Faulty pedal

order number EVAN400001****5404 GERALD SMITH 89 ROBERT BURNS AVENUE G81 2EG I have been riding my bike nor for a week and the left pedal seems to be bent. i have taken it off several times and replaced but still the same. the right pedal is fine. I have tried to contact you on your website, which is terrible wort i have ever experienced in trying to contact you. can you p[lease help with the pedal.

Very poor customer service regarding a faulty product

I purchased a Bontrager Ion Pro front light from them for £100 as I wanted to get the best light that I could. As I am a recreational cyclist I have only used this a handful of times. I went to use this light recently and it will not work on full power. After researching this it is a very common complaint that other retailers have swapped over. I have contacted Evans customer service and because this is very slightly out of warranty they have refused any help whatsoever. I appealed this decision but they have still refused any help when this is clearly a faulty product that Bontrager are aware of.

NEXT DAY DELIVERY FAILURE

Hi there, Not much of a welcome alas. Re my order details below placed for next day delivery but not received yet or advised out for delivery yet by the carrier. Am aware you confirmed and advised next day delivery but carries says not received until next day, given that I paid extra for this delivery and not received please be so kind as to refund my next day payment straight away. Hi there, I've bought a muddy fox bike from yourselves here in st Helens Merseyside, and I just want to leave a review on your page, it's a fabulously great bike, it's awesome, I'm so very very pleased with it, I just can't fault it honestly, love it to be honest!!! Information

I am communicating you as a curtesy only to inform you that there could be a tech problem at your Chester store. Recently my son purchase a ebike and two escooters pre built, the ebikes bottom bracket was loose and the back brake calliper was out of line, the escooters handlebars were loose and one of the handlebars safety caps was the wrong way around. Ive rectified these and made both safe. As I mentioned earlier Im only getting in touch to inform you that there could be a tech problem at the Chester Store that may become a safety issue.

Wont fix my bike under the guarantee

I bought a pinnacle cobalt 4 in 2017 its a great bike and i cleaned it after every ride and kept it indoors when not using .in October 2021 i was out doing my leisure ride around the countryside when i slumped to one side .i thought the wheel hub had gone so i checked and to my surprise the weld on the wheel stay had broken.now im 51 yrs old and do not do jumps or take rough ground .i took bike to norwich shop in October and they agreed the bike was in immaculate condition except that the weld had clearly failed .they said they would have a look to see what they could do.they said i would have to provide my proof of purchase which i couldnt find but i said i will be on your system because im a regular customer and bought 4 bikes from evans in the last 20 yrs .they said that evans had accidentally deleted all customer records a couple of years ago (very convenient for evans )but i remembered that i bought the bike on credit with evans and i went through my bank accounts and found it was with v12 retail finance. I phoned them and they said it was with evans and they sent me copies of my payment details. I gave this to the shop and they said they would get back to me .its nearly 6 months now and although ive been back several times for progress nothing has been done.my bike is sitting in the shop and nothing done .why is this ?ive been a good customer for 20 yrs and have always praised evans for bikes and service.all evans have to do is contact v12 to clarify my purchase and fix the bike under the 10 year frame and forks guarantee. Ive tried to call head office but no valid phone number. This is ridiculous evans was such a good company whats happened. Im now considering legal action as 6 months waiting for repair is totally unacceptable.

Deposit

Evan's Braehead took a £250 deposit and then they're tills mysteriously crashed and then said the deposit never went through even though my bank shows it as taken, Evan's claim it's a"SHADOW" payment and would rebound back but here we are a week later and it's still not back, a joke of a company. Check trust pilot before shopping there and be wary of using bank cards when paying instore because if it turns out faulty you wont get a card refund DONT SHOP HERE

Returns policy

They accept refunds of whole bikes but only if the bike is sent in its original packaging to their sheffield address AT THE COST OF THE CUSTOMER. A package that big and heavy (and ive tried them all i promise you) is well over £100. Any attempt to gain some sort of assistance from Evans Cycles on this matter is batted away as not-their-problem (my words, not theirs) I have a feeling they ship these in oversized boxes to make it impossible for domestic returns The customer support is also lacking in the number of people they have on staff and the frequency in responses.

Non-delivery of order

Ordered a Christmas gift for my Son from Evans Cycles, was told it had been despatched and Hermes would deliver, then received the following message from Hermes a week ago: "12:51 - Fri Dec 10 - We're sorry, we were unable to deliver your parcel today. We're working to get it on its way and we'll update your tracking once it's out for delivery" It's now Friday 17th December,and nothing from Evans or Hermes, and I can't get through on either of their chat rooms, and the phone number for Evans won't ring. Not happy.
