Needed Technical Support

I was trying to pair a remote with the opener and totally messed things up. I called technical support and had a very helpful and extremely patient young man help me. He was able to talk me through the process, fix what I had done wrong and everything works great.

Internet connectivity

My lift master would not connect to internet using the myQ app. The first person I talked to told me to go to my internet provider and router companys. I spent three frustrating days and installed various routers. Finally I called liftmaster back and got a very helpful support lady who bypassed the app and got me connected. My garage door is working fine.

Can't delete a hub

I moved from Kansas City to Georgia and I had a Liftmaster in Kansas City and so I had to add my GA Liftmaster as a new device so I could use the app. I didnt realize I should do that. I kept trying to attach it to the old network which of course that didnt work. I found out I had to delete the hub and I kept trying to delete the hub by swiping right and it turns out you have to swipe left, but it took me a couple days to get a hold of LiftMaster and I had to get a supervisor to help me, but finally I swiped left and I could delete the hub, but the garage I was working because I could add the new device. It just took a service tech from the company that I bought it from to come out and get it hooked up, but he couldnt delete the hub either. You just cant delete a device unless you delete the hub.

Question about downward force adjustment on 1245LMCR

The phone queue was very short, a rarity these days. The Customer Support Representative who answered my call seemed quite knowledgeable about the product in question.

Customer support does not have any true knowledge on products.

Light does not come on with sensor tripped on door. Customer service is useless, unable to get anyone in the US that has knowledge.

Reset my garage door opener

My power went out. I had to reset all opener. Some were harder than others, namely my Liftmaster garage door opener. I was assisted by two customer service persons (can't recall names). Both were very professional and were patient with me. Records probably should show who they are. Bottom line - I was talked through the process, and I was able to reset my opener and I learned more about the opener, which was great. The part that forced me to call back was the opener was reset completely, which meant the garage door had to be reset - prompted a recall. There is no way I could blame the first lady that helped me reset and remember to reset the door. It was resetting the garage door to the resetting opener. The call back was very prompt, the male quickly recognized the issue. Well done team and thanks again.

LiftMaster Solar Gate Opener

I cannot get support from ANYONE on a product I bought through one of your online distributors. This is pathetic!!! I paid nearly $3,000 for all the gate opener, solar and crap that goes with it - BUT I CANNot get installation support from your dealer for the past 18 months. This pile of junk is sitting in my living room!!! I called a Local company - Affordable Gates in Bell, CA and their tech support guy was kind to give me a little assistance but their did not sell it to me therefore they are reluctant to get too involved as it will cost them time and money. Before I post this social media wide I want a resolution from you, the manufacturer to direct me to a qualified, appointed distributor who can assit me with installation!!

Program a remote

I was out on hold for ever , I was repeatedly told 5 minutes, and it went on for 30 minutes. I then took the option for a callback, which till this day has not happened!!! This is not service this is ignoring a customer service request

Open door w/ iPhone cannot be done on my system as is my neighbors. Called for help advised may need boost to eero router to connect to.Wi-Fi and program it correctly. Pls sentence rep to get it funct

It will mot connect to wifi and doesnt work all my neighbors have same of course easy set up and operational.

LiftMaster 8500

Stay away from these openers unless you dont mind spending lots of money maintaining them and replacing parts. Ive experienced multiple mechanical failures, multiple controls failures. I have two of these openers and I kid you not something fails on them at least once a year. Both of my openers are currently not working. Ive had them since 2016. I tried working with customer support today on my issues and they are no help on recognizing issues I am experiencing with my doors but they are sure happy to sell me more replacement parts. My latest issue is the door just automatically opened out of no where the other night (phantom opening). I shut it and it did it again about 30 minutes later. Now, none of the controls no longer work on it. Talk about a major safety issue! How would you like your door to open to the world at night or when no one is even around. Apparently, this is a recognized issue on their newer models but they will have nothing to do with mine now that I am out more than 5 years on my warranty period. This is a safety issue they should have the responsibility to make right. I smell a law suit coming! Buyer Beware! Im definitely looking for a better garage door manufacturer going forward. Just my 2 cents but Im willing to bet Im not the only one dealing with this. Save yourself the potential similar frustrations Ive been experiencing and just be sure you know what you are getting into. I know I wish I would have done more homework on this before making the investment.

My brand new garage door opener all of a sudden lost communication with all remotes devices. The service I received when calling was beyond great! I was walked through step by step how to solve all the issues with the machine. The attitude and sincerity of the service tech that I talked to was one of if not the best I have ever talked to when needing help on anything. Definitely recommend liftmaster over all brands as they are reliable but if something is to go wrong the service is impeccable!

Light burnt through plastic cover

After about one year the light burned *** in the plastic. Please advise what caused this to happen and can it cause a fire
