Not good service

I have had Guardian Protection for 4 years have had good service until my unit went out during a storm back in June!! They keep telling me I am under contract and cannot cancel yet they will not send anyone out to fix it!! They keep calling saying I have no connection they are calling my back up numbers saying no connection. I have called repeatedly letting them know my unit is t working!! They keep charging me the monthly charge!!

Would Never Recommend

My husband and I bought our first home and made it VERY clear that we were first-time homebuyers and were very overwhelmed and unsure of the process of installation. All I knew if that I wanted a security system. The man who installed the system had us sign the agreement on his phone and then never provided us with a copy of the contract. A little while later we had a false alarm and was charged $40 by our local municipality because they said we were supposed to have a permit for the alarm, which we were never made aware of (again, first-time homebuyers). When I called Guardian to discuss the issue, the customer service reps were rude and threw the contract in my face and said it was my responsibility. I then proceeded to try and cancel and was surprised with a $1200 early termination fee, which we were never warned about. Now we're stuck in this contract for 5 years and stuck in this home because if we decide to move we either have to talk to new homeowners into taking over the awful contract or paying the $1200 fee to move the service. All in all, Guardian Protection is just very sneaky and deceitful.

Guardian Protection has contacted us. They have been very cooperative in correcting this matter. Thanks Dan, problem solved.

BEWAREBOn June 25, 2022, we had an appointment with Brian "Security Technology Consultant", I ask if we could get a video doorbell and was told that would cost me $269. (We could get at less) no video doorbell. Got "3-1-1" security system. We received e-mail thanking us for our payment. The e-mail also offered free video doorbell till 7/31/2022. Called Brian, "that promotion is over", "you don't qualify". Next phone call, "I'll get back to you". Have never heard from Brian again. We have called main office and been told someone would call us within 24 hours, still have not talked to anyone. Install date was to be July 26 they called to reschedule for Aug. 9. I believe this is now after the promotion date. Do we really want your service?

Alarm going off and no call back from security company to make sure everything and everyone is ok

We have our home security with GUARDIAN HOME SECURITY, after sending an alarm to our home at 11:38 pm for garage door tampering they did not call back to our home to make Sure everyone and everything was safe and ok. Any time the alarm goes off THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO CALL AND ASK FOR SECURITY CODE AND CHECK TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS SAFE. They did not.

Would not recommend

After a few tough first months of service the service has been satisfactory. When the crook signed us up he did say that it was a 5 year contract but that contractually they would only be able to hold us to 2 years. Called today to cancel service and was told there would be an early cancellation fee of $1800. Should of known better. My bad

Long time customer gets the SHAFT

I've been a loyal customer for almost 10 years, paying the inflated monitoring costs to cover the cost of equipment. Even at 8 years of service, I have paid over $6500 in fees. I would think that they have definitely recovered their expenses in the equipment I have. I had an issue with a router and 2 of my cameras were not working. So, because we are a WORKING FAMILY, I had to wait over a week for service on a Saturday. The service guy came and was a TOTAL JERK. There was an issue with the router and power. He did absolutely nothing but restore power and the cameras came up. "Here - I need your signature" - unknown to me a bill for $115! The technician had an attitude from the moment he drove in the driveway. So, I call customer service and ..... NOTHING! I really liked this company when I got the system but it's obvious, they have grown, been bought out or whatever and have NO concept of customer service! Word to the wise, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GUARDIAN PROTECTION.

Guardian solved the problem

I am pleased to have received a call from a very kind, understanding and professional lady by the name of Debbie. She explained to me that Guardian did not install this particular system, but only provides the monitoring service. With that said, Debbie went to work and provided a solution to our problem that was, frankly, beyond my expectations. No fighting, no arguing. Debbie resolved the problem quickly. There will always be an occasional misunderstanding in business, and it all depends on how the company deals with the situation. The way Debbie handled this causes me to change my evaluation of Guardian and say that I would be willing to do business with them in the future and recommend same.

Resolved: Illegal installation.

I was contacted by a very kind and professional lady with Guardian by the name of Debbie. I learned that the system was not installed by Guardian, but by an independent company.

Guardian provided only the monitoring service. Never the less, Debbie and Guardian stepped...

My 85 year old widowed mother-in-law, Patsy, lives in a house that my wife and I built and own. Patsy entered a drawing for, what she thought, was a free security system. She "won" the drawing and ended up getting the system installed, signing a contract, and then finding out she had to pay a monthly fee, and was locked into a multi-year contract. She does not use the system and wants it removed. The system was installed without our permission and we want it removed. This company refuses to discuss this with me because I do not have the password that my 85 year old mother-in-law cannot remember. If you need a security system, look somewhere else.

Lies about contract

Horrible company. I signed 3 year contract they are telling me I signed 5 year contract I know for a fact I only signed for 3. They have not supplied documents confirming this. If this is the case the salesman lied several times during his sales pitch. Horrible customer service and lie after lie. Several other people in my community have had same issue with this company.

Faulty video cameras and very poor responce

I had some people casing the homes in my area and one night someone parked in front of my house and got out of car and went up to everyone's house with a flash light looking into windows in houses . I was told next day by neighbor and I went to review my cameras and found three cameras with the night vision not working ( could not see anything from cameras ). These cameras are a little over a year old. I called customer support and told them I need someone at my house to resolve issues right away and they scheduled something 11/2 weeks later ( I also told them to make sure to bring cameras with technician so he could change out ). He came today and have no cameras and now I do not know when anyone will be back and I still have the problem. . this is the worse support I ever seen, to tell them of my issue and to take this long and they know of the se issue. What am I paying for maybe that's why they are not number 1

Horrible

Been with guardian for 1.5 weeks and alarm already broke. Problems getting technician scheduled in a timely manner to fix however when they initially installed an upgraded panel and realized their mistake they gave me less than 24 hours notice to get into my home and swap out the panel. As&$07es

Promised the world delivered minimum

Always a ADT customer, Moved TO NC and Guardian was for my new builder. The installed the cameras high so could not even view anything, the wiring was horrible. They have a box with the wiring and the wiring is awful, a child could have done this. In addition, the is no saving of videos, what waste. Horrible

Non-functioning video cameras

We've been a loyal customer for the past 7-8 years. We've never had a incident requiring fire or law enforcement. Every payment has always been made on time as we have auto-draft. We called in January 2019 to inquire about video cameras and monitoring, and renewing our contract for the next 60 months. Based on the information provided to us, we decided to move forward renewing our contract for 60 months and with the installation of 4 video cameras and an increase in our monthly bill to account for the new video monitoring. I had 4 video cameras and router installed in mid-January. Since they were installed they have not been functioning correctly. I've called Guardian Protection Services 5 times, since the cameras were installed, to get this issue resolved. I spoke with their customer service reps and their tech support dept. We did extensive troubleshooting over the phone to no avail...the cameras are still not functioning properly. I had a service tech from Guardian come back out today (2/23/19) to help fix these cameras...he said they are now working after he did a few things on the app at my house, but they are still not working. I would like these faulty cameras and router to be removed (taken back) and I want Guardian to no hold me responsible for the $846.68 bill for these 4 non-functioning video cameras, and change my monthly contract/payment back to what it was before I had the cameras installed (the monthly rate went up b/c of adding these cameras)
