Cannot use my gift card

Original review Sep 04, 2023
A friend purchased a Hotels.com giftcard from Tesco for my birthday in April. I opened the giftcard yesterday in order to redeem it against a hotel booking. Unfortunately, the PIN is illegible because the paper is damaged. The CARD NO is 989618****56437**** VALUE £20 Can you please supply a replacement PIN or giftcard. Kind regards. I tried calling Hotel.com Customer Service bu they told me there was nothing they could do and suggested I contact Tesco. I did and guess what they said I need to call Hotel.com Customer Service!!!

Double charged for a booking

I was charged twice for the same booking. Once by Hotels.com and a second time by the hotel itself. Neither wants to give me a refund! The hotel was Sunset Inn-John Day, OR.

Its not good hotell

I booked a room at an a&o hotel in Denmark and this room is not the same as the one I booked. This is dirty and small. The room on the site is clean and large, and it has a wardrobe, chairs and a table. I want my money back and I do not want to stay in this hotel because children are not accepted to stay in this room. In addition, the blessing was written free, and when we came here, they said, The blessing is full. This thing is unreasonable, and I hope that you will answer me as soon as possible, with sincere thanks to you in advance

Hotels.com and Hotel-Hampton Inn North Martle Beach-Harbourgate horrible customer service.

I did booking via Hotels.com, it was confirmed, I paid in full, when I arrived at the Hotel-Hampton Inn North Martle Beach-Harbourgate on July 15th after 7hour drive from Atlanta, I was told my booking was cancelled by the Hotel front desk reception. At 1 a.m. in the morning I was stranded with no room and tired 11-year-old son. It took Hotels.com 2 hours (3a.m) to get me a different hotel which I had to pay all by myself again, I was told Hotels.com will reimburse me the difference amount. All the waiting in hotel lobby listening to the hold music was horrible experience.

Terrible experience.

Original review Jul 15, 2023
There was false advertisement on their website. The website stated there was a gym and a pool on the premises. Both of these amenities were no longer available when I checked in. As a result, I had to pay $10 a day to use a nearby local gym. I specifically requested a non-smoking room. Unfortunately, that's not what I was given. The stench and smoke of cigarettes was in the hallways along with my room. In addition, the room I was staying in had mold on the walls and lamp shades along with fleas on the bed. Since then, I have been experiencing some respiratory issues as a result of the mold. When I asked for a credit/refund this is the reply I received: "You have contacted us about your stay on . The hotel has advised they will only honor the original cancellation policy and have declined your refund request. We know this is disappointing. We always try to advocate for flexibility for our travelers, but properties often have strict rules and restrictions around their bookings." Trying to get a live person to discuss these issues took over a day. There automated system is a joke. This has been my worst experience dealing with a booking/reservation website. Never again!

Blythe CA Days Inn

My reservation was for 6/26/2023. I was given room 220. Unfortunately, the bathtub was horrendously filthy. The tub drain cap seems to be covered with mold and the tub surface is clearly filthy. Informing the front desk person, she apologized and gave me room 225. This room has dozens of dead bugs on the nightstand between the beds and one of the beds. The room also has a filthy tub. I informed the attendant I would not be staying at this establishment. She of course gave me the line I cant issue a refund. That is up to management. She gave this Days Inns business card with the alleged owners names on it: Mike Pandya and Roger Joshi. The phone number is the front desk to the hotel, so it is of no value in actually contacting them. The email address was a Gmail address, so who knows if they ever even check it. I cordially sent them an email the evening of the 26th informing them of the situation. As you can imagine, I have not heard a word. Even though Hotels.com gave their standard non-refundable contract *** at the time of this reservation, this beyond-the-pale experience merits a full refund of my money and not some pallid attempt at restitution for this pathetic breakdown in quality standards of the Wyndham Company by throwing Wyndham points my way. These points no doubt will have a 6-18 month clock on them. Plus, get this, to accept the points, I have to open a rewards account with them only further entangling myself to do business with Wyndham. What a cluster. It is disingenuous to attempt restitution by tying me to necessary continued business interaction with the offender in the first place. Stop hiding behind your legalese Wyndham and Hotels.com. Luckily, the Quality Inn down the street lived up to its name. It is a world apart from this shack of a Days Inn. This is a zero-star review. Many of the features on Hotels.com website such as accessing a receipt or leaving feedback don't work. Also Hotels.com is nearly impossible to reach in a timely fashion. They have no phone numbers listed on their website. I had to find the phone number on pissedconsumer.com. When you call Hotels.com's phone number, it shows on my phone they are listed as Yukon Pines Cabins.

Bad stay

Place was not up to standards. When checked in cost an extra 3 dollars a night after already paying. Walk it to the room trash left in the cans from a previous guest, bugs in bathroom light, toys left next to one of the beds. Smoked Marijuana joint on floor, gum on bed skirting, water bottle and nut shells under the air conditioning unit. Not a pleasant stay will never use their services again. I will definitely be staying somewhere else next time

Resolved: Customer Complaint/Rebuttal to Verbal Altercation

This was not resolved.

Mr Carlos Mendez. As a manager your behavior out in the parking lot was uncalled for and totally unprofessional. You are not perfect sir and neither am I. I did nothing wrong with checking into an available and clean room before 3pm. You were not there and left a new employee alone on her first day. You falsely accused me of "pressuring her"for a room which I told you was untrue. I know she was new as I have been a customer at this hotel for almost two years. Although you have shown in the past some inconvenience or unprofessionalism. I continued to do business with you. Now because I questioned your authority and behavior in the parking lot while sitting in my car. You became agitated and abruptly responded by saying. "You are no longer welcome to stay here as of this Saturday." And walked away. Personally I should have taken my business elsewhere months ago but I became content with your other staff and location. You possibly did me a favor to seek out a more fully staff run hotel and a manager that treats a regular customer such as myself with respect and courtesy who never cause any issues. Good luck Sir ! Sincerely, Don Sesson III

My rewards are missing

I had to switch hotels in the middle of the night due to my room being flooded and the hotel being extremely subpar and unsafe. My rewards used needed to be refunded, and of course they weren't. I've called 3 times to rectify the issue with no avail. The most recent time, they attempted to credit me in a way that made absolutely no sense

Report a hotel

Room was unacceptable! Hairs on counter & toilet. Mold & toilet paper in toilet. Stains on carpet that looked like blood, couch was stained & dirty, mirrors not cleaned. Completely disappointed & grossed out. Made us sick to our stomachs.

The room is not clean, website pics deceiving

Don't go here. Pictures are deceiving. We were hotel phished. Dirty room, smells of urine. There's no way housekeeping can get much credit at all for cleaning- but I can't say it's all on housekeeping. Apparently it's in the hood - just saying for the sake of knowing where you are/ where you are going. Photos: 1. Walked into the dark, stuffy room, blackout curtains shut and no air running. I turned on the air to get some sort of ventilation, but I might as well suffocated - the vents are filthy and inside the machine is full of ashes and anonymous junk. I cleaned the outside vent lines for them, but that stuff on the inside needs to be vacuumed out or something. Thankfully, the window opened. 3. bedsheet had 3 parallel small stains, looked like blood stains, and the spots were in plain sight. They looked like track marks of one sort or another, and they claimed to not have bedbugs 4. The closet is full of dust, dirt and debris- an easy fix if only someone had cleaned. 5. Bathroom door makes you wonder, there's a huge white patched hole repair...but why was minimal effort done about this? Some of the surrounding white debris around the patched large hole wiped right off! 6. Soap dish tells it all, it was clearly never cleaned. 7. Floor ledge going into the bathroom is higher than the rest of the floor and rugged- a trip hazard which could lead someone into the toilet. 8. There is a plug piece stuck into an outlet. Thankfully, I did not die wiping this area before I noticed it. 9. The microwave is likely an instrument used in 'Back to the Future.' If they are not putting money towards getting microwaves or properly repairing holes in the door, why are they not putting it at least towards making sure they have good housekeeping?? 10. I am also attaching a picture of the elevator floor - between this and the bathroom floor ledge, this is definitely no place for any physical disabled person - tripping risks. After much cleaning (more was still needed), you slowly noticed the urine smell resonating more and more. The young man at the front desk was not rude, he listened and offered for us to address the manager the next day, but we went ahead and cancelled through our booking service. After my almost 2 hrs worth of cleaning, then checking out, we were charged for one night's stay. Don't go here.

Because hotel team was not able to help me my problems

On this case I will escalate because the team member from hotel.com was not able to resolve the problem. I had to spend two hours on the shot to the able to help me out. I am very disappointing with this hotel system is never been like that Ive been, Gold Member , and I never had this kind of situation. The Hotel tiene never was able to help me out its getting worse.

Serious concerns

I have spoken with hotels.com many times and filed a formal complete with Wyndham. The hotel we reserved through hotels.com was nothing short of disgusting. There were cockroaches, hairs in the ice box, bodily fluids on the sheets, a brown substance dropping down the wall, toilet seat broken from the toilet itself, blood on carpet I can continue but theres really no need. I am extremely disappointed that hotels.com would advertise a property they clearly do not check to see if it meets any type of standard. This was a huge inconvenience for my family as we traveled from Massachusetts for a tournament and had to pay for transportation to a hotel several towns away in order to have somewhere to stay.

I had a problem with the room

The room was filthy. The bathroom door had 2 holes in it. Like punch holes. The tub was filthy. The tv stand was falling apart. The blanket was dirty. They're weed gum stuck to the headboard of the bed. The sink was broke. There was a party going on next door all night. The hallway reaked of cigarette smoke. 10 or more kids yelling and running in the lobby this morning and the guy behind the counter did nothing. I paid over 150.00 plus they took another 100 deposit when I got there. I want ALL my money back. This was supposed to be a nice night for my 9 year old autistic son, for his birthday. When we tried to go to the pool it was so many people in there having a party they had the lights off and it did not look safe. We just went back to our room.
