BBB F Rating-Don’t purchase from Greenworks

I bought the 80v lawnmower. The self propelled did not work. I contacted Greenworks and trust me their hold times are a minimum of 30 minutes. The lady that took the call gave me a specific model that was better. Weeks went by with my grass growing tall and finally received the replacement lawnmower. Not the one I was to get, but their most cheap stripped down model. You can't talk to a manager, as I asked many times, and they would not take the calls. The customer service at Greenworks or lack of is the worst I have encountered. DO NOT BUY FROM GREENWORKS.

Tools are fine but customer service is useless

SLong story short I have spent $2000 in the last 4 months, I have like my tools, the 1st time I had a problem, customer service did nothing and would not even hear me out!!! Totally unprofessional, do not buy from them please

I had called for a replacement part, and the fellow I talk to was very helpful

I was trying to get the knot off of the the cover or the shield thing on the side, and in the process of getting that off, I broke the plastic cover.

Order #35400 not received (just the battery, not the lawn mower)

Hello I have sent several messages to the Support Service of Greenworks Tools and did not receive until I called the number recommended by pissed consumers (thanks !) Items delivered and parcel shipping number provided by the lady of greenworks I was able to reach (Jenny ). It would be better if greenworks would provide directly their number on the website !

Batteries will not hold a charge

I purchased my Greenworks self-propelled mower on April 16, 2023. I could mow my small front yard with both batteries then have to recharge them to mow my back and side yards. NOW after just under 3 months I can only mow about 1/2 of my front yard with the two batteries. They WILL NOT hold a charge for more than about 25 minutes for both batteries. This is ridiculous. Come on Greenworks, you gonna make this right?

Purchase part for trimmer. Still no reply from Grrenworks Serv ice. Waited on hold for 30 minutes too.

I have Greenworks string trimmer ST40L210 / 210**** / EDA75 7.5, ordered thru Amazon April 4th, 2020. I have lost the bolt and *** that connects/fastens the interchangeable heads. Looks like #4, page 14 in manual STF456. Please advise Steve Ives, Tacoma, WA

Total scam policy

TOTAL SCAM RETURN POLICY AND PRODUCT DISCRIPTION Terrible return policy, Can return order after 50 min of placing the order, by tracking the order status online it said order not fulfilled or shipped yet ( It's just 50 min ) !!! Customer service said we can not help you. then the only option is to receive the item then return it , and the shipping cost will be on me , they also are NOT able to provide me with how much it will cost to ship it back to them !!! the reason why I requested to return the item as they mis-discriped the item on the HeadTitle, did not specify if the mower is self propelled or Push, then by digging deep in the manual after looking around , found its PUSH and not self propelled. although similar models are well described. it seems they intentionally trying to mislead you and deceive you with their return policy. TOTAL SCAM. VERY VERY BAD EXPERIENCE And eventually they refused to post this review on their website

Warranty claim but have been unable to get anyone on the phone or chat for three solid months now

I have tried unsuccessfully for 3 SOLID MONTHS To speak to a living breathing human being and still havent been able to get through to a human being there. I literally have logged over 17 hours of staying on hold waiting for the next customer service representative to pick up and they never do. Ive spent probably another 10 hours attempting to chat with customer support only for their virtual assistant Vivian to send me round and round In circle references that lead nowhere and that are of no help at all. This is by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had with any company hands down. Ive all but given up to speaking to someone about a warranty claim on a blower that I bought 7 months ago and used less than 10 times if I could just speak with a human being, Id consider that a success but Im doubting theres even any humans that work there because I couldnt possibly imagine any human beings being that terrible at their job. For heavens sakes, all I want is to speak to a live agent but that is clearly impossible. So very disgusted!!

I was unable to registration my Tiller.

I was unable to make the Warranty Registration work after several attemps. I tried their "Expert" AI and it did not recognize the part number for the tiller nor would it give me the email address for customer support. I was on hold for 35 minutes with customer support. They do not truly understand customer service. I sincerely regret purchasing the tiller and not having used it yet I am tempted to return it to Lowe's and get my money back.

Extremely poor support.

My lawn mower arrived missing a small bolt. After being subjected to a lot of wasted time gathering irrelevant information for their customer service agent, I was subjected several times to long holds and having to endure awful music blaring in my ears at about 10x the volume of the agent's voice. Eventually I was told I'd have to wait 7-10 days for the part. Sorry *** but the grass isn't going to stop growing while I wait for this small part! I then told them how irresponsible this is and that they need to overnight a part ASAP. When I asked to escalate the issue he hung up. I called back but no return call after a long wait. I think I'm just going to return this to Amazon, so I can buy something from another manufacturer. There's no need to reward these companies for their carelessness and disrepect.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Your customer service is the absolute WORSE. I tried to get a status on an order I placed 5 days ago that has not yet shipped. First I tried to do the chat which is pointless because "Vivian" is not a real person. After going through the rigmarole of that to try to get to a real person, I am told that there was not a real person on the chat to talk to me. So then I call the number. I wait on hold for 30 minutes, which is RIDICULOUS. Greenworks is not that daggone busy at 7 PM on a Thursday unless you only employ 3 people to man the phones. I get some idiot that answers the phone and tells me he cannot find my order. WHAT SIR? I gave him the order number and he tells me he can't find it. I told him I don't know what to tell him - I ordered, got a confirmation, my money taken out of my account and everything. He puts me on hold for another 10 minutes to come back and tell me that the order went through and I should get it at some point and to be patient. AT SOME POINT? Is he dumb? I said you should be able to tell me when it is shipping out. He said he does not have any shipping information to give me. I say why is it taking so long? Then he proceeds to just make up stuff and tell me the order will ship in 7-10 business days. I say that is not what it says on your website. He then asks me what it says and I say YOU SHOULD KNOW YOU WORK THERE! It literally says orders ship the same day or the next day. He then gets annoyed with me and tells me he is just trying to help me so I shouldn't be irate. At this point, I am PISSED. I have gone through the chat, waited on hold for 40 minutes, was told you didn't have my order, waited on hold for you to find my order and make up crap to try to placate me, then told that I would get my order "at some point" and you want me to patient, and now you want to chastise me for being irate? Well needless to say I cussed him out and hung up. At this point, I STILL do not know where my order is and your customer service person is an ill-equipped jerk that should not be answering the phone. If I had another 40 minutes to kill, I would call and cancel my order and buy another power washer from somewhere else. RIDICULOUS.
