CONTACTED THE COMPANY THEY SCHEDULED A APPOINTMENT NEVER SHOWED. THEY KEEP GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND. NEXT MOVE IS ATTORNEY GENERAL AND THE NEWS MEDIA. BUYER BEWARE WORST COMPANY EVER. TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE ELDERLY THAT HAVE MEDICAL ISSUES IS A DISGRACE, BUT WANT PAYMENTS EACH MONTH.

Excessive Phone Calls

Somehow theses sleaze bags got my phone number and have called me a dozen times in the last 3 days, even after I requested from one of their monkeys to quit calling.

Did not live up to promise.

The Contractor scheduled installation three times, was a no show three times. Finally, Long Roof called and gave us another date. A different contractor was able to come on a Saturday for the roof and gutter on Monday. It was completed on that Monday, only because we insisted someone from Long Roofing come to inspect the roof. The Long Roof Rep had to call the contractor back to complete the roof installation. The gutters also had to be corrected and downspout fixed. This particular sub-contractor depends on no post inspection. The free gutters are a joke, you can find the right size gutters at Home Depot. There are some contractors in Home Depot's parking lot who are probably better installers.

Let’s start a class action suit

Like everyone else I’m being screwed by Long Fence of Maryland. Made the mistake of using them to replace my roof and now my roof is ruined bc the gutters were installed incorrectly by day laborers, I have extensive property damage, rotted fascia that wasn’t replaced, and since the can’t put a lien on my home they voided my loan after work was “completed” poorly and are now trying to sue me for the full amount due and my roof looks awful. Sounds like they do this a lot. Anyone that has fought long in court especially in Maryland please contact me with your lawyers info so I can look into starting a class action suit.

Awful Service

Never never never do business with this company. I had gutter covers put on about 7 years ago. The workmanship was awful. At that time I told them of the issue and they said they would send out someone on a service call. It never happened. They did however continue to call me for more business. I told them I was having issues with their last job. A service person promised to call...never happened. Finally a service person showed up last year to evaluate the situation. A service order was submitted (56502) and I was told I would be contacted...never happened. I recently got another sales call and told them of the issues with the prior job. They promised to set up an appointment. After a few weeks I got a call and set up an appointment. Well they missed the appointment. I have been sitting hear all day waiting. I called them and they said that maybe in another couple of hours the service man would be there. I told them to cancel today and have the owner call me. Long fence has no idea what service is. Their work is under warranty, which they do not honor. This company is one of the worse companies I have done business with. Do not use Long Fence for anything. They do not provide the service they promise.

Exhaust pipes

April 2017 contacted Long Fence regarding a new roof installed, contracted with the service representative and roof was installed on April 30 2017,.....afterwards I noticed the exhaust pipes had not been painted, new roof looks great! Pipes not looking good,.....called the office in May to inform them, I was asked to contact my salesman,....I have sent text messages, placed numerous phone calls to the salesman and the office, it is now November and still no response,.....installers did a wonderful job, the company is deficient in customer service,....I would not recommend using this company to anyone, once you have paid in full, they tend to ignore your request or concerns, I am totally out done with them, hopefully my roof will not fail.

Long Roofing Bait & Switch

The lack of professionalism, communication and customer service from several of their employees is very disappointing. Although everything was completed with the correct materials in the end, the process to get to that point was very taxing. We met Senior Production Specialist Tom Myers on Tuesday, Sept. 12 and he thoroughly explained the different types of materials that were available for each layer that would be used for my roof. There was only 1 type of air vent in his presentation. Tom also stated someone had to be home at the time of installation to ensure we would see the correct materials were being used on each layer. Well, that did not happen. On Sat. Sept. 23rd during the installation none of the layers were shown to us, my father was outside and saw the air vents that were being used and knew immediately that was not what we were shown in our presentation from Tom the week before. I called Tom and left a message, allowing for the weekend hours not being in his “normal business hours”. I then called the same number used to set the appointment. I spoke with Tawanna and explained we have an issue with the materials being installed on my house today and she said she was transferring me, I asked where was I being transferred to and she said Customer Service. Yanni’s voicemail eventually picked up and I left a message. I also texted and emailed Tom. After an hour of no response, I called back and John answered. I asked to speak with Tawanna, he said she was on another call and that he could help me. I explained that I was still waiting to hear back from Yanni after I left a message an hour ago and we have stopped the guys from installing until we can get this issue resolved. John tells me Customer Service isn’t open on Saturday! Why didn't Tawanna tell me that the first time I spoke with her?? I asked John was there anyone I could speak with today to get this resolved because the 2 contractors were waiting on an answer. John gave me Yanni’s cell phone number. I left a message on Yanni’s cell phone. I also asked my Dad to see if the lead contractor was able to reach someone through his POC. Ben Canoles called and introduced himself as the person the contractor contacted and asked what was the issue we were having. I explained the different materials that were being used is of lesser quality than the air vents we saw in the presentation. Ben said he would have to check into it and give us a call back in a few minutes. Ben called back and said “We no longer use the other product due to service issues”. My 1st question was why didn’t you know that when you called a few minutes ago and how recent was the change made because obviously Tom isn’t aware of the change. Ben said the product we saw in the presentation is no longer available from the vendor. I asked how recent was the change made and he said he wasn’t sure. Ben also said CertainTeed no longer guarantees the old materials. While talking with Ben, Yanni called back. I called Yanni on my cell and told him we were on the other line with Ben and if we could call him back in a few minutes. Yanni said yes, sure. Ben was being rather combative and trying to convince us that this is the best product available and he couldn’t get the 1st product even if we wanted it. We asked Ben which was the truth once he changed his story saying he could get the 1st product but couldn’t guarantee the longevity once it’s been installed. Ben then offers to call CertainTeed and they would guarantee both products, whichever we preferred. Ben clicked over to place the call but someone was already on the line when Ben added us back in the conference call so we didn’t know who we were speaking to until I asked for his name and phone number. Jeff guaranteed either product we preferred and said there were no service issues with the 1st product but couldn’t have the correct materials until Monday. We asked if we could call back once we called Yanni back and they said yes. We called Yanni back and again explained the situation and let him know installation was still on hold. Yanni said he wasn’t aware of any service issues with the air vents but wanted us to have whatever would make us happy. Today is Oct. 18th, I still have not heard anything from Tom Myers! I was hoping he would, if nothing else, call to see what actually happened and help make this a little easier to swallow. Other than his reply to my email on Sept. 23rd saying "I have alerted production of your concern. I will follow up with them on Monday." Tom gave us the impression he would be with us before, during and after installation of the roof by stating this was my house but that's his roof. Customer service is so rare these days, but I thought Tom was sincere in his promises. We're very disappointed in Tom and the bait and switch of the air vents, but glad through the assistance of other people like Yanni, and our on-site contractors I’m thankful the job was finally completed. I would also like to add that I attempted to put my complaint on their website but of course that requires approval prior to it being displayed, which I understand they want to monitor and only have positive reviews posted. I contacted the Beltsville location earlier today to get an email address to send this letter and once I was transferred to Client Services, a new hire named Danielle answered the phone and sounded like she was half sleep or a weird moaning sound when she picked up the call, was placed on hold to determine which email to give me. Danielle said her manager Bob and she didn't know his last name could help me. Bob Goodman was very helpful and gave me both of the email address on this email. You never know who will be able to help you in situations like this and John, Yanni, Bob and the 2 onsite contractors were our only source of customer service throughout the whole ordeal. I expected better trained, professional employees for a company that's been in business as long as they have! I will NEVER recommend them to anyone, if this is how you treat your customers, why would I? After sending this email there was no reply, I sent a follow up email a week later for the President to say, he was too disappointed to reply??? After several phone calls and emails, the only thing they could offer is a $100 giftcard - blank stare.

EXCELLENT SERVICE AND PRODUCTS

My old roof layers were removed, and the rotted boards replaced on my very large, steep and sloping roof. customer service was very friendly. The workers were very professional and for the first time in my life I did not get headaches as with the other huge discount advertised places. Trust and peace of mind is an understatement and I will be doing business with them in the future for windows and siding. The workers were prompt , and they cleaned up very well. There were no nails or debris left. I highly recommend this business. A migraine free business is priceless in my opinion. TRUST AND PEACE OF MIND FOR SURE.
