Ember caswell refuses to return my phone calls

Updated by user Aug 04, 2023
Ember Caswell Still has refused to call me. Evidently someone got the message I was pissed.

I had another service manager call me and he set up an apt for repair, next week.

If she had just called me back, text me, or even email me. I would not have to go this far to...

Original review Aug 04, 2023
i have been trying to reach Ember Caswell, a service manger, at the Portland, Oregon dealership. I have Emailed her, phoned her, left messages for her to call me. i have done this for 3 weeks! I have even had other people from the Vancouver, Washington store email her for me. SHE STILL HAS NOT RETURNED MY PHONE CALL! I drove 5 hours to talk to her, and she was off! but if she had just returned my phone call, I would not have had to drive that far! I'm tired of waiting on her I need warranty work done, and she will not return my phone calls! I have contacted Grand Design too. something has to be done. This is not a great look. my next move will be social media. So either i get a phone call, or the BBB andsocial media will be next step. Tracy C.Meskel US Army Ret.

Terrible service department

Sales was good, have no problem with them. The service department, however, is pathetic at best. My 5th wheel was there for 4 months to do some upgrades and repair a slide that was not working. A list of the mistakes they made would be too long to post but here are the highlights: barrel locks were to be installed; one was installed almost correctly, another was installed incorrectly and another was not really installed at all. Slide parts installed were wrong ones, other parts were wrong size and all were installed incorrectly, took my RV to a well know and highly respected shop in Indiana and they literally removed 3 bolts on the slide mechanism by hand they werent even tightened down! On just the 1 slide that was worked on, this new shop identified more than 12 errors that were made in the repairs. Communication throughout the 4 months was horrible... the only way I could reach service was via text and often times, it would take over a week to get a response (after calling the corporate office). Avoid this service department if you can!

Lazy Days will not stand behind their word or Signed Contract!

After selling our RV to the dealership Lazy Days went back on their word and did not honor a signed contract. On inspecting our RV an issue was found with a slide and Lazy Days took a $1000 off of the agreed price. We agreed after some back and forth negotiations with Shane (the sales person) shared they would have to fix or in his words (eat it) if other issues were found upon further inspection. Since the check was already made out for the agreed amount, we had to agree in the contract on a check to be overnighted for a $1000 less. Contract was amended and then signed and the RV was then taken away. The following day we contacted Shane to ask about purchasing our unit back as an RV we were looking at to buy did not work out. Shane was very frustrated and said this just opened up a can of worms and he would have to speak with Lazy Days on Monday when he returned to work. Less than a 1/2 hour after this conversation we decided because of the hassle for Shane and how frustrated he was with this issue we decided to send a text to Shane and to leave the signed contract the way it was. We would then proceed in finding another RV. Monday morning Shane calls and shares to come and get the unit as they found other issues and that he never received the text. Buyers or sellers beware that Lazy Days will not stand behind their word nor a signed contract.

AWEFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SERVICE AT MURFREESBORO TN LOCATION

We bought a new 2022 Reflection 5th wheel with extended warranty. It took 10 months to repair!! No one ever returned our calls or answered emails. We had to physically walk in the store to speak with management. We were ensured the repairs would be done and blamed everything on the manufacturer. We finally picked up the camper but found out there are now more problems. Its worse now than when we brought it in for the initial repairs.

Problems from the start!

0 If I could give a zero I would. IF you want to buy an RV with good service go elsewhere DO NOT BUY HERE! You will pay thousands of dollars and they will turn their heads from sales to district officers. WE are now trying to invoke the lemon law and consumer fraud for the warranty the sell. Our problems started the minute we signed the paperwork! Leaks in the sink, toilet outside fill switch emissions check engine light power leveling jacks, total transmission replacement, horrible, horrible warranty company the list goes on and on. We are now working with Florida attorney general, NY attorney general, and Illinois attorney general along with a personal attorney. If you want to buy from them, please look at all the reviews especially the 1 and 2 before you buy and do NOT TAKE THEIR WARRANTY AGSW!!! Find a better one online and check the reviews there are much, much better ones out there. If you are still seeking help, use the organizations in this review. We've spent over $10000 even with the warranty!! I have talked to everyone up the line and same ole spin! They will not fix the product they are selling!!!

Extremely poor customer service in the parts department.

We had a tire blow and needed parts to repair 5th wheel as my husband is great at do it yourself. We had to make multiple trip at an hour each way to find out that they forgot to order the parts. Then when parts came in and another trip, they were incorrect. Many phone calls to fix issue and again parts were not ordered. It finally took 5 months to get the correct parts and trailer looks awesome. When picking up final parts my husband wanted to really let the parts salesman know his frustrations but was told they fired him. We felt a little eased by the news but still let them know all of our frustrations.

Service Delays for Warranty Issues

Re: General Design Reflection 302MKS at Tucson, AZ service dept. We purchased this unit at the end of June 2022, returned it in Aug for numerous small issues missed on the PDI process, and then returned it on Sept 28 for a failed refrigerator, jack system issues, DC electrical issues, and the completion of the minor issues from Aug. We have had significant delays with the local service dept in performing the proper diagnostics, identifying the issues, and filing the necessary warranty with the OEM. Communication has been basically non-existent unless I initiate the phone call or text message. They finally completed the warranty paperwork last week for the replacement of the refrigerator, and we were informed on Monday the warranty was approved. The refridgerator was ordered on Monday. We were informed today the refrigerator is not in stock, will not be available at General Design until Nov 4 with a 2 week shipping time. This places the return of our rig the week of Thanksgiving, or roughly 10 weeks after we brought it in. We are full timers which is why we purchased this unit to begin with. We are completely dissatisfied and disgusted with the treatment and lack of urgency from the Tucson service dept. We have now requested they remove a refrigerator from another unit to install in our rig to expedite the repair. This experience has been contrary to the reputation of General Design RV quality as well as the reputation for Lazy Days for customer service. The local service dept seems to be completely chaotic in their approach to scheduling and performing work with no consideration to our circumstances. We are requesting your involvement in authorizing the "robbing" of another unit and requesting assistance with living expenses. Thank you, Forrest Smith

Poor Service at Tucson, AZ location

Purchased a Grand Design Reflection 5th wheel at end of June 2022 for full time RV living and traveling. Refrigerator failed on Sept 18 while in Southern California, and informed by Grand Design to return unit to Tucson location for warranty replacement. Unit sat for 8 days before being put into shop, then took almost 3 weeks to get the proper diagnostics completed and warranty paperwork submitted. We had to call and visit to discuss proper diagnostics. Received numerous promised for 9 days on getting this done. Finally completed in 5th week at dealership. Now informed it will be another 3 weeks before we get our unit back. There is no sense of urgency with the service dept and no consideration for full timers. We would not purchase from Lazy Days again if they were the last dealership in the US,

No response

I asked about selling or consigning our motorhome on Oct 4th. Todd Earwood sent me a form to fill out which I did immediately. 3 days later I emailed him back asking if he received my info. No reply. Now it's been a week with no response.

Refused to fix warranty problems

Bought a 7 yr old Roadtrek class B from them. They said I would have a 30 day warranty. After a week the solar Don't buy from themdonelectrical system failed. They had it in the shop for two weeks and replaced a minor switch and said everything was fine. The solar system has never kept the batteries charged. I called the service manager multiple times and he would not return my calls. They just would not even respond let alone fix anything. Would not buy anything from them ever again. If you are looking at one of their units have it checked by an independent shop and don't give them any money until all things are fixed or walk away.

TERRIBLE/"WORSTSALES/SERVICE,IN GENERALTHE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE KNOWN TO MANKIND

To: Ms. Linda Stephens, Vice President of Customer Experience, Tampa Bay Lazydays, Tampa, FL. My name is Diane Horn Kidd,931-691-**** I am a 70 yr. old Senior, honest woman, and here is my Lazydays, Tampa FL, Horror Story involving your company. I PURCHASED A 2017 THOR ACE 30.1 MOTORHOME ON MONDAY, AUG.18, 2022, WITH THEOUTRAGIOUSLY PRICED PLATINUM SERVICE WARRANTY PACKAGE AND THE 2 FRONT SAFETY BELTS ON THE FRONT WHEELS.AND AFTER A LONG PERIOD OF FAILED PROMISES AND SHODDY OLD 2015 TIRES THE SALES TEAM LIED TO US AND SAID THEY WERE NOT 2015'S, BUT OUR INSPECTOR MADE A MISTAKE AND SALES ARGUED PROFUSELY THAT THEY ARE ACTUALLY 2017'S UNTIL MY HUSBAND SHOWED THEM AN ACTUAL PHOTO HE TOOK OF THE TIRE NUMBERS TO PROVE THEY WERE DEFINITELY OUT OF INDUSTRY STANDARDS WHICH OUR SPONSER ADMITTED TO FINALLY BEFORE HIS SALES MANAGERS THEN TOLD HIM THAT THEY DO NOT GO BY THE NUMBERS OF YEARS SINCE MANUFACTURE, THEY HAVE THEIR "OWN COMPANY STANDARD" WHICH IS A DANGEROUS PRACTICE. MANY LIES AND FALSE PROMISES LATER AND DELAYS, AND OUR PAYING APPROXIMATELY $1300 FOR AN INDEPENDENT INSPECTOR WE HIRED DUE TO OUR LACK OF TRUST IN THE COMPANY, ESPECIALLY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND SALES, WE FINALLY GOT TO PICK UP OUR MOTORHOME THAT NEXT LATE MONDAY EVENING SO WE COULD DRIVE HOME TO TN WHERE WE CURRENTLY LIVE FROM TAMPA, FL., WHERE WE JUST PURCHASED THIS NOW CLOSE TO $85,000jMOTORHOME FROM A BEGINNING PROMISE OF ONLY PAYING A TOTAL DRIVE OUT PRICE OF $70,000 (another lie) ,WE ONLY GOT 46 MILES BEFORE THE JUST-SERVICED VEHICLE BROKE DOWN WITH AN OVERHEATED GENERATOR (my husband burned his hands and had to use his bundled undershirt to even get close to the overheated, fiery hot generator cover and generator) THAT RESULTED IN absolutely, NO REAR AIR-CONDITIONING ON A VERY, VERY, HOT AND UNBEARABLY HUMID DAY/EVENING. NO ONE WE CALLED ON OUR VERY EXPENSIVE "PLATINUM" POLICY COULD HELP US UNLESS WE WANTED TO WAIT 2 WEEKS AT THE REST STOP UNTIL THEY WERE FREE, ONE OPERATOR TOLD US THEY COULD NOT HELP US WITH THE WARRANTEE AND WE "JUST NEEDED TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER" WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT WE HAD TO DO SINCE WE COULD NOT GET ANY HELP AND WE WERE STRANDED OUT THERE.AT THE REST STOP!. THEN, SINCE MY HUSBAND HAD TO RETURN TO WORK THE NEXT DAY OR BE FIRED, WE STAYED OVER AT THE nasty HOTEL ONSITE AGAIN, HAVING HAD NO FOOD T0 EAT SINCE EVERYTHING WAS CLOSED BY THE TIME WE GOT BACK TO THE DEALER LATE MONDAY NIGHT, THE SAME DAY, JUST A FEW SHORT HOURS AFTER I JUST SIGNED the PAPERs ONLY WE NEVER REALLY HAD POSSESSION OF IT SINCE WE LEFT IT WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER WHO PROMISED TO KEEP US APPRISED OF THE ISSUE AND FIX IT SO WE COULD GET IT HOME SOMEDAY, BUT BY NOW, MY HUSBAND AND WE HAD TO PAY TO FLY HOME ON TUESDAY, PAY TO EAT BREAKFAST AND LUNCH UNTIL WE GOT HOME AND OUR SON PICKED US UP.AT THE NASHVILLE AIRPORT, TN MINUS WITHOU THE "46 MILE WONDER MOTORHOME" THAT THE SERVICE MANAGER PROMISED TO FIX, AFTER THEY HAD ALREADY CHECKED IT OUT AS already "SERVICED BY THEM" JUST A FEW SHORT HOURS AGO. HOWEVER, MY HUSBAND CALLED from our home in TN, EVERY DAY OUR MOTORHOME WAS IN THE SHOP AND HE COULD NOT EVEN GET THE COURTESY FROM ANYONE IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO EVEN RETURN HIS CALLS ALL WEEK LONG. ANOTHER 7 DAYS WITHOUT THE MOTORHOME WHILE I AM ACCRUING INTEREST ON A VERY EXPENSIVE LOAN WHEN I STILL DO NOT EVEN HAVE THE MOTORHOME IN OUR POSSESSION!!! MY HUSBAND CONTINUED TO CALL THE SERVICE MANAGER AGAIN THIS WEEK, WITH NO ANSWER AND NO RESPONSE SO HE FINALLY CALLED HIS MANAGER WHO FINALLY GOT THE SERVICE MANAGER TO CALL HIM BACK AND WHEN MY HUSBAND ASKED WHY NO ONE COULD EVEN HAVE HAD THE COMMON COURTESY TO CALL HIM BACK AND REPORT THE PROBLEM AND THE FIX, HE SAID "HE HAD BEEN ON VACATION" AND WHEN MY HUSBAND QUESTIONED HIM IF HE HAD BEEN ON VACATION ALL WEEK, HIS ANSWERED "NO" WITH NO EXCUSE FOR NOT EVEN ONE CALL BACK. HE HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT (I DO NOT BELIEVE THEY EVEN LOOKED AT IT EVEN THOUGH WE LEFT IT THERE SO THEY WOULD HAVE PLENTY OF TIME TO CHECK OUT THE PROBLEM AND FIX IT.) ALL WE EVER GET IS EXCUSES FROM EVERYONE IN THIS COMPANY IN TAMPA. IT IS REALLY A SAD SITUATION AND WHEN THIS TIME SHOULD HAVE BEEN SUCH A WONDERFUL HAPPY TIME FOR IS, THIS WAS THE WORST PURCHASE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE AND I HAVE PURCHASED MANY, MANY ITEMS IN MY SEVENTY YEARS ON THIS EARTH. BOTH THE SALES AND SERVICE DEPT. SHOULD BE ASHAMED FOR THEIR TOTAL LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BECAUSE OF ALL OF THIS, I DEMAND MY MONEY BACK FOR EVERYTHING WE PAID FOR THAT MOTORHOME AND ALL THE EXTRA EXPENSES WE HAVE HAD TO PAY EXTRA OUT OR OUR POCKET, JUST TO GET SOME HONESTY, AND SOME SIMPLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR A MOTORHOME YOU PROMISED WAS CHECKED OUT TO BE IN GREAT CONDITION. I THINK YOU NEED TO TAKE ANOTHER LOOK AT THIS OFFICE AND YOUR EMPLOYEES HAVE A VERY POOR REPUTATION ONLINE FOR BOTH THEIR HONESTY AND STANDING BEHIND THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL. I GAVE THE COMPANY THERE A CHANCE ANYWAY BECAUSE OF OUR OPPOSITE, GREAT EXPERIENCE WE HAD WITH OUR NASHVILLE OFFICE. THEY JUST DID NOT HAVE WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR AT THE TIME WHILE TAMPA DID. I AM NOT KIDDING WHEN I SAY I DEMAND A TOTAL REFUND FOR ALL THE DIFFICULTIES BOTH MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE HAD JUST HONESTLY TRYING TO HAVE SOME FUN IN OUR SENIOR YEARS, ESPECIALLY SINCE MY HUSBAND AND I ARE BOTH HANDICAPPED AND IN CONSTANT PAIN, AND WE JUST WANTED TO HAVE FUN CAMPING AGAIN. THE ONLY THING WE DID WRONG WAS TO RELY ON YOUR COMPANY IN TAMPA'S PROMISES TO DELIVER WHAT THEY PROMISED US FROM THE VERY BEGINNING AND THEY BROKE THAT TRUST QUITE MISERABLY AND QUITE OFTEN. MY HUSBAND IS STILL WAITING FOR A RETURN CALL FROM THE REPAIR MANAGER THAT HAD THE NERVE, AFTER ALL THE DAYS HE HAS HAD THE MOTORHOME IN HIS POSSESSION THAT WE SHOULD NOT WORRY, HE WOULD KEEP LOOKING BUT STILL, NO RETURN PHONE CALLS TO MY HUSBAND ABOUT ANYTHING.NO STATUS ON THE PROBLEM STILL AND THIS IS HOW YOU SUPPORT YOUR 30 DAY WARRANTEE AND THE PLATINUM PROTECTION THAT BOTH SALES AND SERVICE BRAGS ABOUT??? I WILL BE AWAITING MY REFUND AND YOUR RESPONSE.

Bait and switch after one day!

This people sent me an agreement to purchase for a price and after having all trades and price negotiated they bait and switch for 20K more next day when I asked for a 1K discount; they should be reported to the authorities. Don't do business with Baris Rodríguez or his manager. See below images I'm not laying this people are bad.

I purchased a defective new coachman beyond

my salesman Jordan sold me a coachman beyond that had a defective firefly gauge. He did not do a complete check of the new vehicle I bought. I called for help with them saying all the right things but doing nothing. i went to firefly where you can never talk to a person only to leave messages. they were of no help saying they should be getting a computer upgrade soon whatever that means. Lazydays is a lot of flash but do not stand behind anything. i would advise anyone to stay away from because you will not get any support when you need it. definitely stay away from firefly monitoring system. the worse buying experience I have ever had. this is my 5th RV I'm not a rookie but I was taken advantage of by them and will never do business with them ever again. my advice is if you want support after buying you're not going to get it here.s
