Trying to cancel only vision insurance. Every # I call is either out of service or not available at this time

I have 3 different #'s and 2 do not work. Kind of a shady way to do business - makes me apprehensive about keeping my dental insurance. I think people really better think twice about going with this insurance - the grief isn't worth it!

Don’t purchase short term plans

Donald Trump is using the courts to erase the ACA because he is working for the insurance companies who dont want to convert pre existing. Trump is promoting short term plans or junk plans and they are useless and dangerous. Dont apply for any of them

Just DON'T DO IT!

Purchased an individual dental policy from these clowns in July, no longer need it after a month. Tried to contact them to cancel it and have been placed on hold for over two days for over an hour each time. When a rep finally answered, she said she could not help and had to send me to another department, put on hold again, only to be told that dept could not help me. They will try and tell you to give them a number and someone will call you back, of course NO ONE DOES. Funny how they have NO issues with taking your payment. These people are set to make over $300 BILLION in revenue for 2019 and cannot afford an infrastructure to answer calls for PAYING CUSTOMERS? I could not imagine having to actually attempt needing a claim covered with these yahoos. They tell you that the ONLY way to cancel the policy is by speaking with a rep...which you will NEVER be able to do. Do NOT get coverage with this company, you WILL regret it.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

DO NOT USE UNITED HEALTH ONE! When you call to purchase insurance, you can get right through and talk to someone within a minute. But if you need to cancel a policy, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get through to the right person. In total, I have sat on the phone trying to cancel my policy for over 6 hours. I was transferred from person to person and each one said they are the wrong department. The customer service people are rude (unless you are buying something). I ultimately had to file a stop payment and cancel my credit card to get the premiums to stop being processed. THEY ARE CROOKS!!!! I URGE YOU ... DO NOT USE THEM!

HORRIBLE Stay Away From This Company.......

Hi I had been using this company since 2015 was the 1st time I got policy, and renewed the next year got same coverage when I called in. 2017 I called again some one switched the type of insurance to a different type of policy, I was assuming that I had the same coverage. After having a TIA or mini stroke as they are called was surprised when they did not cover a thing. $900 of total hospital bill. Wow. After talking to them some one signed me up for a totally *** plan that was not the 80%/20% that I had told them I wanted. Like the prior 2 yrs. So nothing is covered. I talk to them and sent letter to the grievance department that has been 3 months. I have tried to call several time and always on hold for 20-30 minutes there is no other way that I have found to get a hold of them other then sit on the line. I finally got a hold of someone the other day and was told no one knew what was going on with this. I have 25-30K in bills and have had no help. I would think when I called in last time to renew in November and I asked for the same or similar policy that the staff would know. I guess it is just sales and their so called professionals are just hired randomly just to make sales..... I have called again today to talk to some one. actually on hold right now so far 39 minutes. Great customer service right!!!!

3 months later and no bills paid

After 3 months of pending bills from Feb 2018 not 1 bill has been paid by this company. We get the run around that they have not received documents from us (faxed twice and mailed once)now they say they are waiting to hear from our doctor but they are requesting 2 years of medical records (ODD we only were under their care for 2 weeks and we cancelled ) they kept billing us as well. Stay away from this company they do the typical *** move and sit on the bills as long as they can prior to paying. Busines is business but they do not have to lie and not pay. I am worried this will effect mys credit if these *** don't pay

I need help cancelling my insurance

So I have two questions one, I never received my medical card. I tried logging in numerous times and calling in but I keep getting the run around and I still have not found anyone to help me. I need to why I owe more money when I never received my card and then they tried to send a letter stating my first base payment never went through went it specifically tells me in my bank account that it did and for the past three months since March 28th, I have been paying $6 almost seven dollars has been taken out of my account even though in April on the 21st they stated that if I do not pay over $280 (I do not have any idea where that number came from) that my insurance will get canceled and all payments will cease. Well then why am I still getting the $6 taken from my account this month? When it was supposed to cancel, can we please just entirely cancel my plan. I don't even care for the money back I just want to be taken off the insurance as I plan to get long term anyways. Please help me I've tried three different numbers I've been calling since I began this plan I just want to stop getting my money taken when I never even got my medical card nor have I ever used this insurance.

Terrible service

Waited on hold for 30 mins to as hour and then it said error with call and hung up (This was your service, not my phone). I called right back only to find out that the offices were now closed. HORRIBLE experience..I needed only my policy number for am emergency. Thanks a lot

Terrible Service!!!!

Apparently they went up on my premiums. I did not receive any notice. On Jan 3 I received a letter returning my Dec payment stating that I no longer have insurance????I have never missed a payment in over 8 years. They never called, I have no idea what the new premium is ?? Tell me, Ill pay it? Ive tried calling 12 times. I have been on hold this morning for 3 hours so far. Yesterday I got a call back and the rep said she couldnt help me with this, I would have to talk to billing and that they would put me on hold for 4-5 hours. Really? I just want to know the new premium amount and pay it? Also they have locked my on line account so I cannot look and see what has happened. This is horrible.

Trying to cancel

Trying to cancel insurance. Been waiting on phone for 2 hours. Thinking about suing them for my time and punitive damages. Lol. I'm an Attorney so no legal fees. Just to be a pain in their *** like they are being to me. I don't have an auto account payment so I guess I could just stop paying and it would take care of itself but I'm trying to be considerate.

Extremely Bad Do NOT USE This Company

I needed gap insurance and through the "marketplace.gov" unfortunately I picked Golden Rule. I sighed up and paid for the premiums. I got some paper cards in the mail with insurance ID numbers. Funny thing was that's all got. No policy no explanation of my policy, nothing. I didn't think much of it at the time, after all it was gap insurance and I wasn't having any health issues other than high blood pressure. Later on, I started to have shortness of breath and found out I needed to have my aortic valve replaced. I had the procedure done and low and behold Golden Rule has refused to pay any of the bills trying to prove pre-existing conditions. It's now been over a year and they still insist that they need more information about my past from my doctors. They obviously are trying not to pay the $180,000.00 in hospital bills. Constant excuses, constant run around. Don't use this company, I don't know why they are even qualified to be on market place if they have to try and prove pre-existing conditions.

Golden Rule is not worth getting!! Up set seeking a lawyer!

I got Golden Rule in Feb for a short time insurance because I couldn't sign up for the marketplace. So we called a local Agent that introduced us to United Health Care (Golden Rule) I signed in January it started Feb, I got cards And On March 15 Around 3 am I started hurting so had I told my husband I needed to go to ER! I was put in the hospital and had Emergency surgery set up for surgery! And after 8 months later I started getting the letter we have the money to cover but it is pending upon further info! So after months of these types of letters!! On August 9th I get a letter stating they are dropping me due to pre`existing condition! I go to the hospital to pay a bill they did not pay and billing tells me I owe the hospital $ Fifty-Six thousand dollars because they did not pay cause of pre-existing condition What !! I'm stunned I cried all the way home this insurance is a lie just to get your money and humiliate you this needs to have a class action suit against them! They need to right a wrong its time people hold people like this insurance companies are holding their feet to the fire by a class action suit! They have no rules they are deceiving!!

Tried to cancel policy

Update. July 12th 2017.

I have now paid another premium. It is still not cancelled. The bank (Bank of America) can't cancel it. I have even threatened to close my account.

I called again, 51 minutes this time and a lady called Susan, said sorry, she could see where the calls where made to cancel and could not understand why it was not cancelled. She said she will look into it and I will be refunded why I am due. In the mean time, my bank account is close to zero because of this, I am not a millionaire, I have kids to feed and a mortgage to pay.

I do not have time to keep calling and calling and calling. Its hard to believe that I am the customer, I never submitted a claim and they treat me like this.

My new employer has insurance, so once I was eligible I called Golden Rule to cancel. The following month they took my premium again. So I called again. (When I say call I mean you go on hold for nearly an hour) She said sorry would sort out my repayment and ensure the policy was cancelled. The following month no refund and yes you guessed it! They took the premium out yet again. So on the phone this time was quick only 44 minute wait! Whoo Hoo. The lady said sorry and could not see why to was not cancelled and promised to do it. And she would look into my refunds. Okay so today they just took the money out again, thats month 4. Apart from shutting down my bank account what can I do? How can they treat people like this, they NEVER call back. They don't do as they say. In this day and age you should not have to wait an hour to get through to cancel a policy. I am the customer. Not sure what to do now, My funds in the bank are getting low they owe me nearly $1300.
