Terrible customer service !

I have been trying to reach you for days. A gift i ordered & you shipped fed ex has been delivered to the wrong address. I contacted fed ex & its been over 48 hrs & no help. My order # 44108****. I know fed ex tracks their trucks so cant imagine they dont know where driver left package. Ikea states they value their customer but not my experience- you make it impossible to reach you unless ti buy something!

Disposable furniture

Wardrobe fell apart during move. Ikea staff said they are not designed to move. Would not replace the broken parts. IKEA products are garbage

Extremely Poor customer Service

Timely delivery for products , great return policy but on paper. It's been 3 weeks, a return pickup has not been completed. AlI i have been doing since past 3 weeks week is calling up the call center to get the pickup scheduled, they would only give me a slot during weekdays , i take day off from work - no one shows up and marks pickup failed as customer not at home. This has been happening on repeat. It has become a pain to chase them, call center has no clue on what's happening, they try to reach out the store but can't contact them. Feels like they want me to give up on the chase and let go of return & refund. Eventually the return window will close and the only option i will have is to keep the product.

Product left at store

I left some product at the Centennial store. I live over an hour away and I just wanted to be able to call the store to see if they found it. I had to call the 800 number and was on hold for ever and never did speak to a human.

Lack of helpfulness

I bought a DETOLF display cabinet. The cabinet has 3 large panes of glass that are joined together by long channeled plastic strips. The instructions for the side pieces direct to simply put the side pane into the channel on an angle, and slide it in. That doesnt work. The plastic channel at the bottom of side glass binds with the plastic side channel. I called IKEA for help in how to do this task and was directed to a 3rd party service that I would have to pay to do this for me, only I wasnt told by IKEA that this is a for hire service. Ridiculous

Missing parts of a lamp I purchased from IKEA

Opened the box the lamp came in and was missing a major component of the lamp. Tried calling customer service and was placed on hold for a long time but no one answered.

Lack of support

We purchased a Tarva platform bed. The bolts,part # 117327, do not fit. In spite of numerous tries I can not get any help from Ikea. No customer support what so ever.

Raw poisoning

Raw fish and food poisoning. We went to the cafe. Dirty cutlery and cold plate, and raw and cold fish and chips. Dirty filthy tables. You clean and clear yourself .

Pick up

Waiting for a pick up and no email in the interim. I order the first time and receive the wrong color furniture, the second was damaged. And now Ive been eating days for a confirmation on pick up for a refund.

Ikea warranty is bogus

I purchased my sectional as a set in 2019 (order # 33973****) for approximately $2,200. I picked this couch mainly due to the reviews, and the warranty. I have always been very pleased with Ikea products and was more than happy to welcome yet another Ikea piece into my home. I am usually really diligent with saving documentation and so I saved a copy of my original purchase receipt along with the original warranty document (attached) in case anything were to happen in the future. Earlier this year I noticed that the stitching on one of the cushions was coming undone, I called the customer service number which instructed me to bring the affected parts to the store for evaluation; as comical as it may sound, I grabbed affected piece off the sectional and took it to the store. I spoke with store associate Irma, she confirmed this would be covered by the warranty and indicated that the couch was discontinued and there was no appropriate replacement available in stock and to reach back out when there was one and the store would arrange to pick up the item, and later deliver a replacement or offer a refund to the original payment method if that was our preference. I mentioned to Irma that if at all possible we'd like a replacement of the Morabo couch with one chaise, and a refund or store credit for the additional chaise. She said she'd discuss it with her manager and follow back up. In the last few weeks the item became available again and Irma and I connected again, she indicated that her supervisor would be able to replace the original landskrona 2-chaise couch with the morabo 1-chaise couch that I had indicated, but provide no refund. This made little to no sense to me, as an appropriate replacement would be an equivalent 2-chaise sectional, and the proposed replacement is a smaller 1-chaise sectional. Irma indicated that she did not have the authority to make another decision so I asked to speak to her supervisor to discuss and resolve, he called shortly thereafter. My hopes for a quick, reasonable and fair resolution to this matter quickly faded after a few minutes of chatting with Matt (refused to provide last name). He indicated that he would only be able to replace the couch portion of this 2-chaise sectional that I had purchased as a set. When I pushed back on this, as it made no sense, he offered a "no receipt return" for the two chaises as a "courtesy" at the lowest price in the last 365 days, but that would leave me paying an additional $500 out of pocket to replace the exact same couch that I had already bought which I am only asking to be replaced due to workmanship issues at no fault of my own. I referred Matt to the warranty which expressly indicates that "If the item is no longer sold by IKEA, IKEA will provide an appropriate replacement", to which he countered with the fact that since each portion of my sectional has a different item number, he would only be able to replace the couch portion but not the chaises. This would leave me with two discontinued landskrona chaises of questionable compatibility with the proposed new morabo couch in addition to the fact that the color on the chaises would not match since the color of the leather patinas with time and use and it would be an eyesore in my home. Contacted corporate customer service and CC'd the North American CEO and Global CEO; was told that "We deem an appropriate replacement as a selection that is of the same value or of lesser value. Which is at IKEA sole discretion to make this determination." leaving me to pay additional charges to have an exact like-for-like replacement of a couch that broke to no fault of my own. This makes liars out of Ikea Marketing and I will never go to ikea again; the meatballs are terrible anyway and should come with marital counseling included!
