May the odds be ever in your favor if you use Latham Pool

If anything breaks, they have zero infrastructure to support customers. If you even make it past the MENSA operator who answers their phone, your fate will be in the hands of whatever voicemail you are transferred to that is full, or you'll be given a name and number for a service provider that is no longer in business. When brand new, great product. Dealing with them for any service whatsoever is a futile siege of testing your personal limits of frustration. Specifics - Latham's receptionist transferred me to a man who is in no way affiliated with LP and knew that the wrong number had been dialed. I called back and the braintrust gave me the number for CT service provider - Ellis Pools, which no longer exists and the number is no longer in service. Called Einstein receptionist back and she said I should speak to Jason, who covers CT. She transferred me to Charles' voicemail. I called back and she must have recognized my number and I just exist in the hold music purgatory. A more developed model of inefficiency and ineptitude, you will not find. You're better off taking your chances and swimming in a pond.

Defective product followed by poor customer service

Original review May 08, 2023
They are a terrible company with terrible management. They have a gatekeeper system, with a receptionist who refuses to transfer you to anyone and the management refuses to call you back. They disempower their employees and they disempower their dealers and installers. They shipped a fiberglass pool with *** in it which the local company installed and it was slowly leaking water ever since it was put in. It has been many months now, but they have some kind of process for handling warranty work which really just means they can schedule you whenever they want, with no concern for the customer or their needs or wants or worries. They make it very clear that both the customer and their dealers have zero importance to them. They are not compassionate, they are not timely, once you have bought the pool you are just left hanging in the wind if they happen to have manufactured it defectively. This means they either care so little about their customers it is of no importance when they repair their gross errors or it means they have so many defects and warranty claims they cant even handle the problem. Either way, stay away! Save yourself hours, days, weeks, months of worry, frustration, time, and despair, not to mention money.

We got a pool cover from Latham pool co. thru Castlerock pools in Knox. Tenn. and their service & product was a nightmare

Our first pool cover we had 28 years and only replaced it because the straps were getting loose. This Company was not in business anymore. Castlerock pool co. came out and not only got the measurements wrong around the sliding board, when we got our pool cover it also had *** in it. Castlerock would not come back to correct this problem and gave my mother Lathom's phone number for the hole. They sent us a patch for a 2750.00 pool cover. My mother is in her eighties and did not have the strength to pursue this, so I took over. They had me send it to their outfit in New York after the shut-down from covid through another pool company because Castlerock would not call us back. This could only be done through a pool company. This owner, Martha, from Quality pools was awesome. She did not have to do this. They kept it I believe from April to September and sent it back only after a district man found it for us, and we got it back with the hole to use that winter. The next year I called back after pool covered was removed and was told they were fixing nothing this year. I then told them that I hope they will stay true to their warranty. Well, we were told Lathom would give us a new cover for an additional $573.25. I got the Tenn. State consumers involved. They could get nothing done. I strongly recommend being very careful when dealing with Castlerock Pools in Knoxville Tenn. And be careful when using Lathom pool products and their warranty. This should have cost nothing. They do not do what they advertise. I just say WATCH OUT. We are living with a pool cover that does not measure properly by our sliding board and *** with a patch on our, 2750.00 pool cover. Crack on pool edge

Hi, good morning We come before you to have an opinion and confirmation regarding the pool, I have under installation process in my house. The process stated a week before hurricane Nicole, few weeks ago. The shell's pool was in the ground, full of water and it was not finished outside. During the hurricane, the rain's water came and removed part of the dirt beside de pool. Apparently causing a crack on pool's edge. The installers' company says that it can do a superficial (fiber glass repair kit )and it can solve the problem. We, as consumer weren't confidant with this because we can see this is a structural damage. You can see at the pictures the crack was coming thought the edge the pool. Please advise on your earliest convenience. Best Regard, Enia

Im still waiting for a response on my defective liner

I have submitted photos and complaint by email to Uswarranty@***.com months ago still no response! I am very unhappy and would like to receive a call-email back in return . I spoke to a represnentative and did exactly what I was told to do. Still nothing in return

The pool is great but the person that I bought it from any installer which is the same person is terrible.

Started installing my pool in March said it would be done in two weeks it took six months. You should not have contractors sell pools and install them that are terrible, absolutely the worst

Asking for Help with problem

I wrote to Latham Pools asking for help with a specific problem, that is, a white ring around my pool at the water line. All they did was send me a bunch of previously written material that had nothing to do with the issue. I wasnt pissed before but I am now.

Latham Fiberglass Pool

Latham does not stand behind their authorized installers. We had a fiberglass pool shell dropped in our yard 4 months ago, and there are still trenches everywhere; they put enough backfill to add some water, so now we also have a weird science experiment growing in our yard. It is tough to get hold of anyone at Latham, and the only thing they told me is that it is ok if the pool sets out in the yard for years - the warranty will be ok. What's the point of a contract if one doesn't have an actual collection to swim in?

Cannot contact Latham and PB never finished.

PB never finished, one week after install, huge white blotches appeared at the bottom of the pool. He said he sent a Latham rep to my home and that is could be fixed but its never happened. He disappears for 6 months at a time, doesnt return phone calls, yells and screams using profanities and making threats.

To get through the process of making a phone call to latham

My PB abandoned the job last year, he has an aversion to telling the truth, he never finished, I had to do it myself. The week after he set the pool, huge white blotches began to form at the bottom of my pool and he never did anything about it.

Issues with dealer

I don't know who's to believe because I contracted king pool liner in 2016 where I was convinced to replace my liner that was brand new with lifetime warranty and same issues arised weeks after installing new liner and for years unable to get them to re,snap my liner that's collapsed again due to poor installation by the tech. I was, told by sales representative that liner came from latham and recently latham told me it didn't looked like their liner. Beware of the crooked all over and as,a disabled veterans on low, income I can't believed richest companies are stealing, robbing disabled veterans that's defended America and shame on them.
