Unsolved issues

In October I donated my car to this company. Or so I thought. Since I donated the car I have photo evidence of them driving the car without reregistering the car to their name as well as I was told the car would be taken apart and the pieces would be used to help raise money. But the photos I have are of the exact same car being driven on toll roads. Talk about an untrustworthy company.

Scam???

Are these vouchers scam? I can't get a hold of ANYONE. All the numbers go to different companies. I filled out my vouchers as directed and faxed them. I still haven't received a response.

Shady

Was suspicious once I realized they used Google addresses and didn't have their own domain - dealt with two different representatives over a two-week period who didn't return calls. Nonetheless, I donated a running vehicle, which I probably should have taken the time to dispose of otherwise. The tow truck driver (from PA, weirdly) refused to sign the release paperwork, but I made copies of his documentation. I then received an e-mail with $200 coupons for hotels I've never heard of, with hoops to jump through for redemption. Also received tax credit paperwork for $500!

Fraudulent non-profit

Contacted heritage 8/18/2020. Vehicle picked-up 8/20/2020. Official tax receipt and questionable vouchers received. 12/27/2020 received delinquent parking violation notice for a ticket issued 11/12/2020 no parking/street clean. Why was the car parked on the street. Provided info to parking enforcement. Recently received notice of registration due. The business practices of this company are suspect boarding on criminal. How is this car being used (in my name). I heard about this company at 870AM los angeles, do they monitor and keep a check on the businesses they support.

Given up before I do get scammed

I donated my car and received the two night hotel stay Vouchers-Followed the instructions and Faxed my phone number and email to the number on the voucher because the phone number wouldnt work-Weeks later I did not receive anything back so I want online to look for another phone number to reach them-Woman came on that I could barely understand and She try to give me $100 voucher because they were having problems with her system she was trying to explain to me-When I explain to her that I was not going to give her my debit card over the phone she actually hung up on me!!!!!!!!And that is where my search stopped for a hotel stay that was a lie all along!!!!!!

The Hotel Vouchers and Restaurant Vouchers are too difficult to use and trust altogether, they give you a reason to burn *** in your pocket.

They burn *** in my pocket after conning me out of my car, I lost my respect for their organization, they have no respect for their customers.

Review

Two cars were picked up today. I was informed that 1 -$500, 1 $200 for food. and 1 $200 voucher for hotels would be mailed to me today, per Cole, was excellent to deal with. After reading all of the terrible reviews, calling this charity a scam, I hope they live up to their promise.

Total scam

Called to donate car on January 25. Was told I would receive $200 in food voucher at various restaurants and $200 in voucher for hotel rooms across the country. Jumped on that as I was beginning a trip from Florida to California at the time. Within 30 minutes car was driven away by "tow company". Was originally told to call Heritage when tow company got there and they would email me the vouchers. Trip is finished and still waiting for vouchers now on 2/26. Many phone calls with excuses and lies so I gave up.

Did not deliver on promise

I was informed that the pick up person would include $175 cash and provide a hotel voucher along with a restaurant credit. None of this occurred at pickup. I'm now mired in a ton of paperwork to try to resolve the issue. One Huge Scam.

I feel like this institution is a big scam.

I was offered certain amount of money for my car. They sent a company to pick up the car with no money, the guy told me I am here just to pick up the car. I call the institution. They said there was a confusion, they promise to send a check. It has been more than 4 months going back an forth and I still have not received any check. Every time there is an excuse. They have the right address from day one but they say that the check was returned. Now they are telling me that we'll call me back. I don't know what else to do. It looks like that they just want me to get tired and give up. Do not be BLIND. Do not trust them. No money, no car. It was a very hard lesson. All I can do now is continuing bugging them and report them anywhere I can

They try hard

The IT person there must be a genius I can only imagine how much *** this guy has to deal with I called in a few times about my paperwork and portal and kept getting to the only person apparently who can help me one guy in charge of printing, templates, mailing etc in New York, every time I talked to him he sounded like he wishes he'd be put out his misery carrying this entire organization on his back I feel for him I hope they pay him well. My whole experience was good just because of that.

Updated by user Nov 12, 2018
it was not resolved but I made mistakes on the write up

Original review Nov 12, 2018
We handed the van over and to this day we have gotten zero amount of money they also said they were going to put up the van at auction and we would get half of the money they got for it. They offered a vacation package but we never could get one. Sometimes we see a van just like the one we gave this people and we get angry again for the fraud they committed to us WE HAVE A RECEIPT DATED AND SIGNED BY THE PERSON THAT PICKED UP THE VAN HIS NAME IS OSCAR IBARRA WE LIVE IN PASCO WA. 99301 We would like to let everyone know what happened to us so they will not be scammed like we were. We gave them our van hoping for the best outcome but Heritage for the Blind didn't come through for us
