Don’t Use

Bad costumer service dont use at all!! I canceled my service with them last year because I was paying and my house was not monitored. Now I am having issues with the equipment and they wont help me because I am not paying them a fee and I am not a customer. Also, we had to wait for our 5 year contract to end before we were able to cancel them. Avoid the headache and dont use them.

Horrible service and way overpriced, lock you into a contract for five years, don’t do it!!!

I have found Home Pro security services way overpriced, you can do the same service for less by installing your own equipment, they *** rush their service when you are trying to move in, high pressure salespeople. Just to get rid of them, I thought I try their service, big mistake. Lock you into a five-year contract. Threaten 2500 cancellation fee. Don't do it, you will regret it.

Home Pro does not actively monitor your house

I am an active customer who switched to another alarm service company. Did you know that you can not cancel the contract without paying it out in full? It is better to - get this - unplug your alarm system and switch providers! Yes, you will have to contend with 2 security bills... or just allow it to go into collections but the point is "you or someone can unplug your system from the wall" and HomePro does not contact you or see an issue.

Not Happy

Would not go near them with a barge pole. Said they had to update the system due to a technical requirement from their and automatically put me on me to a new 3 year contract. When I asked them to cancel due to leaving the country they forced me to pay +$1000 to get out of the contract. After 9 years as a loyal customer, this is Daylight robbery. Additionally they never called or followed up when the alarm activated. Go with somebody like Smith Thompson who have a 5G no contract system at half the price per month Home pro - forget them

Worst Experience!!

Worst security company ever!! Do not recommend. I bought a new house which was a model house before which had the DXC security equipment and cameras. Builder gave the contact of homepro security. Upon approaching homepro security the sales guy Brandon said "Oh Yes, all system is installed by us and we can come in and install your security system including the cameras since the entire system was done by us." Trusting that I got into the contract with homepro security for 3 years. Guess what the sales guy just wanted to get me under the contract!! The first tech (David) didn't have any clue on how cameras work and didn't know how to hook up the DXC security system installed in the home. So he scrapped out everything the model home had and replaced the system with a 2 GiG system with just one motion sensor & one panel while the home had 2 of each. He left house promising someone will contact me back for cameras. I did not hear from anyone then I escalated the issue, they gave me additional motion sensor plus additional panel and sent the media tech who knows about camera. The media tech said cameras are from "clare controls" and he doesn't have a clue how these cameras work. Called homepro again and made the appointment for them to send a "Clare Control" tech. The new tech comes in and he says the cameras are not from homepro and the sales guy actually had mis-informed about them at the first place. Called homepro again, escalated the issue. They make a service appointment for another media tech on 09/26. A sales / tech manager guy named Darrell reaches out from homepro and said he will do all in his power to work with media tech remotely and get the cameras working. I was relieved that somehow things are moving in some direction. Guess what, Waited like a fool on 9/26 at the assigned timeslot. Nobody shows up, nobody calls. Finally reached out to homepro again. Sales lady Trisha tells me that the tech is busy with other appointments and will come later in the evening. Again you don't have to guess, nobody showed up, nobody cared to call. I was on hold with another sales lady for about 30 mins today!! Call dropped!! What an ugly way to get a customer hooked up on a contract!! Working with HomeProTech company is a nightmare!! Will never recommend this to anyone, they are just full of lies!! Save yourself some trouble and go with another company! Had Smith Thompson for almost 6 years, no complaints ever!!

Failure to monitor and fix issue

On 07/21 HomePro monitoring service stopped. On 07/22 I reported issue and was informed supplier caused outage and working to resolve. Rang 09/06 to ask for prorated refund as per contract. Told they would have to charge me circa $95 to come out and repair. I said for what, your issue, and you take my money? Then put through to customer loyalty (that's a joke, I doubt they could spell loyalty!) Cedric or Kedric then told me that there was no record of the call. I told him I have it on my phone. He also told me he could offer a July rebate (did not mention August) and that if I signed up for the maintenance contract, it would only cost me a flat $40 to repair. I asked him to cancel the contract, his response I have offered a solution and cannot do that. Informed him that I would be seeking attorney advice and writing to CEO. I have been a customer for 5-years and have had multiple issues with them If anyone else is in the same boat, I am interested in trying to get a Class Action Lawsuit against them. Their business practice is not ethical.

Camera off-line need help to reactivate

They were scheduled to call to my home to fix my doorbell no one showed up and not even a phone call to that would not be coming my wife and I cancel plans we had made to wait on a home pro Tech !!!

Reliable service. Good safety system with reasonable pricing.

Mohammad explained about the 30 second delay on the alarm system. We are very happy with the alarm system.

Just bought vintage tv chest.

I bought a TV chest, the name of the product is vintage. It's supposed price was RM589, but sale price is RM289, but the quality is very low. When I put it together, the hole for the screw's is not a line with the hole. And the wood easily cracked. I had to modify it myself. And the drawer is too far back, and the instructions does not help either. This does not look like the price mentioned by the sales person. Really disappointed with homepro.

Customer service

Had 3 year contract with HomePro security which I fulfilled but after 60 days of not cancelling the contract Im due for another year or if I choose to cancel now Homepro is charging me $240 which is noting but BS. Supervisor I spoke with was very rude he sounded more pissed off than me and Im the customer. Stay away from Homepro security as they even wanted to charge me $30 to change the passcode when I got divorced nothing but BS.

Contract

I agreed to a 3 year contract with HomePro security and after 3 years and 2 months I was unable to terminate contract with them cause according to their contract I had to terminate my contract within 60 days once the 3 years expired. Now if I want to cancel with them I need to pay $240 cancellation fee or stay with them for another year and that is nothing but BS. I agreed to the 3 years and I should be able to cancel anytime I want after that. Supervisor was very rude and angry as ***

Service failure

I had a confirmed service appt today, so I took a vacation day to be home for the service call, since Homepro would not give me a timeframe. No one showed up or contacted me. When I called to follow up,I was told that the appt wasn’t scheduled correctly and I’d need to make another appt. Zero apology. Don’t waste your time with this company, they show utter contempt for their customer
