Unhappy with the paint job thus far
Not happy with the workmanship. In a professional painting world, caulk around windows, if bulky or does not look smooth, should be scraped and recaulked. The wood scraped was to be sanded and was not. The paint is already chipping and the job isn't finished. Things that I was told would be done, 5 star are now saying they can't do them or it is the homeowners responsibility. Broke part of my porch railing and didn't acknowledge it(yes it's still broken). Lot's of money invested for a not so great job!!! Would NOT recommend this company to my worst enemy!!!

Recent Botched Painting Job
I hired this company to paint three rooms. This was the worst paint job I have ever endured. The painters are not professional painters. They did not remove the wall outlets before painting and there was paint on my table and on the light fixtures and the trim job is horrible. Never again!!!

Five Star Painting ruined my floors
Five Star Painting of *** GA ruined my flooring in my small business by dripping 1000s of splatters of white paint all over my specialty poured solid black rubber floors. It took them 2 months to get a removal crew out, and that crew didnt just remove paint they removed the floor with it. Now, I have even more issues than I started with and the owner (Scott Specker) has now gone radio silent with me.

Terrible through and through
The team made a complete mess of our home, dust everywhere. There was no effort made to keep the dust down, we are still cleaning the house. They allowed layers of dust in the vents which then went all thru the house. They painted over the light switches and plugs with no effort to clean. Windows and trim were left with over spray, again with absolutely no effort made to clean, and vent covers were left off. Furthermore, the team stole tools from our home. When confronted, the "project manager' acknowledged their team had taken the tools, and returned tools we had never seen before, even after a complete list and name brand of each tool was given. Overall lousy work and I would never allow anyone one with a Five-Star Painting logo in or around my home again.

Worker came in to give me a esament he said he Will email the estament then I never heard anything back from him and I called again to find out so I can get the job done. The lady said that she will have him call me and that was it didnt hear back from anyone.

It just cost us $5000 to find out that 5 Star painting is terrible.
We hired 5 Star painting to repaint our home after living here for 12 years. We hired 5 Star because we felt they were a good, reputable company. We couldn't have been more mistaken. Most of the paint on all of the woodwork can be easy scrapped off with your fingernails. Now they are here trying to do a half way job to try to cover their mistakes. Save your self a lot of frustration, don't hire them!

Terrible Work
Took them three months to be done with a job that they told me would take three weeks. The paint on my house looks like crap. Theres overspray all over the place, and they charged me half again what we agreed to.

After seeking someone on Angie's list to repair and paint my shed, I received multiple calls and texts from five star painting. I set up an estimate. A man came and looked at the shed. I received an email bid. I felt the price was high. I was desperate because I had a time limit. I hired them and stupidly gave them a $600 deposit. On the day and time they agreed to arrive, no one showed. No call. The next day I cancelled the job and requested a refund. Later a man came. Whined that he sent the crew, but... I again requested a refund. Now 2 weeks and no refund.

After she asked questions and promised us that home estimate will be on email or call us by phone, she never did. We waited a whole week and nothing. Promises broken! Apparently, she didnt care to do business. Bad ethics!

Over promised, under delivered
I was happy with the paint job. But, I asked them if they could put up a replacement filial, which I supplied, on the pediment above the door. I was told it needed to be trimmed to fit properly. The painter said he wasn't told and didn't have any cutting tools. So, he just stuck it up there, hanging out over the trim. When I tried to contact management, I got no call backs after leaving VMs. About a month later, someone came out to look and said they'd correct it. I went ahead and gave him the check and he never did anything. I knew that was a possibility but I was so tired of the whole thing. It will probably stay the way it is forever. I would like to mention their ads say they do light carpentry.

Lied!
We had our house painted this summer by a company that did a superlative job. We were so pleased, we ended up placing their sign in our front yard for some free advertising. I came home from work today and found that the sign we put up had been stolen and a sign for Five Star Painting had been left in its place, despite our never having had any association with them and even worse, that they didn't paint our house but were trying to make it look like they did. I could never do business with a company that would stoop to such tactics. Completely unethical.

Not painting what was agreed upon. The job entailed painting all painted surfaces, ( wood house). Told only surfaces seen to be painted?? (under side porch rails)Would not recommend, did not paint gable vents, partial rain spouts, paint splatter, window trim not straight, call back to complete over 30 days. Would definitely not recommend.

Subcontractor They will build up a confident relationship with you and then wait until your more comfortable with the sub contractor , worship your work and learn how you do the job cuz they dont know what their doing. Then they will rush you to get done and they will not reiburst you for meterials or suplies. And they will terminate your services with out paying you. As a sub contractor you have a rite to file liens aginst their customers property, and that customer will not be able to sale the property with out paying you. That is what the are trying to do to me. Their namee are Eric And Shaun Weidman of fort smith arkansas and they have nkt even a year exsperisnce in the painting industry. How they got to be contractor is simply because they have money and that gies to show its not a knowledge based fransice its a how much mibey can you pay to be a cobtractor. These guys in fort smith arkanses dint kniw the diffrence from an oil brush to a latex brush, and they think a felopium tub is q What fill yhr paint rig with paint . they owe me and rumor has it 3 other subs over 3000 dolallare . they are a joke., crooks and liers

Hello my name is Joseph Hartsfield i am/was a sub contractor for five star painting contractor in Fort Smth AR. The owner is Shawn And Eric Weidman, two brothers . i have been working as a sub fir them and have completed 3 jobs for them and the tird job they decide they dont want to pay me for my servicre completed. They were happy as and satisfied up ti the day of the punch and i want to fike a complaint and see if i can get my payment out of them, i will file liens on their customers property and i will turn them in to the contractor boarf here in arkansas and i will turn them in to the labor board. I am owed 910 .00 and if you know any thing about the bondinh law you will agree that 910.00 buck is a lot cherper then the bill thst will add up when they get involved. I wantbmy payment and i will walk away with no reviews to mention. I work and have bills the same as most other folks . i have never had aby problems with any customer befor until this guy and the customer isnt the problem ,"they were very happy with my work when the job was finished, and we werr not invited to the meeting the day if thr punch , and was not given the chance to work thr punch. We funisher on the jan 9th 2020. And the punch is rewdy but we arent alowed back is the word of the five star contractor shaun weidmans says. If you are in anyway aginst baf reviews you need to n i want paid and i will walk away. I will turn itbover to the contractorsboard. I been in this industrie 28 yesrs and i know what i am doing and i know they dont have the first clue bout thev business

I sent an email last week with my paint colors and scheduled the date of job. My painter showed up unprepared, with no paint, no paint tools, or even a ladder. He did not know the extent of the paint job or even the colors I had chosen. Moreover, he told me it would take two days to finish, but I was initially told that it would take one day. I had tp reschedule the paint job for next week, which is extremely inconvenient. This is a very unprofessional and unorganized company with poor communication skills.
