Atrocious Customer Service

DoMy beloved 08 Softail Deluxe with numbered paint scheme was it back at the end of April and someone backed into it. To make a long story short we are now going into September no fender and they will probably have to ship it from Syracuse New York to Alpharetta Georgia once its ready to be installed. The repair work they did was shoddy on the tire the rim and the tube, not even checking to make sure that it was aligned properly and kept me from riding the bike for three months when I couldve been riding at the whole time while waiting for the for all the parts to come in that needed to be replaced. I was offered know kind of compensation other than just simply Im sorry, which means squat. This is my first and will be my last Harley Davidson I ever purchase.

Having problems with the dealer

Denied Warranty

I bought a brand new 2023 Harley Davidson Ultra Ltd in March 2023 with blacked out metal, mufflers, etc. (no chrome). In July I've noticed a fading spot inside one of the mufflers, where visually could be noticed. I went to the dealership and after a couple of weeks I got a call informing that Harley Davidson denied the claim because it was cosmetic and not impacting the functionality of the bike. The bike is under warranty and although it is cosmetic, i bought a blacked out bike and if the metal is showing, it is a quality issue and needs to be repaired. I called Harley Davidson and they told me the same and said that that was nothing that they can do. After looking at the pictures I also noticed the rust metal inside the muffler. A 3 month old bike with rust??? Unacceptable answer. They were quick to take my cash, and quick to deny my claim. Again, I bought a blacked out bike and there is a gray metal showing inside the muffler.

Cust service lacking or non existent, short handed not an excuse, “ever”. Then have the right person schedule accordingly

I'm in N. Florida. The key to any successful business is the customer service after the sale of any product. I deal with Adamec Harley, I'm guessing this was a bad Saturday to try and get an ECM flash for an oil cooler fan purchased the day prior. There are 4 Adamec Harley shops. I deal with 2 exclusively, one on bay meadows and the other one that's recently built in st. Augustine, both, seemed not to give a *** about helping me with my situation, but the day prior they were helpful as *** when I was purchasing Almost 400 dollars of product. Both shops said they only had 2 techs available for customer service, and those 2 techs at each location were swamped, the other techs that were scheduled were helping out with other activities in their respective.. Shops. They didn't have adequate help for paying customers due to the fact of improper scheduling, IMHO. I went to the st. Augustine's area shop first, then to bay meadows road shop. I didn't feel like riding to Daytona to have the ECM flashed, my guess is it probably would have gotten done, they are owned by a car guy, they understand customer service and making customers happy, so customers will return. Maybe Harley should implement a loaner vehicle program for their so-called valued customers, give them a ride until their motorcycle is repaired. Seems feasible just saying. If they don't service or perform services or anything that is needed to accommodate the paying customer and see his/her needs are met, maybe a different line of work should be considered, that's what techs are there for. The Indian motorcycle is a better bike, has better engineering, reliability is superior definitely better riding, more horse and TQ. I'm guessing HD will be so expensive as if they aren't already, and they don't offer standard features that Indian does, that HD want folks to pay for. It's everyone's choice, won't be long before Harley is out of business due to way too expensive product, no bang for the buck. Should try the original American made motorcycle, Indian. Adamec more than likely has lost a loyal customer, I don't think you all give a *** I'll wait on the excuses as to why both those shops only had 2 available techs each on a Saturday.. Customer service shouldn't be - we can flash it for you today if you allow us to install it for you today at an 1.5 hour labor cost for install and a .5 ECM labor flash price. My time is valuable and is in short supply, like a lot of folks. Had a Saturday off, thought this simple process could get accomplished, guess it was too daunting to accomplish. I bet during bike week, techs are available to service customer needs. Just saying

Emerald coast harmey davison sold me a junk bike. No way they inspected it or made sure it was safe for my ride home! LOW ON OIL!!

Bought a bike thats messed up from harley davison in florida at emerald coast. Didnt wash it. Exhaust is completely broken. Didnt change the oil or do anything to the bike. After I bought it and already paid for it they then told me it has no keys. Knowing I'm from Missouri that's a big deal!! Told me not to worry about it! Sales manager calls and argues its normal to sell them without keys. I tried to get them to do something to help me and was basically ignored. I'm a die hard harley guy. This is my 6th harley and I'm 27. I got atleast 15 buddies we got riding Harleys now. Bout to turn my back on harley! They are high $$ for customer service! I stopped at 4 Harleys on the way and had great experiences at all. Even had a bike with me got bad gas and they got us on the road again very promptly. Chattanooga Harley( white lightening) was amazing. But emerald coast was horrible! yet, now I'm sitting on a $19k harley tho won't even pass inspection. There was bolts laying in saddle bags from speakers. They didn't even look at this bike before they sold it! Also nobody mentioned no abs. No fob! No security! No keys! And they said it had navigation. It does not. The radio turns stations in the rain. I just can't believe they sold a bike thats not ready to ride. And they passed its inspection yet the exhaust is broke in half. I'm gonna spend $1000 a day after I by it just to make it safe to ride!? There's atleast 10 harley guys that I ride with and I can't wait to tell them what a harley dealership did to me. It'll blow there minds. Ive always loved harleys, My house, shop, boots, clothes, glasses, coats, stickers on trucks and cars all decorated with harley! My house and shops have giant harley davison steel cut outs on the front. I'm from a die hard harley family and I'm so freaking let down. I wish I would of bought one from Pensacola harley! They are much more informative!

Hog membership is ***

I had a blowout on my rear tire in the Ozarks, Arkansas, called in my hog membership for help, got someone from who knows what country, gave him my info and never heard back from him. After an hour I called back, the first guy never entered me in the system. Harley Davidson in Rogers, pig trail said their driver was gone for the day so they couldn't come. So I called back HOG, a lady answers this time, took my info and told me a driver would contact me shortly. After another hour I get a text from hog stating I had to pay 157.00 so I had towing on my contract to nearest dealership, but I paid it with my card and waited, here it is 3 hours later and no call. I phoned my motorcycle insurance and they sent a trailer to get me back to the hotel. I phoned HOG service again and cancelled my credit card payment. Thankfully the hotel owner borrowed a trailer the next morning and we got my bike over to Pig Trail HD and they replaced my tire... Very disappointed in their Hog program, I will not renew my contract in 2025.

Accident

I guess the only way to solve a problem with Harley. Davidson is to go to their corporate office. Where I will be heading shortly. I bought a trick and everyone in the dealer. And everyone knew I had neuropathy very, very bad and I ended up having an accident on there bike and I am not able to ride a trike even and they won't communicate with me

Not honoring Warranty

My 2022 Electra Glide has metal showing thru the gas tank , Harley says it was caused by my pants rubbing the tank , you have to be a complete idiot to believe this is true ..There is absolutely no possible way a pair of Jeans would wear thru the paint in the 6 month I have had this bike , my previous 14 Harleys never had an issue with any paint .Harley does not stand behind their warranty yet they charge you thru the *** for their bikes . This will be my last Harley.

To talk to a human

Several things happened and I have been unable to speak with a human since 5/25/2023 when I placed the order. Several things have happened. 1. I paid with PayPal like usual and I never got a confirmation email or order number from the site. I have ordered many times with you all and was shocked so I tried to reach out however NOONE answers your 800#. For days I have called and have been in the que of please stay on the line it has me in the que for about 45 mins to an hour and then hangs up on me and I have to start all over again. Super frustrating when you are trying to find out about your order. 2. I did end up receiving a package from HD in Ohio, the store that fulfilled it. It had someone else's packing slip with ALL their information on it and the pair of $170 shoes I ordered were in the box. However, the shoes are labeled a size 12 but fit like a size 14 so we can not use them and would not as THEY ARE USED SHOES! $170 for shoes that are sized wrong, have scuff marks, the bottoms are dirty, and the shoe box was crushed and bent. It appears they may have been returned and maybe they sent the wrong box... 3. I have again been trying to get in touch with a human to exchange them for a size 11 I and get shoes that are not used.

Complaint

I've been waiting on a part to be delivered to my local dealership since January 17. I've already paid $529.68 for this part. What is going on with Harley? I purchased the part from Oakdale NY HD. My cutomer # is 4022. My invoice # is 679595.

Product doesn't fit

I've sent 6 emails to online store, and a couple random HD emails I found about a product that doesn't work for my bike. Can someone please return an email.

Store customer service

Changing employees often and changing what they have said to me and promised I find Harley is very overrated after spending 30,000 on the bike and then 10,000 in upgrades the people who work there dont realize the clients pay there salary smart remarks and *** attitude had freee pickup and delivery when I Baught my bike had maintenace done.. exhaust .. motor and all of a sudden the delivery guy quits and they tell me no no delivery and that is not free and was never free and we never said that but the manager telling me this is a new manager like if he knew what the *** he was talking about its a joke I thought I was buying the best quality and serviced bikes but Harley is gonna keep loosing money they have no structure probably why they are selling less and less bikes I have had several problems already with the service I received but in the end my words and experiences will help others réalisé that Harley has no policy to follow but act as if they are always right

Have.had contact with a harley rep. No satisfaction recieved.

Was told that dealerships are independently owned and they cant dictate to them. Well ive got a contract paid in full and still valid.

I have not heard anything from harley. Since you have communicating power maybe you can ask them why not help a life long cash paying customer of your products. I am just suprised since another sale is involved here with what i must do to ride again.

So far no one dealer has offered a viable resolution. I bought this bike on my birthday paid cash and retired same day.

My brother bought one same day same way together.

Then i bought a traded in Shovelhead from the back same way same day. Thats 3 bikes sold, paid for...

I own a 2018 limited low custom bike a dealer only optioned bike. Ive lost the use of my right arm thru a surgery that i had to have and can no longer ride my bike. Ive been trying to get a dealer tk pick it up since i cant drive it. Do the warrenty work in it and appraise it for trade in on a new trike. They want me to hire a wrecker to deliver it to them. Not happening never putting that nice bike on a wrecker.

Locked in to Junk Motorcycle

!I had not ridden in years and told myself for a long time I was getting another bike - started looking in 2021 and saw an ad on Letgo - applied and called me - I purchased a 201* ***, which the ad applied for was a 883, however, due to me not having the best credit and the payment was affordable, I bought it! So happy, other than you could not change any parts on the 750 except pipes, which I did change to make the bike louder, I purchased a house in 2022 and still riding my 750 - never needed work, never left me stranded, awesome bike. HD called me a few weeks prior to me closing on house and stated that I had perfect payment history and paying high interest and they wanted to assist in less interest being such a good paying customer. I could not make any changes due to buying the house but had told him after I close, I will make appt, which I did. I looked around and like the sound of a 2012 xlr 1200c so they did the paperwork - YES, my interest went down to 3% with $500 down and trade in of 2015. At that time I did not know what a mistake I was making - I am upside down on the loan owing $12,000 and a bike that has a value of 3-5,000 and has been in the shop 4-5 times, at which costs me $50 every time. I barely get to ride the bike as every time I go to start it needs a jump and supposidly got a brand new battery the 1st time in the shop, Then it had an ignition problem, and an oil leak, and now again, every time I want to ride it does not start and has to be charged. I have not ridden the bike in over a month as it never starts and by the time l charge, it is dark - I wanted to take this bike back (traded in750 in April 22 in return for this hunk of *** - totally modified and nothing but issues) I tried to trade in and get a softail slim (again they called me) but I owe so much for a hunk of junk I cant even get rid of sell or nothing - so are you telling me I am stuck with a bike I can barely ride and pay a loan that is ridiculous for a bike with no value - Harley's answer is Need Cash and higher credit and then MAYBE they will assist me to buy yet another bike maybe - I dreamed of having another bike and I wish I could just get my little 750 back pretty no issues started every time now I am stuck with a hung of junk - man's wrenching bike - and can't even ride - here it is again Sat Jan 29th and can't get started and can't ride...am so upset and disappointed - I worked so hard to get a bike after 20 years and because I am a 100 lb woman of 55, I was swindled - now I am stuck with no value, no bike and a hefty loan - I can't sell - can't ride - so I am paying $12000 for absolutely nothing and if I want to continue to pay the deducible when It comes back dead and can barely EVER ride Harley I thought you valued your customers - my dream is ruined!! I just bought a house and will never have cash to use - so good job you got rid of the hunk of junk - resold my 750 and earned the $ back and I have nothing to show but a piece of *** I can't ride and a loan that is overextended!!! Thanks for not working with me to make right your mistake! While I appreciate the interest deduction I was happier with the 26% I was paying - at least I could ride and had something to show and ride I as 55 and in a house payment and will never be able to save $ to trade and I would not care how long or how much interest if monthly affordable and got to ride!!! During the trade-in I had indicated that I was interested in another bike but was told they had already started the paperwork on this bike and like a sucker I kept my mouth shut - Oh lets not forget the AWESOME maintenance plan I got so they knew it would be in the shop ALWAYS and make $ there to...I gave them payoff (Berts) and mileage and have still not been told what I could do to trade in on softail slim any year used...
