FRAUD Complaint

Request: Cancel this fraudulent policy IMMEDIATELY! Safeco Insurance (a Liberty Mutual Company), via Helmsman Insurance Agency, has committed a crime by opening an insurance policy without my authorization, and have sent me a bill for payment. Cancellation effective date: IMMEDIATELY, August 29, 2023 Reason for cancellation: I did not authorize the creation of this policy opened by the scam artists at HELMSMAN INSURANCE AGENCY when I called for a simple insurance quote for my motorcycle. E-Signature of named insured: Caglan Baler Date: August 29, 2023 NOTE: I will NOT send a handwritten signature on a cancellation request form per their request! Failure to comply to this request will result in a FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION COMPLAINT pursuant to Consumer Protection Laws, and a FILING with The Better Business Bureau for FRAUD. Rude Customer Service Agent!

Today I had the misfortune of speaking with Albert. I called in because I was finalizing the purchase of my quote for auto insurance and the website directed me to speak with customer support to confirm some details. The quote was for myself and my mother, and we were looking to purchase the annual rate to be effective the same day. From the moment I started speaking to him, there was so much condescension in his tone. He constantly cut me off, and was overall very negative (literally said no to almost every question). I currently deal with social anxiety from time to time, and this interaction definitely triggered me. My mother joined the conversation to confirm payment for the annual quote, and he treated her no better. She asked if the policy could be started the same day of purchase, to avoid a lapse in coverage. He immediately told her that wasnt possible. What he didnt realize was that my mother has worked in insurance for many years and knows for a fact that this is possible. So of course, she retaliated stating that it IS possible, prompting him to then check. (She was right btw). As we were preparing to pay, we of course had to reiterate what was just quoted to us, just to confirm the information is correct, since we were paying a few thousand dollars. He then replies in a VERY condescending tone, THATS A LOGICAL OBSERVATION. Both my mom and I could not understand where the sass was coming from to which she even asked why she was being spoken to in such a manner that was uncalled for. He must have also assumed we couldnt afford to purchase the full amount of the policy because he even said at one point IF YOURE LOOKING TO PURCHASE THE FULL AMOUNT, THEN GOOD FOR YOU, OR YOU CAN DO IT IN TWO PAYMENTS. Again in such a CONDESCENDING way. By the end of the phone call, we were relieved to be off the line. This is why I usually prefer to do things online to avoid rude, condescending, and downright disrespectful customer agents like this one at Liberty Mutual. I really hope this reaches the right management / leaders at Liberty Mutual so that areas of opportunity such as this can be a lesson to grow from for their customer service staff. As far as any current or future customers of Liberty Mutual, if you come across Albert, kindly ask to be redirected to someone else, or hang up and call again or you may be subject to the same unprofessionalism.

Can’t talk to anyone to get insurance

Called five didnt numbers and could not talk to a live person kept hanging up on me pretty ridiculous I already have a quote just wanted to get it started but cant.

I'M FEAD UP AND ABOUT TO HIRE AN ATTORNEY

CLAIM NUMBER: 0533839**-** SAFECO LIBERTY MUTUAL The picture is of my car in the parking lot where I drove it to and left it .. the others are of it after it was at the shop! Heres a rundown on whats going on with my vehicle that was damaged on May 3, 2023. Ive been getting the runaround from people who do not do their job correctly and could be careless about who it costs. I did not get involved with choosing the shop to send my vehicle to. It was all the insurance companies doing. Geraldine Ferguson was the original adjuster - so on May 4th it went to Hudsons collision center. the vehicle set there for 2 weeks before and agent reached out the shop to find out that they couldnt do what needed to be done and recommended it be brought to Mike Smith BMW it was put on the rack and looked over with pictures and videos taken, the estimate was written and turned into Kimberly McCabe, and she rejected a bunch of parts because they were OEM BMW parts. The price difference was $1,300, my vehicle set in that shop for 19 days blocking a bay because one wheel was off and couldnt be moved. since Kimberly wouldnt try to work something out with me and let the BMW shop fix it Mike smith BMW charged a storage fee of $1,000. If Kimberly wouldve worked something out, they wouldnt have had charge a storage fee .so instead of working something out they paid the $1,000 and moved it to another shop Philpott which is known for shady business! To top it off Kimberlys boss took it upon himself to call Philpott Collision and supposedly worked out a deal for them to fix the vehicle for a cheaper price using knock off aftermarket parts! Ive never heard of anything like that before! Then once Philpott Collision went and picked up the vehicle (which was on a Thursday) they left behind parts that removed to do some of the inspection, on Friday the estimator there was rushing to go out of town, and they submitted a supplement on parts they didnt pick up and things that they are. claiming that needs to be replaced now that didnt before they received the vehicle. Now that seems a little strange that Kimberlys boss decided to go out of his way to find a shop and then they wrote a false report to make the car totaled! My vehicle has been in the shop for 85 days. that truly unbelievable! Not what I would have expected from any insurance company, much less one that I pay $316 a month for Liberty Mutual and Safeco! Geraldine Ferguson never contacted me to inform me that a supplement was submitted, and or discuss the issue. And obviously she didnt read and compare the two estimates. Then two weeks later I was contacted by Dominque Gooden, my total loss claims adjuster and obviously she didnt take the time to read and compare the estimates. My question is does anyone do their job anymore? What are we paying these people for? FYI Mike Smith inspected my vehicle completely, I was there when the car was on the rack looking at the damage, Im about to get an attorney and come after you the insurance company for the way this claim has been handled and a few other items and Philpott for writing a false report / causing damage to the vehicle to make the supplement to begin with. Fraudulent services from my liberty mutual local agent

Andrew Corndell my liberty mutual agent charged me for insurance fees for properties that was not requested by me and kept the properties that I needed insurance on out of my umbrella policy . I had updated him every time any changes happened and he kept saying he is making changes but when I dogged further in after all this years I see he made money out me without providing the services asked .

Canceled my insurance without a formal letter. I actually didn’t have homeowner insurance for approximately 3 months, only way I found out is checking when my bill was due.

After consulting with customer service with liberty mutual she told me I wasnt insured because I had 2 claims in 5 years. Also they reviewed and declined to renew my insurance. I never got a letter to tell me I had no insurance. Ironically I just got one this past week, 3 months too late. I now have insurance with another provider, but my complaint is what would of happened if I actually had a house fire? I believed I had insurance. We would of lost a large amount of money if we did lose our home or content. I believe we should be compensated for no legal facts or letter telling us we no longer had insurance.. The amount we did claim for the 5 years being insured with them was 1,000 wow not a reason to cancel or for that matter tell us we need to get other insurance. Very disappointed in Liberty!!

When and IF I ever get to speak with with a human being, I will cx all of my insurances w Liberty mutual as they can't afford or are too stingy to pay for a human being from our country to answer the mother freaking phone I am pissed you charge me a fortune for my freaking insurance how dare you not have anybody to help us on the damn phone

I've called numerous times trying to get the phone number to your corporate office your email and your fax and your service people keeps hanging up on me

I've been humiliated and my civil rights has been violated under the ADA compliance Haven't had six different adjusters each one has lied haven't spent over $15,000 just to put a roof over my head scent receipts in and adjuster has lied about the reimbursement been out of my house since January the 5th to present day my house is torn apart I cannot find my belongings because you have stored all of my things somewhere and refuse to tell me the location

They auto renewed my policy and now I am being wrongly charged

Id like to register here my frustration in doing business with Liberty Mutual. I had car insurance with them from 02/17/2022 valid for one year, therefore expiring on 02/16/2023. In early February/2023 when my insurance was about to expire, as I usually do, I quoted several companies and ended up not buying Liberty Mutual this time since I was presented better offers. To my surprise, couple days later I realized that I got charged a monthly payment from Liberty and then I reached out asking what was it about since I have not renewed my coverage with them. They acknowledge my complain and in fact, they sent a refund check to me by mail. Issue solved, I thought. Then to my surprise now on late May/2023 I received a letter a credit collection services, charging me an amount of $135.00. I called them to understand better what was it about and they explained that this is the period of coverage from February 17th until April 4th, the date I called them asking for a refund. I have never signed up for any policy auto renewal with Liberty Mutual, but for some reason they did it. Due to their mistake I had redundant car insurance from 02/17/2023 until 04/04/2023. I will go ahead and pay the $135.00 I am being MISTAKENLY charged, so I dont have my score impacted, but I do expect this to be refund or I will never consider anymore Liberty as my insurance provider.

I'm having to pay my deductible for a accident caused by a driver insured with joy also. That's not fair. Can my deductible be waived.

Liberty is a poor product.

1) I have learned sadly Liberty Mutual Insurance does not stand by it`s product. Supposedly Liberty stands by Subaru Products.(Not True). My wife and daughter have been rear-ended, they were at a complete stop, as the Law requires when stopped by a red light. Both wife and daughter have been treated horribly. Our Subaru Forester totaled.by Libertys Professionals. Number 1 my wife continues to have problems, Insurance for this sadly poultry). I let Liberty know I no longer needed to pay for two automobiles. Why?. According to Liberty Mutual Subaru product is totaled. Now to make things worse, Value according to Liberty (None). We continue to wait on Liberty payments , I have paid approximately 10 years on this so call good product and . continue waiting Liberty a great product that takes your money and run. My recommendation to future customers,

Liberty Mutual refuses to resolve the issue in any way except to have us pay money we do not owe. They were very rude and disrespectful about it!

I had a auto insurance policy with Liberty Mutual as well as a renters insurance policy. Last Sept 2022, I signed into the app only to discover my auto policy gone. Found out it had been cancelled due to nonpayment. I had autopay set up. I had gotten my policy through Community Federal Credit Union so it was discounted but had cancelled my checking account there previously and switched to another checking account. Liberty Mutual did not even notify me in any way there was a problem with my payment that Sept 2022. Less than a month and I was cancelled without my knowledge. No auto insurance. Later in November I cancelled my renters insurance. Months later I got a ding on my credit from them claiming I owe over $240. My husband tried resolving the issue only to be treated rudely and was told we were not cancelled until Oct and notices were sent. Then they claimed we had not cancelled the renter insurance either!

Impossibility of canceling or not renewing policy due to built-in difficulty of such notice on website.

Saved nearly $1,000 by switching to another company as of policy renewal date. Same coverage except increased deductible. HATE YOUR POLICY OF NO CANCEL WITHOUT CALLING. Provided written notice of cancellation by snail mail. Find LM electronic services unsatisfactory. Find LM commercials stupid and not funny. Will not recommend you to anyone.

Got a msg that Il be turned to collections over a bill that I do not owe

I began auto/car coverage 11/5/2021 &gave a down pymnt 79.58. They said my 1st pymt would autodraft 12/21/21. I got an email at renewal time in Feb that my rates are going up even tho we had no tickets or wrecks ever. so I signed on w State Farm 3/9/23. I am told by Liberty that I owe a full pyment and I know that I do not. Can you please look into this /my acct and get your hateful staff in order and this so called bill corrected? I have good credit and will fight this all the way, as I do not owe, in fact am due a couple days refund from LIberty Mutual. Thank you for looking into this. Will not pay my claim, without police report

I had several contractors working in my home, and, in particular, in an upstairs bedroom. I hadn't noticed immediately, but I found that 2 expensive pieces of jewelry were missing from my drawer. I did not file a police report because, as a female, I am afraid that, if these men were brazen enough to steal from me, the way that they did, they may also have no apprehension about retaliating, in some way, if the police question them. I submitted a claim, without the police report. I provided receipts and explained the situation and LM will NOT process my claim!! While I really cannot afford to lose the 3000 worth of merchandise, I am not willing to jeopardize my safety to appease this multi-billion dollar company that collects money from me every month! INSURANCE IN THIS COUNTRY IS A SCAM!!! IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT COMPANY YOU PAY. THEY AREN'T THERE FOR YOU OR ME!
