It's a scam!!!

I also entered my daughter.... I personally have entered an American modeling contest and it was legit. So I send my daughters photo in. I kept putting off paying the $20.00 entry fee. The 1st deadline was at the end of July. But after that I started receiving emails at least twice a day, saying I need to verify my entry before the deadline. Then the deadline was moved to the end of August. Then September. I also researched the contest. I looked it up on Google I read a lot of the reviews on different sites, like this one, and I have not read one review that said something good about it.

Great American pHOTO Contest

I entered my daughter into this contest and she won the november spot. Many people keep talking of how they spent money on entering their children and buying book. Many people did NOT read the rules and should have sent CS questions like I did. You DO NOT need to purchase anything and you DO NOT need to buy books. Because this is a free contest, the advertisements are there because the contest is being sponsored and this is the only way to afford for them to giveaway money. My daughter recieved her check and I paid no sort of fees. You do recieve many e-mails but that is because you registered to the contest. YOU ARE NOT AT ALL required to fill out any forms that does not pertain to the contest it self but when you first register to vote, you must go through these form to see IF you would be interested in any offer. I myself sent many questions to the CS because I was at first skepital but they walked me right through everything and reasured that I dont have to pay for anything. It is as great contest and very much LEGIT!!

Great american photo contest

My daughter did this contest I paid 153.90 for 2 book never got the books call the number to see what was going on the number has been disconnected so needless to say im out my money. They should aleast put a current number so people can contact them in cases like this if they are going to run stuff like this online. Really do hate websites that lure people in like this not fair to people. Must be some more we the people can do to *** out this kind of bad stuff and wrong doing in the world.

Great American Photo Contest

I had been told by everyone how gorgeous my baby was and I should send his picture in. I decided to do so a few months later. I found this contest and chose it because it was free and I saw the verisecure seal on their page. After I sent the picture in they sent several emails saying they wanted to enter him in the Fame and Fortune contest to win a $25,000. savings bond with an entrance fee of $19.99 and that the judges saw his picture and immediately wanted to publish his picture in a book " Most Beautiful Babies in America". If I wanted to order a copy it would be $69.99. I called my mom and mother-in-law and we were all going to buy a copy each. Right before I completed the order, I decided to check this company on the web as well as on the BBB website. I was upset to see continuous complaints of fraud against this very company. The BBB website showed over 60 complaints in the last three years on this company. If I had not seen these remarks from others, I might have put all of my family's accounts in peril. Thankyou all for your stories before I sent them my info. Also I was scammed several years ago by a company with a similar name, Great American Readers. They stole nearly $200.00 from my account before I shut my account down and opened a new one. BEWARE OF GREAT AMERICAN PHOTO CONTEST AND GREAT AMERICAN READERS, they are connected I am sure!

Great american photo contest scam someone needs to sue!

hello! my name is iqunelda white. i am a new proud parent of a now 7 month old baby girl! in October of 2009 i was contacted by a company called The Great American Photo Contest threw email telling me to submit my baby's picture to there site for a chance to win 2,500$ they said that a new winner is chosen ever single month. of course i was going to enter her times were hard and my child is very beautiful. so finally i entered her and not even two hours later i get an email from them saying the judges think my daughter has what it takes to be the winner of a 25,000 life saving bond. but there's a catch you also have to pay 20$. i paid the money thinking that they really thought she could go all the way only to find out that that's what they tell everyone to get the 20 bucks. i should have known something was off there but they called me and asked me to purchase a book called most beautiful babies in America. so when i got the call from "marry" i told her i wasn't sure and that i would have to speak to my partner before i could continue the transaction. she told me to just give her my account information and she would hold it until i could call her back and give her an answer. a flat out yes or a no! when i check my account history i see that she instantly took the money. when i saw that i called and i swear to you it was the same voice claiming to be Mary but when she answered she said her name was Hellene or something like that. so i asked to speak with Mary and she puts the phone down and when she returns its the same lady with the same voice claiming to be this "marry" lady. i asked her why she took money from my account and she assured me that i told her to go ahead. after that i was overdrawn by 205.00$ i asked to be refunded and they i couldn't receive anything until my book was sent to me and i returned it. my account is now closed. finally i received the book. months later after i had threatened to sue them for fraud i got it the very next day. the book is sloppy and is not worth 81.95 my daughters picture is small and her bio wasn't even posted in there witch they charged me 10 extra to do. also back to this 25,ooo contest when i asked to be refunded they told me it was too late she was already entered but after i had paid the money i still was receiving emails asking me to enter her into the same contest that i had already paid for please do not enter your child in this scam because you will wind up hurt someone need to shut them down and sue them! it might as well be me! its nothing but spam emails and advertisement they sell your email and that eventually leads to you shutting it down and making a new one!
