Superbad SERVICE
After careful consideration, I hired GM Van lines to help with my local move. We had moved many times ourselves and were ready to hire someone to help ease the process. Hiring GM Van lines only added to the stress. It would have been nice of them to show up on time to begin. When it was obvious they were late I began calling the office...no answer, and I left almost a dozen voicemails and my credit card had already been charged. I think on the 10th call they actually picked up and promptly hung up the phone. I just wanted to know where the movers were at and neither they nor the company ever contacted me to let me know what was going on. Finally an hour after the scheduled start time the driver called me to inform me they'd be late...obviously. He then informed me he'd be another hour. After a little over an hour I called him back, he was going to be another half hour. Finally, after being three hours late the movers arrived to start the job. They brought 4 guys and a ratty truck, which we had agreed on 3 men to move...but they want to send an extra guy that'sAY sTT fine, its on them. WRONG! GM Van Lines contacted me to ask if I wanted to pay for the 4th guy or just have 3 people work. I let them know they can have 3 guys work but Im not paying extra for something I didnt ask for and did not agree to in our contract. Finally they let all 4 guys work and just informed me that if they finished early then they would still charge what we agreed to in our contract...that was fine with me as I was just ready to be done with this company. I still, 4 hours late from starting, never received any apology or compensation from the movers or the company. The truck was loaded up and we head to the new residence. Once we got there the company called me to finalize payment and informed me they were going to charge me for more hours than we agreed to, even though we were pretty close to the four hours we agreed to...and they showed up late. After going back and fourth with the company, still without receiving any apology or compensation, I finally hung up and was just ready to be done with these people. Please learn from my mistake and take your business elsewhere, this is a horrible company who would never even acknowledge or own up to their wrong doing.

First move made easy
I was moving into another state. It was my first cross-country move. So, I wanted to make everything perfect. I hired gm van lines because one of my friends recommended them. The movers were on time. Every single person of the 5-person team was efficient and kind. These guys might charge low but they know how to do their job efficiently. Nothing was damaged. My furniture was treated carefully. Appropriate packing and numbering was done and my valuables arrived in 3 days with no damage to the furniture. All I have to say- they did an outstanding job! I compared the service charge of GM van lines with a couple of other companies and realized that this company is very competitively priced. So I went with them. The team came in and did a great job of moving my household goods. A few small things were broken but that’s really nothing major compared to what other what other movers damaged in the past. I was very happy with their service. I have never seen more organized movers in my life. GM Van Lines - Moving Service Review
I will like to thank GM for helping move is such short notice my move was a quite odd move but they were willing to help. The guys were very infomative and kind. They were in and out made my move less stressful then what it really was. At first I was afraid to have a hourly rate because of the horrer stories I heard about movers prolonging jobs to make more money. But these guys here they made it simple fast and carefree move. I will definitely hire them about.

No-pain move
GM van lines made sure my family and I don’t go through any stress during our move. All four movers sent from the company were very capable and friendly. They arrived right on time. They displayed amazing skills in packing everything and loading them onto the van. I was so glad to see how fast they were since I was paying them hourly. The delivery was smooth as well. The van arrived on time and the movers unpacked everything and put them in their rightful places. We were so glad that we didn’t have to sleep on the floor waiting for our furniture to arrive.

Best in the biz. great movers
I had a three men team of movers and they were fantastic, organized, careful with my belongings and not to mention efficient and professional!! My moving time frame was in the afternoon and their sales rep called me around 9 in the morning that day just to check everything once again. From then on, it was going smooth. I had a long distance move and it was a nice experience for me. No broken or damaged items, no hidden costs! I would not hesitate to recommend these guys to all my family and friends. Great but not expensive! I must admit that their rating here is truly deserved. These guys made my move an easy experience for me, they are honest, fair, and will do their best to provide you the best quality service. You guys are simply awesome.

I have used many movers in life but none of them were as good as GM van lines! This time I moved a long distance and received absolutely great service from this company. I would recommend them again to anyone who is in need of movers. The guys that actually did the move were friendly, efficient and most importantly took care of my personal belongings during the move. I called GM van lines and they came up with a quote within a few minutes. My previous move was a really bad experience in the hands of some unprofessional movers. These guys promised to be different though. Indeed, they conducted the relocation flawlessly and didn’t leave any glitches anywhere. They were punctual, respected our agreement and fulfilled their part of the contract. I did not feel overcharged at all. I would suggest them to everyone I know. I had a great time with GM van lines. The entire moving procedure was explained to me by a very friendly man. I had a long distance move and all my belongings were delivered to me the way it was. Nothing was missing and my belongings were at my new place on the date they told me, not later! I would hire GM van lines again! In the future, they will be my only option! This is not the first time I moved. But it's the first time I moved without having to go mad with stress. GM van lines took on the duties so well that I really had nothing to worry about. Their movers were highly trained and they worked very fast to pack up all my valuables. They delivered on time and all my belongings were safe. They even unpacked for me. They charged the exact amount they estimated. I realized that I actually had a lot of fun with these guys during my last move. They were a little bit more expensive than the other companies, but their ratings were much better. So in turn, the extra cost was definitely worth it because they took very good care of my items. The movers were very fast when it came to packing everything and then when they set up at the new home it was awesome how everything was perfect. Damaged Furnishings Update
I selected GM Van Lines to move my household furniture only 26 miles from 1 home to another home. It was a disaster! They caused several hundred dollars in damage and lost a solid walnut night stand. The truck had mechanical problems and could not deliver on the scheduled date because no backup truck was available. Only 1/2 of my belongings was delivered because the truck had another customers items on it. I submitted a claim for damage and after 2 1/2 months received an offer of $65 which was insulting. The owner Oded was unsympathetic to my loss and acted as if he could care less! I paid several thousand dollars for my furniture GM employees caused several hundred dollars in damages!!I totally regret selecting this moving company and learned a valuable lesson.
