Poor quality and worthless warranty

My wife and I purchased a MEZZO48-C fireplace that was installed in November 2020. Being in So. California, we have used the fireplace infrequently. A few months ago, we noticed the left side lining of the inside firebox had become displaced and covers the gas burner; then the right side lining fell off as well. Without opining that the unit is defective (and perhaps dangerous), it is unimaginable that an expensive unit such as this is falling apart in 2 years of infrequent use. Very difficult to reach any customer service. When we finally did, they said it was "outside" of covered warranty and refused to fix.

Heat and Glo will not stand behind their products.

Our model 8000c bangs loudly during cool down. Was told that it would need an expansion kit installed and our unit was not under warranty. The kit attaches to the firebox, which strangely carries a 20 yr warranty. So why the discrepancy? If a retro kit is available, then this alone indicates that there is a design flaw from the factory. Hear N Glo refuses to acknowledge this. Wonder how many clients have had to purchase this kit.

Wall panel battery light on and can't turn on the fireplace

My review is that I never spoke with anybody regarding my issue but I am getting emails to write a review about my experience. No one reached out or contacted me regarding it. So I dont have much to say other than I resolved the issue already myself.

Not lighting

We have a ap Phoenix 42 IFT fireplace in new construction. We have used this fireplace only a few times and every time it gets windy, the fireplace completely shuts down and cannot be relit except by a tech with a module. This takes several weeks to get repaired. What can be done?

Beeping noise of gas fireplace during power outage

Good evening, My name is Hoi and I have a heat and glo fireplace at my house. It started to make beeping noise during a power outage. It started a hour after the power outage, lasted for a few minutes, and then it stopped on its own. I would like to know the reason of the beeping and whether I need to schedule a service before I use it after my electrical power is restored. Thanks

Won't turn on.

A week ago I tried to turn on the fireplace and it wouldnt turn on. I changed the batteries and tried again but no luck. Dont know what else to tell you

I wanted to speak with their customer service department, but apparently they don't offer that outside of the USA..

I could not contact their customer service, it needed a zip code, in Canada, we have postal codes, which are different. I would still like to speak with their customer service, but so far, I can't Find a way to do that. .

Ignition module on a Heat & Glo Model: 8000TRLP-OAKIPI SN: 00274****

What kind of company doesnt have a Tech Support? Let alone, what kind of company responds via text, not an actual phone call? And the only thing that the dealer is willing to do is send a service tech to look at your issue for a fee of $259.00 plus tax. And an hourly fee? Utterly ridiculous.

Heater shuts off, doesn't heat house.

Have a 2nd home, need a set and forget system. Timer shuts off unit after 9 hours if house not up to temp. Then house can freeze, pipes freeze, water damage..... Called customer service to speak to Heat n Glo, they did nothing, offered nothing but to put me in touch with a 2nd dealer. Told me they would not contact their supplier. Told me there was nothing they would do for me to help. Told me they would not let me speak to the supervisor.

Flame size

I really dont see a discernible flame size between the smallest setting to the largest setting on my Heat and Glow, using my remote. Also, how long should it take for the flame adjustment to be noticeable?

Constant problems. 3 years old

Constant problems with pilot light not staying lit. Numerous service calls. Never had problems with past name brand fireplaces

Company not taking Responsibility for enduser safety

Heat n Glo absolving itself from its dealers installing improperly and not putting in proper heat management puts the public at risk. When calling to ask about proper heat management as an enduser, I get referred back to the dealer. I had to independently research what was not done. I have owned two Heath Glow products in the past and didnt realize how bad this company is at supporting its end users safety. They just stick their head in the sand.

No service support

I have a heatnglo 6000trxi fire place. parts have corroded need replacement but there is no way to contact them directly but referred to authorized dealer who charges a service call but would not touch it since they didnt install it. They would try to order parts but i have to install myself! Unbelievable
