Leak in my storage locker

I tried to call the facility on Sunday but realized it was closed I went online I believe and filled out a report I got a hold of the storage manager on Monday he said that he would get a handyman to come and look at the unit I went by there on the 20th which was Tuesday and the handyman had not been there yet The manager did say that the lady beside my unit which is number 70 was coming in today Tuesday to open her unit to make sure nothing is being leaked on I went today and bought 10 totes to put my belongings in so they would not get damaged from the water leak in the ceiling there is water holding in the ceiling which it has leaked to the floor I had to remove everything from the unit on Sunday the 18th and put my mattress box spring up off the floor so it would not get wet I asked them storage manager on Monday if I could get another unit and he said he'd have to look into it today is Tuesday and I am yet in another unit instead of calling a handyman I believe you should be calling a roofer but my complaint is I am paying almost $200 per month now I have to worry about my stuff being damaged due to leakage of your facility I asked the gentleman if I could be moved but yet like I said it is Tuesday and he has not told me what unit to put my stuff in so that it would not get leaked on I am very dissatisfied and very on edge about my items being in your storage locker so please give me a call back 941-467-**** My unit is number 70 Sylvia McErlane I did not take pictures of the unit I opened it up on Tuesday The manager did not take pictures either I will go there again on Wednesday and take pictures and send them to you now my question is how is this going to be resolved

I was falsely accused by site manager of giving my pass code out. I keep telling him to look at the gate log to see if my number was used two different times the night night he saw other customers the

Just a few days ago my items got stuck in elevator. It shut after I got out didn't open. Next day I was accused of tampering with elevator. I tried to explain if door hits the cart on angle it can mess door up. He said on my machine he has my items and I can get them in 2 days. He waited to call til 3 minutes before office closed on a Tuesday . Him not there Wednesday. I drove by facility and found 2 vintage Ethan Allen chairs in the garbage. He kept some stuff and tossed out what he decided. The photo I added is one of my units that the site manager mops around and doesn't clean mine since I started to complain about the condition of building since he started

Complaints

No one has reached me about my complaint nor have I received my payment received request. I have been emailing since January 12,2023 and been given the runaround am frustrated with this *** .can't even talk to corporate because they keep telling me they will escalate this issue to a supervisor and still nothing has been done about it.

Discrimination

I'm being singled out by a manager named erica at state st extra storage in bridgeport I had a issue where they lock me out my unit for be 5 days late with my payment which I lost money's because I couldn't get me tools I made a complaint then its seem very hostile there so I move to extra storage e.main in Stratford so I called bridgeport by accident to make payment I spoke to erica she didn't realized I moved so I told her I call the wrong office so called e.main and had them double my storage bill which ive been there for two month it went from 70 dollars to 145 dollars ridiculous I wouldn't never move in if I would of known of this tactic so unprofessional. I would like to talk to a representative from your company I'm being represented by a attorney that need contact info...thank you

Manage told me nothing I can do or say to make them do there job accused me of trying to get something for nothing. Claimed not her fault that I could not get into unit I rented and for being locked in to consider my self lucky I was not arrested for breaking and...

Not a word they have no intentions of resolving this. Customer service just says ill escalate but nothing ever happens.

I packed my stuff and moved on will never make this mistake. Carma is coming around she always makes.it right.

I rented a unit to store things while moving 2 week in advance to make sure all was set on the last day I could not get in my unit I called office closed on Sundays so I called customer service lady there tried to help after about hour an 40 minuets I was tired an needed to figure things out but lady on phone wanted me to keep running back to key pad to change code to get me into unit. She got passed and hung up.on me. I tried to leave but code would not let me out of gate!!! I'm locked inside I had to wait for someone to come so I could get out now my day is wasted I have till 6 pm to have things out of house its after 3 I had to rent a truck to store my things 170 plus has. Calling the office next day I'm told manager is on vacation ill have to wait. This lady tells me how sorry she is but can only give me 36 dollars off my.rent ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I call customer service and they are gonna escalate it . They put a note in file and were done. I call they 7 times and they even have a district manager saying she called me. NONE OF THIS HAPPENED. THEY DO NOTHING TO FIX WHAT THEY SHOUKD. BEWARE DONT TRUST THEM. LOTS OF OTHERS WILLING TO FIX EXTRA SPACE short Cummings. Is waste of your hardha do earned money

I’m mad

I rented a 10 x 10 unit for $89 in December 2022. I have it on auto payment now in March 2023 I noticed that randomly the payment went up to $141. When I called, I spoke to a lady named Tara. She said well your unit is listed below market value, and I said well that doesnt give you the right to randomly raise my bill. Thats *** and she said I will not stand for people cussing at me iamb done with this conversation and Im gonna report you for swearing at me Told her I was not swearing at her that I needed. My bill straightened out. It was not fair that without warning she would raise my bill. She said a notice was sent out. I told her no there wasnt because I get all of my mail and I said so you cant say that I didnt and she got mad at me again and said well Im done with this call because you swearing at me and you said the word *** so Im done with this call and Im gonna report you for cussing at me and I said well then I will report you for your bad customer service, but that doesnt change the fact that my bill was raised without my permission , she hung up on me. I keep trying to call back and it just wants to send me back to her. I want to report her for hanging up on me. I want to report them for raising my bill without notice a rate increase is five or 10% not going from $89-$141 without my permission this is why people hate putting things on auto payment because they took $141 without my permission they only had permission to take $89 that should be illegal

Manager used my card to charge on another account by mistake when I opened my account, said they reversed charge. They did not. I ended up being charged over $266.00. Horrible Customer Service!

Having an issue with Extra Storage Space right now myself. I just rented a unit from them a few weeks ago. At the time, the manager had two screens pulled up on her computer while starting my account. She clicked on the wrong screen and charged my debit card $266.00 on another person's account. She explained she did this in error and said the charge was reversed. I thought well we all make mistakes. Though, I should have seen a red flag with this blatant error on the manager's part. So I opened my account and was charged around $106.00 with first time admin fees. The manager said the $266.00 should be reversed in a few days. So I waited and noticed a few days later that a charge of $266.00 was pending. So I thought, well the charge is pending and will be reversed. It was not, $266.00 was deducted from my account. There was no reversal. I talked to an assistant manager at the Extra Storage Space where this happened. They pulled up my file and said there were no extra charges to my account. Then I explained, the manager charged this to another person's account. I sent an email with screenshots of the pending $266.00 charge and then a screenshot showing my bank statement showing the completed $266.00 charge to my account. Which was not reversed. I called the manager, and they asked for a hard copy of the online bank records. Which I provided in person. The manager was very indignant and acted like this was my fault. I told them that I had reported this charge to my bank and had my debit card number changed. This was then taken up by the bank as a fraudulent charge. The manager said they would not speak to my bank and that this appeared on her computer as a reversed charge. And that Extra Space Storage accounting department would take it from there. They could not care less that I have not been able to use these funds for well over a week. My bank has temporarily refunded the $266.00 to my account. I will be taking my items in storage out next week and closing my account with Extra Space Storage. My feeling is that they don't feel responsible for their own charging error. I would not recommend anyone store their personal or business items with Extra Space Storage.

Was told they were escalating the matter. As of today not a word!!

Is very very wrong to leave it hanging i paid for a service I had to get something else cuz one I paid for was broke and look still blown off. I say don't use them at all not reliable!

It started off great got my space had it a week needed it bigger no problem had it 10 before I needed to be out of place. On the last day you know crunch time I could not get in to my space the key pad not working then no one in office takes 20 at a minimum to get to human I'm getting upset inhave people helping and they need to get going ..I... I get a person that seems to rhink i can run back and fourth to the keynoad with evetu code under son to get in after a while I'm getting really miffed this person can't grasp I HAVE TO GET IT TODAY OR IM SCREWED SO NOW SHE APPALED THAT I can't send all day doing this and hangs up on me. I head for the gate to.leave and I can't get out now!!! Try again nothing now I'm passed off and the dig needs to.go. 20 minuets later I get another on phone tell her and she puts me on hold to call a manager!!! not to many folks go to.storage on sundays..So while she decides that I should go back to unit and play the code game I see a truck coming so I race out when he gets in NOW I HAVE TO RENT A TRUCK AT THE LASR MINUET AND THAT AINT CHEEP cuz I can't use the storage I ALREADY PAID FOR. LONG STORY SHORTER 7 CUSTOMER REPS LATER THEY GIVE IT TO.MAMAGER AND THIS PERSON TELLS ME SHES SORRY YADA YADA YADA BUT SHE CAN GIVE ME 36 BUCK OF ONE MONTHS RENT@ I PAID 170 PLUS GAS FOR TRUCK. ARE THESE PEOPLE KIDDING ME??? TELL ME CUSTOMER SERVICE WOULD THIS BE ACCTABLE TO YOU??? I KNOW LETS TAKE A POLL ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Never fixing my storage door and i ran into cause it came down

So from day 1 my door on storage would not stay up by itself I tried on 2/7/23 to contact someone about me running into the door and getting hurt couldnt get through to anyon I asked Tiffany about getting door fixed nothing ever happened with it I also spoke to Edward and Sean that work there still no one ever helped me get my door fixed I should have called 911 when I ran into the door because it had creeped down by itself Im still thinking of contacting an attorney to find out my rights I called the number on door 888 storage the number Edward gave me to contact someone all that number done for me was to send me back to Edward whom was very rude

Storage unit broken into - moved units and expected credit

We moved into extra space about 2 months ago. Been paying our premiums on time and didnt have any issues with our 5x5 rental unit until about 2 weeks ago. I went in to get a few things out of my unit and when i tried to use my key, i was unable to open my lock. My key fit in but wouldn't turn. Thats when i noticed the gap between the door and the track. I immediatly called my boyfriend and told him something was wrong with my key and the door looked like it was off the track. He came and looked at it and we went up to tell the storage manager. We realized our lock was unable to turn because someone had broken in to our unit and our door was able to be lifted even with the lock in place. We asked to move to a different unit since our door was broke and our unit had obviously been broken into. So she gave us another unit down the row from our current unit and it was marked as a 5×5 like our current unit. So while she and my boyfriend went up to do paper work and compelte the move info, I stayed behind to start moving our stuff. After i had made a few cart load trips back and forth, my boyfriend called and said the new unit was bigger. It was marked wrong and was actually a 5×10. At this point i was already beyond frustrated. I couldnt tell if any of my stuff had been stolen, I had planned on being here for 5 minutes to grab one thing but instead had been here 2 hours dealing with this mess and having to move my entire unit. Extra space said another unit had also been broken into and they found it the day before. I put my stuff here because i wanted a secure space for my stuff. After i got home and had a minute to think about the situation, im a bit thrown off by the fact that the storage place didn't offer me a credit for the new, bigger unit, considering the waste of time and big hassle it was to move all of my stuff and deal with this whole situation. Honestly, i feel like i paid for a secured unit in their facility which, obviously wasnt secure. I didn't get what i paid for and now im paying more for a bigger unit on top of it. I was told the recordings would be reviewed but im sure that hasnt happened and no one has followed up with me at all since we reported it. For the hassle and inconvenience, i feel like they should have at least offered 2 months free. Hours of moving my unit after someone violated me by breaking in and going through my private stuff and the storage facility didnt even notice the door was pried open during their walk through. On top of it, i was told there was going to be a credit of $20 something on my account and that isnt even on there. Hopefully someone will make this right. My unit is in the El Cajon location at Parkway plaza.

Climate control problem and the on site manager

The man on the management lead team promised me he would not tell the mean on site manager who my unit number or who I am for my protection. Three days after I spoke to him, the on site manager surprised me and horrified me at the same time - by just walking up to the gate and waving me down early in the morning at 7:30 a.m. to confront me. It was very nerve wracking and very uncomfortable and she seemed to enjoy making me squirm. It was awful. She could be a lot nicer - why is she always scolding customers in such a caustic way?

They have different rules for different color of people and Im going to prove it The extra space storage thats located off coda Street in corona California manager or general manager name Paul has singled me out and evicted me after two months of storage rental along with another tenant and Ill leave his name out for right now but what has happened is that this man before one month was over I had four incidents from not me but people reporting false information or him assuming other information Mr. Paul lied said to me that they no longer do business rentals there do they did away with it you have to be grandfathered in that was a lie the next thing is they have lights inside of their units I dont have one he gave me the one that doesnt have one and Im told they were doing away with it over a month ago that the general district manager was coming down to do an assessment and they would start work were going on three months nothing I ask when was he coming no update I asked for lighting in my storage unit nothing told me no I said reimburse me for the batteries that Im buying that cost me $30 just to like this for a few hours no I need to use the restroom I have a medical condition I need to use the restroom whenever this happens and its very painful and I am on the floor wrapping and playing until I can go he told me I didnt want to see the restaurant because someone had put fecal matter all over the walls so he had to lock it down three weeks were in the fifth week biohazardous is what he used he said he would have to call to have it clean its still locked so my unit is one building away and the wind has been blowing so I might be contaminated inside he leaves it infested its next to a train track where its an open field and its dark on this facility yard anything can happen I have headaches now and pretty sure some loss of hearing due to the train that comes constantly and it extremely loud they dont tell you this while youre renting so you can make an informed decision what he has done is he made allegations that he said after Christmas he came back to watch the video specifically looking for myself in the other tenant and he saw us extensively walking to yards after hours the facility Lie I told him of two incidents the first incidents when I first checked and I had checked into the business EIM number and I got locked in here second one my battery died on my phone and I had all my S boxes out of my unit trying to straighten it up because they fell into each other and my inventory was being broken when I realized my phone was off when I went to check it it was already past 10 it was 11 oh my things were out so I had to put them back in it took me till 6 oclock in the morning well actually 5:50 AM constantly working nonstop I worked so much that I couldnt close my fingers my hands wouldnt work I was sending signals but they would not work it scared me I thought I was having a stroke I got off the yard and apparently someone told him his little henchmen in here because they circle around and they mean mug as they look at us like were not supposed to be here and were two people of color so they look at a Sordale ask my other person that I know no relation he didnt know that he thought we were related thats why he did it bad move but anyway they would ask him where are you going looking at him like they wanted to jump on him hanging or do something or they would sit in front of the gate when I would be coming in and just look at me with their lights on so I couldnt see them if they could see me so I would get out my car to open the gate and arm it just would open they never got out the car but the gate was open like what is this and then they drive by and they would stare me down so so terrible and scary I didnt know what to think all I knew was that I thought these guys are gonna try to hurt me thats how they look then I saw two Hispanic ladies with a toddler and a box coming out of the street sweeper thats parked here they dropped the box which made me look up and I saw them running and they were trying to hurry up and get out Im like what is going on here are they still in or they are illegal being smuggled through here theres a lot of people living in this facility he evicted the other person for that reason but he knew he was here on the rails pretenses hes been here like five months and he knew it he told us that when we asked where are you going to evict everyone else that lives here because he knows some of his friends are staying over here and he says I didnt see their video I only saw yours you too what does that mean to me if you have one camera you see everything and thats a lie because I wasnt walking this passivity the next thing is he gave dates he didnt tell me he filed a report with the corporate office after the fact no policy and procedure no warnings none of it one time he said to me at the very beginning be careful because they may wanna kick you out if you do that all the time Im thinking how to *** he dont say that and people live in here I said OK no problem I said I dont wanna be here anyway then he accused me of renting a storage unit for another person he had evicted but when they came and told me he said me I went up there and he lied and say oh no with somebody name Amanda I missed that he didnt mess up he just thought he wouldnt tell me so here we are now heres how Im proving its singling out and its discrimination he gave dates to the corporate office he didnt give us dates he didnt tell us that but he mentioned one day December 26 that date right there I was moving out of another storage unit and they made an allegation because someone tripped the alarm and used my checking number someone has stolen my checking number and used that same night and they said it was me right but my location on my phone puts me at home so who is lying the other storage unit has already conceded and decided to go into negotiations because they knew they were lying because they would lose this storage unit will lose because they refused to just give me my two months of rent back and compensate me for the damage to my hearing and to my head for the slow train and for the falling in the unit due to no lighting in the yard is dark if someone were to come I would be in trouble what I found out is that these facilities are this way each manager of a facility has the right to do whatever they feel because they receive kickbacks for the on-time payments and the raising of rent but heres how the rip raising go they dont raise everyones rent now this came out of Pauls mouth to me exactly before all the bad happened he told me they raise rent to whoever they want whenever they want however many times they want and how much they raise it is up to them totally they raised the person who he also put out he put us out together he raise his rent $50 heres where Im at thats singling out prejudice discrimination next thing is Security each facility manager puts their own type of security measures in place although the in the company carries insurance anyway but they make you pay that thats just money that theyre using to pay for their insurance because they cannot do anything with it because theyre not licensed to sell you any insurance and if you bought any insurance from any other storage rental places you need to go and read the law or consult an attorney because if there wasnt a license agent who sold you insurance for your storage unit youre wasting your money and they are illegally selling things theyre not supposed to theyre supposed to be license you cannot be a third-party selling insurance you cannot quote numbers you need to get them for that and if your rents been raised constantly ask some of your neighbors and get a statement because its supposed to be fair next thing is watch the charges on truck rentals and things they charge different prices for convenience fees thats just money they put in your pocket watch how youre being charged with mileage and things because its not working and they will overcharge you and Pat your deals Uhaul did that to me Im going to tell you guys this unit here extra space storage they are very corrupt people and they will put a report on you and you will not even know it and they will call it resolved meaning that they spoke with you youre in agreement and you were on a mission to guilt you cannot get copies of this so they can erase it if they need to but thats neither here nor deal with theyve done is theyve done wrong and Im going to sue them if you have any complaints or anything against extra space storage and you wish to join me and we can probably go to class action I will be more than willing to do that and I want him I dont care if they keep them here but theyre gonna get rid of everybody here and then the FBI can come and investigate to see if theyre smuggling illegals through their street sweepers so thats about all Im gonna tell you for right now because its all idiots but I will not deal with this place they dont give me lights I falling in this unit and Im not even feeling safe and Im here now I dont feel safe at all so
