Poor customer relations

Did not want anything-some dud called me and started his sale pitch,I did cut him off to tell him to put me on a no call list.He laughed at me and said I did not use the polite word-please.I then asked to speak to his manager-he said no problem.Put me on hold,lifted phone to see if I was still there,hold some more,picked up phone and hung up.Check reviews DO NOT USE LOAN DEPOT

Attempted Foreclosure and still out the fees

I have not attached the bills as it has personal info on it. I called Loan Depot 10 days after my mother was killed to notify them of her passing. 1.11.22 Karen M Friedstrom was murdered. (Death certificate has been sent 3 times) 2.1.22 I called 866.258.6572 to find out about getting a bill for current status of the account. I was told January was paid and that a bill for 1048.98 would be sent due 2.1.22. I also informed the lady (name not recorded) that Karen had passed and that I had an appointment with a lawyer to help me proceed with probate on 2.22.22. I was told to call back when I had the death certificate and appropriate paperwork to proceed. I did not receive a February Bill. End of February 2022 we found out the post office had decided to put a hold on Karens mail and had started returning it. At that time I tried to get the mail forwarded but was told that I had to have the legal letter signed by the judge to get the mail forwarded. Once I received this in May 2022, I immediately got the mail forwarded. 4.29 Called Channi and Faxed Papers, requesting new bill. No response 5.10 I received the letter dated 5.9 (attached 2 docs) I reached out to Loan Depot and was sent to Channi who sent me information for the SII. It was returned that day to Channi see emails. I was told they were working on it and waited to receive bill. 5.31 I reached out to Channi again via email stating I have not had a bill yet. No response. I emailed twice. 6.1 I called Loan Depot again and said I had not received a bill and was requesting a bill as I had the funds to pay off all of the past due balance. I was told they could not give me the information or the amount as the paperwork for Confirmation of Successor in Interest was pending but all the information I had sent was there and it was a process. 6.2 I called again because I received a letter that had been forwarded from Karens address dated 3.16. The letter was from a Renada who I did try and call but got Letitia instead. Letitia told me that a Joshua n was handling my account and had called. This was not true, I went through my call logs and have had zero communication, nor attempt of communication from this man. I explained that I had gotten the letter, that I had called the day before and was awaiting the Confirmation of Successor paperwork. I was then told that there as no record of me submitting any paperwork. I am unclear as how the day before the paperwork was there the next day completely wiped from the system. I forwarded all of the paperwork to Letitia again . She submitted additional paperwork which I filled out and then promptly went to postoffice and overnighted the paperwork. (See attached emails) 6.3 I was at Karens House cleaning and found this laying on the front porch. (see attached) I was going to chuck it as it looked to be some loose flier with no identifying name and just a number. This looked to be some attempt at a scam, but my sister wisely advised me to google the number. The number was for Loan Depot. I immediately and called to again attempt to get a bill. I will say this was not my finest moment, I was incredibly upset and feel like all my attempts have been for naught and I am being toyed around with. I am not trying to be dishonest or not pay, I have been extremely clear on that matter. I was told they could not talk to me because I was not on the paperwork. 6.10 I received the Confirmation of Successor paperwork,(see attached) which I forwarded to my attorney before signing as I wanted to make sure it was not anything weird. 6.14 I signed and returned letter for the Confirmation of Successor of Interest. The original was sent to 2550 Commercentre Drive address listed on paperwork. 6.27 I received a bill (see attached) I called Loan Depot and told them that I wanted to contest the late fee as I had been attempting to get a bill from the beginning and had been in communication about the status of the account. I was told I had a handler and to call Macalla I called and left a message. No call back, 6.28 I mailed check #1006 for $5212.65 subtracting the late fee and attaching note to the check explaining why I wanted to contest the late fee. (See attached with the tracking, check stub and letter). I did this because I am tired of the macabre game with Loan Depot and since at that time I had not received a call back. I then called again the number provided for Macalla. I then received a call from Kenda who I tried to explain I had mailed payment, there was some confusion which I can surmise now that I know this is a CA Foreclosure service. I forwarded again and signed the successor paperwork to Kenda which I believe has been sent to you. The tracking for the check is USPS 9505 51** **82 2179 **** 48 7.1 The check #1006 for $5212.65 was delivered to the PO Box per the envelope from Loan Depot. (see attached) I am baffled by all of this I want someone to please explain to me how we got this far. What the reinstatement fee is, why there is zero and I mean zero attempts from Loan Depot or your company to help get this settled. 7.8 Email sent to Dulce asking for followup on the 5-7 business days to get the reinstatement information. The Original email was sent from Dulce 6.29. (see attached) 7.11 The check has not been cashed nor has there been any attempt to resolve the issue with me via email, mail or phone call. Received email back saying the reinstatement letter would be available 7.11 or 12. Was notified of short pay for invisible billing with fees that I have never received from late fees, July payment, attorney fees and cost. -DULCE 7.12 Check #1006 for $5212.65 was cashed 7.13 Sent email request for the information Dulce noted on 7.11 email. 7.14 Received email from Dulce stating reinstatement had been given but was awaiting sign off on paperwork by a supervisor for fees and July bill. 7.14 Filed BBB complaint as I am tired of working with this company and still do not have a bill. 7.15 Went ahead and sent check for $1038.98 #176 USPS Tracking 9405 50** **30 0297 **** 36 7.18 Cindy 949.707.9405 M-F 8-5 EST, cindyfernandez@***.com, is investigating the BBB complaint. She said she was going to investigate and should get back to me tomorrow. At 3:00pm received reinstatement letter for loan depot and the attorney they hired for $2258.32. $1048.98 is for the actual loan which was paid -10 per the one bill I have received. I forwarded this to Cindy 7.19 Cindy emailed me and said she would look into. 7.22 Cindy emailed with a note saying 3-5 business days. Check cashed by loan depot 7.25 received letter from loan depot about escalated concerns Received a home warranty letter from loan depot- where it is listing my home address as the warranty expiration and Loan Depot as the loaner to my house. Called and told them the information is incorrect. 7.26 Sent 2 emails to Dulce asking for breakdown of fees. Documentation of foreclosure etc, no response. 7.27 Called the MRLP on the Reinstatement quote to get correct amount. No answer, left voice mail. Sent check #177 for $2528.32 fedex 276063****16 for delivery 7.28 10:00am. I also emailed Dulce and Cindy asking for documentation, breakdown of fees and such. The reinstatement quote shows it is only good through 7.29 which the time frames given I do not believe the account will be handled in time to stop mysterious foreclosure with no paperwork. Cindy did call and after a lengthy discussion found out the loan was no longer in foreclosure dating back to the 22nd. I had emailed Cindy a copy of the reinstatement quote not once did she reach out and say do not pay you are no longer in foreclosure. That being said asked for the documentation of going to foreclosure, the reinstatement, breakdown of account etc. 7.29 Received letter not signed from loan depot. Letter on one hand said it was attempting to collect debt but then on the other that balance was paid. This letter was mailed 7.19- at no time from that time to 7.27 was I told or sent paperwork loan was in good standing. I emailed Cindy about letter ad it sounds to me like this is how they are resolving it and Cindy pushed the successor stuff though. That being said I was told 6.3 the Successor paperwork was approved. So why 6 wks later was the letter finally sent. Also it says nothing about successor on there other then a c/o of Emily Heisler. Paid the reinstatement but according to the letter account was in good standing. Why for another 8 days did no one say not to send the reinstatement fee? 8/2 Received bill for $3275.80 dated 7.18 with Corporate ATTY cost of $495. Talked to Ariana and she emailed a correct bill of $1038.23 8/3 Received another bill for $2336.82 with corporate ATTY Fees of $100 dated 7/21 8/3 Received an email from Cindy stating the breakdown of the bill. They are also authorizing a refund of $1298.59 to be refunded for August and $260.36 to go to September. I did not accept this. The fees of the Lenders Breakdown were $144.34, the fee for the trustee fees were $1335.00 totaling $1479.34. I was also not provided with the documentation of the foreclosures, attempts for payment and past bills. I have heard nothing since. 8.5 I reached out to BBB talked chat with Giselle asking about what to do next, she said that Loan Depot has asked for extension until 8.8. At no time did Loan Depot talk to me about it. 8.8 Nothing from Loan Depot 8.11 sent email to BBB about status of complaint-unresolved 8.15-29 received emails from JoQuitta who sent over some of the paperwork I requested but still no letter for foreclosure notifications. She also sent a check of $1299.34 which I returned as the amount due back was incorrect and asked for the correct amount to be sent. Never received as of 1.12.23 9.8 BBB contacted me with a letter about the foreclosure that just happened to show up after months of asking for it. I believe this was a backdated falsified document to cover their negligence. Why would it take all these months to get and why all the sudden was it sent to BBB not me. 11.29 BBB closed complaint, I have filed a complaint with BBB for the man who handled my account who not once reached out to discuss. They took Loan Depots word and just marked it done. I have reached out twice to Mr. Moreno at BBB asking for help to get the money they took from me and he does not respond. 9.28 the house sold and Loan Depot was paid in full. No refund for the amount due back to me. No continued attempts from Loan Depot to refund the foreclosure cost.

Foreclosure on house when I made every attempt to get a bill from them

UNWANTED CALLS

Got 2 phone calls this AM asking for me and wanting to convince me to get a mortgage. NEVER asked for ANY information from this company for this purpose, and since I and on a DO NOT CALL LIST, they're violating my privacy!!!

To contact loan associate to keep me off the mailing list!

They were wanting me to pay 14,000 dollars for an fixed rate at 5.87 was not a agreed amount nor was it even a good fair offer declined and was hit with hard credit inquiry and paid 23.00 for terrible loan offer. Want off their mailing list as we have received funds from another bank with agreeable terms.

HORRIBLE FROM BEGINNING

We have been trying to do a loan modification since last November- to date nothing has been resolved. My husband I have sent documents they need multiple times, and we get the response "got your documents .Two days later we get a notice stating our loan is in default and there are options to call The next day we get a notice saying we are missing items for review yet we sent them over a week prior. We have been hung up on, promised a call back, ask for a specific person - because they say " ill help you", this includes a so called supervisor. They have ruined our credit, our escrow account by paying homeowners almost 2 months early leaving the escrow account negative, broken promises, don't return phone calls, etc The lack of knowledge, customer service is the absolute worst. It has been a complete nightmare from day 1- and just to remind you after this has been going on since November almost 6 1/2 months. My advice- STAY AWAYI UPDATE AS OF 5/21/22 NOTHING HAS BEEN RESOLVED YET FROM LOAN DEPOT- HUSBAND CALLED AND THEY SAID IN ORDER TO DO A LOAN MODIFICATION YOU NEED TO BE 3 MONTHS BEHIND!! A BUNCH OF CRAP- YET AFTER ALL THIS TIME NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON INCLUDING MANAGERS AND "SUPERVISORS" HAVE TOLD US THIS. THE PAPERWORK WE HAVE FILLED OUT SAYS IN ORDER TO HAVE A LOAN MODIFICATION YOUR "HARDSHIP" HAS TO BE RESOLVED- THEY ARE COMPLETELY LACKING KNOWLEDGE. THEY ALSO PAID OUR HOME OWNERS INSURANCE ALMOST 3 MONTHS EARLY NOW RESULTING IN NEGATIVE ESCROW ACCOUNT. NOT TO MENTION LETTER AFTER LETTER FROM THEM SAYING TO APPLY FOR THIS STUPID LOAN MODIFICATION, THEN WE GET A NOTICE SAYING ALL CAUGHT UP NEXT DAY ANOTHER LETTER- WE ARE IN DEFUALT AND CAN HELP- WITH THE SAME BS PAPERWORK. NO ONE RETURNS CALLS, EVEN THE SO CALLED 'SUPERVISOR" GERMAINE. OUR "ADVOCATE" LATOYA BENJAMIN HAS DONE ABSOULTELY NOTHING TO HELP. SHE NEVER RETURNS EMAILS OR PHONE CALLS EITHER. WE ARE FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE CFPB. NOT TO MENTION WE HAVE DOCUMENTATION FROM LAST NOVEMBER WHEN WE STARTED THIS NIGHTMARE.

Horrible Customer Service

We've had our loan for approx. 2 years now, everything was fine until we received a new mortgage payment which was double our original payment. Loan Depot paid out over $12k by mistake on the escrow account, and we had to cover the monies. 4 months of phone calls, numerous promises that they would take care of it, and today we find out they're still investigating what happened. When you call, you get a new person every time, you have to explain everything all over again. They acknowledge it was their mistake, but can't figure out why it happened or how. Some idiots hit the wrong button on their computer, they sent out checks for "Condo HOA" when we live on a farm in the country. We've paid $$$$ over our actually payment because of their mistake, because you can't "short" the mortgage payment, or you're in default. We did nothing wrong, yet we have to keep paying the inflated payments. They make up answers on the phone, which you will find to be false later, promise checks will be sent which are not, promise to call back, and they don't. Look elsewhere for a decent mortgage company and save yourself the headaches.

Stay away from Loan Depot is you are buying a home and are searching for a mortgage company. They give you a great interest rate upfront, but they have the worse customer service.

My loan is being serviced by their Ewing, NJ servicing center, and they made an error last year by duplicating the payment on my property taxes, raised my mortgage payment this year, 2022, to cover up their mistake. I've made numerous attempts to get this corrected, but I've received nothing but a "run around" and excuse after excuse as to why this isn't being corrected. Run as far away from Loan Depot as you can, if you are looking for a mortgage, you will be sorry if you don't.

Poor Service

Very chaotic, disorganized closing process requiring duplication of mailed documents, over charges and delayed refunds. Unable to access customer online portal to make payments and keep track of account. Loan reassigned to various Loan Depot servicers causing disruptions in the payment process,I do no including a cashed check which was not applied to the mortgage.

I was receiving unsolicited home depot calls left on my message machine up to 5 a day

This is not a compliant my questions were handled by Jenifer in your Customer Service department; She did a great job in answering my questions and putting my mind to rest regarding a possible scam

They are liars and they don’t help

Since November 2021 I have been calling to fix the escrow problem, but they told me to call on December 7 I called, and they had not fixed anything, I was waiting a month and in the end when it was fixed I always had to overpay they do not know what they're doing, and they did not want to help me and I have always been paying on time it is not my fault that they took so long to make a report and that in the end they did not do the calculations well. Also, one time one of the customer service promise me that the next day someone will call me back, but they never did.

EVERYTHING about loandepot is my worst nightmare

Here is the list: - I have excellent credit and it took me 3months to close the loan. - No one gets back to you. - It takes hours and multiple calls to get someone on the phone - They are threatening to buy flood insurance even though I have sent them my coverage - They are such a nuisance in every way i am thinking of refinancing just to get away from them as their customer service sucks - They have this annoying phone prompts that make you isten to many many messages before allowing you to move forward to a call. - RUN FROM THIS COMPANY

Complaint

Hi, I am very disappointed in the service my clients are receiving. Their file is NOT getting the attention it needs because of the loan amount and to be frank its definitely due to their race. They received a conditional approval and then the lender had them jump from hoop to hoop to appease every condition. They even had to sell their car because he was off on their closing cost. They had to pre pay for their insurance the entire year, getting one document after the next. Their response for the denial: income and taxes. The loan officer said the Amended tax returns don't match the IRS transcripts or the original sent to the IRS, but nothing specific besides schedule C. I need a call from a higher level manager that can actually explain the issue in detail besides too many red flags on the file. I need details or something in writing the lender said the appraisal would be $700 then they charged their card $900. I feel like we need a better explanation to why the loan is going to be denied and then loan depot should refund the customer the appraisal because of all of their mistakes along the way; if they would've done their job correctly we wouldn't be in this mess and they would've never written an offer. This is not only their reputation but mine. If this isn't handled properly I will never take an offer from Loan Depot and I will never work with Loan Depot again regardless of who the loan officer is. I have other clients who are currently working with Loan Depot I will move them elsewhere if this is how things are handled. I will also let every agent I know how they screwed over 3 hardworking individuals.

Haven’t received any money for loan

Closed on 29 December loan Disbursement was for 4 January have not received anything yet and its 5 January no call back from Loan Senior Account specialist Im not happy

Harassment by phone

I have blocked their calls dozens of times and they keep calling using a wide variety of numbers. They relentlessly call all hours of the day and night and wont go away. I will not do business with them. Pure harassment.

Adverse Action Notice Improperly and Deceptively Filed

I explained why I wanted to refinance my home loan to the loan officer and made the erroneous assumption that he understood. Unfortunately, Loan Depot back-loaded fees that were never explained to me which, in essence, increased the cost of my mortgage by over $10,000.00. The reduction in my monthly payment was minimal (and that was his selling point) but it would take over 5 years to pay down my loan to where it was before I began the refinancing process. That together with steep closing costs sent up a red flag. This was a win-win situation for Loan Depot but not very beneficial to me. The day before closing, I cancelled the refinancing and walked away from the deal. Three weeks later I received a letter informing me that an Adverse Action Notice, which they say was required by law, had been filed. They said that under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) lenders are required to let you, the applicant, know why they've taken the notice against you. And why they were unable to offer a mortgage loan to you because of information contained in a consumer report. And that they are required to describe the principal reason for Credit Denial. What the letter does not say is that there was no credit denial, and that it was the applicant who terminated the refinancing process (which was my right to do) prior to closing. The letter was issued in bad faith and should not have been filed because there was no information contained in any consumer reports that could be used to deny credit. Loan Depot had nothing to do with the termination of the refinancing process. The principal reason for terminating the refinancing process was listed as CREDIT APPLICATION INCOMPLETE, which unto itself was correct. Loan Depot filed a notice against me because I cancelled the refinancing process, not because of any credit issues. The letter is misleading by design and is a wake-up call; it uses terms like credit denial. as noted above; there was no credit denial. So, be forewarned, if you terminate the refinancing process for any reason at any time before closing, Loan Depot will attempt to adversely affect your credit which they say the law requires them to do. BUYER BEWARE, Loan Depot is using questionable business practices to adversely and improperly affect a customers credit. Use common sense and go elsewhere.
