Cancel subscription

I did a 100 rs pay me on 28th June 2022 as one time payment for download my resume but since the 399 is getting deducted. Latest one is on 1st Feb 2023. It was not at all clear that it will be monthly subscription initially. Really frustrating. I want to cancel my subscription and account. Account no - 36117****

Live career ünauthorized""debits

Normal story. A free resume that I ended up paying for to download which I was fully prepared to do because it looked good. The resulting two much higher debits on my account were a surprise especially after realizing/being told that I ägreed'" somewhere in the fine print to become a monthly member. Shame on you guys - You are legal but some would say con-artists.

Subscription and Debit Card Issue

Such a Scam Business. I cancelled my subscription several times, but the system does not stop billing me and continues to do so. They charged me for the first time on November 5, 2022. When I told them there was a technical problem, they refused to accept it and assured me that I would not be charged again. They have now charged me again on November 8, 2022. After conducting some investigation, I discovered that this firm is also defrauding other clients. Whoever is reading this review, believe me, you will be disappointed with their service. There is no customer service. They will not accept their fault. Stay away from this company.

I didn't know I was registered and paying every month

I never wanted to subscribe and never received any monthly subscription renewal emails. I paid 2.95 Euros to download the CV and, without my request, I made a monthly subscription. For 5 months I paid 22 euros without noticing. All serious businesses send emails confirming monthly subscription payments, Livecareer never did. They work cheating on people.

I was charged for months and received nothing

I signed up for an initial trial of $1.95. Now, $166.00 later, I have never received anything from them. It is a scam and there was no help at all for either a resume or a cover letter. Ridiculous. The customer service rep tried to sell to me again despite the fact I never had anything from them since the original payment.

Scammer hacks

My wife and I now have a subscription to my resume that we discovered half a year later that we've been paying $25 a month for. Nice scam you guys thought up. I am a real person leaving this review, the ones who leave the positive reviews are likely robots that work for live career.

Since when does “free” mean the same as “$71.40?”

Website advertising “free resume templates” caught my eye, as I am currently job-seeking and dislike resume building. Spent well over an hour entering and refining data - I will say I loved the feature that automatically offered bulletpoint options based on the job title. Finally reached the ‘finalize’ stage, only to discover that the ONLY way to actually finalize said resume was by paying $2.95. It's not an unreasonable amount - BUT IT’S FALSE ADVERTISING!!! Not only did they not deliver in the FREE resume, they wasted more than 60 minutes of my valuable time, and then tried to tell me what a great deal I would be getting. IT’S NOT A GREAT DEAL WHEN YOU REFUSE TO DELIVER WHAT YOU PROMISED! Don’t waste your time - there are other sites where the definition of “free” hasn’t been twisted into synonyms of “scam”, “fraud” and the like.

$1.95 -> $39.80/month for YEARS

You chose the wrong lawyer to scam. Apparently my step daughter was lured in by your "free" resume builder, which (judging by other comments on here) ended with a request for a $1.95 trial charge, which then automatically turned into a recurring $39.80/month charge. That charge has been arriving for years now on my credit card though my step daughter hasn't been on the site since 2015 during the trial period. You may think some boilerplate language in your website will save you, but my step daughter was a minor at the time. Moreover, on the phone you attempted to get me to continue the subscription for a third of the price, which shows this is part of a corrupt business model intentionally designed to defraud people. Lastly, these charges have continued to arrive, though my credit card number has changed at least once if not twice since then. You refused to refund anything other than the last month when I got off the phone a moment ago. It's a decision you will regret as this is a class action situation - my step daughter is not the only minor who you tricked with your "free" resume builder con.

LiveCareer.com Trial Cancellation Wont Cancel - Rebilling, Misrepresentation, Deception, Dark Practices, Rebilling, Agressive Sales, CRFA Violations

Unfortunate: LiveCareer.com (Bold LLC) uses ROSCA-like violations of deceptive dark-click and anti-cancellation misrepresentation. A 1-week $2.95 trial requires 2-Part Cancellation (shady, Congress soon passing bill ruling 2-Part Cancellation illegal), to consumer account Appears cancelled, yet requires 2nd Separate Action to fully cancel. Then, the real deception starts: Consumer attempted cancel is added to "Hush List", receiving no communication from LiveCareer/Bold LLC whence the $24.95 monthly charge quietly begins leeching money from consumer. Anyone else affected, begin a Small Claims Case, Bold LLC will require traveling a Lawyer (as an incorporated company, most states require Attorney representation) to your area. Great payback for their purposeful and designed deception - consumers leeched money will easily be more costly for their staffed Attorney, legal fees, travel costs, etc. Most local courts love to smash a company using deceptive practices. #livecareercomIllegallyBillsCancelledAccounts #standardPractice #boldLLCillegalyBillsCancelledAccounts #astroturfingcorporatedeceptionstandard

Cancled my service.... still getting charged

I paid for a " Free Resume " then was offered a $19.95 cover letter, which I never received, just a template, which I could have found all day for free on the internet, but I thought the professional cover letter could serve me better. I was charged $ 19.95, and am still being charged $19.95 monthly. All attempts to cancel are to no avail. I guess either change my debt. account, or keep paying them forever for something I don't need. Advice - Don't use this company without using pay pal who will help you with cancelation.

Worst experience ever in mylife

I build my resume using their website for 2 days, paid 1+1.95$ for the 14 days trail version. Then they charged me 25$ after 2 weeks, so called them to cancel my account and get my money back. Seriously, why would anyone pay 25$ to build resume??? The customer service rep was polite and promised that he will cancel and refund my money, which he never did. So I called my bank in a week and disputed the charge. Looks like some legal team from Live career fought back with my bank and blocked the dispute. If I was considered a valued customer I would have been notified thru an email at least. Rather than trying to solve the problem Live carrier has made effort to block/change my review by reaching the review site and mentioned its 'defamatory' and has added the below information as well which is directly conflicting what their customer service representative mentioned. "Also when we request your credit card information, we clearly explain that unless you self cancel or request a cancellation before the 14-day trial expires, you authorize us to charge your account every four weeks at the current rate of the subscription." Am taking time and effort to share my experience and let others be cautious about the same.
