If I could give this company a Zero I would

Where do I begin with this horrible company, so I own my 2017 Hyundai Tucson forever? Nonstop problems with this vehicle, my engine blew up on the highway then on July 6th, 2023 my Hyundai was broken into, stolen, and damaged due to the anti-theft issue. I went to the Hyundai dealership in Janesville, Wisconsin all the people are rude and disrespectful and had me waiting lying saying my car was safe to drive when a noise was coming from the tire. I will never get another Hyundai in my lifetime. They owe me 4,255 worth of money for the damages on my car and my insurance went up because this unprofessional company.

Only the dealer honors any warranty - No help from Corporate

one end of exhaust pipe (nearest the muffler) broke at the weld next to flange mounting bracket. Local Hyundai refused to acknowledge the break. Determined someone tried to steal parts. There is no evidence of cut. Also no evidence of weld at that connection. All other points along the exhaust had been properly welded. Called corporate office. Got claim number from corporate. They called to say that the dealer determines warranty repair. What a disappointment! We love the SUV. It's our second Tuscan and now our second dealer.

Problems with Bluelink

Original review Jun 08, 2023
Have been battling Hyundai for over two weeks to have my Bluelink password reset after it locked me out of my account. The website will not let me reset it because it keeps telling me that the link is not available after I finish all the required steps. Called customer service only to be told a tech will call you within 7 business days with a solution. Im sorry but I need it reset now! Why can this not be done over the phone? I would like to be able to use the app so I can see the status of my vehicle and check its location when need be. I am currently at home, worried out of my mind because I cannot reach my loved one that is using my vehicle and I cannot see the location of the vehicle to make sure they are okay

Case Management # 2146****

Im starting to become discouraged. I got my car back for the second time last Friday, June 2, 2023. On the next day, June 3, 2023, the same issue presented itself again for the 3rd time. Yesterday, June 5, 2023, I took my car back. I went to the dealership first and really expressed my feelings of discouragement. I just hope theyre not taking me for a ride so that my lemon law warranty expires. I was then asked to please take the car in one more time as the lemon law warranty requires at least 3 times. I was told since they have record that my having the same issue at least twice, I should take it in again for the 3rd time. If the same happens yet again they have to start this lemon law process. Theyve issued me another loaner. Now Im at this point I really dont want the car and would rather be swapped into another car of equal value or better. Thanks for your attention to this matter.

Worst customer service ever

I moved to another state. needed a copy of the title to bring to the police station for a vin check. could not register the car without the vin check. Hyundai was not helping at all. told me to go to the dmv. the dmv would not give a copy of the title to me because it was a lease. called Hyundai. spoke to several different people who said they would email me a copy. they did not. after the third time of checking on the copy I was told that they could not email it to me and my option was to go to my original state (5 states away) or keep the car parked. If I could get out of this lease right now I would. Buyer beware. awful company. Also the check engine comes on and off. Every hyundai service center has basically laughed at me when I try to get it fixed. NEVER AGAIN WILL I DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

Will not honor warranty

Updated by user Apr 18, 2023
I spoke with the service director in person, then emailed her after she failed to call me when she said she would. She then called me to say they were not fixing it. I have also emailed General Manager who has not responded to my email.

I had my first oil change, but shortly after the engine experienced a failure, and now they are not wanting to fix it. I opened a case with Hyundai and after two weeks the lady called me and said it was not my fault but the dealer (Capitol Hyundai in Montgomery, AL) is an independent dealer and Hyundai can't do anything if the dealer doesn't want to fix it. I have never dealt with anything like this and at this point do want anything to do with Hyundai or Kia.

Hyundais are lemons

If you like throwing away thousands of dollars than buy yourself a Hyundai. Nothing but trouble out of my five year old vehicle. Just now at 100,000 miles and already needs a new engine. These are expensive throwaway cars. Dont waste your time or money. Horrible company.

Hey what's up? I got one big complaint so get ready for Lithia Hyundai of Anchorage. So our car was nearly a little bit over a month. We had it like say maybe two months and with a brand new engine that got that was a replace engine from Hyundai motors of America under their warranty. The shop declined me us of service huh? Why would you decline somebody of service when you just got paid bookoo books from honeymooners of America to replace that engine and that recall on that vehicle? Who cares if our emotions are ramped up, we are the consumer. Where is your customer service. There's things still wrong with the car but it but it's now the next year. We got the car back in December 17th. Was in the shop for 7 months already. No rental car. Not even a courtesy call and what would a dealership give me a hard drive with somebody else's credit report on it? Not mine makes me wonder.. (Lithia Hyundai and Kia of Anchorage used cars only) PS. Lemon law is only for new vehicles bought from dealerships. Not for used little food for thought

Extremely disappointed in the service that hyundai provides consumers.

I have taken vehicle to Ontario, Ca twice now because the safety features continually malfunction. I cannot use the cruse control because it keeps showing feature is "blocked" and the vehicle reduces the speed when I am on the freeway with traffic. I first took the car in to Ontario on December 22, my appointment was at 9am. It was not until 530 pm that the call came that the car was ready for pick up. They made some adjustments, but wasn't sure if problem was solved. IT WAS NOT. I took car back on Ontario Jan 26, appointment was at 9:15am. After driving an hour to get there, I was told they would not get to even dianoise it until 5 pm. WHY MAKE AN APPOINTMENT !!! I cannot live at Ontario Hyundai, awaiting them to get around to fix the problem. They would not give me a loaner nor offer a Lyft back to my home Gee, I could get a lyft to to local mall. Yippee! I Called Hyundai America, filed a complaint, the response was "can I schedule another appointment for you?"

Emgine failure

Don't buy KIAs! My car had complete engine failure. There customer service is the worse. They approved warranty because I had all maintenance receipts and original owner but no ETA. No loaner provided, rental fees are a joke! They pay you when they feel like it!

Hyundai Finance has the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

After more than six months of trying to get Hyundai Finance to send the security interest filing document to the Washington DMV as part of a state-to-state title transfer so that my son could get his new registration and tags we finally gave up and ended up paying off the entire loan so we no longer had to deal with Hyundai. Calls to their customer service are actually answered but the people who you initially deal with have extremely limited ability to answer any questions and even when they transfer you to one of their "special agents" those people will tell you they can only submit requests to their title department via email--they are not able to call them directly--nor are you. If that were not ridiculous enough, every request from you is answered with "that will take 5-7 business days". That is the response even when they don't execute on something they already said they would do--like sending a document to your DMV. They even said that they called the Washington DC DMV and were told that the title was not there, even though the Washington DC DMV showed it to me several times when I went to get temporary registration and tags while waiting for the security interest filing document from Hyundai Finance. Looking at other consumer complaints in various forums I see that this is a rather common occurrence with Hyundai Finance. Needless to say I would never again use them as the finance company for any auto loan. They are by far the worst I have ever experienced.

Fraud/Scam service and mechanics

I paid over $18,000 in December last year for my car that now needs a TOTAL engine replacement due to a faulty crank shaft. Rather than taking the casting # off the crank shaft as they were told by CORPORATE to do in order to confirm it was covered under recall they instead said they didnt even know how to do that (lmao but youre a certified mechanic?) and instead they went by the VIN# (incorrectly; we were told by corporate they had to take the crank shaft casting # to verify the issue which they never did) so they could claim it wasnt covered and proceed to tell me it would be $14,000 for a new engine and so they could make money off of an issue they know but refuse to admit is covered under the recall. An engine Hyundai specifically has issued a recall for. Same make, same model, same year. After having my car for three weeks they gave me the estimate for repairs citing simply it needed a new engine. No documentation of proof of the issue or anything. Little do they know we took it to a reputable mechanic PRIOR to taking it to the dealership who has already confirmed the issue as the same one currently under recall. When I have an outside mechanic take the casting number Kennesaw Hyundai claimed they could not use it to verify it was covered by the recall because it HAD to be their own mechanic who verified it. Their own mechanics who refuse/claim they do not know how to take the casting number off the crank shaft convenient. If you look at their most recent reviews on Google and every other site you will see there are dozens of one and two star reviews from people with similar issues. Its very evident that their mechanics are purposefully lying and manipulating customers in order to make a profit off of them. There are reports of them giving people a cost for repairs with ZERO information as to what the issues were. There are also reports of people who were told there were issues with their cars that werent present when they brought them in that suddenly were going to cost thousands in repairs. Hyundai that is FRAUD and your service and mechanics team at this dealership is just a bunch of scammers. Your mechanics lying to customers in order to make money off of them? With no documentation of the issues/no confirmation of them. Really? The same mechanics who refuse to follow protocol/procedure by refusing to take the casting # stand to make THOUSANDS off of me and the other customers they are blatantly lying to. They purposefully fail to communicate to customers (as cited in multiple reviews/complaints) in order to make you feel helpless and so that they can fail to escalate the issue. They simply do NOT want to do their jobs properly when they can just lie to and manipulate people who dont know any better into paying hundreds if not thousands for repairs that either werent needed when they took their cars in or are conveniently not covered under warranty/recall. They have made it impossible to get through to anyone who does their job properly because they do not want to resolve the issues. They just want to keep scamming people out of money. This dealership has been getting away with this for clearly years because people either dont know any better, theyve provided us with ZERO recourse for escalation, or because they blatantly ignore procedure and lie about it so they dont have to do any work out of pocket. Why would they verify my engine would be replaced under recall when they can just lie about it and then make thousands of dollars off of me bc they think I dont know any better.
