Terrible experience! Cancelled without informing!

Waited for 2 hours for the handymans to come but never turned up. Company just apologised to said that they couldnt contact the handyman and would cancel without charging. Whats stupid rubbish! All the time and energy wasted just liaising with them!

My appt was cancelled without being informed. Until I logged in to my account to see and realized that my appt is being cancelled. Very unprofessional.

Exorbitant And inconsistent pricing

Engaged Helpings gardening services earlier this year at SGD 300+ for 3 hours of work earlier this year. Got in touch with them this afternoon with the same scope of work and they are now requesting for SGD 800+ for 8 hours of work. Clearly trying to rip me off with quotes given simply by *** from the sky.

Highly disappointed as a customer experience

I am highly disappointed with backend team. On their website they have very clearly mentioned as First 20 bookings enjoy $20 off - Expires 27/3 and have attached the screenshot here. But their response was like sorry for the confusion. What it meant for the advertisement was the first 20 bookings = the first 20 customers that redeem the promo. When I asked for cancellation of recurring service they mentioned to pay as per adhoc service for last 2 services (ie additional 3$ per hr) which is so unfair. As the recurring booking was made based on what they advertised.

Truth - the Cleaners are not trained and have no experienc

Have used five times, each time worse than the other. The service I used was ad hoc clean. The first one was average to ok, but every one after that got worse and worse. One did not use the broom t all and insisted on using the vacuum throughout, including bathrooms and balcony. She did not empty the vacuum at all. One took 2 hours to clean 2 2m by 2m bathrooms and could not even get to mopping the entire floor in the ranges time. We had to mop the floor after she left. We had to wipe the mirrors again because she left disgusting and very visible streaks on all of them. These people do not know how to clean and should not be charging. You can get a confirmed booking for a 4.x star person days ahead but 2 to 3 days before the day they will 100% cancel the booking and reassign someone new and inevitably terrible to give that person more workexperience. The problem with this is the utter lack of quality control and poor regard for actual quality of work. Please! They charge highest in this industry and we end up do the work after their Cleaners leave! Mast and disgusting experience every time - I suspected that they must be scamming big time based on the bait and switch as well as the ridiculous 5 star reviews on Google - COME ON IT IS IMPOSSIBLe and found this site. They spend so much on advertising repeatedly yet cant spare a dime to improve quality control. Fake it until you make it? The way they treat customers is nasty, disgusting and clearly fraudulent. Everybody should stay away.

Create awareness and prevent others from experiencing similar bad experience

Engaged them recently to clean my parents' house every fortnightly and it has been alright so far. However, it went totally downhill when I book them for cleaning at my house. I requested for an experienced cleaner and they sent me one that could not clean windows properly. Customer service agent on the whatsapp line was totally useless when I really needed help. The cleaner was supposed to be here for 6 hours but she was so hopeless that I had sent her off after 3hours. In the span of 3hours, she only cleaned the windows by using newspaper to "sweep" my glass panels and lied numerous times that she has cleaned the window track and grills despite that it was so obvious that she did not (shown in picture was what she claimed as the window tracks are cleaned). Managed to get the contact number of someone thru the cleaner and she was helpful enough to arrange for a replacement on the next day (I still have to pay for 2hours). The replacement cleaner was scheduled to come today but went to the wrong location, she went to my parents' house. I whatsapp the customer service agent and got no response. My mum called the cleaner and understand that she was not given the correct address despite having highlighted in the booking and to the customer service agent several times. Cleaner was late for 24minutes looking totally confused. I received a call from a customer service assistant (Mandy) after the cleaner has arrived, she asked me if the cleaner has arrived (once again useless as we have already given the cleaner the correct address). During the phone conversation, I requested to speak to service quality on the next day but was told they are engaged and it depends on if they have time to talk to me. OMG, I just cannot believe this absurd response. I have terminated their lousy service.d

Helpling is dishonest, non transparent, unfair. pls be VERY CAREFUL.

In response to Helpling's unfactual and unfair response below - Out of 5 recurring helpers, PL (4.8 stars with 117 reviews), Jenny (4.8 stars with 53 reviews), and Din (4.9 stars with 6 reviews) didn't meet your expectations. Din (4.9 stars with 6 reviews) this woman is only 4.3 stars please kindly see proof of screenshot attached below. are you trying to misrepresent on her rating? Let me tell you what she did. - put all the 3 cloths used for cleaning onto the clothes dryer rack without any clip on them. Is she ok? Even my big towel flies off in the wind if I do not clip it, let alone a small square cloth? - did not dry the mop and just put it upside down causing my service yard to be completely soaked with water - 1st time ever for all the helpers I tried before - toilet scrubber bits all came off during her cleaning and was everywhere all over the toilet bowl, very dirty Does this look like a mark of an experienced cleaner to you? And why is DIN listed as a recurring cleaner? She stays in Sembawang - for which your team wrongfully booked the address. She is unable to recurring clean for my home in Punggol at all. She also said Punggol is too far for her. She should not even be listed as a recurring cleaner, she was a mistake booked wrongly by your team. PL (4.8 stars with 117 reviews) - which is Naw Say Lar Phaw, please refer to attached screenshot message from your team - the message clearly said that she can only be my temporary helper for ONE week only. This was not a recurring clean. I would have loved to continue with her but she was not available Jenny (4.8 stars with 53 reviews) Your team took a very, very long time to locate this replacement. I already told your team that my preferred timing for cleaning is in the afternoon. but because your team could not locate a cleaner after very long, I said I would temporarily try to use Jenny - it was the 7pm to 10pm timeslot. However after using, I have told your team that the 7pm to 10pm timeslot is very inconvenient for my household, and it is only because your team did not manage to locate someone for the noon timeslot that I had to use her temporarily. This is not a recurring clean as well. - Shin (4.8 stars with 188 reviews), you skipped many events with her. Cleaner requested to cancel because the last-minute changes were disruptive to her work schedule and affected her income. I was not told that the cancellations were an issue and the cancellations complied with your company's regulations. They were all cancelled with ample time before - 1 to 2 weeks before. Why is this an issue now? - Khin (4.8 stars with 160 reviews) you had 10 events with her. You filed a complaint because she damaged your yoga mat, so we offered to compensate you and retrieve the damaged yoga mat from you. You took the compensation but didn't allow us to retrieve the damaged yoga mat. Firstly, your team only compensated 50% of the mat value, and I already offered to pay back the compensation as long as this cleaner can continue cleaning. Also, nowhere did your team mention at all that the mat was to be collected back! If you compensated 100%, of course by all means, please collect back the mat since you technically paid for it. But how can you pay me 50% for something and want to collect it back? I still need the mat right? Also, I do not care for the $50 you compensated me! If you want, you take the $50 back! I already told you that keeping the cleaner is more important to me than $50 which means nothing! Attached screenshot proof where your team told me that you did not want to take back the mat. I did not REFUSE your team to take back the mat! And by the way, I still have not received your full balance payment of the mat, If your team pays 100% of the mat, please come here and take the mat and do not say I refuse to let you take the mat! The cleaner is 4.3 stars, yet Helpling listed her here as 4.9 stars just to paint a very bad picture of me. I had a regular part time helper that came to clean with us every week for 4 - 5 years, but has had to stop because she went back to her home country. It is absolutely not true at all the picture that Helpling is painting us out to be that we are some demanding persons. All the instances of the changing of cleaners, there were all reasonable and valid reasons as to the change and some of them was that Helpling made the change themselves. It is definitely not the full story they are painting, I did not request to change my cleaner, Helpling handled the situation poorly &;;;; caused me to lose her. Also I read another review below abt them, it is absolutely true that they doubt every word you say even though it is genuine constructive feedback you are trying to give them.

Unprofessional Cleaning

From their website and reviews seem like very professional and expected a good clean for my new house. 2 Cleaner with no clues of what to be done and wasted a lot of time talking, lots of items is not clean and those that was done was still with grey water stains. Avoid Helpling if you can, not worth the money.

Dishonest Business

1. Assigning a lower rating cleaner On the website, there are loads of high rating cleaners (4.8 / 4.9). So I chose a few high rating ones and hourly rate is 22 SGD. But the company came back to me and told me all of them are not free, instead, they can arrange "an experienced" cleaner to me. I said yes. But turned on the cleaner's rating (on the same website) is only 4.5 but charge a higher rate 22.5SGD. Feels like a scam already! 2. Hidden Charges The website has a checkout process to show you the cost. Even though I have chosen weekend service, the weekend charge is not shown. Instead, there is a line - weekend surcharge is excluded. This is very confusing. I ended up paying me than I expected.

Unreliable Company

Hired them for a weekly cleaning, cleaner no show for 3 session, complaint to the office and no respond till date, worst still is I already paid for 3 months. Asking for refund, but was told the agreement stated no refund. They will arrange for another cleaner, the problem is I already don't trust this company. I am going to CASE. Never try them.

Disappointed and frustrating experience

I have been using Helping for the past 3 monnths, as a middle person, the process ought to be seamless, unfortunately, it has been a nightmare. For 3 months, I had 3 cleanings BY 3 DIFFERENT cleaners. The first cleaner gave me black face on both visits as my house only on the second visit she complained my house was too far and asked me to request for Helpling assigned me another cleaner. The second cleaner, I used her 3 times was complaining my cleaning ended too late at 10pm. I checked with Helpling they said the knock off at 10pm. But i thought never I will make it till 930pm. When this cleaner could not make it, she will message me to ask me to inform Helpling that I need to cancel. She will also come earlier and call me, when I am not home yet. The third cleaner was really good, and I wanted to use her as my regular cleaner, however, Helpling says she's only avail on weekends and I have to pay extra. I was rather unhappy, she they waived off 1 weekend surcharge and schedule another weekday. NOW, when I ask for that cleaner they cant be bothered to reply. The attitude of Helpling service ambassadors are demanding and unhelpful. I do not want to continue with their services already.

Scam and unethical company.

This company been charging my credit card even ahead of services being done. No explanation at all on how system works. Simply prebooked all my sessions! Ridiculous. And when I reached agreement with them to use the termination fees (that they claimed they need to recoup from me) to offset using the 5 times cleaning in year 2017, they clearly forgotten about it and came hunting me for payment again!!! Harassment via SMS and emails and debt collection. They didn't bother to call you on phone at all. More needs to be done to deter this company to carry on their unethical practices.

Stay away - fraudulent company

I signed up for 1 cleaning through a promotion. Something like $55 for a 3 hour clean. Subsequently I have been billed month after month after month - dont give your CC details as they will bill you without your concent. I have made multiple requests to stop billing me and stop it.

Helpling called to discuss everything I wrote about. They admitted they have a problem to work out. They resolved my scheduling problems.

Helpling bullies customers and cleaners I'm updating my reviews to reflect the real situation on the ground. *****SUMMARY ***** Very difficult to work with Helpling. 3 tries and 3 different cleaners over less than 2 months. Helpling is not trustworthy. Promo codes promised wasn't applied properly - had to follow up 2 separate times. Messed up my schedule big time again and again. Rude customer service told me (in verbatim) "we at Helpling are the ones responsible for our cleaners' schedules. We are the ones that will adjust their schedule, only freelancers manage their own schedule." REFUSED to assign me morning schedule even though afternoons doesn't work well for me. Let me outline in detail everything: 1) First helper was a freelancer male cleaner who was too rigid. Refused to do this, refused to do that. Pretended that it was Helpling's rules and regulations and boasted about Helpling's backing from a former MOM executive. Wanted the use the most expensive apple cider vinegar to clean things and I bought. But many of the tasks assigned, he refused to do. Ended up cutting short my hours and finishing less than half of what I wanted him to do. After the 1st assignment, my weekly appointments was suddenly canceled altogether. 2) Assigned another weekly cleaner. Cleaner was good but came for 2-3 times or so and then quit for good. I was livid with anger but I kept my cool. 3) Assigned another weekly cleaner. Good cleaner too but my scheduling was messed up big time. Assigned Tue morning cleaning every week. After a few times, I was bumped out of my Tue morning because another client wanted the slot. HOW RUDE. Assigned 1 Tue morning, 1 Mon afternoon every other week. Apart from that, Helpling agent wasn't thorough in scheduling. Some weeks there are cleaning some weeks no cleaning at all. Had to go back and forth to reschedule because after that, the schedule was still messed up. 4) Customer service not supportive. First, no direct call. Rely on sms and whatsapp which takes a few hours to respond. Secondly when you ask them to call you, there has been a few times they didn't want to call back. Instead they hide behind sms words because they probably feel vulnerable if they speak with you. Requests are not always respected. They said they will "put in our admin notes to make you our priority and give you the morning slot if there's any available" but I'm sure that is just words which they don't intend to honour ever. Everyone feel bullied by Helpling because they always put themselves first -- not the customers, not the cleaners. Customers are bumped out at Helpling's mercy, cleaners are not given enough time to travel and eat properly, even when customers request that they check the schedule properly before scheduling Helpling still manages to mess things up.

Fake Online Review and Lousy Service

Engaged Helpling after reading their online review from Trustpilot. Cleaner came late and spend 4 hour just mopping my floor and washing 2 toilets, the waste clean i ever had, email in to feedback and didn't get a reply from them, decided to cancel the rest of my booking and was told i will be charged a penalty pricing and had to commit to the minimum times. Fake online reviews, seems like self created. Horrible Company!
