My order

I had the worst customer service being on the phone for 1 plus hours just to process a return and reorder. I paid $109.45 for my items I am returning and this agent telling me I am being refunded $26 when I started getting upset then she said $93 still doesnt make sense to me and then when am irritated and asked for a manager then she give my my full refund and I still didnt get to speak to a manager

Missing 2 orders

Order was broken into 3 deliveries, 1 came no problem, 2-3 had wrong address and returned to JCPenney. I kept getting e-mails saying it was delayed, then said it was out for delivery (which it never was.) order was placed June 26 July 17found out it was being returned to shipper. Very unhappy with this whole order.

Defective product

I purchased Memorex Bluetooth Earbuds online. They won't take a charge so of course they don't work. Why should I pay $8.00 to send them back when they arrived defective? Any way that I could get some help on this?

My order NOT BEEN DELIVERED

I ordered some bedding from you back on 28th may 2023 and I still have NOT received it yet. I have been more than willing to deal with this but 1) the confirmation email I received has a fake email address to reply to. 2) I've been lied to by someone called grace at the company you shipped via for past 2 months nearly. I have now had enough I want ALL my money back or the bedding I paid for.

Poor customer service in store.

I've been a JC Penny shopper for many, many years. Recently we visited the location at Crossgates Mall in Albany and will never return. Apparently they like to pay their employees to stand around chatting instead of helping customers. We were trying to make a purchase but both check out counters were experiencing issues with customers. We noticed the 2 ladies at the jewelry counter were just standing and talking to each other. We asked one lady if she could check us out and she said no. We went and waited in line again but the line still wasn't moving. We went back to the 2 ladies at the jewelry counter who were still just chatting with each other and they said " it's store policy, we can't check you out here but you can try downstairs. " We go stairs and not a single employee in sight. Go back upstairs and tell the ladies at the jewelry counter that we're unhappy we can't get anyone to check us out and then they say "well if you really want those items I'll check you out" . Seriously??? 25 minutes of trying to find help after you refused twice and now you change your story?

Customer service sucks

Called numerous times to get a balance on a gift card. Got transferred numerous and disconnected as well. Complete waste of time. Was on phone almost an hour .

Return policy

I went to J.C. Penneys stone crest mall the managers lacked return policy procedures Marilyn arguing back and forth with customer when it clearly states in JCPenney return policy my sister didnt ask for refund but store credit on gift card this woman refunded the amount back to credit card these items were gifts purchased online then another male manager came and asked for social security to pull up card that was used I have never experienced such rude and disrespectful At retail for returning items almost felt like they were on some racial profiling on returning items that had a receipt Im just floored how these people treat paying customers DONT SPEND BLACK Dollars at JCPENNEY the pandemic didnt teach you no lessons well maybe GOD visit you all personally I rebuke Marilyn and her crew at JCPenney stone crest Uncle Toms in full effect no one should be asked for social security to shop An apology is due and proper etiquette in customer service is definitely needed I will call corporate and headquarters to let them know how ignorant you all are at JCPENNEY Stonecrest Georgia NEVER WILL I SHOP AT JCPENNEY eapecially if you have people like this in management

Why I'm No Longer A Penneys Customer

Today is the day I had it decided for me that J. C. Penneys doesn't need me as a patron any longer. I was treated with a total lack of respect that completely shocked me. I had ordered a cardigan online on March 12, 2023, to be delivered to my local store in Mentor, OH where I would pick it up. I had done this type of transaction before. I paid for the order with my PayPal account. I waited for two weeks before being notified that my order was cancelled. Not why it was cancelled. Simply that it was cancelled. I was offered a gift card in lieu of a refund, which I declined. I needed a cardigan, and I was going to have to look elsewhere for one. This was March 26, 2023. Fast forward to April 10, 2023. Another two weeks have passed with still no sign of a refund. What is the reason for the delay? I called the toll-free customer service number and was told by a helpful rep it takes ten to fourteen business days to process a refund. (It sure doesn't take that long to process a payment.) I was assured that I would have my refund by next week, which happened to be today. Guess what? I didn't. I made my second call to your toll-free number. This time the call was answered by a man with a heavy Spanish accent. Unfortunately, I didn't get his name because I didn't want to speak to a regular representative this time. I wanted to speak to a supervisor. But of course, I wasn't going to be permitted to speak to a supervisor without first telling the front-line rep what my issue was. I'm in customer service also. I know how it works. I also know that after the customer explains the problem, the best thing to do is to put a supervisor on the line unless you, as a front-line rep, have the authority to do what the customer is asking. In my case, I was asking for an immediate refund. No more dawdling around and making excuses. Just process my refund right now and let me move on with my life. This guy, however, makes it his mission to insist that I have to call PayPal because *they're* the ones who are withholding my refund, not Penneys. I've never heard of such a cockamamie thing. PayPal processes and distributes payments to clients such as J.C. Penney. They don't get involved with refunds unless there is a dispute of some sort. He talked over me repeatedly and absolutely, positively REFUSED to allow me to speak to a superior because I hadn't been a good little girl and called PayPal first. I asked him incredulously if he was refusing to transfer my call and he confirmed that he was. I then told him I would never shop with Penney's again. He told me goodbye and hung up on me! So there you have it. I did get my refund from PayPal. Not because they were withholding my refund, but because they have a buyer protection policy. Penneys hadn't sent me the merchandise I had paid for so PayPal refunded my money. That opened an investigation to find out if Penneys is following the agreement they have with PayPal and if not, that agreement may be ended. That's why you lost a customer of over 50 years today. I'll also be telling my friends about this experience as well.

WHAT NO MORE SAINT JOHNS BAY JEANS??

I went to JC Penney today to purchase my favorite St Johns Bay jean and much to my surprise they discontinued them..so I came home and went online to check and the ONLY ones featured were "out of stock"..The only thing that ever brought me into that store was those jeans and I'd shop along the way...not anymore. I am so angry because it took me years to find jeans that fit me like that and now they're gone. It's not just me..there are several friends that I turned on to them that LOVE them. Had I known I would have stocked up..What were they thinking?? Guess they weren't..Thanks Penneys'!

What happened to Cabin Creek pants?!?!

I am beyond devastated that JCPenney has discontinued their line of Cabin Creek pants! I have been wearing their twill and corduroy pants for 25-30 years, and am absolutely beside myself wondering what I will do now for pants. They fit well, are extremely comfortable, and looked professional at work (teaching) and casual enough for weekends and around the house. I seriously have no idea what I will order now, and am angry enough to cancel my Penney's charge account. I cannot be the only woman who feels this way, since I believe they were a popular item. I realize that most companies are trying to appeal to younger shoppers, but you are making a BIG MISTAKE ... there are a lot of us baby boomers around with money to spend on products we like!! In case you have been living under a rock, by the way, there are more of us boomers than any younger mini generation, so why would you want to lose all of us as customers? I have been a loyal Penney's shopper since I was a teen myself, but I am extremely disappointed that my absolute favorite product has been discontinued. I have already spent hours online trying desperately to find corduroy pants that are similar to Cabin Creek, and have had no luck yet. I would gladly do a free commercial for JCPenney, jumping for joy at the return of Cabin Creek pants!!
