"Unbelievable Experience at Fit4Less: Upholding Freedom or Infringing Rights?"

"I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Fit4Less. The pool closed early, so I joined my boyfriend at the gym in a conservative bikini with a dress over it. During my workout, a staff member approached me, claiming some people objected to my attire. Despite checking company rules and contracts, no such restrictions were stated. It's disheartening that basic rights are disregarded, and the staff's behavior felt offensive and unprofessional. It's essential to respect individual choices and uphold inclusivity. I'm considering legal action because everyone should have the right to wear what they're comfortable in. Canada values freedom, and it's concerning that such incidents occur."

They don't value you as a customer, just your money.

NOTE: For some reason it is not listed, but my experience was at FIT4LESS-1925 DUNDAS LOCATION. NOT WATERLOO. Great facility. Reasonably clean, polite employees and loads of good equipment. I enjoyed my time here through and through. That being said, the company itself values money over loyal customers. In my first few weeks, I temporarily misplaced my card, and they wanted to charge 28 dollars just to replace my card! (In contract it says they may charge. No amount indicated, which is a bit strange.) I ended up finding mine and didn't need to, but that's not the topic I plan to discuss. My child emptied my checkings account on his PS4 games and while that was being resolved- I missed a payment with these guys. $13.55. I got an email saying it will be removed from my account on the next payment date. Great. The email also said that I'd be charged a $25 late fee, as was indicated in the contract. That brings the total of my next payment to $55.35. That being said, this situation is circumstantial- I have never ever missed a payment, and had the ability to pay through different means. To go from 13 bucks to almost 60, with no one willing to work with me in an already difficult time, is disheartening to say the least. "Theres nothing we can do, its in the contract". Ok! Cool. I gave my 30 days cancelation- which i did over the phone... Guess what? The contract says you absolutely can't cancel over the phone. It's wild to me that the contract only applies if they're making money from it. I'm a single parent, I don't have the luxury of giving away money just because. This place doesn't care who you are or what's happened. They won't hear it. I'd rather go out of my way to PF even less equipment.

No notification if gym close.

Today 08/16/2023 I try to go to the gym. From my house to the gym located on 9025 Torbram Rd Brampton, I need to take 2 buses to go and another 2 to come back so I lose 1 hour and half. Today I try to go and was not even open, there was some sign on the door saying only open 7:00am to 7:00pm so I lose money, time and pay Uber to come back. Why do I not receive any e-mail saying today is not open so I can not lose my *** time. I need to some one solve this because is almost 2 years going and paying and is not fair

Medical leave/hold

I have a problem because a few months back I got a hernia and I haven't been going to my local Fit4Less due to this. I finally got a date to see a surgeon, not even book the surgery itself, and that appointment is in December. So I went to the gym today with a doctors note intending to put a hold on my account until I have the surgery and am able to work out again, but I was basically told to kick rocks. The manager said my two options were to continue paying my locked in rate fee until I can come back to the gym or to cancel my membership and then have to pay the new price as well as the new member fee again and those were apparently my only two options. She said the only time they did holds on accounts is when people decided not to get their vaccine during Covid, which is absolutely mind boggling to me. People who decided with their own free will not to get it when it was a club rule got to put a hold on their account and I have a medical condition with a doctors note and was basically told to go kick rocks? I didn't bother arguing with the manager because I'm sure its not her decision at the end of the day. But I assumed you guys would put holds on accounts in certain circumstances, like this, especially with a doctors note involved. Some clarity on this issue would be great because I've already been paying for this service that I cant even use for too long now and would like to put a hold on it so I can continue once I'm fit again without having to pay more and/or again for my membership.I'm not even asking for the funds back that I've already wasted, I just don't want to continue paying for this until December when my consultation is, let alone the actual scheduled surgery/recovery time which I don't currently know when that is.

Fit for less oxford and hyde park lazy workers poor management

This is worst gym because of employees for sure.I only stay out of convenience.aThe best employee just quit cause she did all the work.The staff sits on their *** and does nothing at all!!aNeeds new staff and a manager who actually manages

Rudeness of the manager

Today, at Bridal wood mall gym, when I was trying to get in, the door did not move in but backwards. I was very shocked, for in my past experience, itis moving forwards when push the door. I tried and it was the same. I was loud to say the door is moving backward, the door is moving backward, because the staff/manager was far. I was loud for I need help and he would not be able to hear if I were not loud. He was also with a customer. But after when he helped me to get in, he confronted me in a loud voice and in anger saying I was yelling at him. I said I was not yelling at him but saying the door was moving backwards and I couldn't get in. Later, a woman came to hear us, so he was less loud and less confronting. He said the door could be moving backwards and forwards. I said when I pushed in in the past, the door moved forward not backward. In the gym, because of the shock of that confrontation, I felt very bad, and I lose my interest to do exercise. Afterwards, I felt bad about how the manager confronted me. As well, being a woman and an elderly, I felt he should not be so rude to threaten me not to do it, not to yell at him. I have not yelled at him.

Its been years of trying to cancel and your company keeps charging me repeatedly in each month causing sometimes multiple nsf charges! Im certain theres many others and well start a class action law suit against you if you dont stop!!! Cancel my membership!!!

Employee is not patient enough to answer the custimer

I went in the broad daylight when there are not many people in the gym. As soon as I called her from the window, as I forgot my wallet at home. She was shaking her head as if she is tired or not interested to respond. I asked the lady at to allow me in, by checking my ph number and Id on the phone. But she did not allow me, she wants the physical Id. Which I felt rubbish. And she never let me in.

Overcharged Issue

Dear Authority, I am a regular customer of your Branch in Topsail road, St. John's, NL. A few days ago, we came to the gym and some guy stole my friend's purse from the locker room. We didn't call 911 or do anything against the gym. However, Two days ago, I saw my account and I was charged 25.99. I asked the customer service guy and he told me as I didn't have enough money in my checking account that's why they deducted the money. I've clear proof that I had money in my bank. Suppose, I didn't have the money, Fit4less should have warned us about this situation! I'm currently working with a good company and I know how customer service works. The service has been awful and I am really sorry to say Fit4Less brought disappointed me! If my charge issue has not been fixed, I would definitely rate 0 stars for our bad experience. If my issue is not fixed, I would definitely leave the company. I choose Fit4Less as I felt this was a place where I am accepted as a member. However, the thing that I've experienced is not acceptable! Please help me fix my issue

Investigation

There is no customer care center that can be reached regarding any issues with a particular gym. I left my phone in the tanning bed room and didnt realize until I was in my car. Upon going back in to retrieve my phone I had the fit4 less employee let me into the gym and told him that I had left my phone in the tanning room and he told me that someone else had gone in for a tan and that Id have to wait for them to come out. I waited for 10-15 minutes for the gentleman to come out, asked him if he had found my phone and he said he hadnt. I went into the room and my phone was still there so I grabbed it and left. I went back that same evening to workout but my card was declined. A fit4less employee let me in, scanned my card and told me that I couldnt enter as my membership was under investigation. Bewildered I asked for what but they had no answers. I was told to come back the following day to speak with the manager. I did this and he told me that because I had left my phone in the tanning room that they suspected that I was video recording, that a police report had been filed and that I would have to wait until the investigation was over before I could renter the gym.
