Discrimination

I received a guest pass through my email through the exact same information. I always used to my register phone number that I always use I came. They called my phone stopped me. I came to the location from my home. Use my gas when I got to the location. The guy tried to sell me the membership and then did not let me explore the facility. He told me that I had to get out of the facility. He actually try to kick me out of the facility until I threaten to call the police. I am waiting on the police to arrive. This is the worst experience Ive ever had at a workout facility or LA fitness in my life.

Unreasonable Gym Wheaton La Fitness

LA Fitness Wheaton franchise is unrrasoable right now with its amentities. Steam room is out of service for.more than 2 weeks, pool is down as well with horrible water quality n maintenence, run down weight machines and unstable benches. I COME here to exercise amd PAY a membership and i am recieving subpar to unacceptable conditions at this club.

They are charging me for services that I have not, and cannot receive

after hiring a private trainer from LA fitness, I had problems with my right hip. I went to the orthopedic surgeon and he told me my hip was all inflamed. I have been going to physical therapy twice a week since May .my hip is still inflamed and I can no longer be at the gym. Any kind of repetitive motion is aggravating my hip. I sent all the pertinent paperwork to LA fitness as well as the corporate office yesterday they took $480 out of my account for a private trainer that I have yet to see they say they will continue to take the money out of my account. I have not been to that gym since I gave them my doctors note and I am still attending physical therapy and I will get another doctors note and a permanent release from the gym from my doctor then I will see what they do next because I will take them to court.

Rude employee

My daughter and I have a 1-week VIP guest pass that was given to us by a family member. On Tuesday evening, we went to the LA fitness club at 6791 Dempster st in Morton Grove, IL to work out, but were told we need to first activate the pass. We said we would come back in the morning for a class. On Wednesday, July 19th, we wanted to scan our passes for the class, but were stopped and forced to wait for 15 minutes by Mike M. to activate the passes. When he was finally ready for us, he was very rude and treated us like we were foolish. He was very judgmental and didn't answer our questions. He was very unhelpful. We walked out after that. Very disappointing experience as we will not be giving LA fitness our business now.

UNCLEANED MACHINES AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Poor Management, Cleanness in doubt I joined the club 1month ago. I have asked for my printed pass at least 5 times. The employees play ignorance. After 30 days, I was told that it would take another month to get it I had an appointment with a fitness instructor named Amanda. She did not show up. I asked the front desk who had no clue where she was. I still have not heard from her, 55 days later The club offers sanitized wipes. The wipe dispensers advertise only the hiring of a fitness instructor, not the need to use them on the equipment. This is not a safe and clean place

Horrible customer service

Extremely rude and did not care that we were paying customers. The manager of the LA fitness in Irvine CA on Michelle Drive sat on his phone and started playing music while we were asking him why I could not bring my guests in even though I have guest privileges. He ignored us and asked 2 questions and only repeated the same sentence every time we asked him something. He started doing other work while we were trying to get help from him. Horrible person and LA fitness should be ashamed that they hired such a person in the first place.

Lack of Equipment Maintenance

Equipment is not well cleaned and maintained. Some are intolerable with lack of lubrication. Others are inoperable, like three Stairmasters. Some treadmills also rusting and with broken screens. Stephanie, the acting manager, has done nothing in two years, blaming corporate office. Corporate does not receive your concerns; they refer all complain to her by email or calls.

Lack of local management in SAT

Acting Manager, Stephanie, holds some rude attitude towards clients and never smiles. Most importantly, she fails to service equipment and after two years complaining, nothing is done. Equipment is getting rusted; lacks pins to change weights (LBS) and bathrooms horribly stink like *** in the early afternoons. Now I have dual membership with FITNESS CONNECTION until my annual LA Fitness expires!

Managers screaming at customers

I have been going to this gym for more than a year now. My husband, my son and I came to ESPORTA now LA FITNESS in Garden City, Cranston Rhode Island. We came to start a membership. It was supposed to be under my name and have my son as an additional person so that he is able to go with out us if he wanted to and get him out of the house to have fun with his friends. We have had no problem until today. There were two employees I haven't seen at all so I'm not sure if they were new however, they stated the name holder was actually under my son and I was not on the membership. I usually go with my son and there isn't a problem but the one day I didn't is when I get stopped. I wasn't aware that this mistake had happened and I'm not even sure if it's possible for something to change like this as this membership was done when the gym was still named ESPORTA. They also stated there's no picture as well. I remember clearly both of us taking a picture for the membership as well so I just don't understand. The problem I have is not even this. The problem is the fact of how unprofessional both employees Nick and Brian were. Nick told me rudely to go to Brian as he is the manager to handle the situation. I explain what is going on and if there's a way we can just change the name because that wasn't supposed to happen and we weren't aware that's how it was either. Brian was EXTRMELY RUDE. He wouldn't let me speak and just kept saying to pay for another membership that it's not his issue that this mistake happened as the employee that helped me is no longer working there. Brian didn't like that I was looking at him and decided to scream in my face why I was starring at him and to leave if I wasn't going to buy a membership.He refused to give me his higher boss name and continued to state he's the manager but refused to give me the corporate number until he decided he had enough and had another employee give me the number. I am appalled at the manner he presented himself and the fact he thought it was okay to scream at a 50 year old woman just because I was starring at him. This is so unfortunate because I have friends that wanted to come to this gym because of the Zumba classes that I go to. Now I will make sure they do not come to this gym because of the attitude of these employees. They are so comfortable embarrassing customers and screaming in their face to leave because they don't like how they are being stared at. I'm not even sure if i would be coming back to this gym as well and may just cancel the membership. I will not stand for someone to scream in my face for something that could've been said in a different tone with a different manner. I am hoping to get contacted soon regarding this situtation and what will be done about it. No employee should EVER scream in someone's face over the fact of a STARE. Listen, I have no problem going with my son if the mistake was made that's not the case because before I found this out I have been going with him as family time. This was the first time I went without him because I'm here thinking I'm the main holder of the membership. The fact that I found out that is not the case and there's a mistake but then to get yelled at by an employee and spoken so terribly not to mention there were cuss words thrown at me. I felt embarrassed. I looked stupid. Over something that could've been said in a better tone and explained better. I love LA Fitness and I would hate to cancel my membership that I pay for not my son all because of this situation but there has to be consequences to his actions or he'll think it's okay to do it to others. He was comfortable yelling in my face who else will he do it to.

Complaint for mistreatment and harassment of a coach

My name is FABIANA BELLABARBA, my phone number is 610800****, I am a member of the LA FITNESS gym, from BROOKHAVEN, PA 4900 Edgmont Ave, Brookhaven, PA 19015 . I am writing to formally request the DISMISSAL of a gym trainer. The situation has already been unsustainable and it is not the first time that I have had problems with that coach and that he has yelled at me and disrespected me, but this time it just so happens that I was recording a video and I had the camera on and I recorded everything that happened . . This time I had gone to the coach area (which is always empty) empty, because I was going to record a video for my instagram page (@faki_bella), so I was only going to do one series. As soon as he saw me there, he started throwing me out of the area claiming that it was closed, which was not the case... but it's not the first time it's happened, because on one occasion he started yelling at me and laughing (because my Spanish is bad) taking me out from there screaming just because I was sitting. . The thing is that he sticks to my side, invading my personal space and stalking attitude, to which he told him to get away from me, because his perfume smell is strong and with my visible state of 8 months pregnant I His smell is unpleasant... to which he says he doesn't care! He keeps stalking and yelling at me. . It is noteworthy that I am a pregnant woman so I try to avoid stressful situations. I'm usually very calm and I don't usually socialize in the gym since I don't speak the language, but this has already been repeated times when she yells at me, throws me away, but this time she invaded my personal space and was with a visible attitude of harassment and stalking. . I do not intend to upload the video to social networks, since it is not my intention to discredit the image of the chain, since I always recommend this gym chain to my advisers in the USA because it is very complete, but actually it has already formally requested the dismissal of this coach for not being the first time and besides everything, I am a member of the gym, I am also pregnant for which I deserve respect and not only for that, also on the street outside the gym space this is considered abuse and foul of respect that could be denounced.

Poway LA Fitness Dress Code Changes

Hi there, my name is Ethan Detling and I am a member of the LA Fitness on Poway Road in Poway, California, and I have been for almost 2 years. During this time I have worn flannel cargo pants almost exclusively for the entire time I have been working out here, and have never had any staff member tell me that I could not wear them. Recently, this LA Fitness has hired a new manager who has told me I cannot wear these pants due to the dress code. I told him that I have never been told that before and to explain to me where in the dress code it says I could not wear them. He told me something about how if youre unsure of if you should wear them or not, then dont wear them. Thats kind of a vague and frankly ridiculous response as I have never had anyone talk to me about the clothes I am wearing and how they violate the dress code, after 2 years of being a member. The manager was rude and snarky with me and to be honest I feel kind of singled out. I recently suffered a pretty bad injury to my left arm leaving me unable to work out for several months. Im now trying to get back into working out and overcoming this injury, and its hard enough without being told that my manner of dress is not aligned with the dress code for no reason. I would simply like to talk to someone so we can resolve this issue, or at least I can get some verification that my manner of dress is wrong. Thank you, Ethan

The place is falling apart

I have gone to the LA Fitness gym in Naples,Fl for a couple of months now. I have found it disappointing in so many ways.. The place is looks good on the outside but is a dump on the inside. The cardio machines are dirty and RUSTING out. There is paper or wipes on the floor throughout the gym. The basketball courts are trashed daily. The locker and shower areas smell. The sauna room is disgusting. Members complain, but nothing changes. Gym management are not given the budget need for personnel hires. Or the laitude to make decisions. Upper management does not seem to care. Good luck and bring your own disinfectant.

Abusive client treatment

I have not been an active member since December of last year. I called to see what I need to do to cancel my membership. I was told I needed to come in and I did and signed a paper. Fast forward to May 2023 and I noticed charges from LA fitness. I called and was told the membership was never canceled. I asked who could fix this situation. The Kent, WA location instructed me to speak with Paul. Paul was out of town and I had been waiting for his return to help fix what LA fitness did. I called again today to see if Paul was in as my account was charged again. I have spoken to many people and given the same instructions to talk to Paul. I currently am in Hawaii as my father is dying from bone marrow cancer and is on hospice. I spoke to someone named Chris at the Kent, WA facility and was very upset that after all of this time I keep missing Paul and cant seem to get the issue solved. I raised my voice and he screamed back at me that both his parents died of cancer and that he didnt care about my sob story and that I am a terrible client trying to bully my way into getting my way. This man has not known of the situation with the constant back n forth and the financial stress of being charged for something I was told in person and over the phone was canceled. I have never been spoken to by someone in a customer service role in such an absolutely hateful manner. I am understandably upset about being told my membership was canceled, Im understandably upset over not being given the correct line of communication to solve the issue as Im sure there has to be someone beside Paul that could potentially help solve the problem. I felt explaining my circumstances to the one working the front desk or phone would help them have some understanding of the source of my stress and frustration. Instead of understanding I was yelled at and demeaned as a terrible client and had accusations made against me. I cannot believe how I was spoken to. As I have handled people under extreme duress due to personal circumstances and still having to sort through bills etc. The individual I asked what his name was and he said his name was Chris. I would like LA fitness to handle this properly by looking my account seeing I havent been active since December and refund what was taken out. I ask that LA fitness trains the individuals at the Kent, WA location on proper member canceling procedures as I was there in person and called over the phone to do what was needed to cancel on my end. I ask that LA fitness reviews the phone call if possible made between i and your service rep. I have the date and time this call was made for you to do an investigation.
