New Shopper

I am waiting on my kit. I haven't started yet. I want to know who pays for the items when we shop. I will not pay for items myself. They haven't told me for the 5th time. Can someone help me?

Non payment

I have been completing assignments for nearly 10 years accepting that they are the slowest payers with the 4-6 week wait after end of month where others in Australia pay fortnightly or in the first week of the following month. Living rural I often travel good distances to complete assignments often at the last minute for them. They currently owe me around the Australian $500 from July assignments which they just won’t reply to my messages which they would in a flash when them want me to do something for them. I’ve advised them today that if I don’t get an update in 24hrs I will be contacting the company’s that I did that assignments at and tell them that GBW are not paying their contractors

Always late with payments and uses same excuses

Not payments has been received. I've sent numerous messages for assistance but no one responses back .

Non-payment

GBW have always had the longest payment terms of any Mystery Shopping company, but have always been paid. However, I am still waiting payment for work carried out in April. Raised an enquiry ticket in July and just received a generic reply, and still no payment. Looking at other reviews, it appears other shoppers are affected. Suggesting this company is in trouble. Potential shoppers should avoid this company, otherwise like me you will end up out of pocket.

This is a scam

I was sent two checks in my name for $2,998 or there abouts.Both checks were cashiers checks drawn off two different banks.They both bounced once I deposited them.Now my account has a big negative balance.I definitely would not recommed working for GBW.I read alot of negative reviews on GB.What they do is bust your account so your in the red.So Id watch out for any check pre-paid to you because those checks are faked.This is a warning to be cautious before you proceed.I recommend that you dont.

Payments not received.

I carried out some assignments for them in January and February. As per today (30th May) I have only received a partial payment (about 40%). I have called them, sent them emails and queries throgh the system. They make up some lame excuses but still no progress. Also, my payroll is wrong, there are some assignments missing even though we agreed via email that they would be added as it was their mistake. Never happened. Don't trust them, do not work with them, they are the most unprofessional company ever!

They don't pay for services anymore!

On Easter Sunday, I drove over 200 miles to complete a job for them in Santa Barbara. The payment agreed already did not cover the travel costs and hours worked but I wanted to go to that area anyway.... So, when I got there, with a confirmation for an appointment, I found the business closed. It as the only retail business closed in that area. So, upon return, I explained what happened and was promised payment in full. We are past mid-July and that happened in April. I've got a lot of promises - in writing but NO PAYMENT! No one is answering to my "enquiries" via their website. They are not a contractor for the company I was to visit; they are probably a contractor for a competitor. Many years ago, when they were based in Australia, they were good. Now, stay as far away from them as possible.!

Mystery shopper

I received an assignment along with a check. They want me to get money grams and distrubute the money to two different people, named on the assignment. I called the bank and found out the check was no good. I went to the cops they explained to me that this place is scamming people. Once you go to your bank.. Your bank account number is placed on the cheek while being cashed. The company will have access. They are lurking on careerbuilder.

GBW Skimming Scam

Thursday 10th August 2017 Please be aware that GBW Solutions mystery shopping are skimming money when they offer you jobs. I have worked for this firm for over 10 years and since their new management changed; the practices they do on behalf of their clients (who I'm sure don't know what's going on) are boardering on illegal. This is what they do: If the GBW handlers can't fill an assignment they will offer to negiotiate the price with you. What they do is agree a price of say, 15 per assignment, and then pay you the original stated fee say of 10. They keep the money themselves which is the 5. Times that by how many assignments there are and that's a lot of cash to be skimming, when GBW handlers are on a tiny wage, working in a poor country overseas. I can understand the temptation but this is fraud! But there is no recourse because the firm is based overseas in Malasia. I was so concerned about what's going on that I raised this issue with GBW who not surprisingly shut down my account. I then telephoned the marketing dept of one of their clients - B&Q - to tell them what's been going on. B&Q are investigating so they tell me. Please do not use GBW Solutions mystery shopping as I think how they conduct their business is fraudulent and wrong.

A rotten company

Non payment for honest work. They are biased towards the client. This is a stingy, unethical company. They are unjustly exploiting those who are desperate for work and money. They are using people on low incomes to boost the profits of unethical, failing businesses. Their pay is very poor pay. Their assignments harder than they make out. Not people centred. Only care about money. Penny pinching company with little in the way of moral values. They expect too much from you for too little in return. They are hypocrites who couldn't do what those whom they are doing business with are expected to do. Always trying to catch you out with your answers with long, unnecessary queries after assignments.

Gapbuster Worldwide - Review in Shopping category

I've done a few mystery McDonald's shops with no payment I phoned there head office in the uk, they said I will now be payed at the end of the month. But on all my evaluations they are asking questions I received approx 4 lots of questions on all my shops, saying they looked at cctv & asked if I was wearing, I told them lots of times the person there looking at is not me wrong description. I had a phone call from a manager the other day, stating they will pay me, as I did everything satisfactory, I said don't write with anymore question I will not do any more, as it getting to be harassment everyday. I can understand now & then to be checked on yet this is everyone then not believing me when I reply. I was told that no more questions will be asked & they are sorry for all the hassle. Yet now today received an other email stating one of my 1 st evaluations is not being paid as I was not alone, yet I was alone as there description of me is incorrect. So now I'm out of pocket for fuel time & meal purchased. Avoid do not work for this company they have hours of work out of me for nothing also I've paid for all of it, which also I'm losing. I can't prove it other than giving them my photo. Which I have yet there still saying I'm somebody else. McDonald's are aware that there paying them & there not paying us shoppers. McDonald's should find another company to do there mystery shops .

Untrustworthy - don't leave negative feedback!!

Word of warning not to do work for this organisation. They send you out to give honest feedback for their clients' services. As long as you review the clients positively then you seem to receive payment for undertaking the work. I was recently sent on an assignment to review a well known burger chain. They ask you to comment on the food and the condition of the bathrooms. The food was cold and didn't taste fresh and the bathrooms were filthy. I left this honest feedback and they immediately sent e-mails back questioning my ability to complete the assignment accurately. Honestly an untrained monkey could do these assignments and from the level of spelling and grammar in the e-mails from gapbuster, I do wonder if they are actually employing an army of untrained monkeys at head office. Finally they told me that I must have taken too long to eat the food and they had watched me on CCTV taking too long to eat the food. I can't have taken more than a minute to sample the food so this was clearly just an excuse to find a reason not to pay me for the work as they didn't want to pass negative feedback onto their client. There seems little point in dealing with this organisation if they are going to refuse to pay you for the work you do.

This company is the WORST I did everything they asked I served as a mystery shopper, making an appointment and traveling to the place of business I complied with the multiple requirements that the project mandated I answered the extensive questionnaire I answered all the additional follow up questions that they added on I spent several hours on this project I have contacted them multiple times re:payment, no reply I am forced to conclude this is a scam I should have known better after reading some of the reviews on the internet This company is not trustworthy I am not sure if they are inept or intentionally corrupt AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID
