Safety Issues

Ga. Power used to truly care about their customers they definitely responded promptly to safety issues I myself informed Georgia power that there is a dead tree leaning just about hitting their power line I inform them that I was going to cut the tree because of danger of it falling and hitting my fences and gate. I asked them to come out and look at it. The tree is leaning toward the power line a foot or two from the power line if I cut the tree myself it will definitely land on the power line although wood is not a good conductor it is a conductor all I feel like needed to be done was for them to send a crew out and cut the tree below the power line therefore it would not be a safety issue on my end I told him that I did not have the money for tree surgeon nor did I have the money for them to come take the actual primary power line down they in so many words told me that there's nothing at all they could do or would do cut it and hope for the best that's not the Georgia power that I'm used to dealing with safety should be in the forefront!

Billing

Ga power are overcharging prepay customers with some type of end of the month charges that know one can explain or give u the breakdown of charges I caught these over charges yesterday call customer service but they really couldn't explain what the exact charges are for someone needs to us find out why are we been charged and no one is letting us know we are being charged monthly for bogus hidden fees and u cannot contact a supervisor to talk to something has to be done about this for them to take our hard earn money

Inquire about compensation due to outage

I WAS TOLD NO RE IMBURSEMENT FOR LOST FOOD IN FREEZER AND REFRIG. POWER WAS OFF 48 HRS AND I LOST EVERYTHING, AT LEAST COMPENSATE ON THE BILL SOME FOR LOST USAGE??? I KNOW THERE WERE A LOTS OF CUSTOMERS OUT OF POWER, SO THAT'S THE COST OF DOING BUSINESS. I'M 83 YEARS OLD AND IT TAKES AWHILE TO REPLACE ABOUT $300 WORTH OF FOOD!

The power is out and I need it for my cpap machine to sleep!!!you go up on the bill 12% which is ridiculous we pay that and you dont give good service

Tired of them stealing money

Georgia power is a rip off!! My bills have gone from under 200.00 a month to 844.00 a month. (They triple the rates in the summer months and have hike increases every other month!! The extra fees for this vogle plant that we should not have to pay was only supposed to cost us less than 10 dollars a month. We are charged thousands of extra money per year. They have mishandled millions if not billions and give themselves raises. We should not be paying for this and since we are we should own stock. I am sick of it and am getting a lawyer. Another court battle is about to begin. People cannot live like this. Georgia is the only damn state that is allowed to pay for this mess. It has to stop. This has been going on since 2009 and once it started, I saved EVERY electric bill because I knew it was going to be a rip off. I was right. They are making billions off of their customers. I keep my air at 75/76 in the summer and should not be paying this high bill. For that I should be freezing cold each day. How much longer is this going to continue? I never thought I would see the day that a light bill is more than a mortgage payment. I work hard and should be able to enjoy myself but by the time I pay this high bill and my other bills it is hard to. I am FED UP!! GEORGIA POWER IS NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF CROOKS!!!

Refund

GA power added someone else bill to my account when they stopped paying it. I called to see what happened because they never notified me about another address. They told me my info was compromised and I needed to do a fraud packet. They told me while doing this fraud packet I was protected at my address. I wasnt. They turned my power off at my address while waiting for the police report. I paid them 210 the balance from the other account. Now they found me not responsible they wont give me my 210 back.! My next bill was 111 they left me with 26 of it after taking a return check fee and a reconnect fee thats about $85. I keep calling asking for my money. They acting dumb. I think its an inside job at this point. But I wont stop till my money is returned

Horrible!!

Incredibly slow to restore power after every outage, absolutely horrible! Ive never seen a company react to slow with such non urgency.

Georgia power complaint

It has been extremely hot outside in Savannah Georgia over the past week. Our power has flickered frequently and finally went completely off last night. The power has now been out since 2 AM and it is now 7 AM. There seems to be no accountability for this power company that has the monopoly in Georgia. This is no small matter as heat can cause death as we all know. This is a disgusting company with unacceptable service practices.

I had an extremely hard time to find a phone number that I could actually call Georgia Power. I got a number tI had an extremely hard time to find a phone number that I could actually call Georgia Power. I got a number that said Georgia Power but when I called him it was somebody trying to sell me medical That part was very time saving and it seems to go like this. Every time I try to call Georgia Power, but one good thing is the person that I spoke with was very, very nice very professional and helped me a lot.

Upset due to them not following the lae

just got iff the phone with Kenny from Ga.power and he said they are not giving me my money please contact me I dont deserve this they have cost my lights to be offI been sleeping in this house in the cold no hot water no food and the rep have the nerve to tell me that they dont follow laws 18 U.S. Code § 8 - Obligation or other security of the United States defined U.S. Code The term OBLIGATION or other security of the United States includes all bonds, certificates of INDEBTNESS national bank currency, Federal Reserve notes, Federal Reserve bank notes, COUPONS United States notes, Treasury notes, gold certificates, silver certificates, fractional notes, certificates of deposits BILLS CHECKS or DRAFTS FOR MONEY drawn by or upon authorized officers of the United States, stamps and other representatives of value, of whatever denomination, issued under any Act of Congress, and canceled United States stamps. I am truly sorry to have to blow the whistle in this manner, but Georgia Power leave me no choice so if you can see any of these messages, please do the right thing uphold the law and discharge my debt please stop hiding behind this fraudulent company and contact me. I have left emails so you have my information. I have looked up ucc codes and yes Georgia power do have to abide by The UCC codes .they refuse to discharge my debt but they have taking my money I want JUSTICE
