Stay way from this scammers

I booked return flights to Rio de Janeiro. On November 16th ,22 to flight August 16th, 23. In July 23. When I contact the Airline for upgrade, I find out that I didnt have a return flight, I checked the booking confirmation from Gotogate, that shows that booked and paid for return flights. I first contacted Gotogate. To asking what was happening, and the LYED saying was a change made by the airline! And I have to pay e extra £150! After complaining a lot they dropped to £125. I then contact the airline (TAP) that send me the prouve that my return flight never been booked! Gotogate even treated me after I paid the extra £125. if I did not send them a email confirming that I accepted the T&c they would not send me my flight details. Rubbish, disappointed disgusted

Furthermore I have reviews on Trust pilot and the responses state what my review here reiterates. Check Booking or contact Airline and so it goes on.

Airline gave GTG confirmation that a full refund was granted and when they received the relevant email to Trading Support from GTG requesting the refund I would in turn receive the refund. The airline...

This has been ongoing since July 2021. Recently Gotogate closed my case abrubtly in an email after previously been told that I could not speak to a Manager or a Senior staff member. Furthermore, the request was now with the Financial Team and again advised they would not speak to consumers. From there I was told not to contact Gotogate again I have been told this many times before) and the finance team would email me after the staff member who took the call said she would email the finance team herself. The next correspondence from them was to say gotogate had not heard from the airline Loganair for 6 months and Case Closed. I have requested a copy of the email that was sent to Trade Support for Loganair from Gotogate back in July 2021 to request the refund highlighting the through Freedom of information Act. I have email confirmations from Loganair to confirm a refund was guaranteed but Gotogate had to request via email to Trade Support in the first instance. Loganair would then refund GTG and in turn I would then be refunded. I have requested a full explanation of the process they have covered since July 2021 but most importantly the email confirming their request for a refund via the airlines trade support. Although reluctant if a positive outcome at this junture is not received in respect of the refund the legal system will unfortunately have to be involved and compensation for my time spent trying to rectify their processes will also be sought. I have all emails and dates of calls. Constantly told to check my bookings online which has not changed since 2021. After closing my case I no longer have access to this. Many emails were obviously sent generically as in no way answered any of my queries. In the beginning, months went by and Gotogate insisted I contact Loganair myself. After going to and fro Loganair offered that if GTG contacted them they would help them with the process. I had no update after this from GTG. To add emails were forwarded to GTG from Loganair to 1. Confirm the refund and 2. Offer their help and support as above. I am in the process of completing a complaint form which has taken until GTG closed this case as complaints had already been sent from myself to GTG via email, via telephone and in writing. Again no response. My mental health has deteriorated to the point that this situation is seriously affecting my health. I consider this money as mine and feel GTG are fraudulently keeping monies of many many consumers and using these excuses of blaming the airline(s). It continues on in 2023 and in light of my deterioting health I am exasperated with the constant contact I have had to make since July 2021. Not an easy feat when unwell. I could really do with my monies being returned! No one seems to be able to help and it all goes back to Gotogate. It has been a complete nightmare! GOTOGATE PLEASE CONTACT ME ASAP so that details of my purchase etc can be given to you. Message below if this is not possible and I will call again to clarify all details. If I have not heard from you in 7 days I will post to all social media and begin seeking ways to inform people of these issues with mine and many others via the media.

Awaiting refund from Virgin Atlantic

I have spent many months contacting both Gotogate and Virgin regarding a flight I could not take because of covid restrictions. Finally, after a lot of futile discussions, Gotogate called me several months ago to say that a refund would be forthcoming. The Gotogate website simply states application to virgin atlantic in progress and that has not changed since May. I contacted Virgin Atlantic who told me that no refund had been requested by Gotogate and that needs to happen before a refund can be made. PLEASE can you sort this out asap. I have been waiting months. Thank you

Refund of charge for checked baggage

For this round trip with WestJet from London to Comox via Calgary and return, we paid £149.78 for one checked bag for the whole trip. When we checked in at London Heathrow on June 27 for the outbound flight, Westjet had no record of us having paid for a checked bag and we had to make arrangements with Westjet there and then for our bag to be checked in the hold. Westjet have no record of us having paid for checked baggage on the return fligh on July 19, so we have the same issue of having to arrange for a checked bag when we check in. I therefore am requesting a refund of the full checked baggage charge you made as this service has not been provided. Please respond via email as while in Canada I am not accepting calls on my phone

Formal Complaint & Possible Escalation to Civil Aviation Authority

Hello, I made a booking with you via Booking.com. You have given me inconsistent information about the cancellation fees for my flights to Goa from London Gatwick. You have told me the cancellation fee is £350 per passenger, but I called Air India and they told me the fee is £150 per passenger. My contract is with Air India, but they say they need you as the agent to contact them to amend my booking. On the Air India website, it also shows an updated itinerary with a different destination, so I am unsure whether you have booked me onto the correct flight. I am very angry as I have called you multiple times and you keep telling me different information. I want this looked at by a Manager. 36emails and no refund

Don't used it's been 3 months and no refund These guys are nasty don't usestat away I tried as much as possible with calling them over 150 times stating . Kindly just give me a refund and they don't care they just to get me off the phone I have now started sending verbal abuse are the managers and directors and awaiting a response. Wish me more luck D

Complain about bad history with Gotogate travel agent

My name is Walid Khourshid, Im writing my review and comments, just to avoiding others peoples to face a problem with this agent, since I booked a flight through them website/Sky scanner. First thing when I reached Lisbon Airports to travel from Lisbon to Dammam, but the counter staff denying boarding, and missed the flight, I tried to use the support if customer service through the live chat but they do nothing, informing me to contact with Aegean Airlines in Greece. After one 30 minutes in hold with international call, the requested me to contact with Gotogate agent to process refund through them, again I called them to find solution of my problem by refunding money or changing my flight, but no answer and no support at all, they requested me to buy new tickets since the previous one not refundable, I purchase a new tickets for the same destination with almost 100% extra of the first booking, just to solve my problem to attend my job on time. But I wrote this comments to let peoples far from Non respected agent like them, to avoided what I faced. Order codes for 2 booking (MC9RLE & MCJBF1). Thanks

Refund

I made a booking through Gotogate to travel on the 19/12/2022. I requested to cancel the flight From 19/12/2022 until today (13/06/2023) I have not received my refund and Gotogate is asking to me to wait without updating the status of my refund. I talked to Gotogate agents many times over the phone but none of them gave me a reasonable explanation of the status of my refund. They promised me priority escalation of my case but so far nothing has happened. Now it is six months waiting to get my refund. My experience with Gotogate is very frustrating. I would like to receive my money back ASAP otherwise I will start doing bad review in all the social media platforms.

Updated Travel Document

I am requesting an updated travel document in pdf form to my email that shows the flight from Chile to Brazil that I updated LA750. My order number is M126UI and Booking reference number is: N9ECAP. The website shows LA750 but everytime I download a pdf from Gotogate website, the flight that appears is still the old one which is LA752. I have updated it to LA750 as I am travelling with my girlfriend to the Philippines, I need the PDF as I plan to print it and bring it along with me. thanks, Luis

Not received refund

I was promised a refund from Scoot airlines two months ago. The flight in question was booked through GoToGate. I contacted Scoot and they said they have processed the refund to GoToGate and therefore it should have reached me. They urged me therefore to reach out to GoToGate. I cannot call GoToGate's customer service hotline as the only channel provided for customer support is an English phone number. Now looking into this, I've read online that GoToGate frequently doesn't return refunds to the customer once they are issued by the airline. Wish I had looked into this sooner. Avoid at all costs.

They take charge as for “Flexible” tickets but buy NOT Flexible tickets

I booked tickets as Flexible but gotogate bought tickets from wizzair as NOT flexible. 24 hours before flight I tried to change the dates of flight but couldnt do it from the website. It was written that I have to pay a penalty to do so (Wizz Air change Flexible tickets without penalty). I tried to change tickets using the reference number provided by gotogate and change tickets from wizzair but couldnt. I called to support of wizz air and they told that gotogate booked not flexible tickets. I tried to find phone number of customer support on the gotogate website but unfortunately there is no number of customers support. Please note that you dont provide phone number on the website and to change tickets is possible only via phone number! I started to search number of customer support via Google. When I was able finally to reach support by phone there was 23 hours 27 minutes before departure flight and they refused to change ticket. I called back to Wizz Air and asked is it still possible to change flexible tickets if its just a bit less than 24 hours they said yes, I called back to gotogate customer support but they again refused. I asked to change the date of return ticket from 28th of March (which is much more than 24 hours before flight) to 4th of October by phone they answered that support will call me or write an email but no one didnt contact me. I wrote in live chat and spoke with Helin B. I asked her to write me an email of customer support or gotogates communication email she was answering rude, didnt write email and said that there is nothing to do and closed chat! I asked about refund. On the website its written that refund is going to be made by the policy of airlines. I called to the Wiz Air airlines and asked about the policy of refund of Flexible ticket, they told that its 1000% refund which I have to use to buy tickets within 90 days. But they told that gotogate booked tickets as NOT flexible. I called again to support they told that cant do anything. I would like to get a refund for tickets as Flexible because I paid extra price for it or would like to have change of dates of both flights as flexible!!! Kind regards, Natalia

Cancellation

Copy of message to Singapore Airlines which explains everything Ive had enough of the stress and anxiety which Go To Gate has deliberately caused and will be taking legal action when I return to Australia. I forgot to add that I did take insurance out on this booking Hello I purchased a one way ticket with Singapore Airlines through on line travel agent Go To Gate. Despite numerous efforts to change the date of travel, made on 25 March - due to a bad dose of dysentery contracted in Bali, only on Friday, and a higher than usual temperature, I emailed the company three times before I received an abrupt reply saying that I needed to telephone their office for any changes - this despite me explaining to them that I did not yet having a Bali SIM card or international roaming on my phone. When I was able to borrow a phone to call Go To Gate I needed to wait for what seemed an eternity, before being shown no respect and virtually hung up on. Not once, but twice. I have lost all faith in on-line travel agents who give the impression of being nothing more than scammers, with no customer care at all. Anyhow, because it seems these companies are allowed to act as agents for airlines and on-sell tickets, it was suggested that I contact Singapore Airlines, who do show some respect for their clients. I should add that Im a 72 year old retired historian, who needs a walking cane for mobility. If I did go to the airport, and board the flights, with this illness, then not be able to use the toilet, it could cause extreme embarrassment, and not a good look, to both myself and Singapore Airlines.
