Missing Lab results

Everything is fine. I had two separate lab reports done for two different doctors and only one came back. I just called to find out what happened to the other one and the lady explained everything to me.

Insurance issue

Everything was handled in a timely fashion. Staff was very professional and courteous. I would recommend to family and friends.

Would not send results to my primary care

My Ob-Gyn ordered full blood work. I asked them to also send the results to my primary care doc. They did not do it. Called Lab Corp. They wanted my primary care to call and request them. Finally, they sent a copy to my email so I could forward to my primary care.

Horrible customer service!

CLUELESS. UNPROFESSIONAL. UNCARING. Customer service is a joke! They could care less about your issues. Held one hour between four "customer" service reps and my issue was NOT resolved. Oh, and beware, their customer service #, (855) 522-****, DOES NOT service all areas of the US. So after explaining your issue you are transferred to start all over again!!! Leaving a voice message at the local facility is worthless, as they NEVER call you back. Out of frustration I spoke with billing on 7/3 to find out the cost of my labs since I have no insurance, and without my request/acknowledgement was sent a "Good Faith Estimate" with my private info weeks later. Horrible, horrible experience and the hold music that plays over and over again will make you go crazy!!!

Lab results (incomplete)

My lab results were missing. I sent many messages & got nowhere. No phone # to contact them. They just want to be contacted by messages. I used pissedconsumer.com & reached a live customer service representative right away who resolved the problem.

Unprofessional service and attitude of the Labcrorp Technician

My daughter and I (mom) went to the Labcorp located in Walgreens at Short Hills, NJ today. I checked in with my DL and so it li led up my details. The technician had an attitude and said that I need to re-check in with my daughters detail. I did as she said. Then she gave us papers to sign for insurance purpose. I told her that I will not be paying anything today, will want to wait for the insurance EOB. She mumbled something and when I repeated she said these papers are for that only. I signed and then she asked me for my credit card. I told her not to charge anything to my card. She again mumbled something and I did not understand and so repeated. She said nothing will be charged. She then started with the needle. As she was withdrawing blood I saw my daughter was in pain and my daughter said she was dizzy and soon writhing seconds she started passing out with her eyes going all wonky and her tongue coming out (it was scary to see this happen). The technician continued withdrawing blood and did not stop. My daughter started pulling her hand away and suddenly blood started to ooze out from the needle was poked. The technician then took out the needle and pressed the area with her finger from where the blood was coming out in an effort to stop it My daughter had lost consciousness. I asked the technician if this was normal, this had never happened to my daughter The technician said she is taking care of her (my daughter) and got an ice gel. In the meantime my daughter put her head on me for support, the technician started rubbing the ice gel on the back of her neck. She asked my daughter if she was feeling ok and that it will start cooling off. When my daughter was able to sit back she started rubbing the ice get on her forehead. Looking at this I started feeling dizzy. The technician had asked me to hold the ice gel on her forehead but as I started feeling sick I requested the technician to hold it as I wanted to sit. The technician held it on her forehead. When I felt better I asked her why this happened to which she said that it is body and so happens. It was sometime got my daughter to recover. She went to restroom as she was feeling nauseous. After a long time we went back home. My daughter is EMT certified. She knows how the blood is withdrawn. She told me that the technician withdrew the blood very fast and so she started feeling dizzy, unconscious and felt nauseous. The effect of this whole incident is that now my daughter feels scared of getting her blood drawn out and definitely does not want to return to that technician. I request strict action be taken against the technician as it was life threatening and scary. If not, I may pursue another route.

Complaint against a lab corp location

I was not serviced properly and if I was checked in my stool sample would have been labeled properly and I would have gotten my results. The employee did not give me the time to make sure I had everything needed and therefore I am not going to find out what was wrong with me. He was disgruntled about being there alone with no one else there to give me proper service

Poor billing practices

Original review May 28, 2023
I received a bill for $374.94 for routine lab work that I have done every year. This lab work costs around $14 each year - except for the years the billing staff make a mistake with the codes. A few years ago, this happened, and they absolutely WOULD NOT listen to or work with me. I actually had to do hours of research and tell their billing people the proper codes to use (how to do their jobs!). It took several hours over multiple weeks, and the only benefit was that I was billed the correct amount. So, I found a more effective way to deal with companies like this. I actually did the following and it works: Do not pay. You will need a different lab going forward. If/when they send it to collections, dispute it on your credit report (usually a click of a button on the reporting trans union or Equifax website). Then, call a credit dispute attorney (Google) if they substantiate with the Credit reporting agency. Most will do the work for the payout, and it costs you nothing. They will sue the reporting entity. Do not settle unless they offer you more than the original bill. Ideally, get a judgement. Everyone but Labcorp will get paid, and its actually less work than trying to work with the Labcorp billing department. In fact, my experience shows that this is the only efficient way to deal with them when they make a mistake. Id I call them, they will not work with me or listen to the facts. I would recommend everyone do this with Labcorp.

Truly awful customer service

My insurance prefers this company. Every interaction I have with them is just plain terrible. They know they have you locked into their system, so they treat you like crap. Their website sucks. Their phone support sucks. Their billing people are awful. They charge for anything and everything they can. Its like the Spirit Airlines of lab testing. If its your only option, hold your breath and try to deal, but if you have any other choice, go there.

The rep on the phone was rude and hurrying me while looking into a missed bloodwork from the order.

Original review May 03, 2023
The rep on the phone was rude and hurrying me while looking into a missed blood work from the order for Lipi V Sharma (Blood draw on 4/29/2023 and report generated on 5/1/2023). Location: 9331 SOUTH COLORADO BLVD 50 HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO 80126 I don't know who dropped the ball. But only glucose test was done and the second item from the order for cholesterol was skipped for no reason. This is for my disabled daughter. I (her dad) had accompanied her. We waited for an hour or two at the lab. I even asked why only one tube was drawn when two tests are needed. I was told that they needed only one. The hardcopy of the order wasn't returned to me either. When I called Labcorp's support to ask about the missing results for cholesterol, I was told that the order had only one item, which is not true. Moreover, the rep was talking over me, impatient and acting as if it was my fault. he and I was wasting his time while his next caller was waiting. Where is any accountability, responsibility or simple service mentality? It is very disappointing. I am considering switching to another lab soon.

Resolved: One month and they still cannot provide results of my blood test

Updated by user May 28, 2023

Company resolved the issue.

Original review Apr 28, 2023
This has been going on for over 30 days. I had blood work done by a gastro doctor. report published on the portal says I have to call customer service number 1-80*-***-**** they need my height, weight, gender and age to publish the report. I call that number, rep says no the doctor office has to call, she cannot update this info at this number. My doctor office calls, gives them the info, two weeks later and they still have not updated the report. I call again, doctor office calls physician number too and I tell the customer service agent that the report has completely different instructions from what she is telling me (that the dr office has to call) she refuses again to update my profile. 30 DAYS OF THIS AND STILL NO RESULT FROM THE BLOODWORK. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
