Won't honor their warranty!

My husband and I have built 6 new houses throughout our marriage. This was BY FAR the worst experience we ever had. They installed our sod several weeks before we closed last June and didn't water it. By the time of our final walk through (the day before closing) it was dead. We expressed concern and were told to keep watering it which we did. We were told if it didn't come back this spring that they would take care of it. It did not come back and they are NOT keeping their word. No top soil was brought in and what little grass there is is incredible uneven. It is the worst sod installation I have ever seen. In addition, we had over 25 items on our one year punch out list. Most of this should have been caught before closing. Many of the items area still outstanding at the 13 month mark now. All of our vinyl flooring throughout needs to be replaced because their subcontractor used some kind of paint on on the unfinished boards that are coming thru the new floors. They have agreed to do this, but still have not. We were told this happened to several of the houses in the development. Replacing the majority of the flooring a year after we moved in is crazy. Our advice is to get EVERYTHING in writing, Their word means absolutely nothing. Also, if you do decide to build in Renaissance, choose your lot carefully! Several houses with fully finished basements have flooded. We would never build with Fischer again!!

Bad Communication and Execution!!!

Hello I'm a licensed Realtor who referred my client to Fischer Homes because I felt it would be an excellent outcome. I was partly correct but did not expect such poor communication and lack of sense of urgency post closing. Over the last 3 weeks or possibly longer, my clients have complained of the air conditioning not working up stairs especially in the primary bedroom. Their young son is constantly sweating at night. According to my clients, the superintendent Rob has failed to communicate with them consistently, with updates to address the issue and needed action. This unprofessionalism is consistent as it pertains to this superintendent when I met him for the very first time when conducting a walk through of my clients home, months prior to closing. An auditor came by unexpectedly, asking basic questions about the home. Rob, stepped in and knowingly, provided false information to the auditor. Once the auditor departed, he made the statement that, "you should be glad I was here because I just saved you money on you property taxes." Of course I reported this incident to the sales consultant where I have no ideal where the complaint went from there. Now we have a leaky back door that is leaving the dining area soaked. My clients have lost faith in Fischer's current process!! Still after weeks of having no a/c upstairs, a representative from Fischer Homes that actually can make something happen (excluding current sales consultant), has not consistently reached out to my client to keep them in the loop as it pertains to a plan that will transpired. This issue has been very frustrating and disappointment of all parties involved. Come on Fischer Home!! Get this superintendent Rob in check, where he is doing a great job with communicating and following through. As of now, he is making Fischer Homes look dishonest and incompetent. Just, bad business!!

Not fixing a drainage problem

I live next door to Vista Hills in Fern Creek I live in Little Spring Farms. My back yard floods from Fisher Homes development. They moved the lay of the land and under developed drainage way. The water waste does not flow to culvert , it flows directly into my backyard. Called Joey Muncie several times , said it would be taken care of . Months later, still nothing resolved. My next step is an attorney.

Significant Building Issues Ignored

Our new condo being built by Fischer Homes is 3 months behind schedule at the moment. The slab is covered in 1/4 cracks and elevation changes at the cracks which means possible structural issues or not enough rebar was used, and they are unwilling to repair correctly. Overall terrible quality throughout. They built the wrong floor plan and didn't notice until we contacted them. It's a nightmare. Please don't use this builder.

Unsatisfied customer

Beware of Fischer Homes. They subcontract out to the lowest bidder, and the work shows. They don't honor warranties. They peed in my bathtub and ruined it. They sold me a premium lot and told me they would not build behind my home, and now they're building behind my home. They laid dead sod and wouldn't replace it. They didn't build sidewalks to code and now the whole neighborhood will be inconvenienced. Back out while you have the chance! No

Poor site supervisors

See attached photos. The photo will speak for it self. This is the quality that you would expect from such a builder. What's worse its the supervisor IN charge Tyler Sinclair, the one who spose to be in charge. Good luck on your home!

Horrible warranty and service

2 weeks in our house and have a ton of issues. Tried several ways to have carpet fixed (wrong carpet in multiple areas), squeaky floors (still waiting on repairs), horrible floor vinyl job (submitted claim and just ignored by company) every time I contacted the supervisor just getting ignored or lied.

New Home Warranty

Weve been in our new home since October 1st, 2021 and we are still dealing with issues. As of today, my upstairs gets no air flow and Im still waiting for the HVAC company. My side yard is a nightmare with standing water and I am sick of dealing with Fischer. I hate this process. There is constant tension in my household over the issues and not to mention our neighbors dealing with the same nonsense. The rest of the issues I am working on myself because I am tired of back and worth with Fischer and arguing with my husband. Im done!

I moved to our home in December 2021, We have waited for our rocks and construction waste to be removed so they can plant our grass. Still no reply from the builder, we were told that we had to wait

We were told that in March or April the lawn service would come to our property to remove the construction waste and the rocks. It is now May 18, 2022, our front and back yard is a DUST BOWL!!! We have no grass, and the hot season will be here in a couple of weeks. Even if they plant our lawn the heat will burn up the tender grass. We moved to our house in December 2021!! We were told to wait for our turn!!!!

Worst Company in the US - DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!

Original review Apr 19, 2022
Words cannot express how extremely disappointing and frustrating it has been working with this company. My kids put more effort and pride in their work than this company ever has. We were so excited to move to the Northern KY area and found what we believed to be our dream home. It just turns out that our dream home includes horrible craftsmanship, and we are going to have to pay upwards of $100k to get the house into a condition that it should have been in at the time we moved in. The warranty work was done incorrectly by the company and they refuse to come back and fix the issues. The paint that they use is the worst quality paint that can be purchased, and when they come back to fix the drywall, they use a paint color that doesnt match, so you will have blotches of different color paint throughout your house and you will have to pay thousands to to repairs your house. They messed up our kitchen island and made us feel guilty so that we didnt make them replace it to what we had paid for (dont let them make you feel guilty about them having to do additional work). I can go on and on and on about how much disappointment I have felt through this process. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID. DONT BUY FROM FISCHER HOMES!! * All photos Ive attached are AFTER the issues were fixed.

Choose someone else if you can - poor quality

I have a huge list of issues with Fischer but the most recent one is that my roof is leaking due to improper installation of the vent stacks. The house is only 18 months built. My experience with this company is that they do poor quality work, try to cut corners, and has no integrity when it comes to addressing issues. My roof issue is a fairly common issue in our neighborhood and I am waiting to hear if Fischer will cover and correct the issue. From my neighbor's experience they will not do anything even though the roof was not properly installed. So if you are looking to build a new home I suggest exhausting all other options before choosing to move forward with Fischer homes.

Extremely poor experience

Fischer is not the quality home they used to be. Dont be fooled. Quality now is terrible. Barely passes inspections. Cutting corners. Using bad quality contractors. Bad products. Poor customer service. Extremely overpriced.

Turnaround time for new bulit

Fischer Homes made false/fake promised during my contract signing. They are taking advantage of current housing market and signing unlimited homes and scamming their customers. I hope someone will step up and regulate their current business practice/model. If they have/foreseen constraints in the pipeline why are they provide fake promise to people and signing unlimited contracts. Do not believe this company for a bit. They need some challengers in the court room. Will definitely sue them fraudulent business practice.
