I want to warn all consumers about Hector Gonzalez. He currently works under the name of Texsan Painting and Drywall but also Gonzalez Painting as well. He is a liar and a thief and I can document this. I contacted him on Craigslist for painting, texturing of walls, installing a door, removing some tile, plus installation of laminate flooring and other work. Upon our initial meeting, he has a charming personality that instills confidence that I later learned was all a sham. He subsequently provided a detailed bid which was acceptable to me. We then signed a contract and I provided him with a substantial down payment that he required, over $2000, with the agreement that he would start the next day. He did not show up the next day - nor the next 5 days. As others have indicated, he would not answer his phone and only provided copious texted excuses: his daughter being in the hospital, then that she was being transferred to another hospital in Waco and had to be there. Then he was sick and had to go to the emergency room with no cell service but he would refund my deposit and give me a reduction in price due to the delay. Also, on several occasions indicating that he and his crew are on their way and ready to work but did not show. After I indicated I would pursue legal action against him, he did show up for a few hours, doing extremely subpar work for two days. He then went to lunch and texted me that he had to pick up his son at school. I never saw him again. He has refused to respond to my attempts to contact him. I am convinced that he never intended to do the work, all his excuses were lies, and that he only ever intended to scam me out of my deposit. Hector Gonzalez and his wife, Erica Escobar have done this in the past and will do this in the future. I am writing this to warn all potential clients to stay away from them. Do not fall for his personality. He will steal from you. I want to stop him from scamming others and will continue to spread the word about him.

Hector Gonzalez and his wife Erica Escobar gave me a bid for painting my house. They took the $400 deposit on 23 April, 2019 and have done nothing. First their car broke down then he was in the hospital. I was reasonable with them. Gave them time to recover. Was suppose to come on Memorial day no show. Finally got a hold of him on June 4th, 2019. Told him I has read reviews about him and he was doing the same thing to me as other people he ripped off. He assured me he would never take peoples money and not do the work. Said he is a God fearing man. Was suppose to show up on the 6th. There were some weather concerns so we agreed on the 7th. No show again. Will not answer his phone. Will not return my money. This guy is a thief. Stay far away from him. His wife is in on the scam also. She is just as bad as he is. Do not give these thief's your money.

I paid $250.00 as a down payment for materials. when it was time for him to do the work he didnt show, gave me the run around, excuse after excuse. he never did ANY work and will not refund the money. I now believe it was intentional. I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST USING THIS COMPANY.

We hired hector to put up a simple wall in my home. He came did the estimate and took the deposit for work but never returned. Every time I call him he makes up an excuse about his child being in the hospital or his car being broken down. Its been over a week now and he keeps giving me more excuses and I have no way of finding out where he lives to get my money back. His wife is also in on it helping him make promises that he will never commit to. Stay far away from this guy he won't return any of my calls or text.

Theft of Services
I signed an agreement with Precise Painting and Drywall, in San Antonio, Texas, to paint my soffit and fascia around my house. He requested a 1/3 down payment and since then, has done nothing but make excuses about getting out to do it. He talks a good story but essentially, has provided a Theft of Services by taking the money and never committing to show up. He offered to refund the money today but failed to call or show up. I offer a warning to anyone doing business with Hector Gonzalez with Precise Painting and Drywall out of San Antonio, Texas. If he does make good on his offer to refund, I will post a notice that he fulfilled the commitment and take down the review.
