorded message promised returning calls at their earliest convenient. That call was not returned. Apparently, it was INconvenient to return a call for their entire shift. This is hard evidence that LOT doesnt give a damn about returning a customer call. If an airline doesnt give a damn and wont return a call, they dont deserve my business.
