Reordering bank card and ATM cards (lost)

Sheri was very helpful with reordering new cards and explaining follow up steps. Thank you Sheri Customer service personnel have been trained very well, thoroughly .

Tried to payoff a loan

Tried to register an online account and it keeps telling me account cannot be found, yet I have the loan coupon booklet with an loan account number. Tried to call the 1-800 number a get a call center in India and can barely understand the person and hung up the phone in frustration. Worst auto loan experience ever its like the bank doesn't want you to make you loan payments so they can repossess your vehicle...what is this bank owned by the Mafia? Steer clear of this bank.

Internet Banking cannot be logged in

This morning 5/3 the bank came to carowinds, he helped me deal with the bank can not log in, sent an email to reset the password, but the same can not log in, can you help me solve this problem?

Thought my ss check went in on Friday which is 3 days earlier

Thought my as check would be deposited 3 days earlier, Have been getting it 3days earlier for 2 months but not this month

Openly express they don't want people coming into bank

I like to check 2x a month--1 time to make sure my SS check came in...the 2nd time to make sure my pension came in. I was told I come in too often and they have the right to pick what customers they want to come in. Of course, I'm changing banks ASAP. Their online banking is a hackers paradise. My online banking was compromised, but the bank did not inform me and I ended up losing a lot of money!

They do not answer the phone

I have been calling and pushing buttons for an hour now, going around and around and around. the recording won't take my information. There is no way to get a person on the phone. This bank sucks!!!

ATM problem

My wife and I are members of a credit union and if we don't use the CU ATM we use one at Publix, but today we were on our way to a flea market and needed a little cash so we happenstance stopped by the 5/3rd branch in Largo, FL and tried to use the drive through ATM. We knew there would be a fee involved, but when the system asked us to accept the fee which we did it suddenly told us her card was being kept for security reasons and didn't give us the $100 we requested. We knew she had funds available and never had a problem so we went inside politely telling the staff what happened, but the woman informed us if it wasn't a 5/3rd card they can't remove it and advised us to call our CU. We sat in the 5/3rd parking lot and did just that. Our CU canceled the card and issued another, but the rep said there was no reason he could see on his end why 5/3rd seized the card. After seeing all the negative reviews about 5/3rd i'm so glad we never joined that dubious establishment which apparently should be investigated by the government.

Did not contact Regional manager to approve a CD rate.

Two branches did not contact their regional manager to match CD rate from other bank even though they said the rate would be matched if I showed them proof. I can’t deal with liars.

FIFTH THIRD BANK HACKED

Case # 230627-****7905 / /Case # 17397**** answers, he would not give his last name, no phone #, no email. I do not trust him. He said I will get a call from another guy. When ? I am now starting to post on Social Media. FIFTH THIRD needs to resolve these fraud charges and refund us now. Our bank asked us to reach out and request an email from your team. The charges were posted as : 2.1.23 $2233.39 Trace #0173**** HERC RENTALS INC BT0131 00****20840**** Chef depot llc 020123 2.23.23 $2233.39 Trace #0944**** HERC RENTALS INC BT02222 0****021123**** Chef depot llc 022323 Our Company "Chef Depot " has never used HERC RENTALS. HERC company did not find these charges on these dates. Also, they did not get our bank "5/3rd Bank " Chargeback Letter. And they did not find our phone number or any of this info. in your system. Subject: RE: [EXTERNAL] Re: Attn: Susan @ HERC Rentals /Case # 17397**** I am checking further with our Accounts Receivable Team to see if I can find more information. As noted, Chef Depot doesn't have an account with Herc Rentals and I did not find any rentals attached to that company. Poor customer service

I have been calling since June 20 to get a large payment issue resolved and have spoken to several persons that have not been trained to assist me,also the customer service team refuses to transfer me to someone who can. This bank is not customer or employee friendly,and I am very disappointed that I cannot find anyone to speak to about my issue. I have had other issues in the past about a legal issue with the property I had a loan on ,and have also not received and assistance. I would not use this bank ever again..

5th 3rd Bank dropped me as a customer, saying I was doing unsafe banking

My fiancée and I tried to send $20,000 to a company she was dealing with in Bahrain. The back turned it down and said that wasn't safe to do. Being fed up with for 5-6 years, I decided to look for another bank. I opened an account with another bank and stated moving all my accounts to them. Fifth third accused by of (I forget their wording) unsafe practices and shut down my debit and credit cards and said I had 30 days to get all my money out, and they were closing all accounts. Put me in a hardship situation, couldn't pay my bills, etc. etc. The New bank let me transfer money, wire funds, do all kinds of things without accusing me of doing anything illegal, which I wasn't. The Woman in their fraud department was rude and unprofessional to the max. She didn't deserve keep her job!

Holding my money

I've been banking with fifth third for over 3 years now, they finance my car loan, so when I moved back to Cleveland I open a checking and saving account, where my paycheck are direct deposited, right now I'm so disappointed with them, I deposited a check from the owner of the company I work on 6/5/23 as of today 6/12/23 they still haven't released my money and said it will not be released until 6/16/23, I've never heard of a back having to hold a check for 2 weeks, I can't pay my mortgage or any of my bills this is unacceptable. I'm totally disappointed with how I'm being treated. This is how your customers are treated. I will be taking my business to another bank

Their Website Doesn't Work

I'm writing this review for two reasons. First of all, their website doesn't work. Secondly, I can't give them direct feedback about this, via E-mail or any typed correspondence. One key thing, that I now look for in a bank, is the ability to check my account, online, at any time. In the 21st century, this should be a standard feature for any bank. Fifth Third fails, miserably, with this. I signed up for online banking. Unfortunately, the website doesn't work, at least, half of the time. I try to sign in, but it won't let me. I've had to change my password, multiple times, despite typing in the correct one. Over and over again, it fails, and gives me a number to call, in order to resolve the issue. In the beginning, I called the number. I spoke with technical support, and they suggested things like, using another browser, or clearing out the cache of the browser. At first, using a different browser, seemed to solve the problem. However, now, that doesn't even always work. And why should I have to use a different browser, in the first place? Why can't they just make it work? I used to use PayPal. When I did, I never ran into these sorts of issues. Their website works, all of the time, as expected. I would switch back to PayPal, except they've made it difficult for me to add money to my account -- which is another problem that I don't completely understand. This is maddening. In this day and age, websites should work. I've wanted to E-mail Fifth Third, and send this frustration to them, as written feedback. However, they don't offer E-mail as a means to connect. They only give phone numbers. I don't like speaking on the phone, because they're usually only available during certain hours. Also, I'm, often, in a public setting, and I hate having to speak my business in front of complete strangers -- especially if I have to give sensitive information, like account numbers. I'm so fed up that I'll, likely, switch to a different bank. Hopefully, they'll be more modern, and will offer a website that actually works.
