I cant access my account

I tried to get into my account and received a message that stated my account is inactive and to contact member services. I did this. Member services "couldn't get into that info and has to pass it on". So no resolution today.

Sent check to address instead of paypal

She updated my address and re issued another one via PayPal for March. I'm in no rush for the reward just wanted to get the information correct. She helped very much!

Don’t bother!

1. Money earned is not posted to the account in a timely fashion. 2. Even with invoices and proof of purchase from participating stores, ebates tells you, you did not make a purchase, hence no money back. 3. Continually having to check if cash has been added, continually having to request help at finding cash back. 4. Once a find my cash back for “missing money” a message is sent that money was added to your account but it is not visible to you in your account information. 5. Becoming just too much trouble, it seemed much better before it went to Rakuten.

Long Time Customer Of 6 Years

Following Years of loyal service and referrals, we are NO LONGER RECEIVING our MONEY BOOKING or Purchasing through the now OWN RAKUTEN!!!! Checks have dwindled to $6.00-$12.00 from $600.00. We spend Thousands!! Airline Tickets, Hotel Rooms, Merchants. We are making you $$$$$$$. You also OWN Giving Cabin and kicked me out of my account for NO REASON! Time to Pay UP or WE ARE Finding something else! I would give -Stars if they had them!

Link never works

Laura was very pleasant & helpful. We resolved the issue & merged my 2 email accounts, & she explained that Walmart & Amazon don't always give discounts on all items. I am 100% satisfied with your customer service

Hidden malware

I had to uninstall from toolbar. The pushiness of this company's advertising had gotten into my private poshmark account trying to sell a similar item while I was in my closet. Customer service does not exist. It froze up my pc 7/5/19. I had windows defender run a full offline scan. After restart, there they were, trying to install again.

Improperly denied large cash back claiming bogus excuses

Let me start by saying that I've been using Ebates for many years as my sole cash back program and have referred several people to them. I haven't had issues in the past properly getting cash back, but it's always been small amounts. I also have their Chase card for an additional 3% back when going through Ebates, 1% on all other purchases (relevant later). Recently they had a big deal going on - 15% off storewide at Academy. I was making a big purchase of over $500, so I made sure everything was done right. I went to Ebates and accessed Academy through their portal. I didn't close the window or open any other sessions, and didn't use any coupons. I also checked the Ebates taskbar tool before checking out which showed that the shopping trip was being tracked by Ebates for cash back. I used my Ebates credit card for a total of 18% cash back (15% Ebates and 3% card bonus) and after the order was submitted I got a popup saying my cash back will be provided soon. Well, no cash back came. I reached out to Ebates and after going back and forth a few times, they said my purchase was not eligible because I used a different cash back program bypassing theirs. This is not true, I only use Ebates and saw the Ebates popup after the purchase. Not only that, but I got 3% back on the card part, which means it DID go through Ebates otherwise I would have gotten 1%. It seems that as long as you are getting a dollar or two you'll be fine, but as soon as they owe you anything substantial for a big purchase they won't follow through.

Was promised a cashback, made $3352 purchase, ended up upset with $0

Scam and not the company you may rely on. Do not expect anything - they trick people like 1,2,3. Made my purchase online 5/10/2019 for the crazy amount $3352 hoping to get a promissed cashback. Did not receive a peny until today 5/28/2019. Customer support is helpless and do not care about their custmer after all. I would use any chance to tell everyone do not trust them cuz it is so upset and unfair. Why you promote something you are not able to give!

Punished for referrals

long story short i tried out ebates back in 2016 and had my account deactivated because i had too many referrals. after going back and forth with there awful customer service i just gave up. after seeing an ad recently i decided to send them an email asking if i could reactive and try to use their service again. so because i actively used their program and got family member to sign up i am not able to participate anymore. banning someone for using the program they set up is unfair and they give no room for moderation. i would love to be able to use the site as i do most of my shopping online and don't get to go out much because of health issue. alas i will have to buy from another site. here is there response Member Services (Ebates) May 23, 07:26 CDT Hello, Thank you for your reply. I work for them - and I shouldn't have to.

Basically I don't, but MOST of the time I use them, I am the one who has to go back and prove that I used them in order to get cash back. Usually with Groupon or ANY hotel stays they don't pay you unless you harass them. They have the little snag that says you have to wait X amount of days from a hotel stay in order to get paid. Well, I rarely go back to check after 45 days or so and they certainly don't just add it. Each quarter I have to bombard them with inquiries on where my money is because the hotel bills end up being large so I can usually get a quarterly check for at least $200+ The thing is I am the one who has to contact them and find the reservation numbers, shopping history ,etc. It is a pain to do their job. Also, write down how much your groupon discount was because it changes so often and you won't get the right amount.

Purchases an item @ HBC while they have a promotion of 12% cashback

Happened March 17, 2019, up until now my cash back wasn’t processed. Sent numerous emails to their team and they responded it will take upto 45 days for them to be reflected on my account. So 45 days is due now, I don’t see any of my cash back and there’s no way I can return the item that I purchased. If this won’t be resolve, I will send an inquiry to SEC to have this company investigated as this is a fraud

I had been waiting to make a very large purchase from an Ebates store. On April 1, 2019 I received an email from Ebates with a list of several stores offering 12%. I clicked on that email and was taken to the Ebates sight and given a shopping #. I placed my order and the rebate should have been about $167. I did not get the rebate. I have since sent several emails. First they tell me the store has to approve it and could take 45 days. Several more emails later they came back and said that they did not send the email. It actually came from the same address that they always send things and I clicked on it and was taken to their sight. I think company works fairly well when the rebates are just a few dollars, but when it is real money they are quite dishonest. I think this is fraud and am looking for a class action suit to be brought against them.

Ebates should be banned and sued! Absolutely SCAM!

Hello! I want to write a global petition to ban Ebates for their scam! Just google "Ebates scam" and see how many cheated people around the World. I spent a lot of time distributing advertising information, promoting my referral link. They should have paid me $125 for referrals, but eventually, they blocked my account for offenses that I did not commit. I've tried to explain to them that I never used nor second, nor duplicated account, they did not react at all, pointing out the rules to me. As a result, they did not provide evidence and left me without money. Conclusion: the company earns money from the sellers for invited customers, but does not share with customers. They will ban your account without any reason! Please, spread this information on the all board, forums etc. People should be warned to avoid Ebates SCAM! Spread this hashtag in your social network with your story #scamebates !
