Need to transfer my Domain to my godaddy account. {{Redacted}} Please advise on what you need to transfer my business domain

Sold my account and did not notify me

I have been an Enom customer for years. Then suddenly a domain name I handle for a client expired with no warning or notice from Enom, so I talked with a representative. After waiting over 20 minutes on hold, someone finally answered and looked up the account. He informed me my account had been sold to another company. I was told they sent an email at the time, but when I searched there was no sign of it. The new company closes at 8pm every day, so my client's website is down for a whole night before a big event. How is it even legal to sell someone's account to someone else without their consent?

Terrible company now, no longer reliable

Stay away from enom. They are unreliable now. We renewed a domain but the renewal was pending for 24 hours. We submitted a ticket but no response. Spoke to Live Chat, and were told that "it can take longer to renew a domain now as the process has changed to weed out fraudulent orders and if not then they will escalate it but we recently started using a new processor for orders that's automated to help to weed out fraudulent orders. As it works it learns and the delays will be come fewer and far in between. I will submit the ticket for you, incase the order doesn't process within the 24 hour time period. The team that process the escalations though won't be available till Tuesday because there is a holiday on Monday, and we are in Canada." So an internet company in the year 2019 expects our website and email to stop work whilst they are on holiday?

Domain Renewals - Google & Enom Partnership (Ripped Off!)

I registered my Domain with Google about 7 years ago, and had been previously charged $20 a year for auto-renewal. I forgot to renew a credit card that expired, which I had been using for auto-renewal, and found out that my domain expired a few days ago. I am sure this happens a lot, so no big deal right? I went in and renewed the payment information, and was told by Google that the expired domain was now up to date and renewed. Not so, as I was still not receiving Google mail through that domain. 10 calls totalling 5 hours to both Google and Enom support, I was told that the only way to renew the domain was to set up an account with Enon. Not only did it take 5 hours and 10 calls to get that answer, but on top of that, ENOM will not set up your expired domain without a $49.95 payment. Since at that point, I couldn't transfer the domain to GoDaddy (who charges $7.95 for the transfer and around $10 a year for domain hosting), ENOM could essentially name their own price. The only other option was to let the domain stay in expired state which is not an option for most users. If Enom would have said that expired domain renewal is $500, I'd have had to pay it! So, I am out $50, and 5 hours of my time, because Google decided to partner with Enom for domain services and I forgot to update my credit card at renewal time.

No Support

When submitting tickets in their help center, they don't respond to tickets. When you push the issue they will finally respond, days later. Some times takes a month to get any resolution to an issue. NO ONE SHOULD DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

Horrible

I paid for an Enom reseller account. I then paid for the Instant Reseller storefront and a domain to go with it, even though the domain is supposed to be free according to the website, it is not and they will charge you for it. It has been a month and the Instant Reseller site still does not work. I also have two domains and hosting purchased a month ago that I have not been able to use because they give access denied errors. I am out somewhere around $150.00 and have receive nothing for my money except for the same old run around "the developers are working on it". It shouldn't take a month to make a website work.

Terrible terrible terrible service!

I have been a customer for 15 years and have hundreds of domains with Enom. My account balance was low so I refilled it with my credit card (which is usually instantaneous) but this time it was not updated in my Available Balance. When I contacted customer support they said that they need the Risk management team to review my payment and since it is a holiday it will only be reviewed on the next working day and since it's a long weekend that means Tuesday! As a result, they took my payment, didn't update my balance and this means that I cannot renew one of my client's domains until their stupid risk management team is at work! In that case they should be working 24 hours even on holidays. How silly does it sound that an internet company selling domains does not have 24 hours service?

Terrible Support

Enom has been in the domain game for over two decades, unfortunately you can see what a shell of a company is left after GoDaddy and others have crushed them in the market. Their control panel is circa 2001 and their phone support is non-existent. You just sit on hold for 30 minutes to be put on hold again. It is pathetic. We've been using other companies for domain management for 16 years and never dealt with such poor support. Some of our vendors even call us annually to see how we're doing, remind us of expiring services, and offer us unprompted discounts. Do yourself a favor - save your time and spend your money somewhere elsewhere - there are plenty of domain companies to choose from.

Worst service ever

Our DNS info on their servers was changed and NOT by us. Their support was basically non-existent. The 24 hour line said sorry we are closed for training please call back.Promised call backs were missed after we spent hour and days on the problem. We are now no longer their customer! I was told that our breech was not a priority because their tech were working on a new payment system that wasn't working. I was also told (twice) that some would give me a call within 24-28 hours. Six days later still no call. If your up-time is important don't use this company. Thank-God

Autopay when its turned off and to expensive

I always turn autopay off yet it seems to always be turned back on. I have put up with their overpriced services for far too long. $49.95 a year. I tried to call them but their customer service is closed. So I call godaddy and open 24/7. Just got off of the phone with godaddy and they transferred my account for only $7.99 and threw in a year for free with a renewal rate of only $14.99. They helped keep everything online at 12:09am. Running very fast away from enom. Then this morning at 8am sharp I get a phone call from enom. The lady on the other end offered to refund my money and give me a promotional rate since I was a long term customer. But I had to renew for 10yrs! The promo rate was 30% off. Thats still $349 for 10yrs and godaddy without any discount if I prepay for 10yrs is $149. I'd rather go with that. I told her no way and hung up the phone.

Overage fees applied illegally, silence and issue deemed as solved!

Enom applied illegal overage fees to me : I I was billed on february 6th 44€ extras as "Bandwith Overage Fees". However, I was cautious on previous month to activate the option Autoupgrade activated for Bandwith Overage and had 400 GB of bandwith. Additionnally, the 400 GB of Bandwith is os 341 GB as of today, so there is no overage of my 400 GB. I had to be billed $8.85 only. I only recognise the amout of 8.85 + taxes associated. You can see the proof in the 2 attachments. I requested the refund of the extra of 44€ + the taxes associated to this concept to the credit card to which it was billed. As the support center did not answer to my ticket in 4 business days, I called them, in 20 minutes over the phone anyone picked it up, then I chatted with a after sales employee who were not able to solve my issue. He asked me to open another ticket. Finally 15 days afterward Enom deemed my issue as solved. No reason was given and they don'0t seem to be willing to give me the money back for overage fees they invented. If getting the service is pretty quick comparing to competitors, once we have any problem Enom just abandons his customers. Don't trust them and make business with more reliables companies.

Resolved: Horrible customer service

Refund in full. Many emails but the situation is now resolved.

I received a reply from eNom. They have fully refunded my costs! I consider this a small miracle and I am now a happy consumer.

Original review Oct 17, 2017
After being misled as to the cost of hosting a domain and believing that the web builder was included discovered they wanted to charge me a seperate fee. I tried to work with them changing my plan promised a refund but their customer service was so slow I chose to move to another service. I was promised by no less than 4 service reps that I could expect a refund. They are happy to steal your money and lie, and when confronted by their deception they refuse to answer your emails and hang up. No refund as of 20 days into this mess.

Support is Extremely Slow and They Don't Care

Been an Enom Reseller for the past several years. I've only used them for domain registration and SSL keys. On several occasions, when I've had to call for support, I expect to wait an hour or more on the phone. I also expect not to get a reply to a support ticket for a few days. But when I have urgent matters, like Enom's systems not working, and need immediate support (like today) and can't get a hold of them, it is infuriating. If you decide to use Enom, be prepared for the very slowest, worst, uncaring support experience. It is virtually impossible to reach them during or after hours. Just waited 48 minutes on hold and when support picked up, they said hello and dropped the call. Called back and it's been 22 minutes on hold so far. I have an urgent issue and can't get their website to work. I am stuck and my customer is pissed off. If you use Enom, be prepared for a terrible support experience! And set aside a few days as it will take that, or longer, for even the simplest support requests. Just terrible! I have already moved new business back to NS.

Horrible customer service - openly hostile to customers

I would avoid doing business with this company. I'm a full time web developer with experience using multiple hosting companies. I had to set up a hosting account with enom because my customer's domains were registered there, and they wanted domains and hosting to be at the same location. I tried to purchase and set up the hosting account online, and it didn't work for whatever reason, so I called their support line and was put on hold twice actually for at least 20 minutes each time. when I called back and asked if there was any way to get help, the customer service agent was not helpful, and extremely rude and sarcastic. The worst experience I've ever had with a hosting companies customer support. It's as if they are openly hostile to customers for some odd reason.

Put on hold TWICE for 45mns

The third time I told them NOT to put me on hold and they hung up on me. Geez-a! I have never been treated so rudely as this. I can't get into my account to renew so I'll lose my domain name. Very frustrating and no help at all. It even more frustrating that being required to type 100 words here! Lorem ipsum {{Redacted}}

Renewed without permission

Our business burned in Sept. We immediately cancelled with our website administrator. Several years ago our domain name was transferred to enom. We legally closed the business toward the end of Jan. but when closing the bank account for the business we found they'd taken out money for renewal which wasn't due until February. I made numerous calls; enom insists the website holder still has the domain name (which they don't) and refuse to refund my money. They said they notified me--which they didn't. They have disconnected phone calls to them in mid-sentence or transferred me to recordings that then disconnected. The website administrator said they've also found enom impossible to deal with.
