Total Financial Rip Off!!!!

Already Paid well for our Portable Bldg. In fact paid at least Purchase Price. Even paid a $1200.00 ,, what we thought went to Principle. It did not at the time. They held it!!! Nothing ever makes sense with them. After Payments our Balance keeps CLIMBING CONSTANTLY. I would NOT Recommend This Company to anyone.

Not as promised

The salesman quit responding, a week after purchasing. I was contacted by the regional mgr, who was better, but still unable to coordinate the delivery. The delivery team was STELLAR, and did a great, timely, job getting it in place. Looking over the building, the day after delivery, I noticed that TWO of the structural 2×4s on the ceiling, are SPLIT!!! One is almost is already even separating!

Bad Company

I wouldn't give them any stars as they are the worst company to deal with. They repossessed my shed, I was only 1 payment late, they didn't even bother to call me and say "hey your payment is late, do you want to make it now", they just came and took my shed, stole some of my property that was laying up against the shed, opened up the shed and broke some of my personal belongings, cut cords, damaged some of my property that is irreplaceable and are refusing to stand good for it. I will be filing a police report for the stolen items and suing them as well.

Warranty

Unfortunately, the only positive remark I can give concerning the Graceland experience is on the local dealer level. The local dealer in Pelzer SC did a great job with helping me pick a building, delivery, and setup. If you are in the market for a storage building 2 of your deciding factors should be quality and warranty. Below you will find empty promises regarding both stated on Graceland's website. The Story I received my building early this year (2022), and immediately insulated it with standard roll insulation. Shortly after the insulation was installed we experienced a heavy rain, and roof leaks from every direction. I inspected the roof fasteners and found a large number had issues. The fasteners have a rubber gasket under the head to prevent water intrusion. The issues with these fasteners ranged from over tightening, under tightening, missing gaskets, and even screws backed out and open holes left. All and all about 20% of the screws on the roof were not installed correctly. I contacted Graceland and opened a warranty claim, but the claim was quickly denied due to the building being insulated. The insulation was secured using small staples to the inner side of the 2x4 roof support. In no way could insulating this building cause water intrusion. It was just an excuse to get Graceland off the hook for some warranty work. That being said, I would caution anyone who is thinking about doing business with this company. Quality. Gracelands commitment to quality is unsurpassed. In the finest tradition of American quality and innovation, our master-builders create buildings to last for generations, not years. Support. Graceland stands behind our buildings. No one offers better customer support and warranty protection before, during, and after the sale than Graceland. Our customer satisfaction ratings speak for themselves; they are as high as the most popular companies in the world. Join the Graceland family and youll discover why!

Shed was delivered damaged.

Purchased shed 7-5-2021 and it was damaged by the delivery service and my yard was destroyed by their equipment. Contacted Graceland and supplied them both with pictures and a statement of what happened. Was told that the crew would be out in a week to fix the problems and level out the shed. Never showed up and continued to call about service and now we are over a year later and now they want to send me a certified letter stating that the shed needs to be emptied to do the repairs and just 3 weeks ago they came out and started to repair the north wall with no problems with the items being in there. The only solution is that they want me to empty the shed or let them repo it. I'm disabled and can not empty the shed . Why wasn't the repairs done when I paid for a storage unit for a year waiting on them to do the same repairs.

Finally got the damn thing paid off.

Original review Aug 27, 2022
These buildings are not built above minimal construction standards with below grade materials. The one on the lot looked great. The one I received did not. I filed a warranty claim for the bent leaking roof and the roll up door and only got a verbal response. Never got a call from the warranty person. The roof is still bent and leaking. The door finally ate the rubber off around it and still rolls up off track. Siding and trim boards warped and started pealing half the thickness away on the siding. With the bs financing you will pay double for this building under the terms because you cannot just pay it off even if you have the money. You cannot pay a partial extra amount either. You can only pay an additional payment. I do not recommend these buildings or the financing. Beware, read carefully and look at other choices.

Still unresolved

I ordered our building in Feb. 2021 & Rec'd it May 2021. Driver dumped the building out in the front yard twisting it and causing door leaks. Almost one year later - 6 maintenance visits and still the building leaks. I have rec'd a set of doors too big (left in our back yard) and I now have doors that are too small but have been "Made to Fit". I have gaps - doors that don't fit properly and still leakage. I have had customer service try to wash their hands of me and I have just had a plant manager to call and try to convince me that I was over reacting. This is my third and LAST Graceland product. All over a $2,300.00 building. They could have replaced it cheaper than all the visits.STAYIf y

Huge disappointment

We ordered a building on June 28, 2021 and we have yet to receive it (today is December 3, 2021). Called corporate and they cant get in touch with their factory. They refuse to give the Regional Sales Manager information to get a hold of him either. Huge disappointment! UPDATE: 12/03/21 - Received a call from Scott the Regional Manager. He advised he was at the plant and they are just waiting for the correct color roofing. It should be in in 3-5 days. UPDATE: 12/06/21 - Received a call from Corporate in Kentucky. They advised our building should start being built this week or next. I advised its been 23 weeks since we ordered it. They couldnt care less. Reached out to Scott. He advised he is waiting for an email from the plant on the update of the roofing material. The left hand doesnt know what the right one is doing but we will see who is right.

Wanting other to know exactly what they will not tell you.

Back in June 2020 my husband and I had to move back in with my parents. My mom has severe MS, and my dad had become just about paralyzed due to a compressed nerve in his neck and spine. I had already been working on opening my own yoga and meditation organization, but for obvious reasons, had to hold off on that for just a bit. By September 2020, we were more than ready to have our own space again. While scrolling through FB one day, I had a woman reach out to me from Greg's Portable Buildings, saying she had received our inquiry, and thought she had everything that checked every box we had. We were so thrilled, but around this time my husband had developed a BAD toothache and I walked into our home office one morning to find him sprawled out on the floor, almost dead. He had had a major stroke. We rushed him to ICU where we found out that the tooth infection had eaten his heart valves away, causing the major stroke, but to make matters worse, he was going to have every tooth in his mouth pulled, and 2 days later have to have ER open-heart surgery. TBH, I'm in therapy to this very day, trying to get over it. Anyway, we had been in communication with Brandi Faulkes, the owner of Greg's Portable Buildings, for almost a month getting payments figured out, letting her know what we wanted, and we were all set up to sign for our used, little under RTO priced $8000 building. My husband was in the ICU for 28 days, he is 38., but he was ready for that shed 4 days after being released. I wasn't so sure about that, considering the stroke among everything else, but Brandi assured me, she promised me, that he would be ok, Just initial one time, take a look around, and he'd be on his way back home to me. With his health, there was no way he could pull himself up onto a 4-foot porch and look, so she said she would, she did, said it was all great, and she would have it to us in 2 days. A month later it got to us, again, I was working, but it was aesthetically the most beautiful building I had ever seen in my life. We have fallen so in love with it now, but the very first time i ever walked through the door all you could smell was mold, and mildew. It became very obvious that it had been there a very long time. we called customer service immediately, nobody ever came out. On our fifth call to customer service, we found out that out 7,345 dollar building was now going to be almost 20,000 because of fees to their rental agency. They never explained this to us and when i asked to see the original copy of the single page agreement she sent my husband home with, my husband's signature had been forged, all over something that was more like an apartment rental lease. When we asked Mary, their customer service girl out of Memphis, TN, where we are located, her exact words to us were " We can do that" "Once you sign once, we can sign your name for you anywhere your signature would be needed". I don't know if she was taught that, but it is neither legal, nor ethical, not to mention incredibly bad business. My husband was so sick, and for this place to do this to us was almost unreal feeling. That is, until the day they showed up at my sick mother's front door, ringing the doorbell, and threatening to tear her property and fence down and "take the *** out in pieces if he had to". She is absolutely terrified now and, as i mentioned above, could be dying. WHY WOULD ANYONE DESERVE THIS? We just want to be treated like a consumer should be treated. Not like a second class citizen. I have the forged stuff in my records, emails from their customer service in my records, Ive got every bit of evidence that should have a place like this shut down and shut up about their morals, and craftsmanship, in which they have neither. So I work in cyber security and ended up finding the personal info of the owner and his wife, to their church they attend, or at least claim to attend and quite a bit more. After i did that I wrote out an email template for every dealer GPB had in our country's news stations' lead journalist, explaining the scam the company is running, and wondering how their communities would feel about such. I could make one template for all of them, because every single word that ive typed or spoken about this has been true. No need to change the details, not any other the addresses themselves, anyway. so there goes the email to a man stated to be their CFO, and one to the CEO. two days later my husband receives a VM from Mary, the CSR that openly stated to us that the company is all about forgery, telling us that after the fight of my lie with these people they were willing to change it to the correct price. The one actually listed as the RTO price on our "agreement" and the paperwork to change all of that would be to us shortly after. a week later, it gets here. We just laughed as we opened up another SINGLE page document, the "agreement", then couldnt believe what it said after. Pretty much this is the changed figure, but everything in the last "agreement" still stands, and then giving us a date to pay it. no other information at all. im putting this out here as more of a, if you mess with these people, youre not on the smart side of things fiscally for yourself. then again, you could flat out not care anything about your money, or lastly, you could be the oposite of how we operate, which is on a money has never been the real problem here, the principle has been. the fact that a business can treat its consumers this way and get away with it.
