Terrible treatment by the store manager

My wife went into the Surfside S C store on Sat 5@5:15 pm and ordered the #5 super sub. When we got home the sub had 3 slices on meat and 3 slices of cheese NOTHING ELSE .. I called the manager immediately and stated what we found and he responded by saying she should have been paying attention to how her sandwich was being made and correct the employee. He said to bring the sandwich back and he will make another but l live 12 miles away so I suggested to take my membership number and credit my account or leave a note for the next days shift and I will come in to pick up the correct sandwich..He stated that none of that is going to happen and hug up .. Not a nice place .

Employee threading customer

An employee of Jersey Mikes in ooltewah, Tennessee posted on Facebook that he wanted to slam a customer face on the grill and hold it there for just asking for ketchup. Because he thought it was awful. Over reaction much???

Double charge

Ordered online, yet store never got the order. My card was charged. I had to reorder and pay again in order to get the sandwich. Was advised it would automatically be credited back. This was July 11th.

Unacceptable service

I encountered a disrespectful and arrogant worker by the name of Kenny Bunken. I placed an order via the app, for pick up. I then realized that I had no vehicle to pick up my order. I promptly called to cancel the order only to be met with arrogance, disrespect, sarcasm, unwillingness to help in any way that would be sufficient. I was told that a refund could not be issued. Then he told me that he would write a note for the later staff to make another order later on tonight when I could pick up. I asked if he could make another order why couldn't he just refund me? His sarcastic and condescending response was that it was already made and that they lost money on the order. Which of course makes no sense since making another order would incur more loss of money. He then got even more sarcastic and arrogant and said "fine, I'll just leave it here for you pick up later." I then asked to speak to the manager to which he spoke over me asking, and said she is not here and HE is the acting manager while she is not there. So I asked for his name to which he nastily told me, almost mimicking my voice inflection while saying his name. Then I asked for the managaers name, to which I got the same nasty type of speaking in response. I finally gave him another chance to try and rectify the situation, and he again sarcastically responded with the same answer. To which I told him I would then have to take action. I assure you that I am extremely disappointed in the disrespectful actions of this employee. I will be contacting the actual manager and I expect that I am FULLY REFUNDED for the meal I never received. I hope that this situation is not taken lightly as this type of arrogant behavior from somone who is to be acting as a manager at one of your stores is unacceptable. I am a business owner and I would be very upset if one of my clients were ever spoken to like that and not offered a suitable option to rectify the problem.

Wrong food and no resolution

went to location in latham, ny. about 6 pm. my wife and I ordered tuna giant and original italian, giant, he lleft about 5+ min. he said, "we don't have any more". he made my wifes... i said to him OK? and he ignored me, went onto next customer. I did tell him we both wanted rosemary/parm rolls. my wife did not get her roll and sub was made. i am standing there and he went on to the next couple in line, and I was totally ignored. wifes sub made with a reg. roll and was sitting there made, I don't mind paying almost $18 for giant subs, but Customer service was horrible and was left standing there because he did not have any more tuna and wasted much time wherever he went?like i dd not exist??? Maybe he did not like that I said you" did not ask me what kind of roll", ??? but he chose to use anything he wanted??? and my wife said her roll (not parm) as requested for both) was not fresh and was falling apart as she tried to eat it??? after a long ride looked forward to your recommeneded shop...

Unwarranted, insinuation and offensive reaction to said complaint.

To whom it may concern, My name is Mr. R. West First Responder and periodic patron of your location in Clinton, Maryland and on today July 3rd at approximately 6:10-6:15 pm, I noticed one of your employees (young African American female) sweeping the floor behind where the food is prepared, stop sweeping and handle one of your sub roles specifically by your cutting machine and return to her cleaning duties. Standing in line and having noticed what took place directly in front of me, I kindly and directly stepped forward and brought it to the attention of another one of your employees (young Hispanic gentleman with a stocky build with black hair) to advise and who happened to be making sandwiches at the time, that I noticed the young lady handling the bread after sweeping and failing to change her gloves, that it was not proper hygiene when dealing with food and that the piece of bread needed to be thrown away immediately. After my notification and whereas two other patrons noticed the young employees actions but did not say anything, I proceeded to wait line to give my final order request and when proceeding to pay, another one of your employees (young African American female with braids) attempted to advise me of my approach in regards to the matter in question and of which I took immediate offense too. The young lady proceeded to advise that I was screaming and whereas the young employee in question was made to feel uncomfortable and that I should have been more empathetic and sensitive being as though this was the young employees first job and because of feeling uncomfortable she did not want to come back out to work. To be frank and at this point I was extremely offended having someone insinuate that I had been rude to whatever degree and because of my candidness and being straight forward, only conferring as mentioned with the young gentleman in regards to what I saw transpire and at no time did I speak or intersect with anyone else and did indirectly say to another customer in line that what was witnessed is unacceptable in any food establishment, of which Im assuming was overheard. Still waiting to complete my payment transaction, I firmly and specifically advised the young lady at check out, that I will not apologize unequivocally for having noticed someone display unsanitary duties in the midst of food and food prep areas and as a fifty one year old respectful and one of the nicest men/gentleman that you will ever meet, continue to justify my approach of which was nothing more than being straight forward. To advise, Im married for twenty four years father of twin thirty two year old sons/professionals along with a nineteen year old daughter of whom is a college sophomore and as a consummate professional, parent and community member in regions of D.C. and P.G. County I am always empathetic in regards to the well being of our young people as a whole and to have someone of which is a young person themselves and not to disregard or discredit, but nevertheless question me about my approach of which again was nothing more than being straight forward, is highly offensive and unacceptable to say the least. Im requesting to speak with the appropriate person(s) and or liaison in regards to matter as soon as possible and or at your convenience. Thanks, Mr. R. West Respect and regard should be the eight and ninth virtues. Sent from my iPhone

Nasty worker and overpriced sandwich

The girl behind the counter was very rude. All she was worried about was going home. She took 3 peoples orders at the same time and got mad at me when she messed up the order. Only 1 person on the floor with 3 other employees in the store. Music blasting with curses. Definitely the last time I come to this location Then they proceeded to charge me 22 dollars for a cheese salami and pepperoni sandwich with charging me extra meat because what I asked for wasn't a number on the menu. Very unprofessional and rude all around. I really hope someone from corporate or the owner sees this and fires everyone in this store and starts over. Sincerely , Going to 7th Ave from now on

Rude employees over charging

The girl behind the counter was very rude. All she was worried about was going home. She took 3 peoples orders at the same time and got mad at me when she messed up the order. Only 1 person on the floor with 3 other employees in the store. Music blasting with curses. Definitely the last time I come to this location Then they proceeded to charge me over 20 dollars for an American cheese salami and pepperoni sandwich with charging me extra meat because what I asked for wasn't a number on the menu. Never once have i ever been chaeged that. She called the manager and the manager agreed. Very unprofessional and rude all around. I really hope someone from corporate or the owner sees this and fires everyone in this store and starts over. Sincerely , Going to 7th Ave from now on

Poor customer service

On 6/21/2023 I had this transaction happen. I had enough points from Jersey Mikes that = 15.99 that was for a large sub. I used those points for that large sub. Now, Jersey Mikes has a contract with DOORDASH delivery company. DOORDASH was supposed to deliver the sub to my residence at a price of $9.99 + $3.00 tip. The Door Dasher's name was Savanna, she never delivered my Sub. I was on the phone with DoorDash customer service when they contacted her, she admitted giving my sub to some other resident in the complex. The help desk confirmed this to me. DoorDash sent a refund ticket to Jersey Mikes a total of 3X times now, all 3 times I had to wait 48 hours each before talking with a representative of Jersey Mikes. The rep told me that it was DoorDash's error and therefor I was not getting refunded the money. I then went back to DoorDash and the cycle would start over again. The Ticket numbers are available upon request. Neither of the two businesses refunded me my money. I believe that DoorDash should have settled this long ago. It was their driver that failed miserably to do her Job! Now she sent me a quick text that I could not answer right away because I was indisposed at that moment with in three minutes I was able to respond to her request, I am in a wheelchair and suffer from Parkinson's Disease, so I still went to the parking lot, and she was nowhere, she never responded to my texts, and it was later that I found out she gave my order to just anyone she felt like giving it to. I want my money back, totaling 25.98 + mandatory tip of $3.00. Or I want my $9.99 + points back. As of 7/4/23 issue is still not resolved.

Complaint on a store manager

The Jersey Mike's 5073 located at 1550 Hwy 138E, Conyers, Ga has horrible customer service. The store manager was rude and totally unprofessional. I will never come back to this location ever!!! When I asked was the store manager, she replied that she was in the nasty the most rude tone!!! I've always brought sandwiches at Jersey Mike's and have always been treated with respect and dignity but at this location I was treated with disrespectful attitude from management. And over her talking me to her employee. I almost didn't buy the food as I was afraid they might had did something dangerous to my food. This is a very sad position to be in as an honest customer. They didn't even give my receipt, I had to ask for a receipt. Just horrible service all the way around!!!

Discrimination

Original review Jun 12, 2023
I was a patron at 35882 vandyke ,sterling heights ,MI i was the only patron waiting to order . Another patron walked in and walked right in front of me as though I am not standing there and the lady behind the counter started to proceed to take his order. Once I realized that he wasnt a door dasher I then said mam I was ahead of this person. She then proceeded to finish taking his order, then took my order. She then proceeded to make his sub order a head of mine and then cashed him out a head of me even though she was aware that I was ahead of him and she acknowledged that while taking our orders . This is discrimination . I then told the manager and she did nothing but take down my number.

Non-Profit Ripped Off

Dear Mr. Cancro, I am writing you this because one of your franchise owners is trying to steal money from a non-profit which I run. Here is the backstory. Last March Pavel Schroeder (Jersey Mikes at 6531 S. 27th Street, Franklin WI) reached out to me regarding a fundraising opportunity/partnership between Jersey Mikes and ROC Foundation. He explained to me the process which basically resulted in me distributing coupons throughout our community and fanbase. The coupon was for a free regular sub for a $3 donation in which all proceeds would go to ROC Foundation. The timeframe was May 18-22. Pavel also communicated that the redemption rate is around 75% plus all tips. ROC Foundation was established in 2019 and is the philanthropic arm of ROC Ventures. ROC Ventures owns many business entities including the Milwaukee Milkmen, Milwaukee Wave, Rock League Baseball, Umbrella Bar, Rock Sports Complex, Milky Way Drive, Hill Haye Eyes, just to name a few. Pavel dropped off 4,000 coupons. I gave 1,000 to the executive director of our school districts foundation. She had one placed in each of our 600 plus teachers mailboxes at all our schools throughout the district. She also had the remaining coupons placed at the high school office for students to pick up during the day. They were promoted during the daily public address announcement. A board member and I handed out the remaining coupons at our Milwaukee Milkmen games on May 13-18. In total I distributed nearly 4,000 coupons. Pavel told me that he handed out 1,000 to the surrounding businesses. Here is where everything goes south. I sent Pavel an email on June 30th inquiring about the status of the fundraiser. He never responded. I sent a follow up on July 19th which he finally responded and said he would talk with his accountant. Weeks went by and I never heard from him. I bumped into him at our grand opening of Luxe Golf on August 19th and that is where he told me that only 300 were redeemed and they had a very poor opening week. I told him that could not be the case and that I personally went in 4 times to get a sub and the place was packed. Each time I paid cash and put a couple dollars into the tip jar which always had a decent amount of money in it. The following week I engaged our senior corporate account manager Andrew Carr who in turn reached out to Pavel. I wanted to see a spreadsheet of all transactions for those 5 days. It took until October 10th for Pavel to provide a one-line response stating there were 250 coupons turned in. Here is how I see it. I believe Pavel and Jersey Mikes stole money from a non-profit. Lets say that only 4,500 coupons were distributed. A 75% redemption rate that would result in 3,375 coupons @ $3 and a donation to ROC Foundation for $10,125 plus tips. Pavel changed the total from 300 to 250 and no tips. That is a redemption rate of 5.5%. There is no way this is accurate, and I will not let this unethical business practice go unexposed. Besides being the Executive Director of ROC Foundation I am also a longtime elected official. I was an alderman in Franklin for 12 years and I am currently a Milwaukee County Supervisor who represents over 53,000 residents in Franklin and neighboring Oak Creek. I have a very good social media presence and following, and I will post what I am writing to you all over the many social media groups I am a member of. I have seen all the good non-profit work that you do in the community. Lately, not a day goes by when I dont see you on tv promoting your partnership with Feeding America. I am reaching out to you because I want to believe Jersey Mikes is a well-run organization. Unfortunately, you have a franchise owner who is a crook and willing to take advantage of non-profit organizations. A year has now passed. I hope that you will take the time to involve yourself in this situation. All My Best, Steve F. Taylor, Executive Director 414-759-****

Not happy with delivery

Ordered from your location on Pickett St in Alexandria Va. Told the gentleman that was there that the Door dash delivery driver never brought up my order. He told me there was nothing he could do & I had to get a hold of Door dash directly. I explained that I no longer have Door Dash for this exact reason. He said there was nothing he could do. I sent you a video of the conversation between the DD driver and myself. My neighbor spoke with the woman at the desk in my apt building and she said she told the driver to bring it up to the apt and he refused. I spoke with Door Dash and they said that the could only do a investigation but could not to anything for compensation. Because I pd y'all not them. I don't think this driver should get any kind of tip. I know it's not much, but it's the point that this is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and unacceptable behavior for someone in customer service. I have been working customer service my whole working career and would never do this to any customer. Please do the right thing.
