Outage

Several customers weren't able to donate at the location due to a power outage within the facility... Is there a way to be compensated something for the way. If not, we truly understand the inconvenience was no fault of the facility nor was it the staffs fault. Every other business near the center had power.

Serious problem with one of your centers

It's very complicated.i. waiting to hear from Jared Reardon .regional manager.i was seriously verbally abused by the assistant manager Hermes Vasquez and I was injured by his deplorable despicable unprofessional mannerisms. I will be contacting an attorney to represent me if this is not amicably resolved in the next 2days.My car has 3000wirth of damage as result of leaving the center and having to come back because I was not compensated correctly and when I called he hung up on me 3yimes..picked up phone when I was asking receptionist to transfer me to have him..do I turned around to come back into center after he swung his arms and pointed at me in my face to leave his center..consequently, I was rear ended by a hit and run pulling back into the center. His mannerisms as a professional are despicable, deplorable and completely chauvinistic.he speaks to and treats people like they are dogs beneath his feet ...I am asking to be reimbursed for my car damage my ER hospital bill all due to hiS uncompensation and negligence..

Dissatisfied donor

I have been a donor on and off for 5+ years and before it was worth my time & now they only pay well for brand new donors it discourages long term donors, such as myself from returning and they need to keep returning in order to be able to make the medicine, however because of the pay scale makes it not worth it for returning donors.

This place is no good they close early all the time that makes you lose out on money I wouldn't go there again not be able to donate so you Lose, tired of the bs

They must get ten sick days a month because I don't see no new workers somewhere else it's sad they don't care about the people that donate there

Deferment

After a donation on Friday evening I passed out at a close by restaurant. The entire reported it. By Saturday I was deferred & could not return Sunday for my 2nd donation of the week. All nxt week I called Griffols 4 times to see when I could return. No doctor available all that week to review my papers. It was 12 days missed to donate while waiting for an OK to return. 4 possible times for me to earn needed income denied! Please make this paperwork review available on line so a dr at neighbor Griffols can review while 1 dr is on vacation! Some of us rely on the income which is also dwindling!

Weird Requirements & Dirty

Original review Jul 19, 2023
I brought all documents as described on their website, but they wouldn't take a laminated social security card, my birth certificate, or my passport- all DEFINITIVE forms of ID accepted by foreign countries, our federal government, multiple state governments, and other plasma donation centers within the last few years. Offered an alternative to verify identity- a soft credit check. They used the rejected social security card to process that credit check! Also they had weird mail requirements to verify my place of residence. First donation was unsuccessful because they used (I think) a trainee on me despite recognizing I have small veins. She completely missed and stuck the needle under my vein. They rejected my attempt to donate a second time because of the bruise they created, despite the fact that it is a yellow bruise and even the techs didn't understand the restriction. Biolife checks me every time for the same reason and approves me every time. Customer service skills are non existent. They clearly don't care if anyone returns. All questionnaire machines are down but one so you have to wait forever to get in, despite scheduling appointments. Their app doesn't work well- many people having issues in person and over the phone in the hours I spent there. Can't take digital finger prints worth a damn. AND the women's restroom was out of toilet paper and had many bloody band aides and empty bottles on the floor at 9:00 AM- meaning they did not clean the restrooms the night before or that morning. And their plasma machines are the older, slower kind. I left disappointed I could not benefit from the new donor bonus, but not disappointed since I don't have any risks in working with a dirty facility. I strongly recommend Biolife. They know what they are doing. They are helpful. They are nice. They are professional. The places are clean. Yes, I've been deferred by Biolife, too, but they care if I return and their explanations as to why are consistent and make sense- to their staff and to me.

Angry customer

First visit lasted a while, nearly finished and employee takes me to a room and asks about one medication I used to take. It's an anti inflammatory medication for joint pain or swelling. She proceeds to assume I have arthritis and tells me I am deferred. I try to explain that I have no physical diagnoses only mental. I told her I hadn't taken Celebrex in about a month. She argued with me about my health diagnoses and when asking to speak to anyone else, she rudely said "Why, they're going to back me up and tell you the same thing". 4 months later, no medication taken at all, I try donating, life saving plasma, and told immediately I was permanently deferred. I never heard permanently in March or I would have went through pissedconsumer.com then instead of letting go. However, after explaining I never stated I had any physical diagnoses & if needed, my Health provider will send information confirming. I was told by Supervisor there was nothing that could be done and how a lot of people backtrack or lie when they aren't able to get "the money" for donating. First off; I've donated in the past not for financial gain but to help save lives especially if your plasma is one needed or unique. Secondly, I was being made out to be a liar because Supervisor said we don't really know what was said in that room...please!!! I know exactly what was said and do not lie! When asking if I could provide documentation of diagnoses, the Supervisor said she would contact corporate to discuss but informed me that probably wouldn't help cause once permanently deferred really nothing can be done. This was a Monday so Supervisor said she'd call me and let me know by Thursday but if she doesn't get back with me to call her. Nearly 1 week after she was to call, I contacted customer support instead of calling. Especially after being called a liar about what was said to this young employee. Then customer support was helpful and nice. However, after telling story first time, I was put on hold. When he came back he couldn't hear me even though I was speaking and saying don't hang up. Well, he released call due to no response. Called right back, lady said they seen I called but no notes. Please tell me I don't have to repeat what I already was upset saying? I had to repeat it. Everything has been notated and I was told someone would contact me in the next few days.

Horrible service by lazy employees

The 1st issue was a young lady didn't want to work . I go in at the end of the day to make sure I got 2 donations in . It was during normal business hours. I got up for my appointment and started the process. She clearly didn't want to be there or something. Anyway she tells me my heart rate was 153 and I can't donate. She was totally lieing and didn't want to work. I go to the gym . I watch my heart rate on every machine. I was definitely under 100 . I told her we need to check again but I could tell she wasn't wanting to work or deal with me. So I left

Inappropriate Retention Of Confidential & Personal Information

Grifols are retaining Personal Information that they should not have in their system 10 to 12 years after you've stopped donating plasma to their facilities! This is a serious breach of security and the contract you agree to when becoming a donor! All personal documents and information should be completely discarded and deleted after six months of non donations!

No change

They do not honor their hours of operation and I feel like I am treated in a different manner than mostly men but other women as well those who are considered Mexican nationals and of course their staff who come to donate at their own facility.

Im demanding to be compensated for my emergency department visit right after donation. Your certifiedtech went through my vein and i experienced a lot of swelling and pain. The nurse on site had no idea what to do because shes new here. She then referred me to seek other medical attention. The urgent care rushed me to the hospital for an ultrasound. Later once I got home, I was vomiting a brown substance. Im reaching out to come to a resolution, hopefully outside of court. Her brute negligence has caused me time, pain, injury and inability to perform daily tasks. It is best to reach out to me through email. **Edit Not only did center staff urge me to go to the emergency room, but the urgent care I went to first urged me to go. The center did a follow up call just to hear what happened, then she simply hung up. I thought adults take responsibility for their mistakes. Especially when someones health is on the line. **Edit #2 The bruise is a few days following attempted donation. It hurts like *** Its 90 degrees in Tennessee but wearing a T shirt or tank top with this?? Im so embarrassed all because of an unqualified technician.

Okay so I failed to send this to the website under contact us couldn't find a number so I'm just going to use my usual way of doing things with pissedconsumer.com

I tried to send the following so there has been a new policy May 1st at the 8057 W Virginia Dr, Dallas, TX 75237 stating that you cannot donate plasma if you do not log in with the QR code through the app or website and the app/website won't work I enter the password that I had for my account it tells me wrong username email or password I try for 15 minutes to get a reset email sent to me on my email it didn't work until an employee up front had to send the password reset email, I went to reset my password with the password I was putting in normally and it was telling me I could not use an old password (or my current one for that matter) but i changed it then entered the changed new password it still didn't accept it after that it told me (too many password attempts), I got the staff to send a second reset email changed the password to the one I've been using, (back to it that is), still didn't work, (the Wi-Fi was slow and bad at the plasma) center (so I had to walk to schlotzsky's around the corner use their Wi-Fi still didn't work) (still couldn't get a reset email sent to me from my tablet) tried until it told me I had no more attempts left, and I think it's messed up I don't think it's right because I rode the bus clean across dallas, currently while am putting this together it's already 6: 27pm I won't make it back to the plasma center in time it would be nice to have my $50 compensation for my failed attempt to donate plasma today because I need it for the Greyhound, I'm not impressed spending my whole day on buses trying to get $50 and come back empty-handed, (there's something wrong with the servers probably as well), (because coming to the plasma center on the city bus the app will also time out my QR code and it won't be there by the time I get there setting it up from my house), ((walking into the plasma center today there wasn't a lot of people there seem like only people that have been using the same device they've been using to get through the back door to donate plasma we're the only ones able to donate)), but with their own Wi-Fi and Wi-fi from two other businesses an attempt to reset my password for my own device and entering the right password I still couldn't get my QR code to donate,, (the new policy is completely blocked me from donating plasma today)) and I'm not happy we need new (kiosk machines)
