Floor and Decor does not honor its warranty and sales people sell improper products for application

I bought Aquaguard flooring from Floor and Decor due to the recommendation of the product for my application. My current flooring contractor said that the flooring should never have been recommended for my use. The layers of the laminate are very thin and subject to expansion when subjected to any moisture. They dont honor their warranty and try to make up conditions for it to be enforceable. This huge flooring company throws up roadblocks for 965SF. Dont do business with them. Much better off with smaller retailers who have knowledgeable sales people and really stand behind their products.

Horrible store and customer service.

I ordered flooring from them 5 weeks ago. I was never able to get timely updates as to the status of the order. I just received and email stating the order was cancelled with no explanation. I could not reach anyone at the store of whicj the purchase was made, nor the customer service number. This is my 1st and last time using them for any flooring needs. Please stay clear of this dis functional organization.. Now I have to get answers to my 4,000.00 refund and the five weeks of waiting to receive a product that they didnt have. The completely waisted my time and money!!!

I was misled by poorly informed staff and management concerning a store credit.

On Nov. 5, 2022 I purchased more than 60 boxes of Natural Hickory, Model # FDHI3NV, sku # 10098****.. I called the Farmingdale NY location and explain that I would like to get a store credit for 9 unopened boxes if possible. I told the uninformed, useless representative that it more than 3 months old as I gave him the sku number. I was told that it is an active sku and that I can return the large, heavy boxes. I did not want to load them and then have an issue at the store, so I called back and restated the facts and added that I did not have the receipt, but I could search for it before I load the boxes and make the return. I was told not to worry, they can look it up at the store. When I arrived at the store, I unloaded 1 box only, brought it to the cashier to confirm the return will be honored. I told the person I had nine boxes, but I did not want to unload them all until I was told assured the store credit. I was told to bring the other boxes in because the receipt from Nov is in the system, and it will be no problem. I unloaded the other boxes and brought them in as I was asked to. I had the credit card which I used for the initial purchases ready if they needed it. After a few minutes the cashier told me that the return was not possible and I would have to submit a TRE (the retail equation) and wait for a response within 3-4 weeks. I had to reload the boxes into my truck due to the ignorance and lack of training for the 3 representatives that wasted hours of my day. The staff knew it was not a recent purchase and failed to warn me of the possible denial for a return or store credit.

Web order completely messed up

I placed an order on Floor and Decor's website for only 18 boxes of tiles. 9 black and 9 white - all in the same order. I'm going to say this again: all in the same order. They sent half to order to one store and half to another. Not only that, but I once I'd scheduled pick up at one store, their system wouldn't allow me to schedule at the other store and kept saying it was already scheduled. I tried calling the Lombard store to see if it can be fixed, but nobody answered. I called the main 877 number and sat on the phone for 1/2 an hour while this poor customer service agent had to work in multiple systems to fix this. As I work in software development, this just shows how bad their systems are. 1. Why would an order with the same web order number have parts sent to different stores 2. Now they are at different stores, the web system would only let me set pick up for one part, on the other it kept saying it was already scheduled. 3. Why is the system the customer service agent uses so convoluted that it took almost 30 minutes to move the order from the wrong store to the correct one. I honestly can no longer trust Floor and Decors online order system. It's in store only purchases now.

I was so glad to get helped with my bathroom remodel

The person was knowledgeable and helped the entire process of grout and tile selections and even helped compare prices and processes to make sure that my bathroom remodel went smoothly. 10 out of 10 loved my experience! Ive never had such great customer service and knowledge on a product or service! I will be back when i start my kitchen remodel!

Oxnard location. The manager Needs to leave

They promised me they were going to hold my orders. The manager james refused to talk to me at first. After twenty minutes they realize he already approved it. The manager James needs to get into another line of Business. I have canceled my orders. They do not deserve to have my business or money. Shame on you.Floors and dicors. You are set up for a lawsuit by saying you will hold the order until your Job is ready. You made a verbal agreement then work like a dog to blow the deal.

They canceled my credit, but never sent me a notice of a new company buying out yjr old credit card company. Now I am told I have to re-apply.

Failed to Deliver on Promises

I have spend nearly $30,000 for flooring and tile from this horrible company. I initially ordered hardwood floors and was told at the time that the distribution center had enough hardwood on hand to complete my order. I bought the lie. Then I got a call and was told that the distribution center did NOT have enough and did not intend to restock until 2030! This left me short 17 boxes. After paying $250 for delivery they delivered what they had so my contractor could begin work. When the 17 boxes found at a store in Texas arrived they refused to deliver the rest of the order unless I paid ANOTHER $250. What bulls***t. I'll never spend another dime with these jokers. Horrible customer service. Well 'll figure out how to pick up 17 boxes of flooring but they will never get business from me again. Hope it is worth it to them.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I have purchased from the store located in Paramus New Jersey. They are so incompetent that it is not funny. You cannot find help when you go in the store. If you dare to ask a question, you get the evil guy and the huffing and puffing as if you just interrupted them while they were having dinner. You can't even get someone on the phone to ask a question or to speak to them regarding your order the manager is nowhere to be found! (Irene Caputo)

The vinyl product I purchase is horrible and dies not stand up to what I was told!

I was quickly ignored and no one bothered to respond back! Telling me its our fault that we gave dents and scratched when we only had it less one week!!! Horrible product!!!

Does not stand behind product

I purchased and installed their top line nucor LVP flooring. Within months of install the product started to warp. This was installed in a majority of the home. The warping was greater in some areas but was noticable everywhere. An inspector was sent out, interesting he had 3 other inspections for same issue that same day, and the results were I had high moisture levels. I live in Florida so du. They would not honor warranty. Even though they advertise product is 100% waterproof, they told me that means it's waterproof from the top down but not from the bottom up. WTF

I trying to buy and on the store they can't sell me the 500 focused they don't have people to help

I trying to buy 500 fr on the store on Brandon Florida and I cant because they dont have who help me to put the pallet down and they told me to come back at 1 in the afternoon but Im already here which a help and a van than I pay because Im a handy cap person

Terrible Policy and Delivery Service

Makes no sense to me for a place of business to have flooring that is "discontinued" due to people not wanting it. So now they have all this flooring that people simply aren't buying. Here I come wanting to buy it and they make it as difficult as possible. Discount? No. Shipping fees even though another location has it? You bet! Shipping even from store to store? YUP. Military discount? NOPE. So basically each store is independent and will make things as difficult as possible to get what you want unless they gouge you for as much money as possible. Every other place has free shipping to the store. It boggles my mind that this isn't the case. Shame because they have some decent stuff but after this debacle we aren't going back.

Product

I had to have 2 different deliveries for my wood floors. When the 2nd delivery of floors were delivered, the stair noses DID NOT MATCH the floors. It's as if, you thought I, as the customer was a complete idiot with no eyesight. Im HIGHLY UPSET as I had to wait 3 weeks for floors to be delivered and installed just to have the stair noses unfinished/non matching. I paid over $14K for those floors...they should MATCH. Whomever fulfilled the delivery should be fired for being that stupid. Half of my floors are already installed.

Unhappy with return

I was told when I purchased the tile that I would be able to return individual tiles that were not used, as they have a separate barcode on the side. I purchased them in boxes and some individual to get my correct dimensions. When I returned to the Tempe, AZ location Martina was not very friendly in telling me the new return policy wouldnt allow it. I was NOT impressed with the Customer service. Its very hard to know how many tiles to buy when doing a project and I wouldnt want to run out. Id like to return my additional tiles, but now they will just be wasted. Not happy
