MEGA 40 Problems

1. Pulls more electricity than stated, blowing breakers constantly. When I contacted them about it, they informed me it's impossible and the problem must be on my end. When I put it on the amp meter, the amp draw was more than what they state. 2. One of the condenser pumps stopped working right after we started using it. 3. The condenser pumps aren't secured. If the unit was to tip over, they will fall off the posts. 4. Good luck changing out canisters or performing maintenance, as everything is held together with hose clamps. The pressure gauges were clamped to the canisters, two of them being upside down. The cooling fans are hose clamped to the canister as well. 5. The unit is extremely loud. Partially due to the container it's in. 6. The air filters were dirty when it arrived. Better off, and money and hassle ahead, to have 4 separate units. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this outfit.

I am a victim of fraud and theft from Extreme Oxygen Products

I wish I had read the TERRIBLE reviews before I purchased!I bought a refurbished oxygen concentrator from Paul Ridgeway, owner of Extreme Oxygen Products. It arrived over seven weeks after I purchased it. This being said, Paul knows you cant get a charge back from your cc company after 60 days! It lasted less than forty hours and was really loud. Then it died. I sent it back on my own dime($150!)under the three year warranty he claims they have. Now months later, no machine, no refund, and now he doesnt answer his phone or reply to emails! This delay has cost my business hundreds of dollars! I am pissed! I am out over $1000 . Now I have to complain to Indiana Attorney General consumer protection to revoke his business license and whatever else I can do to prevent him from committing more theft. Looking at other reviews online, he has done the EXACT same thing to many many other people!! Do NOT buy his products!! He will rip you off!

Unusable out of the box

When my concentrator arrived I noticed there were black particles falling out of the bottom of the unit. I unscrewed the back panel to check it out before plugging in and am glad I did - the entire foam interior had crumbled. Even if I were to vacuum it I wouldn’t want to start the motor for fear of fire from particles inside the motor housing. Extreme Oxygen backs their products with a 3 year warranty, but this excludes return freight. How on earth should I be responsible for the freight on something like this? Just starting my claim today so we will see how this is resolved.

Decent product horrible customer service

I didn't have much trouble ordering or recieving the mega 40 I have had for around a year now but it is annoying at least in a few ways. For one it is very loud. I often wear ear plugs to mitigate the noise and even then it is very annoying. I am aware air compressors do make noise but this is louder than it should be. It must also be kept cool constantly with ice packs, like you see in the picture. If not something is bound to pop loose or break in some other way or just overheat. I also have tons of trouble getting the thing fixed when it broke. Twise now. Once for a gasket coming off of one of the sieve-compressor systems and once for the gasket going out of the machine coming loose. I do not look forward to it breaking again which it is honestly bound to. The case has at least 30 screws on it (makes it a *** to open any time you need to) and it is also very heavy (makes it very hard to get into alone (with nobody else to help)). When you finally do lift the case off you first need to detach a few wires and the gasket that attaches to the front of the machine while the case is half open (very hard to do by yourself). After that if something is broken, well, good luck finding out what or why or even how to fix it. The mega 40 did not even come with an instruction manual!! When I called the company during normal business hours after what turned out after some time to be the power switch being fried nobody answered and I had to wait until the next day to get help and the "help" I speak of is speaking to Paul on the phone trying to diagnose the problem. Very bad way of going about it and not helpful at all. I eventually had to tell him that I needed a new switch. He sent one out and I replaced it but not before blowing my breaker multiple times due to the wiring being off. For your own good and safety find some other comperable product than what this company sells. I bet it will have an instruction manual at very least.

I tried posting this review on glasssorbet.com but they didnt approve it

This Review was for the MEGA 40 LPM oxyegen concentrator please save your money and never order this or any product made from Extreme Oxygen. This machine is simply 4 10LPM concentrators put together in one box. save yourself the hassle and buy 4 separate concentrators and line time all together. this machine was so loud that I couldnt even use it, it was louder then any air compressor you ever heard. I had to take everything apart and make a new box for it, as i did that i found plenty of broken parts and melted filters, the whole thing was a mess, the compressors rattled so hard into the sieve bed that there is a quarter inch grind mark on each one, if i didn't take it apart to fix it the compressors would have eventually grinded right threw the sieve bed. even when the machine *** worked it never put out 40 lpms another great story is how Paul told me that he sent out my concentrator and that it arrived at the Canadian boarder and got sent back to him when in reality he didnt even start making the machine and was lying the whole time. he also did his very best to avoid talking me after i received the machine, i emailed and called him for a month straight until i emailed him off my girlfriends email asking him a simple questions that didnt involve me in anyway and he magically replied this is a very shady company and i recommend you stay very far away from them. i wasted over $3500 ordering this piece of junk and now it just sits in the corner of my shop because its completely useless

Buyer Beware

I have purchased 3 ex 20's. One showed up with the screws falling out of the compressor head. Called ABR same story call the manufacture. I told them i got no response so they gave me pauls number. I called his cell and finally he walked me through opening up the machine. saw the screws falling out he said he would send a new compressor. I had to contact him many times over 3 weeks before the new compressor shipped. I lost a month of work. I was not happy but bought a 3rd machine. It shows up with a bad sive bed. One again they send me the part but does not fix the problem I am currently waiting for a call. All I can say is 2 out of 3 machines showed up broken and I had to fix them my self. I seriously would not buy from them if you cannot fix the machine your self. Bad Product Bad, Customer service. Avoid them

Unhelpful Service Review

I've been trying to get over a year now. They have not been nice to me. They've done everythingthey could to not help me. I'm still stuck with an oxygen concentrator that doesn't work.

Extreme Oxygen is the Worst!!

The exact same thing happened to me. They act like you are bothering them when your machine breaks from normal use. They complain to you about how much they have going on and what they have to do, or how many machines they have to work on. Extreme Oxygen is very hard/impossible to get a hold of when something goes wrong and it takes a long, long time to get things fixed and then they blame you for warranty repairs and want you to pay for normal wear on the machine. Their warranty says "excessive wear" is not covered but they never state what the definition is "excessive wear" is. How many hours/tanks filled is "excessive"? I know that I did not over use my machine.

Horrible Product, worse customer service

Expect to receive NO customer service. Here is my experience in detail: I want an oxygen concentrator SO badly! So I have no reason NOT to love this product. I would save thousands of dollars and I wouldn't have to drive anywhere to fill it up each week! Honestly, these things are miracles, but unfortunately I have had a heck of time with these guys. I ordered the EX-15 from them in August. The disclaimer says shipping takes 2-6 weeks. When week six was about to end, I assumed they forgot to send me the tracking email, so I called to ask about the status of my package. The package had not been sent. Week seven flew by, I called again. Still hadn't been sent. Finally, after two months of waiting, I received and email that said it would be shipped in 5 days. I really didn't like that I had to call them to find this out. They had my email and phone number, why didn't they give me a courtesy call to say it would be late? It gets worse. I receive the EX-15 and when I turn it on, I noticed a few minor problems so I called Sundance for help who apparently didn't want to use their time to call the manufacturers so they had ME call the manufacturers (I find this really odd, I have never had Target, Costco, or any family business have me call the factory if I had a question about the product. My husband doesn't call Japan if he has a question about his car, he calls a Toyota dealership) but this would have been fine IF they actually returned my calls and emails. I didn't use the machine for 2 weeks, hoping someone would respond. When no one did, I tried calling Sundance, who told me to call the manufacturers again. I tested the machine (same results) and my call/message went unanswered. I waited another 2 weeks before testing the machine and this time it was FAR WORSE! It wouldn't run for more than a minute at a time (it was on, just not giving oxygen consistently). A little frustrated this time, I called Sundance glass who FINALLY contacted the manufacturers personally and Extreme Oxygen called me back. Since there are only two buttons, one tube, and instructions, I don't see how I could've set it up wrong-- but I may have! I was expecting them to instruct me how to set it up properly OR tell me how to fix it OR something! They told me to ship it back because it was broken. Like the story??? Because it gets WORSE!!! Shipped it back and they accused me of it being destroyed because the box looked bad-- the funny part was that they hadn't bothered to open the box, it was fine. They claim it was in perfect working condition and wanted to charge a $200 service fee plus shipping to get it back. WHAT!?!?! They said I just hooked it up wrong. While that may be true WHY DIDN"T THEY ANSWER MY CALLS FOR HELP!??!?!?!?! Why didn't they answer my questions???? WHY did not one bother to help me for an entire month? Why didn't they help me set it up "properly" when I asked them? By this time, I was feeling like I was dealing with scammers-- since they thought it worked fine I just wanted my money back so that I could find a different company and pay someone else for better customer service. I just wanted to get away from these people! They told me I could pay $75 for shipping (for a faulty product!) or get nothing. Seriously??? These people are extremely unprofessional. The owner, Brian, put me on mute and said "we can't do that" do everything I said. He wouldn't respond UNLESS I said "hello?" to see if he was still there! Doug was just playing good-cop bad-cop with me there entire time. He excused himself by saying "it's awkward for me because I'm caught in the middle". To me, EVERY company should be caught in the middle because they should not have flip-flopped me between themselves and the manufacturers in the first place! Of course, I don't like Extreme Oxygen. The more I read about them, the shadier they seem-- but Sundance glass is just as immature and sketchy. They agreed to a partial refund evetualyy but won't refund what we paid for shipping. Here is what I feel about that: If I knew it was a *** product, that I would be treated like *** for 3 months, that I could not finish making Christmas gifts by now then I would have NOT paid a dime. Not for shipping. Not for the product. Since I paid in full for the concentrator, then I should be refunded the full amount. My opinion is that they are two sketchy businesses working together. From the very beginning I have been completely ignored. That is NOT how you run a business I am so glad I continued to fight-- otherwise they would've taken a lot more money
