Employee being rude

My husband and I were at Grimes Hy-Vee. Used the self check out. There was an issue with our card not being read. My husband saw an employee and called her over. With attitude she stated theres a button for that. We figured out the issue on our own. Employee was rude and disrespectful. I as a white women married to a black man felt this was a racial situation.

I like Hyvee but some aspects are not so good. I like the food but at the same time some employees are not very nice and dont like there job

Dissatisfied

The ways you did a buy 2 get 2 free sale. I am married to a Nigerian wife that doesn't understand so I lost money. Not fair to me or to us!

Upset over manual EBT transaction denied ability to purchase $111 of groceries.

Yes I was in Hy-Vee council bluffs at 2323 West Broadway last Thursday and I have been using a manual EBT transaction here at this hyvee. All the managers that have been working here for the past year no me and always come up to approve the manual EBT transaction several times at least three four maybe five times a month for the last year. And on last week I was not allowed to purchase my groceries that I had using a manual EBT transaction because my card has been lost and I have not had a card for over the past year I have my numbers memorized and I have my PIN number obviously it's not like I'm using a credit card or a debit card without the card present no I'm using my EBT card. All of your employees and management at this location have allowed me to do manual EBT transaction without the card present for the past year. Last week when I was in I had over a little over $111 worth of groceries some of the items in my cart with clearance chocolate about $26 worth of clearance lindor truffles and I had shrimp and salads and everything fresh food cuz I had went all month long without my food stamps to begin with so I was really hungry and had a cart full. And was denied the ability to purchase my food I informed them that I thought it was ridiculous but they let people walk out of the store with cart full of groceries without ever arresting them or prosecuting them. I was not allowed to purchase my groceries not even one last time. I thought it was ridiculous I even offered to show them a picture of one of the persons has walked out of your store with Parks full of groceries several times if I could just purchase my food. And they would not work with me give me any leeway give me one chance or let me use my card at all that day and then I would call and order a new one I'm homeless I live outside at the River camping and I make my food stamps stretch that is why I have not ordered a new card yet because I make them last to me as much as I can so that I don't go without food. I was very upset crying they suspended my transaction but still did not help me at customer service I was still denied the ability to purchase my food or anything I even heard one of the cashiers telling another cashier that she felt bad because she couldn't pay for my groceries for me otherwise she would have and I just thought that I should let you guys know that I found it very disturbing rude upsetting and very non-compassionate. It was the worst service I've ever had at Hy-Vee in my entire 39-year-old life. I prefer to think that Hy-Vee has always been a good grocery store for me with their sweet clearance deals they're exceptionable meat and produce options. But now I'm very much so considering not shopping here again. Also I have even posted how I felt right away I went on live Facebook with a video expressing my hurt and upsetness with the lack of compassion at your store here that day if you would like to give me a call my name is Brianna legge my phone number is 402-284-**** or you can also email me or send me a text message if I do not answer your call thank you so much for your consideration time and the I appreciate your reading of my message God bless you and hopefully I don't have any other bad experiences with Hy-Vee because I honestly would hate to stop shopping here. Unsatisfied customer

I went to the HyVee on Rice Rd in Lees Summit, Missouri yesterday, June 13,2023. They advertised a Taco Bundle for $10. I asked 8 different Employees where I could find this Taco bundle and was sent in 8 different directions and never did find the bundle deal advertised. I gave up and went to checkout my other groceries. The cashier asked if I found everything okay and I said actually no I had not. It was obvious that she really didnt care that I hadnt. I explained my situation to her. I am a 72 year old woman and I recently had a tumor removed from my brain, making walking all over your store to find this special difficult. I never felt that any employee in your store cared enough to actually provide customer service! In fact, the cashier informed me that she was just a cashier and couldnt help me! I told her that I was just a customer that purchased groceries, that helped pay her pay check! I talked to two different managers that said I needed to go pick up each item in the bundle deal from wherever they were in the store. Not one person offered to do this for me. Needless to say, I left the store out of frustration and will not return. The only thing I felt about your slogan,A friendly smile in every isle, was that I was being laughed at for expecting anyone to actually provide customer service!

One Checker Checkout lane open. Half of the Self-Checkout lanes open

Thursday evening. 14 people deep in the checkout line of the adult beverages wing of the store, one checker. 7 people deep in the checkout line of the grocery store, one checker. 6 people deep in the self-checkout lines of the grocery store, 2 lines with customers flashing red, no customer service person anywhere in sight to assist.

No problems all was fixed and we are super happy,we love Hy Vee .We shop in are local store and so must of our family

Terrible Service and product

They put out old fruits and the price are not match nor correct when you get to the register. They need an inspection because you can see right in the back the cut the meat and fruit in the same unsanitary area. The manager is last and rude just like their employees.

Employee complaint

My complaint is that I'm a senior citizen consider myself a baby boomer somebody who's lived life I don't need to hear from one of your employees the clerk that I had the bad experience with the Hy-Vee's spirits and wine on Randolph and mineral point the employee's name was Murphy I don't need to hear anything that he says about being anti-police defund police is what I want to know is why are your employees putting themselves in that situation they are clueless and for that from now on I will never shop in hv vee's your employees should be just focused on taking care of the customer not hearing about their opinions leave it at the door? again I moved from Illinois 14 years ago and I've been shopping at hyvee's I will no longer shop at hyvee have a good day.

Difficulty in determining weekly sales.

HyVee used to send weekly advertising flyers in the mail, but now they rely on their website. This website is difficult to navigate and especially so when compared to their competitors, where it is two clicks and you are there. Consequently, I do not shop there any longer.

Poor out of date product management

There is no reason to visit a store, identify out of date premium cheese, point it out to an associate, then find the same product on the shelf 2 days later. Then after complaining to the store personnel, they angrily throw it away and say Here, it is in the trash, what do you want me to do next? The best answer is, I apologize this was not handled properly before, we will strive to see this does not happen again. Aftermath, corporate revoked my fuel rewards and thus lost a 30 year customer, and many more come.

Rude Manager of catering so he said

This was the first time against my better judgement to order our Christmas Dinner from HyVee. My Daughter-in-Law did a great job ordering and we were happy with the side dishes but the Prime Rib wasn't worth the money. At one end of the Prime Rib there was 2 1/2 to 3 inches of FAT and at the other end it was about 1 inch. The meat itself was NOT the best we have had. I stopped at the store in Davenport at Northgate, Eastern and Kimberly on Saturday December 31, 2022 and spoke with someone from catering. The gentlemen said he would look into it to see if anything could be done and call me back Monday or Tuesday of the New Year. Never received a call so I went to the store today (January 6, 2023) to get information. Sorry no name but the person said he was THE CATERING MANAGER, and nothing could be done. I tried to tell him I didn't appreciate paying for fat and again all he would say is we don't do anything about that. He is the first Manager I have ever spoke with at that store that was so rude. I told him about a friend that went to a different HyVee and the manager there always helps her and in 2021 she had a bad roast and he gave her the total money of $169 in meat. I was only asking for some compensation for all the fat. The more he talked, the more upset I got and never again as long as he is the Manager will I order from that store. I was only thinking maybe he would offer $5- $10 for the problem, but he never asked what I was considering just kept saying we do nothing for problems with dinners. I wonder if I will receive a reply from my e-mail or if it will be a form letter. He wasn't a good representative of a Smile in Every Aisle, all he did was upset an 82-year-old lady. I can't give my order number because the gentleman last year kept my copy of the order information, as I said my Daughter-in-law order online from Wisconsin.

Service of rude Manager of catering at Northgate HyVee

Poor customer service

I live in Plattsmouth NE. and the only store left is HY-VEE Store # 1527 today 9/15/22 at 04.41 Pm I was checking out and had to correct several prices that charge me more, and when I was telling the clerk she said its a new system and we been having problems, so I said that not right so she call the front supervisor up and I told him that I was not happy this is happening and if the customer doesn't catch is the customer is getting screwed!! And when we got the prices right on my items I was buying there was no Fule Saver points or any recondition that my card was scanned! So the Front supervisor called the Customer service supervisor and told her about it I was to by her that we just installed a new system and we will experience problems. I said that I understand but was there any training on this new system? and what about Then she interrupted me in mid sentence to say this is a new system, I asked about the fule savers not being acknowledge, She said that we are working through the problems. As a customer and being a senior citizen I was brought up to respect you elders and not to interrupt them when asking a value point or question. Very disappointing to have to shop under these circumstances and I may have to drive in tho Bellevue to shop there. Horrible Pizza

I try to give your your homemade pizza from the Italian eatery another shot. Unfortunately, it still taste like a 3 dollar frozen pizza! If I am spending over 12 dollars for a pizza it should have some flavor! Your sauce and crust are dreadful! Toppings and cheese are good so I will not argue that! You really need some flavor!
