Do Not Fall For This Company!

I recieved a call from one of their representatives 2 or 3 months ago, asking if I would like to continue with my subscription. I asked who they were and they told me. Never heard of the company before. Never signed anything. He told me that I signed an agreement with them back in 2018. If I did, I never got one magazine! Told them to stop my so called subscription, that I didn't want it no longer. The representative wouldn't listen and had me transferred to someone else. He got on the phone and said that I couldn't cancel because of the agreement with them. I yelled at him and said that I hadn't heard of their company and I never signed anything! He wouldn't listen. Now I'm paying $81 a month for magazines I DO NOT WANT! This is a horrible co called company.

Cancellation

money is still being withdrawn from my account after I have already cancelled subscriptions. I never wanted this. et somehow i got roped into it. in may of 2019 I was told I had three payments of 156.18 left to pay starting in may. its august and they are still taking money out. so after they raised the payment for a subscription I didn't want they have taken another payment I did not authorize. so when I called them today they me the person I needed to talk to was unavailable. so now I will be retaining a lawyer. it is illegal to take money without authorization.

Nice customer service agents but a rip off no less

So... I get a call saying “Do you want to cancel your subscription?” And I’m like “yes” because I had a magazine subscription from another company and mistook it for them. So the said “We’ll cancel it but, for like 49.90/ mo after 5 years it’ll be cancelled” I should’ve knew from then that I never had a subscription with them previously. They must have gotten my info from other services. So I get a letter in the mail a few days later reinterating the agreement and on the back it said “You can cancel in 7 days without obligation but if after it will be cancellation fees.” So I called them and said that I didn’t want the subscription anymore because I confused them with a company I already got magazines from which was through this trial for another company. They said “well we already financed the first half and to square it away you’ll have to pay $499. We’re a finance company... “ No one explained before what they actually were. So now I have to do two payments with the month to them. Lesson learned: “ Be mindful of services you use and don’t answer the phone when you had a long day and tired” . Idk where they got my info from but, I’m not signing up for anymore trials with extra stuff and hidden fees. Custom service agents were nice but of course they never fully explain ish until you call again confused about the bill. The second agent was nice and actually explained it. Word of Caution: Don’t buy from them unless you do your research first, don’t answer the phone if you never had an account with them, ask a ton of questions, never “confirm” your address or card number. Lesson learned. SHALL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN

Rude managers and customer service

I wanted this subscription to stop and when I was constantly told that I couldn't stop the subscription. When I my credit card was maxed out I called the credit card company to file a dispute the charges because I needed to pay a vet bill which is more important. I kept getting calls that I needed to resolve my subscription issues. When I got a disturbing letter from you i called to tell you that I was the person that started the dispute and that couldn't afford the magazines or the 59.99 a month. I was told that i would have to pay a lump sum to stop the subscription. I was mad because i don't have 838.00 to throw around and said you don't care that I have other necessities to pay for , I know that it was said because my husband heard it. My husband payed it to get this to stop and only gave you permission for 1 time payment. I never want to hear from you again.

The biggest scam artists in existence to date.

I am so terribly sorry to hear that this company has ripped you off......I too have fallen victim to them and they even gave out my debit card info to what I have came to the conclusion that are all fake company's in cahoots with Gulf Coast Readers and somehow coincidentally are all out of the same area in Florida, and were charging me for services/products never rendered nor have I ever spoken to or heard of these places but all claiming that I have signed up for them. Long story short, the day I answered the phone when golf coast readers called me and solicited/hardselled/scammed me into paying for these godforsaken magazine's was the day that I will regret answering the phone for the rest of my life. Anyway, I would love to speak with the author of this review asap to talk more about how it worked out for you in the end and hopefully find a means to resolve my problem as well and I look forward to hopefully talking to you soon.

Gulf Cost Reader, SCAM

I have been fighting with this company for three year. Last one I made a one time payment of $594 with was supposed to complete my obligation to them and stop my service. Today I received a call to see if I want to stop my automatic renewal. I told them that I was done with them, and no, I do not want or need an automatic renewal. That is when my "special" account manager told me that the amount I paid was only for the fist half of my subscriptions. That as a company they could not keep the total subscription on one file, so now I have another 20 months that I am responsible for. This company and it employees are a bunch of scam artists. I told the guy I was talking to, Jeff, that I hope he thinks of his mother when he is doing this to people. I can not understand why the BBB can not put a stop to these type of scans.
