Complaint Regarding Late Arrival and Poor Customer Service

Dear JC Penney Photo Center, I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the recent experience I had with your company's customer service. On August 19th at 4:05 pm, I had scheduled an appointment for my daughter's 2nd birthday at the Wheaton, Maryland JC Penney Photo Center with my entire family and the props that we had broughtready to capture these beautiful moments. I am writing this letter to bring to your attention the tardy arrival of your representative and the subsequent poor customer service I received. I had eagerly anticipated the service after waiting for a full hour from her scheduled time of arrival at 5:05 pm, as it was important for me. I had allocated time from my busy schedule to accommodate the appointment. The scheduled time for the appointment was at 4:00 pm, and although we ran a bit late and arrived at 4:10 pm, I made sure to call to report our delay. Unfortunately, no one answered the phone, and no one reached out to us prior to the appointment to let us know about any potential changes. However, to my dismay, your representative (who claimed to be a manager of the photo center) arrived approximately at 5:10 pm, which is 70 minutes later than the scheduled time, with a rude attitude regarding the late policy. Despite there being no one present for the next appointment slot, she refused to take a photo of us. She seemed to take pleasure in giving us a hard time and displayed a significant level of ignorance. This delay not only disrupted my entire family's schedule, which involved a substantial amount of preparation ahead of time, but it also caused significant inconvenience. While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can lead to delays, I would have greatly appreciated proactive communication from your end to inform me about the delay and to provide a revised estimated time of arrival or even a phone call to explain the situation. Furthermore, when your representative did eventually arrive, there was a noticeable lack of professionalism and courtesy. Instead of acknowledging the delay and apologizing for the inconvenience caused, she appeared disinterested and unapologetic. This attitude only compounded my frustration, as I had expected a higher level of customer service from a reputable company such as yours. I want to emphasize that my intention in writing this letter is not solely to complain, but rather to bring attention to an issue that requires immediate addressing. As a customer, I place great importance on receiving timely and respectful service. When these expectations are not met, it undermines the trust I have in your company and significantly impacts my overall impression of your brand. I kindly request that you address these concerns promptly. It would be greatly appreciated if you could provide an explanation for the delay and the lack of communication, along with the steps you plan to take to ensure that such incidents do not recur. Additionally, I hope you will seriously consider implementing measures to enhance the training and professionalism of your representatives. I eagerly await a timely and satisfactory resolution to this matter.

Question

First I called for my sons 1 year memorial of his death which is August 21 to take family pictures at the gardens. I then call Friday to find out they scheduled me for in studio instead. Didnt offer to fix the issue just offered to schedule another day. Which I didnt want to do because my son passed on August 21,2022 and this is what I wanted for my family. So then they gave me a manger number and the number was incorrect it was a random persons number. Im just trying to let someone know about JCPenney poor customer service that I experienced.

Very rude and unprofessional !

i got there earlier than my appt time and was basically rushed to get me anf my family reafy for the photos. the lady was given us attitude and being very rude which was uncalled for. rolling her eyes everytime she asked a question and i replied. at that point i almost walked away from taking the photos. i regret even still taking the photos because i feel she overcharged me for what i came for. was told id even get a free 8X10 and nope i did not recieve it. i asked if i can just get digital photos anf she told me no i have to buy the expensive package for me to get it. im never coming back to jc penny photo because this is byfar the worst service ive had.she couldnt even get the baby to smile or laugh in the family photo so our pictures are not what i expected.

I have not receive my pictures. My family took a family portrait on Thursday, July 6,2023. Today is August 1st and I have not received my pictures.

The pictures were taken at your Vernon Hill store, Illinois. I called the store and it took them over a week to contact them. If I dont receive my pictures by the sixth of August I would like a refund.

Damaged photo frame delivered

The metal frame is defected . Its tilted inwards .The box was even damaged and the inside the metal frame too. I am really unhappy as its my family picture for which we all were excited to hang on wall as we had a party and when we opened and saw its damaged .the customer service number is not getting connected . I called the JCPENNEY office and they told to come . It looks they think we free for the hassle they created we have to waste time in going and then complaint and then come back .

I would like to retrieve a portrait

I have yet to receive my retrieved portrait. I was sent to a customer service company called Pissed Consumer, I would have liked to speak with someone directly.

Photos were not edited

Photos were not edited and many of the photos did not show my grandchildren's face. There was evidence that the photos were sent as is and not edited or touched up.

Unsatisfied with pictures

I visited the JCPenney in Fayetteville GA. The pictures were for my Son who'd just turned 1. No props were used. The photographer was dry and acted like she didn't want to be there. The pictures don't look professional. Unsatisfied.

Photo shoot service

I went Monday to schedule a maternity photoshoot for the weekend the girl said there was no opening beside 1 Saturday 1 for Sunday I went on website and there was so many opening then she told me to wait till next weekend. My appointment was canceled as I arrived because she was close,at 2pm, I guess this girl just doesn't like to work on her work hours so she lies, she rather let other coworkers work on there work schedule the should fire her for someone that really cares of great service!

As of today, June 26th, 2023, I have still not heard from JCPenney Portraits located in Columbus, Ohio on Lyra Rd. There has been no apology or refund through JCPenny.

I purchased the outdoor package for digital and 8 actual prints for $169. I am still waiting to receive my prints in the mail. My son's senior photos were taken April 29th! My credit card was billed the total amount. I was told to allow a week for processing. I have been calling the number provided by life touch and emailing since May 8th. No one ever answers the phone. You are prompted to "press 2 to speak with a representative" and then after pressing #2, you're told to visit a website for further help and the call is abruptly ended. No one at the JCPenny indoor location at Polaris Mall in Columbus, Ohio are of any help. They direct you to call a number that is never answered, and voicemail messages are never responded to. The employees are extremely rude and dismissive. No one has once expressed an apology for the inconvenience or delay. I've been cut off and talked over. At the time of me writing this review, I just ended a call with someone at the indoor mall location and was actually laughed at! At this point, I plan to contact my credit card company to dispute this charge for reversal of funds. NEVER, NEVER, EVER use JCPennny portraits (indoor or outdoor) for any of your needs. Instead of having a memorable experience with family and friends, you will walk away dealing with a headache and frustration from trying to receive your images, not in a timely manner, but period! My son graduates in less than a week, and I still don't have the images I paid for to share with family and friends at his party. This is THE worst service I've ever experienced of ANY kind of service provided!

Today the sale rep could not answer any questions

Photographer did not discuss options with us only background. She was told by mother & son Cap & Gown, it was also on schedule request. Only 2 photos was C&G but side view. We wanted full front showing everything. What was the purpose of taking a back shot? If his head was turned or looking back maybe. Solution was to have us reschedule or wait. 2 reps poor service, We should have been allowed to take the 1photo we wanted and the sale would have been completed.

Not received my pictures and my membership ( they’ve stolen my money )

Dear customer services, Ive been a loyal customer for more than 7 years , and I use JCPenney portraits once a week in every state when traveling for fashion work ?! One Saturday April 29,2023 I went to JCPenney portraits for fashion photos, the photographer named ( Casey) wont allowed me to change my clothes, and only spent for appointment 5 minutes, it was worst pictures , very rude , unprofessional photographer, she doesnt deserve to be a photographer, you can please read the customers reviews if youre really care about your business and customers, this completely illegal, and bad business practices ?! Shes completely unfit for the job , rude , unpleasant and very stressful to work with, she doesnt know how to use the camera?! As a model since age 4 , I have never seen or dealt with photography like JCPenney, its completely scams, and fraud that JCPenney portraits stealing money from customers for nothing?! # also the photographer named (Casey) she write my name and email 10 times wrong, Ive not received my pictures, and also paid for a membership, and Ive not received any information or details about my membership. Ive not received my pictures and my membership.?! Where is ethical and professional of business?! I paid $164.04 cents, and I have not received my pictures and No membership?! Its completely illegal that JCPenney portraits stealing my money for no reasons, no services and also causing me a lot of damages , and stress ?! Ive called the store more than 20 times , no response and the call go directly to a voicemail?! I went to their location at JCPenney portraits at 2230 Eastridge Loop , San Jose, CA 95122 , I went to this location three times, they told me their system is down?! And thats completely a lie because they help a few customers and nothing wrong with the system?! I need my full refund, Ill also file with my institution as fraud , + Ill file a few federal and state agencies against this criminal? Completely fraud

I pay $164.04and never received my pictures or membership?! Ive contacted jcpenny and life touch over 29 times , no solution?! Its crime, and illegal for poor customer services to send my pictures to a wrong emails, and taken my money without delivery?! Please file lawsuits against JCpenny portraits ?!

Service complaint

I had photos taken on Wednesday at your Joliet mall location. The photographer was not friendly what so ever. She had an attitude about my son crying. Her words were so whats his deal. At that point I decided we wouldnt include my son in our family shots and told her to move onto the photos of my newborn daughter. Once it was time for my daughters photos she was just super bossy. I literally said this isnt working and had to walk out because I started crying. I had my husband finish it off because I literally could not. The photos came out terrible. I am not at all happy with them. All you see is dry skin which you would think would be touched up. She looks dead in the photos where she has her eyes closed. The one picture I liked of my daughter the photographer failed to remove my daughters pink blanket. Captured weird faces of my husband with my daughter. Then I was charged Enhanced Upgrade for Digital Album for extra $39.99 that I was never informed about. Literal waste of $200 when I am not going to do anything with these photographs because I will just get pissed off all over again. I hope this lady does not ruin anyone else family photos or wastes their money. Now I have to pay more money to go else where and have a better experience to capture picture of my newborn daughter.
