Fuel surcharge

After viewing and ordering online, At checkout there was a non refundable $2.00 fuel surcharge. How can they justify thousands/ tens of thousands of $2.00 surcharges?I mean are they delivering the photo's to the schools in helicopters? The pics are nice and I like the lost child card but why are the schools stuck hiring this money grab company year after year?

Crap editing

Proofs were terrible. Obviously someone doesnt know how to edit for green screen. Called and asked for new proofs because it was hard to see what was what with all the blue. Got told its not their practice to send better proofs, but the pics would be well-edited. Theyre not! In fact, theyre absolute crap.

Oshawa Canada

Class photo- grade 7---all kids faces bleached out of recognition, come on , they should know SOMETHING about lighting to work there! No one is smiling (photographer couldn't crack a joke?) and best part? One kid is giving the finger under his seat...how could they not notice this?????? I have NO idea why school keep using this pathetic excuse of a 'Photographic' Company.

Not impressed with the way the photos were packaged and the respone to my complaints

Received my daughters grad pics uncut, in an envelop with no protection against crushing and there was coding on the picture so I have to now use a guillotine to cut it. for that price I would think they could cut it professionally, not having coding and deliver it in a more protective manner using cardboard etc. the response was hopeless....stating that they try to save paper costs, that they need the coding for their own purposes to identify the student. in todays day and age I cant believe that a company that does professional photography cannot find innovative ways to deliver protect and identify their products. never again, and I will be telling the school board how I feel about them using this company!

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS

I have posted 3 complaints regarding Life Touch. I have also called Life Touch numerous times today alone, all leading back to a woman named Carol who repeats herself and says nothing else. I am beyond annoyed with speaking to her, and I want someone else to call me back. I told her that when she called me this afternoon after receiving my emails. I look forward to speaking to another employee of Life Touch - other than Carol!

COMPLAINT

Lifetouch took pictures at my daughters school - the code on the package to order pictures has never worked. I have been calling them since SEPTEMBER 2018 to get the proper code. They give me the exact same code and refuse to help. So - they have pictures of my daughter but I don't. Worst company ever. No help.

The poses were extremely awkward

What most people said is true awkwardness of the poses in the background settings and very limited if the school you to see is Companyagain I will not have them taken , and I was told that the head company is Winnipeg Manitoba Canada

Second mistake in 2 years

Last year we received my daughter's photos back without add ons we paid for (name and grade, basic retouching). This year we didn't even receive her photos. I paid online and now a month and a half later, no pictures. I emailed them and they said it will take 3-4 weeks to get them to me!!! My daughter's school received her photos back 3 weeks ago. When mistakes are made by a company, orders should be expedited or refund compensation should be provided. I hate that Pinellas County schools use Lifetouch. Nothing but issues with them. Some years photos have come back looking like crap. Hair in the face, shirt collars crooked. When kids are in elementary, how about having a REAL photographer help them out a bit so parents get a good photo we've pay a lot of money for.

Bad school photos

First photo they cut off my sons head. I requested a retake for him and a sibling shot since that too looked bad - my sons hair was messed up. At the retake for the sibling shot, one of my sons was half way out of the photo! Who are these photographers? Just awful. I asked for discount and they refused to give it to me. It seems that the photos were taken in a rush and it doesn't matter if their collar is up or a hair in the way, they won't fix it. I find it pricey and very amateur...couldn't have taken a better photo with my phone. Not impressed.

Lifetouch.

To the parents complaining about the quality of their pictures: As a lifetouch employee, I understand how important these pictures are to parents and family. However, there are some things parents must realise before they make assumptions about Lifetouch and their employees. 1. My standards are high. I feel dissatisfied with myself if I do not capture a good picture of your child. But.. I have literally 30 seconds to one minute with each child. At a school of 300 kids (by comparison, this is a small school.) can you imagine if we gave each child a half hour photo session? We would be at one school for weeks. Efficiency is key, just as with any other job. Imagine you are a parent, waiting minutes and minutes on end for your child to get their picture. Now times that by 300 parents. Now imagine the impatience. I've been on the end of impatient, angry parents, and it's not pretty. I cannot give one child more time than another (this excepts certain situations, such as special needs).. it's just not fair to anyone. 2. To the parent that complained we only took one photo. That is literally the whole idea. It is a prepay shot, one picture. We are not going to take numerous pictures of your child, otherwise we would have to obviously charge you a lot more. One picture, 8 bucks. Three pictures? Well, that would be 24 bucks. Simple math. Our prepay system will not support more than one picture per child. We take multiple pictures then choose the best one and delete the rest. That is all we can do. 3. Parents talk about how easy it is to make a child that is scared, intimidated, nervous and new to this, smile. It is not easy, not at all. The poor kid is so intimidated by the camera, the lights, the strange person taking their picture.. Of course their smile won't be natural if I just tell them to say cheese! I work hard to make the kid comfortable. I chat with them and say dumb stuff to try and make them laugh. I compliment them and ask them to show me their biggest, best smile that mom will love. Some kids just do not cooperate. Some kids are so shy they wont even look me in the eye. Some kids are too young to understand what a nice smile looks like. Have you ever tried explaining to a 4 year old that baring their teeth is not a pretty smile? I cannot force a smile. I won't yell at the child to "smile better", as i have witnessed some parents do. The kid will in time learn to smile more naturally. Please understand that I do what I can.

Consumer ripoff at its best!

I have been emailing for weeks with these idiots at LifeTouch to have their logo removed from my sons picture because I do not want it visible. THIER response is : it's impossible to remove.. However if you wish to purchase the CD it comes with the image that has the logo removed. What a pile of horses&$t ! Saying it's impossible but totally possible if I pay for something I don't want. I hope every school reads these complaints and stop using this company. Plenty of company's out there would love to take their place. Send a link of this to every. Parent you know and tell them to speak to their school council to change company's.

I didn't fell in their trap

I don't want to waste my hard earned money for this greedy people who charges exorbitant price for school pictures. I don't understand why these school boards give this shark an opportunity to steal common man's sweat money. May be there are people outside willing to pay whatever they ask for, but if you have too much money give it to someone who deserve it. I am going to raise this issue in the next school meeting, why they want to please these crooks. I understand there are other companies who charge reasonable price for quality product. My advise, "don't fell in their trap" !

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!

Ive contacted this company many times with NO resolution. This company is the absolute worst, I hope our school district goes with different company soon!

Original review Sep 20, 2016
When my first child was in K, the way they operated seemed ok enough now they've changed their practices to make more money and then don't provide what they are supposed. I ordered a portraint package that was to include the Class photo (the one with all the students and teacher). Those were always fun memories for us growing up but now my child has lost out on her 1 st grade class photo because this company though said "included with package" never gave it me. I contacted them got a refund to something or other not my card because I told them I no longer have the account they still did it. Also, I was given a free shipping code that DOES NOT WORK! You have to keep on your toes with these people and yet they will not serve as promised. HORRIBLE!!

Lifetouch does not stand behind their products

I ordered a 16 x 20 canvas two years ago for my son. It has warped badly (I have a new home). I contacted Lifetouch and they would not warranty this. I placed an order for my daughter's package and asked if I could included this in the package. I ordered the biggest package for both kids. They would not let me do it. Then I asked if they would ship the two orders together. They would not and they would not even give me a $10 shipping credit. THEY DID NOTHING FOR THE FAULTY PRODUCT. I was very understanding about the return policy. I was trying to minimize the replacement cost.

Extremely upset with school pictures....

Received my kids school pictures today, the class photo that was taken, they had cut off half his face cause they placed a very tall boy in front of him! My daughters and sons individual pictures turned out aweful as well, their body's were off to the side of the picture, they weren't in the middle of picture.... I called to complain, they never apologized... I have four kids total and will never ever buy pics from this company again,I'll try Daves Photgraphy or other Brandon locations, even Walmart! I won't add a copy of my sons class pic as I don't have permission from other parents to do so....

Lifetouch Photography Canada Photo Service Review

Overpriced, don't even know what they are doing. Rude photographers and they take terrible pictures. An 8 year old can take better photos. They purposely took bad pictures and laughed and made us leave. And sent it and expected $125 for that garbage. Never use them. Save a buck and take a selfie
