Treated like *** wasted my time

Awful. Two people getting their haircut waited over an hour hairdressers just wanted their shift to end. Do not leave a tip.

Terrible colour

Received the worst highlights in the history of ever getting my hair done. They were still unable to fix it after the second time. Definitely do not recommend getting it dyed at first choice.

Bad service

Went to the Bolton location this morning and was told it would be a one hour wait. They were to busy, all I saw was the staff watching soap operas in the back. To bust to do a 5 minute mens hair cut, WOW. I will never be back, this is my second bad experience at this location. Cant believe they are still in business.

Complaints

Visit your store on Cumberland drive in Cole harbour in Dartmouth Nova Scotia there is mold or dust all above the mirrors and the ceiling the store is filthy dirty. I have asthma and my breathing in the store and coughing was not fit. If I do not see changes I will be calling the health department. You need to send someone to the store to check out the dust and mold its disgusting.

I went and asked for a trim thin and straighten He cut my hair all over not parting in middle and now my hair is uneven Also he then said your done Well I never got my hair straightened I asked are u not using a flat iron and he said no its straight if I do that I will have it charge more and get everything heated up so will be a wait and basically argued with me No I already waited and specifically said straightened Now I have to save money to try and get it done right and fixed

Does not care - burned my face trying to wax it extremely unprofessionally and she missed a few steps while doing it. I asked her three times to clean up the back of my head.

The lady does not care. She did my perm put half the rods in then the other lady did from the same store and I had perm rods falling off my head.. 2 months ago.. Tuesday .. I asked her to wax my face she did it terribly wrong and I doubt she's got a certificate in any which way for it because she put hot wax in my face and then let it sit there for a bit, when you're supposed to put hot wax on someone's face and then not shove it into their skin and then pull it off... I would like to know why someone who hasn't been doing it is actually doing it... I asked her to clean up the back of my neck three times and then even told her another person got paid $80 to clean up the back of my hair and she missed it. So I'm coming to this lady now to get it done and I literally paid for a haircut and I only got half of it... Please please please make sure if someone's waxing they don't burn. And I'm pissed about this and someone is going to pay.

Never anytime for walk in customers even though u post a sign we.love walk ins

I have a busy schedule n when I walk up to numerous of ur venues they never have time for walk ins yet it is posted we love walk ins in the past it was never an issue but present there is never anytime for a.walk in but there.is always tomorrow.. only thing is I have time today its all about bookings now what made ur franchise unique was always walk ins but it seems u have joined the bookin club well u have lost my business n surely others as our so called group are the walkins n ur franchise is no longer unique

Worst hair cut ever

My son did his hair cut at Alliston ont location yesterday. Asked for a specific length to be left on top. Two fingers. She just cut him bold. Would never go there again never. My son was very upset

Liars liars liars

So 10:19 ( appt 1045) First choice elizabeth ave st.johns Nl calls to make sure we are coming to get our hair done, lady says we have 4 colours today and phones are crazy so . Get there to be told we cant do your hair lighter u have box dye in it . I have gotten my hair done at first choice many many times with box dye. So i know that they have now over booked themselves today we ate the first appoinent get rid of us and it will work out . How upsetting is this . A load of *** . The two ladies hide in the back of the store until we leave. I cannot believe this just happened. FIRST CHOICE HAIR SALON ON ELIZABETH AVE ARE LIARS AND SCREWED US OVER TODAY. NEW POLICY MY *** Not impressed . Disgusted . They should tell people this who they know are getting thwre hair dye they knew what we were getting done .

Bad Service

I booked an appointment for my son, showed up to find out they wont honor it and are taking 3 walk in before ua. HURON st London locstion . I called Clarke rd location and she said yes come now only to be greeted super unfriendly . Bad customer service/ rude and again we had to wait because a walk in showed up. We left.

Bad haircut

When to first choice on Huron and Highbury to get my hair cut the person that cut my hair had to be told 5 times how I wanted my haircut. There was an older lady in the store and the other hair stylist was yelling at her cause the lady couldn't hear her then the stylist that was cutting my hair started yelling at her too. I paid $29 for my haircut and it wasn't cut right. I went to another first choice and they had to cut my fix it. Never will I go back to that location again.

Cost of hair wash and little trim for the amount of $90.00

I took my grand daughter who is 13 to get a hair wash and little trim. At the end of it all it cost me $90.00. They might have put a bit of product in her hair but definetly not a style. I will not be going back there or recommend it to anyone else that is looking for a quick wash and trim. The employee, I can't remember her name as I was so mad at the price. I debated about writing this complaint but think it is necessary. As I said before I will not be coming back to this shop ever again. Plus what ever she put in her hair she immediately went and rewashed her hair as she did not like what ever the lady put in it.

BEWARE

Worst haircut and customer experience I have ever had. I have never left a google review before, but my experience was so terrible, I consider it a public service announcement. I went for a haircut because one side of my hair was clearly longer than the other. After chopping off way more than I asked for, it was still lopsided. I was told that was just my hair. I politely said I still wasnt happy with it and asked if there was some way I could style it for it to appear more even. The hairdresser (Tracey) became extremely combative, saying shes been doing this for 25 years and I was seeing things. I told her I didnt appreciate the attitude she was taking, as I had been nothing but polite to her and had not so much as raised my voice. I kid you not, she started screaming at me in a salon full of people. Another colleague had to pull her away. As a different hairdresser trimmed the portion I was talking about (so it was, in fact, uneven), I tried to diffuse the situation by saying that Ive worked in customer facing professions before and I understand some clients can be difficult and I was certainly not trying to do that, but her behaviour was not acceptable. She replied This is First Choice, if you wanted someone to spend an hour with you getting your hair right, you should have gone to a high end salon. I left speechless and in tears. DO NOT GO HERE.

Prices

Went to grand park store today service was good price is not right it cost 25.99 plus tax that is not right to get a hair cut the owner is ripping us off prices went up three times since he took over will not be going back there

Kasha the hairstylist

Unhappy with the haircut, She did a service in less than 5 minutes with no detail on checking if the haircut was even or even checking if need it more trimming here or there. Just such an uncomfortable experience. When I ask her to check if the length was even, she just replies "you ask for a one length" and go on and on silly comments that make the experience just unpleasant. When I go home I check my hair, and it looks just uneven. Very unhappy with this hairstylist, Kasha. I probably won't go back to this salon, or at least I will ask someone else to do the service.
