Terrible Customer Service

My husband and I Were going to place an order for multiple bushes to be delivered to us. I first spoke with a very nice lady who was very helpful until out of the blue this extremely NASTY man got on the phone and was hateful and rude with me because I was asking questions about how to properly plant and care for the bushes. He told me I had no business buying plants if I had to ask so many questions and that he didn't want my business! Totally took me by shock that someone could be so mean! He accused me of being a competitor because I was asking so many questions. Ummm hello... NO I am just a buyer doing research before spending my hard earned money! Thankfully I won't be supporting such a nasty company!

Dimeo Farms Blueberry Plants Review from Washington, New Jersey

Where to start?!? They have the rudest man I have ever dealt with as far as customer service. They say they have 3 different sizes when we got there and my husband said he would like a couple different kinds. This guy starts screaming this is what you get. His workers know what they're doing he said. He makes 3 million dollars a year. I didn't ask how much his business makes . We just wNted 8 assorted blueberry bushes. He was screaming for about 5 min. He told another customer that he was done with him to get out of here! He told my husband to go up by our vehicle and wait for them to load our bushes. There was no choosing you got what they put in the truck. I will never go there again.

Dimeo Farms Staff Review from Vineland, New Jersey

I attended a wedding this weekend at dimeo farms, the food was outstanding (had rack of lamb with blueberry BBQ sauce) the decor was beautiful, the event itself was beautiful, the only exception was Anthony Dimeo himself. He was constantly filming the guests and even the wedding itself. Totally unprofessional and after speaking with the bride and groom they both made comments on how rude and disrespectful Anthony Dimeo is. Great caters Vitarelli's, great scenery.

Rude and Insulting

My wife and I had the unfortunate experience in meeting Anthony DiMeo III. I too, wish I had taken a moment to read reviews before wasting time and falling into the DiMeo trap. No need here to recount the whole event so I’ll summarize. DiMeo verbally assaulted my wife as she walked toward him to ask a question. He was apparently intimidated because she had a cell phone in her had. He immediately asked in a harsh and offending tone, "What’s that in your hand?" She told him it was her cell phone and he then ORDERED her back to her vehicle! She walked back in dismay as I was trying to converse with one of his workers. He then approached me and began to ramble and when I tried to ask him a question he became enraged as if I was questioning his knowledge or authority. I assure you that certainly was not the case. DiMeo then grinned at me saying, "I’m not selling you any plants, I don’t care how much money you would pay!" I responded by saying, you got to be kidding me, I drove two hours to get here after your employee "scheduled a meeting" for us! He walked away repeating or almost warning me, "your being recorded here on a camera" (as if I was doing something wrong?) and then ordered his six workers to follow him, directing them to the garage area where he promptly closed all the doors and hides out of sight. It truly was an unbelievable sight to behold. I can only equate it to a spoiled little boy taking his ball and going home after something not going his way. It’s apparent now after reading all the reviews and complaints that any logical person would conclude Anthony DiMeo has some deep underlying issues that need immediate attention. He professes to be a fourth generation blueberry farmer. Well I can tell you this, his behavior and demeanor will surely destroy what the first, second and third DiMeo family members accomplished. He truly should be ashamed of his inability to exhibit the slightest social skills. I am giving fair warning to any future persons seeking to make blueberry purchases, DO NOT GO TO DiMEO BLUEBERRY FARMS! There are plenty of other reputable, hard working blue berry farmers in the area that will APPRECIATE your business.

DiMeo fruit farms knowingly advertise organic that he is not certified

I called DiMeo fruit farms wanting to order plants that are organic certified to start a pick your own on 3 acres here in Maryland. I check out their web page on facebook where he advertise pick your own organic and organic blueberry plants. Well this is the place for me. I talk to a women there and ask when i place my order of plants to send me the USDA organic certification paper with my order that i like to place with them. Well needless to said that the owner must had been listening in and he became very offensive with me he told me that he is organic but not certified. Then i said to him you should"nt be advertising organic on your facebook needless to said he just hung up on me. Then i read an artical on Yelp and came across these pictures put on there by Lisa warning people about DiMeo fruit farms organic fruad just wanted to share them .

No Organic Seal misleading with his advertising about organic

I call DiMeo fruit farms looking for Star blueberry plants but i wanted organic since i live down south thats what they grow here. I talked to the owner Anthony and ask him about if he had the plant called Stars and he became angry and said i know want you want early, mid , late season that is are mix plants here we have and i was like OK, so i figure that they sell no star blueberry plant. Then i ask him about being organic certified since i see on his facebook web site its all about being organic but the one thing i didnt see was a seal like the one in the picture here. Well needless to said that was the end of my ordering of plants from his company as he hung up on me. I gusee i said something he didnt like about him be cetified organic and i see i"m not the only one here.

Only one out of five blueberry plants lived.

I ordered 5 blueberry plants and paid them 78 dollars for them. Four looked bad from the get go. They said they would be fine. They lied. Four of them never even straightened up after being bent into a "U" shape in the shipping box. I planted them anyway, and this spring only ONE of the 5 is still alive. I called them again and the rude girl at Dimeo Farms just kept reading their policy over and over to me. Told me it was my fault that they died. WTF ? So now I have ONE plant that cost me 78 DOLLARS ! This company stinks !

Incredibly Rude

I called in an order for a couple of dozen blueberry plants. I'm not a blueberry farmer, so I was just curious about what they were selling before making the purchase. I was very polite- I had no reason not to be. I literally asked only these two questions after listening to her brief description: (a) So, these are all a variety of different blueberry plants? (just to confirm- I wasn't really aware there were so many different types) (b) And these are all 3 years old? Then a man got on the phone ... said that he had been listening in on speakerphone. In an incredible rude tone he announced that, "You're asking highly unusual questions. This is a busy time of year for us. No blueberries for you!" And then he hung up without another word. It was amazing. This has to be some kind of scam ... it was so strange. I did nothing to deserve any kind of poor response from them.

This is the un boxing of DiMeo fruit farms plants

This video shows the un boxing of DiMeo plants that were to be three to four feet tall. The man in the video order plants from DiMeo and was in shock that the size of the box was only 24 inches long. The plants inside when open the box look good but he didnt see were the plants were cut back to fit in the box like DiMeo had said to him when he called to ask. Then he notice the root balls were small for the size of the plants like DiMeo said 3 to 4 years old they are. DiMeo rip apart the roots on the plants so they wouldnt cost a lot to ship but DiMeo charge high shipping to the buyer.

Wow!! the rudest company I've ever dealt with

In prep for spring I placed an order a couple months ago for 15 plants to be delivered early April. We had a horrible winter this year in NH and still had over a foot of snow on the ground mid-March. I decided to call Dimeo Farm and ask to have my shipment pushed back some. The woman I placed the order with answered the phone. I told her my situation and asked if I could push the shipment back. She asked when I asked for delivery. I told her early April and she replied" well that's when you'll get your plants". I was basically in shock and figured maybe she didn't understand me correctly. So I started again, she interrupted me and said "YOU wanted them early April and that's when you'll get them". Now I started to argue and that's when the man pulled the phone out of her hand and told me I could have 10' of snow on the ground it wouldn't matter. Put the bushes in peat moss and they'll be fine. Then he hung up. All I can say is I've never been treated like this and was in shock. I have since received the bushes and put them in peat moss as instructed by this rude company. I can't complain about the bushes, they seem fine, I just hope they survive.

I find it hard to believe there are actually any satisfied customers from this company.

I find it hard to believe there are actually any satisfied customers from this company. Not only based on my personal experience but also after reading so many negative comments. Reading the negative comments written here in regards to doing business with DiMeo Farms is like reliving the horrible experience over and over again. There’s no doubt the man I spoke with has a serious problem and enjoys abusing customers. It is obvious there is a mental condition of some sort going on. Or he thoroughly receives pleasure from being down right mean. Most consumers take for granted they can ask a normal question in regards to the items they choose to purchase. You know, such as how much it will cost to ship X number of plants, or the age or type of plant you are looking to purchase. Well, do not expect anything to be normal when trying to do business with DiMeo Farms. The man running this operation is CRAZY! There must be some type of mental illness going on. I am sure this company has made a dump truck load of money from doing business for many years. And they may actually prefer large orders over smaller ones. I can see where that would be more worth their time. However, they do not advertise minimum orders or that they only wholesale to the industry. DiMeo Farms markets their products as a “family run, open and friendly operation. Based on the comments listed here and my own personal experience, I venture to say; that everyone involved with this operation is living on “pins and needles” working with this obviously unstable man. This man has no control over his behavior. He’s rude beyond words. He’s condescending, cruel, racist, overbearing, dictating, and narcissistic. It’s actually scary to have a conversation with this person. I think most people are in shock when he begins yelling and accusing them of wasting his time. He’s got better things to do than answer any questions, and further more he’s so wealthy he really doesn’t want your money. He told me he prefers at least a $2,500 order. This may be his true feelings, but he can’t stop himself from throwing that out there immediately. His demeanor is so intimidating and condescending; you can’t even have a conversation with him. And he enjoys listening to himself so much; he prefers to give a lengthy lecture about anything other than actually completing the transaction you’re attempting. I’m starting a small pick your own farm and needed 280 – 3 year plants. (Such as those seen on their website) It wasn’t easy or comfortable to get a written quote however; someone actually sent me an invoice via email the next day. The shipping costs were almost $2000 for 280 plants. This seemed high, so I had plans to rent a truck and make the trip myself. No problem. My farm project was scheduled to begin later in the year so I decided to purchase 15 – 3 year old plants sooner. I made these plans with a woman over the phone before I ever spoke with this horrible over bearing man. No one mentioned any problem with this transaction. So, I mailed $150 to DiMeo Farms, and after the checks cleared and I was ready to receive my 15 plants. I called to ask what the shipping would be for the 15 plants, and spoke with the rudest human being on the planet. Needless to say he was beside himself because I dared to send $150 without the shipping costs already included. Trust me, I surely wish I hadn’t. I wish I had never heard of DiMeo Farms much less sent money or made plans to start my farm using their products. I doubt I will ever see my $150 again. I doubt I will receive any plants. And if he does send any plants I doubt they will be the beautiful 3’ to 4’ healthy plants I saw on the website. I’m torn as to what to do. I can try writing them via email and request my money back or allow me to pay for shipping. It doesn’t look good no matter what I do. Spending more is not a good idea. I wish I had read the negative comments before I fell into the DiMeo trap. Their website is very attractive and fills your eyes with beautiful dreams of growing your own blueberries. Perhaps the person who started DiMeo Farms many years ago enjoyed farming. I don’t know. However, the person running it now is a BAD person. He’s either sick, mentally ill or he is just the devil himself. He hates what he does and finds pleasure in upsetting others, and causing their lives to be completely disrupted. Doing business with this man is almost guaranteed to be one experience you’ll never forget. There are lots of honest people growing and selling blueberries out there. I was mesmerized by their website and by passed others to get to the blueberries grown in New Jersey. I am impressed mostly by the power this company has achieved using you tube videos. All I can say it is NOT what you think it will be. I feel sorry for people working on this farm. I’d recommend looking for another source for your blueberry plants and do not let their self promoting website and videos blind you.

Incredibly RUDE

I called to order some plants, they hung up on me twice. Told me I was high maintenance because I wanted a confirmation email regarding receiving of payment and shipment of blueberries. After reading these other statements I am SOOO glad I hung up on them. Unbelievable!!!! So disappointing that people who could be nice are not. I asked one two many questions about the varieties. The lady gave me to this guy and he then said we have lots of calls every day and your taking up time. Send us the money and you get your blueberries. WHOA!!! Click!!! Have a nice day.

Not organic. A fraud.

This farm is not organic. It is fraudulent. I specifically ordered certified organic blueberries with documentation. I put this in writing with my payment check. This is important because my farm is certified organic, and I'm required to have certified organic transplants. Dimeo's plants arrived without organic documentation. When I called Dimeo, the owner told me the plants are organic but not certified. Is it legal to advertise them this way? I don't think so. If they aren't certified, they can't be sold as organic. The owner then became abusive and personal. Then he hung up on me. Wow. Lies and deliberate misrepresentation.

DiMeo labels with out organic Why

I am a concern citizen about this fraud DiMeo fruit fams is advertising about being organic. I found a picture of one of his pints and his label on it. The web site about his business is all about being organic and non GMO and then the label on his pint is with out organic on it. So one has to think to them selves is he really in compliance and if not how does he get away with this. The USDA should investigate this company, this is maybe why he dont have organic on his labels. The USDA would ask him for his certification of being organic.
