Frozen crankshaft and lack of customer service response or assistance.

I filed a goodwill request due to a failing engine at 90,000 miles. Claim number 1393****; Terry Hjelmgren; 651-492-****; ttjhjelm@***.com. I have left Adrianna at 1-80*-***-****, EX:87705 four messages to update us on the request. She has chosen not to respond. Thus is very hard to understand much less accept. We have owned seven(7) Hondas over the last 30 years. We deserve better treatment, you might conclude that we've long past paid for it. Our engine's crankshaft froze while basically drifting to a stop near a town on the freeway. There has yet to be a single individual, mechanic, sales person or customer service person who has ever heard of such a failure in a Honda of this age. Our family currently owns 4 late model Pilots. We even convinced a friend to trade their Toyota for a Pilot due to our previous exceptional experience. Your company's current treatment is beyond inappropriate or unacceptable it is sincerley heart breaking for us. I calculated the cost of repair to your company at 100th of 1 cent(penny) per outstanding share of stock. We are a retired couple with a fixed income who believed we had our auto expenses calculated and fixed for the next 5-10 years. I have prided myself on being a car guy my entire life. This situation has made me question that belief. Terry

Recall on frame

Recently received a recall notice for my crv ( frame recall) After taking the car to my local Honda dealership, they preformed the recall, after which they informed me not to drive the car because the frame was rotted beyond repair. My question is why do a recall fix on apparently a non-drivable car-- Basically Honda reps told me that I was out a car now because they have done all they could. Very disappointed and contemplating a lawsuit

My information was is not not being sent to the credit buyer do its not reflected on credit report. They reported me for one late payment which I paid two 2 xar notes in one month after leasing two 2 other cars and being a loyal c ustomer payig directly from checking account this is whay i receive. Forget the loyalty automatically payments my. Then she customer report said if you want I can report with the late payment shown on report. So in other words, the 5 years that I've been leasing automatic payments that are not reflecting my score never went up after they promised me it would go up after I paid 1 year straight and never did yet. I was late one time due to a move and paid them twice in 1 month. They had the audacity to report me as late so she said. I can report you if you want, but it's gonna show late and affect your credit report.

Back ordered part. Parts delayed. In rental car

Have been waiting over 2 months for a fix for my 2017 Honda CRV. 3 service dealers and a total of 5 visits found a problem with the fuel injectors. ETA is now July 25, 2023 for new fuel injectors. Am paying for a rental car but Hondacare will only cover 6 days of rental. Problem was through no fault of mine.

Warranty Extensions in lieu of Recalls

Original review Jul 06, 2023
Honda sends out Warranty Extension Letters stating there's a problem, in this case "the compressor shaft seal", rather than a public Recall. Then they charge the customer $400 to check out the system. What a rip-off! By not issuing a Recall, it puts the burden of proof on the customer.

Poor Service in regards to an AC Compressor Shaft Seal Leak

Now when Honda has a product problem instead of having a recall like all other companies, now they have warranty extensions. Apparently Honda has no Recalls anymore. The Dealership charges $400 to check if the compressor shaft seal leaks, even though we had a leak a few months ago. This way they can just say it's something else. The Honda Letter says "if your vehicle is experiencing a problem related to this condition, Honda will replace the AC compressor shaft seal for FREE". By not having a recall Honda places the problem on the customer's shoulders; what a rip-off!!!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

If there was a negative 10 star thats what I would put. I have emailed and mailed all kinds of info that they have asked for in an attempt to fix my warranty. There is an issue that needs to be fixed that is covered under the extended warranty. It was voided by a mistake made by the probate office that registered my vehicle. I have called every day for 3 weeks now to see if my stuff is there and they have no idea and wont transfer me to a supervisor. Who is holding them accountable. Dont buy a Honda.

Schomp Honda in Denver, CO

I purchased a new 2021 Honda CRV in 2021 from Schomp Honda. I found out just this week that the interior of my car is not Honda. I found this out due to an accident where the interior door panel had to be replaced. The repair company ordered via the vin# and installed fabric. My interior is leather, which is what I requested at the time of the sale. What I didn't know is that they take the car they are going to sell you and have the door panels redone at an upholstery shop. I had no idea this is what they were doing. The repair shop told me that there are 20 different interiors for the car I purchased, and none of them matched my other doors. This created a huge problem as I was out of state at the time and continued to stay weeks longer than anticipated. I called Schomp on 5/31/2023 and got the most arrogant manager Darrick on the phone, and he basically belittled me and was very nonchalant about the issue and all the problems it had caused, stating "We (Schomp) do this ALL the time to sell cars. It sounds to me like slick sales with little forecasting of what the issues might be in the future. I basically ordered this car over the phone. I knew what car I wanted and went in to sign the papers. What I didn't know at the time is that they didn't have the car I wanted and modified one to make the sale. This is the second brand-new car I have bought from Schomp and I will NEVER buy from them again. When they shrug you off and tell you that your insurance company will take care of it and accept ZERO responsibility, that is a problem. So the 2021 Honda I bought brand new from them is not exactly all Honda.

Paint issues AND 0 customer service help

I have a 2017 Honda civic hatch and have issues with the paint that peeled off of both mirrors, not to mention air bubbles in the rim of the windshield. I contacted a Honda dealership and they put a claim in for a warranty issue since all over the internet this is happening to other civic owners. My claim was denied, but others online have been filed and got theirs either painted or replaced. How can the paint be peeled and chipping after only 6 years and less than 80k miles?? HONDA, this is not a new issue, multiple owners are complaining about the paint peeling and not being right on their cars. How are you not helping your consumers?

Good Will Assistance Program

I filed for good will assistance in April 2023 because my 2017 CRV with 65,000 miles needed an entire fuel injector replacement. We thought that due to the car's age and being in excellent condition, meeting every requirement Honda set for maintenance, that Honda would back their product and at least help cover the costs to replace (almost $2,000). We were denied assistance due to customer loyalty, (this being our first Honda). Not only that, but we had to pay in advance before any parts were even ordered. Waited two and a half months for parts to then learn that Honda discontinued these parts and redesigned all new parts. This should be a recall!!! The dealership even admitted that they have seen and heard a lot of these happening with Honda. If Honda wants customer loyalty, then they should be loyal to their customers! I just found out that the air conditioning condenser needs to be replaced as well, another $2,000!! I, for one, will be trading in this money pit, buy American (like I always have done before) and tell everyone I know that they need to stay away from Honda products and that if they have a Honda product not to expect any "Good Will Assistance" there will not be any. Furthermore, I will never buy a Honda again.

Escalation

customer service was not the problem too much, she filed a ticket claim of how poorly the dealership treats customers. I dropped off my hybrid in 2021 and the dealership had my car 5 months over a ground wire that was told to mechanic to start with. Not only was my paperwork lost/my whole claim was deleted, which caused my car to sit longer. Tried to charge me almost $4000 bc they could not find the problem (mind you, we told them where it was and what it was) Had to buy another car bc of this. Took my new car there, and I was blown off, Honda never contacted the warranty department like stated but instead called roadside assistance... finally they informed me they did not have the authorization to fix my Honda and had to have it towed to the original place of purchase (another city) for them to inform me Honda lied and in fact did have the authorization
