Issues with customer service

Hello, I made an appointment for my son cailen Roy-sutton for today at 10:30 am. When I arrived I was told there was no appointment made for us and the woman was extremely rude to me and basically called me a liar In a very unprofessional tone. My son and I waited three months for this appointment. She rebooked cailen for June 5. My son was hit by a car on April 14th in my town in st.thomas. I just remembered I called the office not long after when my son was released from Victoria hospital, and I asked if it was ok if my son was feeling ok to make his appointment that he comes with a cast on. I wanted to know if it was ok with the office and she said it was. I have the number saved in my phone the day I called and spoke to someone at the office at 1010 Talbot street. So that was my proof that I called I Infact did call the office in town and made my son's appointment there. I just phoned the office again now to remind the woman this and she started yelling at me!! My son and my boyfriend who picked me up said that the woman was extremely rude for no reason at all and she made it seem like It was my fault. I'm not sure what else to do but I have never been treated like this before. Thank you for your time!

Paid almost $400.00 for glasses I cannot use.

The clerk "Marjorie" remedied the prescription for the first pair of glasses I purchased by allowing me to sign a consent form for the use of a much older prescription. When I went to pick up the 2nd pair (at Store #065) the prescription was too strong even though the clerk assured me that she would fix the issue if the prescription was ground incorrectly. Given that the first pair were fixed correctly, I paid her the remainder for the second pair On January 25, 2023 I got an email stating that she would send my glasses to Store # 065 to be picked up (this location is near my place of employment). (Receipt dated March 1st, 2022, $391.61/ Clerk No.1603). She stated she would not fix my glasses without my payment first. When I went to pick up the glasses they were still too strong and I left them behind. They were returned to the original location at Bloor St. (I sent a letter via email and hard copy to the Queensway location on February 17th, 2023 notifying the lab of this issue. I told them the lenses were too strong and caused nausea due to over-magnification. I told them I am a teacher and need to be able to see properly to do my job. "Marjorie" called me and stated that she had the paperwork proving that she asked for the prescription to be changed. She refused to return my money even though the Hakim Optical website explicitly states that money is returned if the customer is not satisfied. I told her I would be filing a complaint which if not resolved would be forwarded to small claims court of Ontario). If you feel you can resolve my complaint I will submit all necessary documents. Thank you

Poor product

Lenses were scratched within a week. Was having headaches. Went to my optometrist. Lens focal point wrong. Another pair, lenses in wrong eye. Another pair, lenses upside down. Never again. They also took all of my insurance.

Hakim Ajax Avoid!

I was shopping for new lenses... walked in, he offered me house brand for $500 or brand name for $600, when he thought I was shopping around he dismissed me and took the next person that walked in. What a moron! Now I know why this optical is rated soo low. I then went to WInners Optical on Harwood. They charged me HALF the price and were sooooo kind, caring and really explained everything to me.Hakim Ajax

Refused to pay for the mistake you make.

So Hakim optical district manager had reach out to me in regards to the mistake they have made. He have come find out that was their mistake ,yet he still would like for me to pay the difference of $200 for their error, so I refused . He then said he would speak to...

My problem is that I order two pairs of glasses paid for them, and upon they called me to collect them I have come to find they were not what I requested, yet the store clerks insist I pay the difference before I can get them change to what I requested in the first place, so I would like to have this resolved promptly, for I need my glasses urgently.

Complaint

As lI have visited the Timmins Hakim store to purchase a set of glasses in late November. This is my second ever set of glasses and both were purchased at Hakim. During the visit I dealt with Dawson. She was miserable and rude then. I am on ODSP and she wouldnt assist in making the process easy. I was told I needed to return to the ODSP office a couple times which is out of the city and in a location 20 mins away. (Not an acceptable situation for someone on ODSP especially someone unlike myself who may not have a vehicle or even in a wheel chair) I asked if there was a way to do any of it through fax. She didnt want to hear anything I had to say. I needed to wait over 3 weeks to receive my glasses. During this I would call to see if they had arrived. Any other employee would look in the computer , tell me the status and tell me to call the next day or day after to check. However Dawson would immediately say they arent in in a rude tone and hang up!! I finally received them and during this time Dawson was made manager due to the old manager no call/no show. Complaining that she was made manager because that and being short handed. My glasses werent fitted to me so they havent been a comfortable fit and with the lenses in I find them quite heavy. However, I Do NOT want to deal with this extremely rude Dawson!!! So I just kept them. Fast forward to January and a screw falls out so does a lens now Im left with no choice. I go online to do my research on exchanges. I arrive and see there are other employees, Perfect! I approach a gentlemen and explain my lens fell out but I am really looking to exchange. I will even just take what I had last time. (They were lost) He says sure let me take a look. All the sudden over comes DAWSON! Takes my glasses from him and as shes putting in a screw and I ask him if I am able to keep these until the others would arrive? SHe says Im fixing them. You arent getting new frames! Thats not the way it works! We dont give glasses away for free! Your lenses are made for you Now I am not stupid and well aware everyones lenses are made for them specific. I also know I just did my research and the website shows. ALL Hakim frames are for up to a year. So I say to her Dawson I believe I can exchange up to a year. She looks directly at me and says I think I know my policies. So I said ok but the website says please look it up. Ask head office as well because that is what the website says. She didnt nor wouldnt and she had 2 employees under her there! She refused to help fixed my glass screw and handed them rudely saying Have a nice day (snarkily) my blood was literally boiling I havent returned there with broken glasses for a month bcuz I did NOT want to deal with her at all. Now she has taken over from the gentleman I Chise to deal with and continues her nastiness from past visits! I leave telling her to find a *** job she actually likes shove it up her *** and go to *** I am very aware this is inappropriate and never would have however she has ruined ANOTHER DAY FOR ME!! All I want are glasses!! I highly suggest you get her the *** out of there she is ruining your business. There were 2 other employees there that werent rude but I am sure very uncomfortable as I was. And I am sure either one would be better suited as your manager and if you still need I have many years in managerial experience and will happily send my resume lol. I absolutely refuse to resented Hakim in Timmins unless or until I here she is GONE! Since, I have have been told by many, many ppl tell me they have taken there business elsewhere due to that girlas well! Its been a very bad experience this time around. And I returned for my second pair from there because I was so happy with both service and convenience. If I am the only complaint about Dawson I guarantee it is only because it was difficult to find a way to complain. Please for your business sake Lose Dawson!! Send her on her way!!! I have Never written a complaint for anything. This is how serious I am! It was the worst service from beginning to end. Thank you for listening and I hope you do whats right for your business. I also found out after I got my glasses that there was a sale on and I could have gotten more than one pair. She didnt even talk to me about that! Yes I want 2 pair of course! But I messed out on that as well!!!

To let others know I am in Canada

Firstly when I saw the frames I really liked them , but the girl behind the counter never gave any advice of how they fit of my head ie. whether the arms were to long for my ears I have a small head and small ears lol... have had trouble getting them to properly fit my face they have had a few adjustments and still they are harder to fit re: thick temple plastic which makes it harder I may end up in my old frames or having to purchase frames they will work with my facial structure.Be

No glasses...

On November 3, 2022 I had an eye exam and purchased 2 pair of glasses that I use for driving. After a few phone calls and one personal visit to the store in Lindsay Ontario, I was told that their delivery girl had not brought in my glasses and they had no idea when this would take place. It's been over a month now and I am not happy with this "oh well" attitude. If I was responsible for a business and this happened, I would certainly take immediate steps to rectify this problem.

No eyeglasses yet

November 3, 2022, I attended Hakim Optical in Lindsay Ont and after my eye examination I bought 2 pairs of glasses for driving...After repeated phone calls and a visit to the store I still have not got my glasses...Their excuse? No delivery girl. Well if I was running a business and something wasn't performing, I darned well make sure it was rectified...Can you help me with this? I really need these glasses for driving.

Very poor customer service.

I was told that my glasses would be ready in 2 weeks. Called in, was told that the lenses were in but it would take another 48 hours to have them placed in frames. Was told I would get a call when done. No call by 3 week period so I go into store to get glasses. No glasses ready. They tell me that they are not capable of drilling the holes in the lenses at their store (uhm... why wasn't I called to let me know that they had to resend glasses to mainland to get that done?) No reason, apparently. Why hadn't they sent the glasses to get done instead of letting them sit there in a tray for a week? (Uhm... shuffling feet and silence again). I had ordered two pairs. Was told that the lenses for the other pair would be much too big for the frames that I had ordered. Why hadn't anyone told me this before sending away for those lenses? Overall very poor service. It's as if the folks working at this store (Topsail Road, St. John's, NL) had never taken the trouble to serve a customer before. They certainly didn't do much to help me with my purchase... and never called to let me know that there were issues with the glasses.

Unhappy product and unprofessional services

I am quite sure that hakim optical is and always were and still are an amazing and excellent service. However I am only complaining about the fact that certain employees should not be working with the public, staff not the company itself. Get it right

They went and put in a invoice for my insurance I seen them in 2019 and they are saying I seen and got my glasses in 2021 won’t give me proof so I can get a new prescription glasses. Not happy at all

Im covered every 2 years for a new prescription as my eyes are getting worse and I need a new prescription they put in an invoice to my insurance for 2021 when I last seen them in 2019 . Now I cant get a new prescription and Im suffering from headaches and pain in my eyes. When I called for proof they said they couldnt give it to me that they dont have email only fax.

Poor quality frames.

I have been buying my frames from Hakim, for years and I cannot say, that I have one pair to show for it, due to the product being made poorly. All my new glasses from last year broke after a few months, I will never buy my frames for Hakim again. A very disappointed customer.

Horrible quality of frames, the lens keeps falling out.

They refuse to exchange their faulty frames, even though another optician stated the lens don't fit in their frame!

PIST ABOUT EVERY THING

FRAMS BENT, CANT SEE WITH THEM ON, THEY WANT 99 BUCK FOR A NEW PAIR, HAKIM IS A *** HOLE, DONT GO THERE.

The store (Lindsay, Ontario) has not contacted me in regards to my problem.

I have always worn glass eyewear. I decided to purchase plastic this time because glass one were going to take months. The sales person never said these glasses would not take any heat, like sitting in a car. I cleaned my glasses and now the glasses are blurry. I went to the store and the sales person said that happened to my glasses when I opened the oven. Such a bad product and communication. I am a senior and had been waiting to be able to get new glasses and now the store hasnt gotten back to me to resolve this issue. That was in June 2022
